Here is where I will slowly reveal my end of year chart. I am slowly going to unveil my chart by going backwards and hopefully my Top 100 will be revealed the day of the ACW Braodacast or the day after. Just to help build some level of suspense for the broadcast.
This year 575 different songs charted on my combined world chart. So I think I'll reveal 25 songs at a time. I may provide chart commentary as we reach the higher end of the chart, but we'll see. Please note that some of the High positions are based upon previous years eg 2009 ranking And weeks in include any weeks from previous years. Without any further delay let's begin the countdown!!!!! Thanks for your comments antonnalan and Mykl. I've made a pact with myself overnight that I'll post a new bunch of 25 after a comment has been received over the previous 25. If that doesn't happen, then the next one will be done first thing next morning.
Even I'm surprised at how old some of these songs are. But most are appearing based upoin 1 or 2 weeks in the chart, so they were proabbly leftovers from the previous year and dropped out of a country's Top 20 very quickly.
Fight For This Love was more 09 in the UK and Ireland. Also keep in mind that for about the first 3-4 months of my chart last year it was only a Top 50 and the accumulated points were applied slightly different. The expansion to Top 100 also resulted in 3 extra charts being used.
I enjoy Everybody Hurts. I hated We Are The World 25 for so long. But over the Christmas break I heard it again and realised I may have been to harsh on it - although Wyclef's contribution still ruins the song for me, edit him out and it is good.
And to bring further heartache to you, Grenade missed out on making the Top 100 by 1 lousy point.
You have no idea how happy I was when I discovered The Time didn't make my Top 100. It's the only #1 song from my 2010 chart that didn't make the Top 100.
For people who don't visit the chat room, I will be revealing the rest during the Aus-Chart Top 100. At the end of 10 songs of the Aus-Charts, I will reveal the same positions for my chart. If any one is up for the challenge, feel free to post your thoughts on the Top 10.
Thrilled to see Train at #1, especially since I'm not overly keen on most of the top ten. I Like It and Cooler Than Me are still alright, but I'm very tired of the rest of them. Some nice surprises in here like Dog Days Are Over, She Said and Pack Up, and awesome to see Crossfire at #78, higher than I expected. But for the most part I look forward to seeing your EOY for 2011, as that'll be more your taste and not the world's. I mean, Like A G6 at #44? Ewww.
