Forum - Other Charts: Overseas - UK & US Chart Books

Just wondering if there are books in the similar vein to David Kent's Australian chart books for the official UK charts and the official US charts available to purchase. If so, a point in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
US Billboard Chart Books can be found here (of which there are many for their many and varied charts):

The best UK Chart Book can be found here:

There is also our neighbors chart book for New Zealand:

And look out for the ARIA Chart Book (by me) which will be out in early September.
Thanks for the links bulion, muchly appreciated. Will sift through them this evening to see if they are worth the purchase.

I'm eagerly anticipating the release of your book to help fill in the gaps on my own database.
bulion, is your ARIA chart book going to cover the full top 100, or only the top 50? And from which period? (1988-now?)
Nugs, it's the Top 50 from June 1988 to December 1989, then Top 100 from December 1989 to December 2008.
Looks like I'll have to access the Pandora Archives and begin compiling the Bottom 50 from this year to guarantee my database is complete after your book is released.

Is your book going to be available in stores or will in be an online purchase?
When the promotion starts in two weeks time, I will be creating a thread specifically for it, and it will be through the publishers only.
G'day, i've got a great book titled "The Great Rock Discography" (8th edition) by Martin C. Strong, and it contains chart postions for both UK & US (TOP 100) for over 1,200 artists. It's avialable in most good book retailers.

All Music Guide books and website also provide some great info too, the website has all US chart positions (TOP 200).

Hope that helps a little

David Kent's latest chart book, check out the sample page...

AUSTRALIAN CHART CHRONICLES 1940-2008 is the newest book in the "Australian Chart Book" series, and is available now.

The book consists of two sections:

1 Top 100 songs of each of the 69 years 1940 to 2008.

2 Complete chronological list of all entries to the singles charts. A total of 23,786 titles.

More information about this book, including a sample page of each section, can be found on the website www.austchartbook.com.au .

Grandfather to all us chartiphiles is Joel Whitburn, author of 122 different Billboard Chart Books. Check out this interview at the link above, and check out his collection in the picture.
