This chart represents the combined charting positions of recording artists discovered by the plethora of TV shows out there determined to find the next big thing. Whether its Idol, ...Got Talent or X Factor, they all have one goal in common - to find someone who can line the purses of a record company with money. Please note when Eurovision comes around, the winning song will be eligible to enter only AFTER it wins (assuming it wasn't already charting under previous rules). The artist will only be eligible for further entries if they meet the standard of being discovered through a reality show type of competition.
This chart compiles data from the following countries:
Australia (Top 100 Singles & Albums) New Zealand (Top 40 Singles & Albums) United Kingdom (Top 100 Singles & Top 200 Albums) Scotland (Top 75 Singles & Albums) Wales (Top 75 Singles & Albums) Ireland (Top 100 Singles (from Week 10 - Top 50 previously) & Top 100 Albums) United States of America (Top 100 Singles & Top 200 Albums) Canada (Top 100 Singles & Albums) Sweden (Top 60 Singles & Albums) Netherlands (Top 100 Singles & Albums) Germany (Top 100 Singles & Albums) South Africa (Top 40 Singles only)

This chart will be updated generally every Thursday evening.

Great to see Kelly move up to #1! I hope she can enjoy a decent run there. Tbh I'm really surprised how well the track is doing worldwide (like #1 on US iTunes) but still it's good to see. Great to see One Thing enter and I'm so surprise Inescapable managed to hang around for so long!
Damn NZ charting Good Night! Wow for Mr Know It All's big drop, but good to see Kelly still at #1 and new One Direction up so high. A shame to see Galaxy drop so low. Just a question BillyBrett, do you consider ARIA Top 100 or only Top 50? And is it UK Top 75? I can't remember off the top of my head.
Nice to see Carly Rae Jepsen continue her rise! I'm hoping she can make #1 in New Zealand next week!! Fingers crossed! Great to see Elephant debut so high, it's a shame she couldn't chart with a #1 debut in the UK, but it is to be expected considering the mediocrity of that song. Expecting a big debut for Chris Rene next week. Not particularly happy about it though
Thanks alleyt for the heads up. I did this chart extra quick and dudn't check who Chris Rene was, I incorrectly assumed he was just a random New Zealand act. I have updated the chart now to include him. He lands in at #13 this week.
It's not so much that Australia was slow, it's that it was a slow international release. It was charting in Canada for about 16 weeks before she got the international deal and Justin Bieber tweeted about her which caused her to jump.
While I share your laugh, it's only a dramatic fall because of the influx of The Voice recordings which became eligible with the conclusion of the show, other wise he would have only stumbled to #35 LOL
