This thread will house all my personal charts compiled from 27 June 2010 onwards, with commentary and statistics as in Part One.

Chart Rules - Remixes, alternate versions, live performances and other variations of an original song count towards the original except in rare circumstances judged by my own discretion. - A song can not chart unless the proper version is available in full (no demos), and I must have listened to the full song throughout the week. - I'm also considering some sort of rule to prevent old songs entering, nothing is "official" yet.
Method of Points Calculation All charts' points and accreditation are correct at time of posting. My current system was started in week 18, though I have edited it into my written chart, the old ones have not all been retyped. The positions, and LW WI and HP are correct of course though. Update: So far weeks 1-2 have been reposted.
The point system used to calculate the points in my charts is the regular triangular system, except I start from the 15th "level", so #50 = 120 points for me, whereas in the normal system, #35 = 120 points and #50 = 1 points. You can read more about that here: http://australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&id=26266&pages=2 On top of that, I subtract 105 from each position's points, making #50 = 15 rather than 120, making "Out of Top 50" worth #51 rather than #65. Therefore: #50 = (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15)-105 = 15 #49 = (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15+16)-105 = 31 #48 = (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15+16+17)-105 = 48 etc.
I previously awarded bonus points for multiple achievements including Weeks at #1, Weeks in top 5, Weeks in top 50 and bulleting. There was a long list of requirements, but I have stopped all of those due to unnecessary work and confusion.

Predicting Every week as of 2nd May 2010 I run a predicting competition in my chart, in which I give out clues to what the entries and top 5 songs of my next chart are, most often starting on Sunday and ending on Monday or Tuesday. For the latter you also have to arrange the songs in the right order.
The scoring system used for the top 5 songs predicting is awarding two points if the right song is guessed in the right position, and 1/x if not, x being how many positions off the person was. If someone guessed a song not ending up in the top 5 no points are scored. Scoring for the entries predicting is simply one point if guessed correctly and one if not.

CHART COMMENTARY This week, Mike Posner's track 'Cooler than Me' becomes the longest running official number one, spending its fourth week at the summit. However, just behind him are two strong debuts at #2 and #3: Charice ft Iyaz 'Pyramid' and Eminem ft Rihanna 'Love the Way You Lie.' We'll have to wait and see if they manage to dethrone him.... or how long will he stay there for? Ne-Yo achieves top five status with his track 'Beautiful Monster' this week, climbing three spots to #4, and just behind him is B.o.B, rebounding ten spots to re-enter the top five with 'Airplanes.' Yet another high debut this week comes from Justin Bieber ft Jaden Smith 'Never Say Never.' Justin Bieber achieves his second top ten single (after 'Eenie Meenie') this time around with his #6 debut... but also, 'Somebody to Love' manages to rebound ten spots... just enough to scrape into the top ten at #10, after previously peaking at #11, like 'Baby' did. Bieber is yet to make the top five though... but maybe he will next week. Several songs are showing potential to make the top ten in the near future. The highest of those is Paramore at #13, followed by Natasha Bedingfield at #14, Shontelle at #17 (rebound), M.I.A. at #18 (up almost thirty places) and this week's fourth highest debut, at #26... Alicia Keys' new track 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready).' That's the highest non-top twenty five debut... and is followed by Aaron Fresh, Lindsay Lohan, Uncle Kracker, Gyroscope, Thirsty Merc and the Glee Cast.

Interesting to see Crossfire and Waka Waka just below #50, I thought you despised Waka Waka and weren't too fond of Crossfire. I hope they can both enter.
Strange to see Mike Posner as the longest running number one, it's not bad but I don't think I like it enough to chart it. I'm expecting this will be his last week on top though, something else (I'll guess Eminem/Rihanna) has to take over soon.
I do despise Waka Waka, that was a mistake, it was meant to say Gypsy. I just fixed it. Waka Waka probably never will chart. I don't think Crossfire is that good or anything, but it is growing on me, and probably will make the lower part of my chart.
What about Unbroken? You're charting that in your top ten. LOL, my chart is getting less rock-y every time, it seems. Mike Posner's track is amazing, but at least you're not critizing it that much seeing as you don't like other music very much.
Haha, if you've noticed it's been rising a tiny bit each week since its massive drops. Don't go getting ideas, it has nothing against my #1
Well, it could be positive that Unbroken is still in, Lifter, but I get your point. Maybe something you like will enter in the next few months
Mykl: has the Lindsay song been released anywhere, or shown as an official single? Or is it just a leak? Parachute won't, but M.I.A. and Alicia will keep going, most likely Gyroscope too.. but Eminem maybe not.
M@tt: Most... you only have a top 25 I'm not going to be posting Year to Date updates for the rest of the year, to try and give suspense to the Year End chart. My mid-year top 50 is linked to in the top post and the top ten is shown there... however, just this once I'll tell you that #9 and #10 from mid-year have switched with this week's inclusion

CHART COMMENTARY Mike Posner's fantastic track continues its run at the summit, holding there for a fifth consecutive week. It doesn't look like stopping any time soon, but if it does, he has the longest running number one *ever* - what else does he want? Charice stays steady at #2 in its second week in the chart, and Taio Cruz's up-down chart run of 7-4-9 continues with a bullet up to #3. This song, 'Dynamite,' becomes Taio's highest charter, after 'Break Your Heart' made #4, and 'Dirty Picture' wasn't good enough for the top thousand. After a lot of "just below"s with 'Eenie Meenie' and 'Never Say Never' at #6 and 'Baby' at #11, Bieber manages to score his first top five hit. But not with last week's #6 debut of 'NSN,' with 'Somebody to Love.' It's run is currently at 27-11-11-18-22-20-10-4. Maroon 5's new track scores the highest debut of the week: 'Misery' enters the chart at #8. The other debuts in the chart are B.o.B's third single at #18, Christina's second Australian single at #26, Miranda Cosgrove at #35, Kelechukwu Rowland Okereke (Kele for short) at #37, Kardinal Offishall at #41 and Bieber at #42. Also debuting this week are Brandon Flowers, the Vengaboys and Chase & Status. Maroon 5 and Brandon will rise. It was a short run, yes, my chart is so fast-paced. 'Undisclosed Desires' didn't do much better. It might re-enter though. Scouting for Girls is only a "might," and I'm not sure about those two re-entries, they're "might"s too. If I Had You is unlikely but is still on the bubbling under list since it could.
Cooler Than Me is #1 for Another week!! I hope it eventually dethrones Lady Gaga off the top spot in the Year End chart. Great to see Misery debut but it'll probably drop heaps next week. Good to see Thirsty Merc rise heaps too.
Altogether I like: 1, 6, 7, 8, 15, 17, 23, 29, 30, 31, 36, 38, 43 and 44.
Hmmm the Glee Cats??? Do they sing that horrible Jessie's Girl song???

Mike Posner continues his domination, with week #6 atop (and my longest running #1 'ever'). But he does have some strong competition from Taio Cruz, who climbs a spot to #2, and Maroon 5 who climb 5 to #3. Shontelle also hits the top five at #4, and Eminem & Rihanna are steady at #5. If I was to do 'popularity bars' for the top five, Mike would have 100, followed by around 95 with a massive gain for Taio, and then only around 70 for Maroon 5, followed by around 45-50 for Shontelle, and a little less for Em.
Ne-Yo shows a convincing rebound with 'Beautiful Monster,' back 6 to 12, and just behind him are two drops out of the top five from Bieber and Charice. B.o.B's third single hits the top ten, and pushes down 'Airplanes.' Train hit the top twenty-five after coming close at #26 with 'If It's Love,' and Miranda Cosgrove gains 17 positions to #18. Gaga's 'Alejandro' re-enters the top 20 at #15.
The highest debut this week comes from Sia at #33, which is quite low for a highest debut for me. Inna, Scouting for Girls and Michael Paynter debut too, and 3OH!3+Ke$ha, Usher, Guetta, Taio Cruz and the Crack guy re-enter. The highest drop-out is Cody Simpson from #25, followed by Kele, Gyroscope, Plan B, Kardinal Offishall, Bieber, Brandon Flowers, the Vengaboys and Chase & Status.

YAY! Michael Posner is #1 again! Dynamite is OK but great to see Maroon 5 at #3. Altogether I like #1, #3, #8 (a bit), #11, #12, #13, #14 (used to), #16 (good to see this one up, Train is a contender for my next #1), #17, #21, #23, #31 (good to see this rebound), #32, #36 (YAY!), #41, #46, #48 and #49. I'm already sick of Smile. Sad to see Gyroscope and Brandon Flowers go but why is Lady Gaga re-entering?
Great to see you liking that many, I think you'll see rises from some of those rock tracks you like, including #36. My chart seems to be becoming more rock-influenced (than 2009, 2008 would've been full of it).
Those two might come back. She didn't re-enter T50, just is rebounding but I said 'RE' as it's made top 50 before. Monster: no reason. Eh Eh is basically no reason too. Although I could use some pathetic excuse such as US radio played it around 80 times in the past week which is good for a non-single.

Nope, sorry. After initially being very disappointed with Misery, I've really started to enjoy that. Cooler Than Me I could probably like if I could get over how much I hate Mike Poser's voice. It's so annoying. Song itself is decent enough.

Yes, Maroon 5 songs usually instantly debut top ten for me. I've held Misery off for a few weeks, but it's going to debut tomorrow, probably pretty healthily now that I've started to like it more. Good clip too.
I've only heard it once, but had listened to the iTunes preview a few times before that. It might actually grow on me a bit, since I can see that I'd normally like the song, I might be able to get past my dislike of his voice after I hear it a few more times. I did end up charting Americano after all, now nothing is impossible.

Maybe I'm alone in liking the Misery clip, but I find it kind of amusing, though Adam does have some bad acting moments in there.
Killers/Brandon songs to miss #1 on my chart include Smile Like You Mean It, All These Things I've Done, Bones, Spaceman and The World We Live In. Mostly they only miss because I wait until they are singles to chart them, and by the time that comes around, I've been nonstop listening to the album for months and they aren't fresh enough to get to the top.
Poopykins also works well as a term of endearment. (Probably only for a pet though, not sure a human would like it.)
CHART COMMENTARY No surprise, Mike Posner remains #1 for the seventh week. He's been the longest running #1 on my 'official' charts since three weeks ago, but is only equal second with the inclusion of my 'unoffical' pre-2010 charts, with Gaga's 'LoveGame' in front with nine weeks. The top five has amazingly little movement this week, with Taio Cruz and Maroon 5 remaining at #2 and #3, followed by #4 and #5 switching positions to make Eminem/Rihanna the new #4 and Shontelle #5. Also, Paramore hits the top ten with 'The Only Exception' at #9, and Katy Perry's 'California Gurls' re-enters it at #10. Showing potential to enter the top ten are Miranda Cosgrove (#11, up 7) and not much else except Tino Coury's #18 debut - the highest of the week. The second highest debut is from Usher and Pitbull, followed by Diddy-Dirty Money featuring T.I. Two tracks from my mid-year 2010 worst songs list surprisingly enter the top fifty, those are Nickelback and We the Kings. Also, Lady GaGa and Train re-enter. The highest dropout is from Justin Bieber with Jaden Smith out from #27, followed by Thirsty Merc from #32, Kelly Rowland from #34, Cheryl Cole from #40, Bublé from #41, Cheryl Cole from #47 (after hanging in the lower part of the chart for ages) and Taio Cruz from #48 (after re-entering last week).

Yeah, it does. Those songs are great at the moment. There is one song that's going to skyrocket into the top 4 (pushing down Eminem and those), and that gap will maintain, although there may be another song or two overtaking Eminem.

Anyway, looking at my chart methology of those unofficial charts of last year, I was too biased and "hmm... that song can go there because I want it too," which is one of the reasons that they are unofficial. So, probably, if I used this same methology back then, LoveGame wouldn't have got that many weeks.

Loving Mike Posner at #1, and awesome rises for Usher, M.I.A, Travie McCoy. Sad to see Sia, Eh Eh (even though that's old) and Jamie Foxx dropping out. Overall great chart
CHART COMMENTARY No surprise, Mike Posner's track 'Cooler than Me' is number one for the ninth consecutive week. With the inclusion of the pre-2010 unofficial charts, it becomes tied with Lady GaGa's 'LoveGame' for most weeks atop, but is well ahead of Lady GaGa's 'Alejandro' which spent three weeks #1 if only the official 2010 charts are included. Again this week there is some competition; from Tino Coury who climbs three to two in his third week in the chart, and Taio Cruz who is pushed down to #3. Also, Bruno Mars' first solo single climbs twenty-five places to #4, and helps push down Usher and Pitbull to #5. The highest debut is Mike Posner's second single 'Please Don't Go' at #6, followed by Stan Walker's Train-inspired song 'Choose You' at #37, Ke$ha at #38, John Mayer at #41, T.I. at #49 and Lady GaGa's ninth Australian single at #50. Showing competition to enter the top five this week apart from some of those debuts are Auburn (#33 to #10) and B.o.B at #8. Also, I've observed that my charts really are slowing down from the fast speed of my January charts. Anyone else noticed? Nice to see John Mayer debut, and Stan Walker is alright, even GaGa I suppose, though it's an extremely weak single for her, her worst by far. I hope it grows on me, at this stage it might not even chart!
Still not too keen on Posner, but if it helps, he's borderline my favourite of your top six, about equal with Usher.
The popularity bars make no sense. I know you admitted it, but I still had to say it. Maybe you could use decimal places to show the difference. So #1 could be 100%, down to #5 which could be 20%, then #9 could be 1%, and to show it's double as good as #10, #10 could be 0.5%, instead of going into negatives. Having negative popularity suggests that you don't like the songs at all, and if #7 is in the negatives, I can only begin to imagine how far #50 would be.
Hope to see Lady Antebellum return, but I don't care about anything else in the bubbling under. Except Don't Trust Me was a good song, but it's so old. Would be weird to see it chart.

Agreed, that Gaga song isn't that good. It'd be stretching it to make my top five, which is terrible for a Gaga single!
What I should do is make it so that 10 is 0% (work it out that rather than 100 to -69% it's 100 to 0%), I just did this to show how big the leads are. It's not that I don't like the songs, I love my #10. I'll see what I should do next week, the reason it stretched into negatives is because of the massive leads.

Dance in the Dark did, top ten somewhere, but my charts were way too biased then, that's why they count towards nothing except a little bit of nostalgia. At one point in 2009 the majority of my chart was Gaga...

Good to see some GOOD #1s rebounding (#12. #20 and #26) and I like all the entries/re-entries except for Gaga (Yuk!) and Kesha (Double Yuk!) The majority of the coming soon chart is triple yuk! I should also listen to that Bruno Mars song.
Surprised you hate CCHM that much, anton. You've probably noticed that it's taken so long to enter for me and has entered lowly, it isn't going to get anywhere. It only charted because the rap verses are very catchy, the chorus is terrible. You might like the Bruno Mars song. If you like it, check out some of the songs on his four-track EP too, probably Talking to the Moon is the closest in style. I think Cooler than Me should easily reach its tenth week atop

However, that isn't the only shake-up this week. Linkin Park's new track 'The Catalyst' debuts at #4 showing fierce competition, knocking down Taio Cruz and Bruno Mars. Miranda Cosgrove's track 'Kissin' U' re-enters the top 10 and hits a new peak of #17, Auburn & Iyaz hit #8, and Travie McCoy's former chart-topper re-enters the top 10. Just behind the top 10, Usher's track 'OMG' climbs to #11, continuing its rising trend, while it hit #1 in early May. Well Posner is still languishing in the 50's and 60's, #57 this week and not sure it'll enter this Sunday. Tino Coury debuted strongly at #53, songs hardly debut that high in their 1st ever week of charting, and things are looking better than what they did for Posner.

Great to see Love The Fall move up, hopefully it can go Top 10 and surprised how high Linkin Park Entered, I find it a disapointing return. They will never top Shadow Of The Day.

Secrets is terrible and very annoying. I would say something around the opposite of that for bubbling under, if Lambert was an unknown flop thing with no exposure, it would never have made the top anything. Chart Commentary Much to Bluezombie's hate, Am8er jumps up sixteen spots to #1 with her "10 Date Commandments," scoring the first Australian number one song since Orianthi last October (officially, the first ever). That track knocks down Tino Coury's "Diary" after two weeks at the top spot.. it falls down to #5. Bruno Mars is strong up to #2, and Posner's second single re-peaks at #3, while his former long time chart topper drops two to #4. Gaga hits the top ten with her album track "Monster" and fourth single "Dance in the Dark," at numbers 6 and 8 respectively. Katy Perry's latest single cracks the top 10, and Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" re-enters it. The new "oldies" chart (copied from anton, hope you don't mind) represents my favourite old songs... there's no cutoff line, it's basically anything over a year old, but I wouldn't remove current charters off my chart to there.
Maybe 30STM will get there next week. The track's pretty average to me, but maybe it's because I'm just not really into that type of music.
I'd have expected you to have an Aussie #1 more recently than that, actually. I usually think of you as charting a lot of Aussie rock... but I guess if that's the case, Train blocks them out.

Horrible fall for Paynter, but excellent to see Adam Lambert very belatedly debut, and Ou Est back in. Not much else goes right for my favourites, so instead I'll point out that your peaks are wrong for the two GaGa tracks in the top ten.

It's not too bad a fall for Paynter, considering he took a while (for my chart) to get to the top and is a rock-ish song. I could never get into that gay glam pop (Adam Lambert) track before, but now I'm starting to like it, similarly to with Gettin' Over You, although I doubt it will do much. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll fix it.
I think the ARIA rule Lifter is referring to is ARIA idiotically calling Brian McFadden an Aussie, so if he was to go by that, Train blocked another 'Aussie' there.
Technically she should be "A Mater" now, but I will never not call her "At Mater." It's ingrained into me now. To be honest, you probably could find something worse to be #1, but it'd have top be something that is an offensively bad song, and the 'artist' themselves is also offensive. So simply putting The Bum Song (my current least favourite) at #1 wouldn't do, because I don't despise Tommy Trash the way I do At Mater.
As for 10 Date Commandments, I've only heard the 30 second iTunes preview so far and it's again horrendous, though marginally better than Kill That Bitch. She is supremely untalented, and irritates me on a very basic level. It's partly the name. But she can't sing. And lyrically her songs are awful. I am waiting for the video to appear on youtube to see if they spent more than fifty cents on it this time.

Her singles - Just Dance, Poker Face, Eh Eh, LoveGame, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro - have all gone #1 for me. She's also hit the top with Monster (unofficial last year, that's why it's not shown in the chart stats) and Christmas Tree (in Dec '08).

And now I've heard the song in full, I can judge. IT SUCKS. To be fair to At Mater, she is actually not the worst thing in the song, it would actually be less horrific without Lil Kim. Lil Kim's part is awful. The video is still very cheap, tacky and skanky, but it is a slight improvement on the Kill That Bitch video. For starters, they've splashed out on the budget and actually given At Mater some live humans to interact with instead of animated people and objects. Also, the camera at least manages to stay in focus this time. But At Mater is still untalented. Her attempts at dancing are ridiculous and her fashion sense is appalling.
On every level it's better than Kill That Bitch, but it is still bad. The sad thing about it is that it's not SO bad that I will watch it again and again for laughs the way I did with Kill That Bitch. Mega fail. Sorry At Mater.

I Saw the 1st Minute of the New Video before turning it off as I have better things to do with my time. It does look cheap, probally only cost $2 to make with an extra 24c for her make up.
At Mater, Ke$ha, Britney, countless other Singing Female Whores (Dare I say Lady Gaga), is there any difference really. There all the same to me, cheap, slutty, attention seeking, trashy, bad role models, talentless, controversal, sex tools for Horny Teens and of course just plain shit. Wow a big drop for Am8er, but another number one song that I'll need to check out!!! Teenage Dream outpeaked California Gurls! WOW!!!! Hope it can get to number one, but the best thing is that NICKI MINAJ is #6 with a big 16 place jump. I love it and love that single sooo much!
Once again, a brilliant choice for number one on the Oldies chart. One of my favourite Janet tracks, and I think she sings it in a real emotional way (it reminds me of MJ in 'She's Out Of My Life'). And of course I'm very happy that Mariah debuts at number three - one of my all time faves.

I can say that California Gurls is a better song, just there was more competition then. In the long run, CG is very likely to do better than TD though. Nicki Minaj's track is very catchy. I doubt it will get much higher but it shouldn't freefall soon.

Haha. Again is such a good song, If is definitely not as good though. I've been trying out several of her other ballads, and have found a few others I like though.
"Taiy" has had an excellent run for me, even if it doesn't appear so, those 3 weeks at #2 and several other weeks near the top and slow (for me) descent = good EOY placing.
Since you like Cooler than Me, you'd probably like Please Don't Go but it's nowhere near as good.
I'm going to wait a few more weeks to listen to Please Don't Go, I'm only getting into Cooler Than Me now and I think it's annoying getting into 2 songs at the same time by one artist. lol that's just me though

omg i so agree - although this did peak at around 70 for me, closer to the edge is SUCH a let down. i really can't stand it! actually the song is alright, but i HATE the clip. i have always hated 30stm video clips but this one takes the cake!

Demented bimbo At Mater is falling fast and it's delightful to see, however she could always go away faster, hint hint. I hope Brandon was closer to the top fifty this week and hasn't fallen away again, I want him to re-enter. Cee-Lo is OK I guess, but Hurts was a much better number one. Falling in love with Wonderful Life at the moment.

Zoe Bawdi is a different person to Zoe Badwi. In my opinion, the Bawdi version of Freefallin' is horrible, but I really like the Badwi one, so it's charting. No, bad BZ, she's already going down so fast, you can't make it much faster Brandon has definitely fallen down, I don't think he'll make the top 50 again. That was my official (since the stat reset at the start of 2010) longest running #1 ever, but in my chart history back to late 2008 (#1's in the top post), it's equal first with LoveGame anyway. Wonderful Life > Better than Love by far. Ratio probably 40:1. Better than Love is an average track, just helped by WL for me. BTL is pretty similar to WL in my opinion, except that the instrument bit is a bit more prominent I'd say.
I calculated these two seasonal charts this evening. I basically got the YTD chart and cut off the weeks not part of the desired time period, so it's the same point system and all. I'd rather not reveal the whole top 100 or so, YTD spoilers and such, but I will take requests. All statistics are for the particular season ONLY.

wow, cant say i have seen someone do a season related chart. cant say im suprised to see mike posner as your no.1 of the last season, in fact it was you that made me discover the song.
I'm not going to reveal Posner's YTD position, but it's definitely not impossible. You'll have to wait and see in about 3 months and a half (I'm considering changing my chart year to calendar year).
Well, Ben, I think I was the first to chart it, and it was multiple weeks at #1 for me before anyone else jumped on it I think, so I'm not surprised. Hopefully I can make people discover good songs again, lol.
I debuted it on May 30. It spent 3 weeks shuffling around below 50 before that, waiting for me to download it, or rather, pester you to send me a copy of it , so I could properly hear it, really. So that takes you to May 9.
Well I debuted it (Cooler Than Me) on January 1st when I overheard Posner (or whoever wrote it) humming it to themselves. That day it reached #10954 on my charts. So you guys have to have been charting it last year to have been first now!
Totally not surprised with Posner's position for last season (and wont be surprised if its #1 or #2 of the year, as it would be competing with Telephone at least) I knew about the song a few weeks before before I charted it because of you 392, but I wasnt able to chart it until it charted on ARIA
Yeah, totally. I do a daily top 20,000 and then compile all seven of them to make my weekly top 50. It used to take ages but now I've gotten so quick it only takes about an hour.
I do a weekly top 100-ish. I don't save anything below #50.
I think some of the chart runs in the Autumn chart are incorrect, so disregard those. I think some chart runs have been incorrectly matched to songs, I'll have a look over it.
392414's Personal Top 50 - September 19, 2010 (Week 39)
Cee Lo Green is steady at #1 this week, and former-2-week-#1 from Hurts rebounds slightly back to #2. Rihanna makes a large jump from #12 to #3 with her latest, "Only Girl (In the World)," helping to push Bruno Mars down to #4. Showing potential are will.i.am/Nicki Minaj at #5 and Far East Movement at #6. To Hijinx's great disappointment, Katy is pushed down to #7 with Teenage Dream, and Mike Posner keeps two tracks steady in the top ten. After spending two weeks low in the chart earlier this year, Inna re-enters with Hot at #39. She also enters with Amazing at #13, giving her her highest position on the chart yet. Amazing is the only debut this week , the second re-entry is David Guetta & Kid Cudi's Memories at #48.

Excellent top two! F U has grown on me a lot since last week, but I would still prefer to see Wonderful Life at #1. Unfortunately 3-6 are all completely boring or awful. I Like That is a million times better than Bruno. His song is nothing new and at least I Like That has some life in it. If it couldn't get to #1, Bruno certainly shouldn't!
I disagree. I Like That is so annoying and repetitive and it also presents nothing new. It's more American crap as clearly it's talking about being a slut The beat is just like any other dance beat and the backing music is so empty, it is almost as trashy as a Kesha song. It's definitely better vocally and lyrically, probably musically too. That's the thing, dance tracks serve a different purpose to R&B love songs, and while a dance track may just have a cheap beat and a few words over it, it can still be as good a song.

Well, are you just saying now that they both sound like music? Little Lion Man is not a dance track at all, nor is Plans. A song that I'd say is similar to I Like That is Like a G6 for example.
Well, I don't even know if you're being serious or not, but I'll respond as if you are, at least in the first sentence. When I say Just The Way You Are sounds like eighty other songs (no I have not counted, it's a random number I selected ) that have charted this year, I simply mean it's of an extremely similar style to many others. This is mostly attributed to Bruno Mars featuring on a few songs already and doing the same sort of thing, and also how big this type of song is at the moment. So many artists that do this kind of thing have emerged this year, and they're almost all interchangeable. In a few years, if most people hear one of these songs on the radio, they won't immediately be able to remember whose song it is. (Though most Auscharts members probably will because we're chart nuts.)

Yeah, but saying a song 'sounds like' another doesn't mean you're saying it sounds exactly like the other. There's room to say there are similarities without them needing to be exact copies. My best example is always Anastacia's "I'm Outta Love" and "One Day In Your Life." There are noticeable differences when you listen to each song, but even if you paid me to not stuff it up, I couldn't sing "One Day In Your Life" without transitioning partway through into "I'm Outta Love" and not realising when it happened.

No. I'd nearly welcome At Mater back into the top three, but she's still worse. I've only heard Like A G6 once, which isn't enough to hate that much. And Bruno and Rihanna's songs are more massively overrated and boring/vocally appalling. Do not worry, I still despise that putrid pile of stinky trash more than those three, but they are bad.

Far East Movement's US iTunes #1 "Like a G6" remains at #1 for the second week, holding off little competition offering Rihanna who is #2. will.i.am and Nicki Minaj's version of "Video Killed the Radio Star" rebounds and new peaks at #3, followed by another rebound from Katy's "Teenage Dream," but that doesn't manage to score a new peak. They push down Bruno Mars to #5. With his run of 29-4-5-3-2-2-3-2-4-3-5, he scores his 10th week in the top five, but will he ever reach the summit?
A special mention this week goes to Mike Posner's "Cooler than Me." Dropping from 10 to 12 this week, it spent nine weeks at number one and seventeen weeks in the top ten. Pretty sure those're both records. Congrats mate

Oldies is pretty similar to last week, I'll do an update in a few weeks' time.
Well, I'll comment but I'm not sure if I can enjoy. If I thought your top three was horrific last week, I now have to think of a word to express even more disgust, because Bruno was somehow the best of the three, and he's gone and been replaced with one of the absolute worst songs of the year. Check It Out is utter trash. At Mater WOULD be a better top three choice than that vile excuse for a song. And I think she's better than Like A G6 too, that song is awful.
Ahem. Great jumps for Teenage Dream and The Ready Set as well as Nelly. Nice to see Justice Crew enter, along with Adam Lambert, but your chart really did not need MORE Nicki Minaj, and especially not with Sean Kingston attached. He'd seriously be better off sticking with Bieber, who is a trillion times more talented and appealing than Sticki Minaj.
Closer To The Edge remains awesome and should be nowhere near the worst song of the week. Instead I'll just read your chart from bottom to top and pretend it's #1 and Like A G6 is the worst song of the week. I'm much happier now.

Well, you are the first person to respond to that statement, ever Wow. It's not one of my strongest weeks top three-wise, but it's not extremely week like some of the weeks in the earlier part of the year, such as when Taylor's Fairytale hit number one. I love Check It Out, while they're both annoying artists and the clean version is very annoying, the uncleaned version is great and extremely catchy. I'd probably say both CIO and G6 are better than At Mater's track, but I did place it at number one once upon a time.
Well, how about you blame Minaj for having to feature on every single new urban track? It's not my fault all the decent artists have no work with her around
Closer to the Edge remains eww-crap and deserves to be the worst song of the week. I can't stand it. If you like, read it that way, but you'll find a hell of a lot of longevity issues, high debuts, moves in weird places, weird(er) chart runs, plus if I have oldies in between the dropouts and worst song that will screw it up too.

Pretty much everything I like has dropped this week, but the Lambert debut and rebound is alright.
That's a lot of symbols in there! And I don't blame Sticki Minaj for featuring on every song going at the moment, money is money (though I would hope she's not getting paid much, she certainly doesn't earn it.) I blame all the imbecile artists/record companies who keep using her and actually think she has a semblance of talent or a pleasant voice.
I'm fine with reading the chart upside down, though Teenage Dream is gone, I also get to see Like A G6, CIO, Bruno and Rihanna not in the top fifty. High debuts don't fuss me, and though your new "top ten" isn't great, it's not awful.
Yes your Top 3 sucks. Get the only decent Track in your Top 10 to #1 that being Bruno.

To most members on this site's hatred, Black Eyed Peas' frontman will.i.am and Nicki Minaj ascend two places to the top with "Check It Out," becoming the 22nd number one (ever/this year, same thing on this chart).
In May, specifically the 23rd, Enrique Iglesias debuted at #1 with his collaboration with the artist featured in more songs than Nicki is, Pitbull - "I Like It." The song spent two weeks at the top, and fourteen weeks in the top 50, dropping out a little over a month ago. This week, Enrique's second single, with Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, just misses the top spot: "Heartbeat" debuts at #2. Will it make the #1 spot?

Radioactive is SUCH a let down! like i actually can't get into it. Flopped majorly on the New Zealand charts and I expect it to do the same. From your Oldies Tracks, I LOVE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 (the best!), 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15 so pretty much all of them. I also like #1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 from your top 10. Hope Bottoms Up can go up soon.

The top three is somewhat improved this week, as I like Heartbeat, so now only two of the three of them are awful songs. I hope it gets to number one. Bawdi and Perry have the only other songs I like in the top ten but down lower it's great to see jumps for Justice Crew and Adam Lambert and I guess Pink's debut is OK too. You didn't need ANOTHER Sticki Minaj song in there though!
I hate none of the oldies tracks, though J-Lo's and Eve/Gwen Stefani don't do much for me. The best song of all time should be higher up than #14 though.
Radioactive is good but not as good as Closer To The Edge, so I guess your worst song of the week is slightly improved in that regard. However your current #1 (or maybe #3, undecided yet which is worse) would be my worst song of the week.
Hmmm Heartbeat is somewhat decent so good to see that in there! Unforunately its the only good song I like in the top 5. Sad to see lots of my favourites drop.
Most of the dropouts are meh or old but most of the new debuts aren't as good either. Pink is alright but I don't really know the rest

Very fierce competition for the #1 this week and an extremely strong final top two. After holding at #1 until about a few weeks ago, will.i.am & Nicki are pushed down to #2. The artist responsible for this has achieved 2 featured #1's, but this is his first solo number one. "Just the Way You Are" is #10 this week, and the number one song, which is the fifth #1 debut this year is "Grenade." Congratulations Bruno!

Rihanna has the highest debut at #3 with Love the Way You Lie Part Two. Part One originally peaked at #3 as well, will Part 2 beat Part 1?
Alejandro drops out! After 27 weeks in and a peak of #1 for 3 weeks. Bad Romance stays in at #49.

Great to see Stereo Love stay at #1, and Cee Lo & Posner rebounding into the top 5, with Stromae & Badwi back in the top 10. Massive 16 place jump for Heartbeat, and nice to see Lambert at a new peak of 14. I also like the 20 place jump for Katy B, and the rebounds for Little Red & Mark Ronson.
The best thing about your chart 392 is that it gives me extra insight into why some songs are huge on the ARIA charts. It's nice to see what the yoof of today are loving. Doesn't mean I have to accept the success on ARIA but at least I can begin to understand why.
Hopfelly G6 won't last long at #1. Stereo Love deserves to the top spot on your chart.

Well, 24 weeks is still good. After spending all that time at #1, I just started to get sick of it too quickly - that's probably why I'm not really sick of California Gurls yet; while it's older, it only peaked at #4 and spent very little time top ten.

Great to see Rihanna move into the top 5, and it is absolutely brilliant to see the BEPs in the top 10 with one of their best tracks ever! Also great to see Bruno, Posner, Badwi & Stromae all down, too bad Firework had to go down, but instant classic TD going back up makes up for it entirely!
The album was released on 24 August 2009 and the single was released in March, according to Wikipedia, but anyway, the way you said that makes it come out as 1 year of age is too recent. Assumed sarcasm fail.
On time for once! "Stereo Love" racks up a third (non-consecutive) week at #1, and commences a mostly dance-filled top 10. Just about every song in there could pass of as dancey. Either way, Pitbull has a massive jump and hits the #2 spot, while G6 is steady and Memories re-peaks (originally peaked around February some time). Taio Cruz has the highest debut with his 4th? single, "Higher." "Break Your Heart" peaked at #4, "Dynamite" peaked at #2 and is #49 this week, and "Dirty Picture," after finally entering 2 weeks ago, is #29 this week (at a new peak). Also entering are a possible future single from Bruno Mars and a GaGa album track from TFM. Two Cheryl tracks re-enter.

Almost a year gone by - today marks my 50th chart!
With this special time-based achievement I thought I'd do a view over weeks on the chart this week. - Bad Romance, which still refuses to drop out, hits the 50-week mark today. Congratulations, longest runner! - The equal second longest chart runners at the moment are California Gurls and Alejandro. Both of them hit the 30 mark this week. - Memories is the highest song with >20 weeks, which is at #21. The highest song with >10 weeks is Like a G6, which is firmly stuck in the top 5 at #4 this week. - Stereo Love remains at #1, becoming the official 2nd longest running #1, behind Cooler than Me (9 weeks). - Just the Way You Are and Your Love also make the 20 mark this week.
Ke$ha's unfortunately good song We R Who We R rebounds up to #2 today. Her last top 2 hit, or top 12 hit for that matter was Blah Blah Blah, which made #1 in the first week of March this year. Your Love Is My Drug made #13 and Take It Off made #15. TiK ToK only officially made #5, but made #2 in the unofficial 2009 charts.
The Black Eyed Peas score themselves another top five hit - The Time (The Dirty Bit), or shall I make it (The Dirty Bitch) since I feel like impersonating Brandon and carrying on a dated joke at the moment. To most auschartians' hate it ascends from #7 to #5. Their last top 5 hit was Imma Be, which somehow made #2 earlier this year. From The E.N.D., Rock that Body made #1, Boom Boom Pow made #2, Meet Me Halfway made around #5 and I honestly have no idea where that IGF crap made, but I'm sure it was too high.
Every year in December I start to pick up on my Christmas tracks and play them regularly. With that help, Oh Santa, after previously stalling-ish in the 30s makes a massive 30-place jump up to #6, and Christmas Tree re-enters at #13. Christmas Tree's other week in the chart was on 27 December 2009, the first official chart of mine. The next week it dropped out (from #8). As Christmas approaches, you may see some impact from Mariah's first Christmas single, All I Want for Christmas Is You, and maybe another one or two from somewhere.

I think so too, alley. I never say I love her because I hate so much of her material, and that tends to overshadow the awesome material she has too. Oh Santa is just a really good song, top 5 isn't that hard to get in at the moment, if you look at #5

Aah I thought I had heard a different song by Enrique (different name), I didn't put two and two together but now I know. That songs alright I guess, at least Ludacris doesn't drag it down to a 1 star rating.
I do like Christmas music. Not the traditional songs that 1-year-olds and 80-year-olds sing, the more modern ones ala Oh Santa, Christmas Tree, etc. I hope it can manage to be a hit in the singles charts, but I fear that won't happen. It's already December...
Ahh okay, well, at least you don't mind it. It's more of a club hit than a radio hit IMO, but it's already #26 or something in the pop charts, so I'm wrong. Agreed about Ludacris, most of these annoying rent-a-rappers just drag down songs. Hopefully this must-have rap verse fad will fade out within a few years, I don't think it helps anything now that everyone does it.
Excellent to see Keshit move up to #2, hopefully it can reach #1 but The Time would make a quality #1 too. Great to see the horrible Memories down to #12 and I really enjoy those Christmas Tracks too. "Jingle Bells Batman Smells Robin Laid An Egg".

This is my extremely late chart for last weekend. There should be a new chart on Sunday or early in the week, which would be for the 22/12 ACW, so this chart shouldn't need to be acwated at any point, but if the new chart isn't posted by Wednesday, then include this one.
This is the second last week of eligibility for my 2010 year-end chart. "Stereo Love" is steady at #1, and after stalling in the lower end of the chart, Natasha Bedingfield's "Strip Me!" bullets up thirty spots to #2, pushing Ke$ha down a spot to #3. Also entering the top ten are Chris Brown with "Yeah 3x" (also known as "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! 3X!" and supposedly "I'm Not Alone" ) and a former #1, "Grenade" by Bruno Mars. Those three top ten entries replace Taio Cruz "Higher," Rihanna featuring Drake "What's My Name" and Far East Movement featuring Ryan Tedder "Rocketeer."

wow what a big jump for strip me! i do like that song but found it underwhelming after touch. but altogether it's a shame that that didn't chart anywhere.
great to see yeah 3x jump into the top ten and big jumps for sleazy (that song is so skanky) and sex on the radio!

For the last chart of the year we have a number one debut - the 26th number one song, and the 7th number one debut. The new #1 is from Puff Daddy/P. Diddy/etc's group Diddy-Dirty Money featuring Skylar Grey on the choruses, and it's called "Coming Home." It's like Airplanes Part 349032, but is so much better than most of the other Airplanes ripoffs. <3
After spending five non-consecutive weeks at the summit, last week's chart topper, "Stereo Love" is pushed down two positions to #3. Helping push it down is Chris Brown's "Yeah 3x" (I'm Not Alone), which jumps up two spots to #2. Natasha Bedingfield's "Strip Me" drops #2 to #4 after its 30-spot jump last week, and Ke$ha drops two spots to #5 with "We R Who We R."
The second highest debut is a random urban track from Rick Ross: "Aston Martin Music" (featuring Drake and Chrisette Michele), which enters the chart at #23. Australian group with a US hit Sick Puppies debut at #27 with "Maybe," and Nicki Minaj enters at #35 with "Right thru Me." Also debuting are "Black & Yellow," "I Run to You," "Just a Guy" and "No Hands." "Touch" and "Animal re-enter."

Do you know if Natasha's "Strip Me" will be released in Australia, is she gonna release a comeback album in 2011.
lol Brandon, "Touch" was the first single from the album, and that flopped in the US. "Strip Me" was the second single and it flopped too. The amazing album was released a couple months or so ago and I'm pretty sure it flopped too. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll try marketing it here.

Mike Posner's second single from "31 Minutes to Takeoff" failed to match its predecessor's success, but yet managed to spend a large 21 weeks in the chart, and peaked at #3. This and "Cooler than Me" are his only charters, but (not counting features) he's one of two artists to have two songs in the top ten.

While Far East Movement's debut single only spent 3 non-consecutive weeks atop (making it the equal 3rd longest runner at #1 "ever"), it spent 14 of its 15 weeks in the top ten, and 11 of those in the top 5, to the annoyment of most posters here. The follow-up from "Free Wired," "Rocketeer" (featuring Ryan Tedder) has only peaked at #10 and made #108 of the year, but it has time to do better.
392414's #7 of 2010 BRUNO MARS - JUST THE WAY YOU ARE (26,728)
After guesting on B.o.B's "Nothin' on You" and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire," Bruno Mars' first solo single, from his album "Doo-Wops and Hooligans" shot its way to the top, but failed to peak any higher than #2. However, it spent 12 weeks in the top ten, three of those at #2 and three of those at #3, which took him this high in the year-end list. The follow-up "Grenade" managed to make the top for one week and ended up at #29 of the year.

B.o.B's debut single, from his album "The Adventures of Bobby Ray," which featured Bruno Mars, shot straight to the top, and while it only managed one week at #1, it spent 7 weeks in the top three and 30 in the full chart. The follow-up "Airplanes," which featured Hayley Williams, the vocalist from Paramore, made 2 weeks at #1, but only managed to make #11 of the year. The third single "Magic" (featuring Rivers Cuomo, from Weezer) peaked at #7 and made #18 of the year, and the fourth single "Don't Let Me Fall" flopped epicly (HP-34, WI-03, EOY-261, entire chart run before single announcement).

Lady GaGa's first single from her second album, "Bad Romance" lands at #5. It spent every week of the year in the top 50, but only 9 of those 52 weeks in the top ten. If the chart year ran from October to September, then this song would most likely be number one, with the help of its unofficial six weeks at the top. The following two singles from "The Fame Monster" are yet to place in this list, but that's only really due to their later release dates, "Bad Romance" remains her best track.

While the first single from Taio Cruz's second album "Rokstarr," "Break Your Heart," only managed a peak of #4, a single-platinum accreditation and a year-end placing of #79, the second US single, "Dynamite," managed to perform much better. While it never got all the way to the top, it has so far spent 27 weeks in the chart (13 in the top 10), and peaked at #2 for 3 consecutive weeks. The third international single, "Dirty Picture" (featuring Ke$ha) didn't manage to be good/catchy/convincing enough until November, and has only managed to peak at #29. It made #189 on the year-end list. The fourth US single, "Higher" (solo, Kylie and Travie versions combined) has so far peaked at #8 and made #128 on the year-end list.

Wow I certainly didn't expect Dynamite to be so high but that's a decent run (although Bad Romance SHOULD be higher! what a great song!!!) Only Girl and Just The Way You Are are great tracks too in your top ten.

Lady GaGa's second single from her second album, "The Fame Monster," made two weeks at number one early in the year, and went on to spend 37 weeks in the chart, and achieve a quadruple platinum accreditation. The first single, "Bad Romance," was #5 of the year, so only the third single, "Alejandro," is yet to place. The 9-minute video of this song would probably be my second favourite video of the year, behind "Bad Romance," but I kinda discontinued my weekly video charts so I don't know for sure. Regardless, the video was amazing.

Mike Posner's debut single from his album "31 Minutes to Takeoff" managed to rack up an astonishing nine weeks at number one (the most ever), and spent 24 weeks in the chart, and achieved a quadruple platinum accreditation. The follow-up, "Please Don't Go" made #9 of the year, making Posner the only artist apart from GaGa to have ≥2 songs in the top ten. With two more weeks at #1, this song would have been the best charting song of the year, but he has to settle with #2. Still, that's a big achievement, isn't it?

With an astonishing 41 weeks in the top 50, three weeks at number one, fourteen weeks in the top ten and a quadruple platinum accreditation, Lady GaGa's third single from her second album "The Fame Monster" is actually quite deserving of its year-end placing. With "Telephone" at #3 and "Bad Romance" at #5, Lady GaGa would also quite easily be the top artist of the year, and she definitely deserves that. The video to "Alejandro" went a little too far and wasn't as good as the others, but it's still a nice clip, and it goes well with the song lyrics and theme. <3
