Firework is #86, that's only 10 places lower than the start of the previous thread, #1 here we come!
Ooh, and Paradise is next to Summer Paradise
The rule used to be 600 posts and the thread is closed.
Can we restart the numbering as it's a new year or go maybe by seasons? I personally don't want a pt. 30+

Hey CG, you had me confused for a moment but you've got the US & the UK swapped there

Meanwhile in Aus:

29. Boys Like You
53. I Won't Give Up
56. Born To Die
58. LaserLight
59. Earthquake

Ignoring the 2nd version, PRA is at its lowest since February
Whoops, I've edited it.

LMFAO out of the top ten, Turn Me on #10, Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
I was one of the few people who believed it to be a good thing
Part 12!

The Walk Off the Earth cover of STIUTK is #96 on iTunes US.
Set It Off #2, PUK down to #3.

Considering its less than spectacular performance in tehe UK, Ip;m not surprised Australia for the time being is skipping Goota Be You. They probably want to at least keep the momentum going, I imagine if One Thing is a decent size hit, we will get Gotta Be You as the third single.
Gotye - STIUTK

US - #29
UK - #22
Canada - #5
World - #7

The Walk Off The Earth version has apparently been removed from iTunes due to a copyright claim.
#75 One Direction - One Thing

the video is really good too! came out very early this morning (3 am)
@ChartGuru - does this mean they didn't get publishing rights to release it for sale??

@bsb - thanks bsb will have to check it out, I saw some behind the scenes footage and was wondering how it would all be put together.
lol bsb the video is funny, I love the bit where they do the inbetweeners dance
Set Fire To The Rain #1 in the USA
Is it likely to transfer to a #1 on the actual charts? How is its airplay compared to Crapanna featuring Crapvin Crapis - We Found Crap.
Andreas Crap & co. still have nearly a 2:1 lead on airplay I think, the real competition will be from Good Feeling though.
yes it is chris, my favourite video in a LONG time haha, it made me laugh

@BillyBrett - Yes, probably. I see that they are an independent group using CDBaby for distribution. I know it prompts you to make sure you have the rights when releasing a cover, even suggesting how to get those rights. I guess they ignored it.

@BillyBrett: SFTTR has about 4/7 of the airplay WFL has at the moment. However, SFTTR is rising really fast and probably will be high enough to take the Hot 100 #1 within a few weeks.

Gotye went down for a while but is now making a run for the top:

USA - #33
UK - #15
Canada - #6
World - #6

At in US/Canada he's behind temporary tracks from Glee, so is likely to rise by at least a few spots.
Hey Hey Hey (Pop Another Bottle) - #4
I think this may beat Turn Me On in the race to #1
Take Care #12

Also, Titanium featuring Sia is #10 on the World chart and #3 in the UK.

What has caused Matt Corby to rise suddenly
My assumption: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ipem2SFtBEI [/hasn't checked whole video in link]
This is a disturbing change. Australia is annoying me at the moment. Why do they like song like:

Somebody That I Used To Know
Lonely Boy
Brother
Hangover
Hey Hey Hey (Pop Another Bottle)
Sexy And I Know It
Party Rock Anthem
Pumped Up Kicks
What Makes You Beautiful
Take Care
Count On Me

12. Brother (keep going! would be an awesome suprise #1!)
19. Boys Like You
35. Internet Friends
38. Drive By
43. Throw Your Hands Up
45. I Wont Let You Go
66. Better Than I Know Myself (2nd wind?)
68. Talk That Talk
115. No Light, No Light

party rock anthem almost out of the top 50
I would say Better Than I Know Myself initially suffered from being rush released because of an apparent leak of the song. In reality Australia had no idea of the song, especially radio. Now that radio is finally playing it (assuming I haven't heard it on radio), Australia is now aware of its existence. This is where record companies are failing many artists witht their first release of new material. I think they succumb to the ardent fans to much with the same day release same day airplay. While that might help with a high debut it doesn't help the song in the long term and actually may give the song a Glee like run. They would be better off releasing the song to radio and then releasing it for purchase a couple of weeks later to allow the general public time to hear the song (like the good old days of physical singles). This concept is of course totally different to a record company refusing to let a song chart when it is selling enough in the hopes it improves the next week to get a bigger debut.

Different note: Matt Corby is a bit hard to predict where he will land cause Brother is at #12 but Into The Flames EP is #1 on iTunes Albums. And as we all know what is charting on the Single chart is Into The Flames EP. While I'm not a fan of Corby's personality and attitude, I will concede that Brother is his most accesible release, so good on him finally having some success. Can he get Season 5 Australian Idol their missing #1?

Nicki Minaj has a new video now, her lead single 'Stupid Hoe'. Very weird actually (both song and video), but not as good as anything on her previous album (Pink Friday). I dunno, just saying this could be a flop

Can someone explain why Daryl Braithwaite's The Horses has become a permananent fixture in the iTunes Top 200. I think I asked once before if this song was being played anywhere in particular like an ad or something but can't remember the answer.

I love the song but I don't understand why such an old song is selling enough every day to be in the Top 200 compared to other great old songs.

Bravo, with Take Care in the top 10 (and now at #8), we have a chance to get Set It Off out of the top 10 having stayed there only 3 weeks. Battle for next Australian ARIA #1 is a free-for-all too.

Oh, these things happened too:

How is this piece of shit charting so much better than what's my name?
Cos it's way better than What's My Name.
What's My Name also suffered from peaking during the high selling Christmas sales period, there were 40 chart debuts that month, and many were instant top 10 hits. Take Care has had it easy since this month so far, we've only had 11 chart entries, and only 1 of them has gotten higher than #50.

In other news, STIUTK is:

#3 in Canada with WOTE being #2
#9 in UK
#19 in USA

Far East Movement's new song - sound more weirder than Like A G6
Just bought Midnight City and I swear it just moved from 20 to 19
Video Games #12

Boys Like You #5 aswell.
wild ones down to a 17% lead, losing steam very quickly, get prepared for some matt corby up top

gotye's versions combined puts him at #7!

quite a few of the triple J tracks are weakening
The Aussies are dominating over in the UK.

Titanium is up a place to #2, making it the biggest hit there from Guetta's Nothing But The Beat album. (#1 on iTunes)

Sia's also debuted at #5 with Wild Ones with Flo Rida. (#4 on iTunes)

Lastly, Gotye has risen 14 places from #21 to #7 with Somebody That I Used To Know. (Also #7 on iTunes)

Cause no1curr about Glee in Australia no more.
evident by the current top 30 placing
Watch how fast it drops though Whens the last time they had a debut lol??

3 months ago enough said.

to be fair glee hasnt been airing in australia for a few months because of ratings season being over or something
Still they don't get as many debuts as they used to, They used to get every song from every episode in season 2 iirc, Obviously Australia is moving on.
Plus if you look statistically when Australia falls behind in viewing the song sales don't do as well as when an episode airs soon after America.

Plus the first half of Season 3 saw sales split over a 2 week sale period. Once we get caught up with the US combined with the fact the show is airing on a Friday may help Glee return to charting more hits and possibly more in the Top 50 as well.

We Are Young also has the benefit of not being on Volume 7, so it may have legs enough to crack the Top 50 next week.
#145 Quinto Ft. Bull , Lorenzo - Throw Your Hand Up
(no jokes, thats how it's writter )
Gotye is Ireland's new official national #1 single this week. I shall let you celebrate or moan as you see fit.
3. The Black Keys - Lonely Boy

23. Knife Party - Internet Friends. Please kill this song. I thought this was a music chart, not unpleasant computer generated noises chart.

108. Fun. - We Are Young. whoosh
Woo, go Fun., I hope it can have some sort of success here but I am mostly doubtful.
Well, it was at #1 on irelander's last year, Ireland are slow
Madonna "Give Me All Your Luvin" is at #43 now!

MDNA is at #3 on itunes albums on pre-order
Ed Sheeran - Drunk #57
Gym Class Heroes Featuring Neon Hitch - Ass Back Home #71
Drunk! Didn't expect it to even hit the top 100 here since I don't think it has much promotion.
19. Count On Me
23. One Thing
34. Drive By
38. Ass Back Home
51+86. Video Games
87. Troublemaker (Taio Cruz)
Rolling In The Deep #34, OMG just die off with the rest of the Adele songs.
What to know how jaded I've become with the chart? The posts about Ed Sheeran's Drunk made me instantly think. "Yep, the only way to get a hit these days is to have an alcohol related song title, it will catcth the eye of party goers who will download it without listening"

And for the record I haven't heard Ed's song, so for all I know he could be drunk on love. So I'm not dissing Ed (atm).
He performed it on the Graham Norton Show for the record thats why it's up so high.
Ooh glad people are actually watching that show. And glad that people are buying it for the quality of the song and not the title LOL
When did Ass Back Home get to #22! Did I miss something?
awesome to see ass back home at #21!
also cool to see madonna up to #28, new peak!
Lullaby has now cracked the top 50

Mirror is up to #56, cool!

and for some reason I assume will be explained to me, Halo is inside the top 100
14. Ass Back Home (doing very well, nice to see!)
21. Talk That Talk

give me all your luvin' has been deleted
Keep Your Head Up back at #54
Troublemaker #61
Andy Grammer top 50
Madonna's track was available just now.
Boys Like You #2
Troublemaker #53 (eww)
Rocket Ship #86 (San Cisco)
Looks Like Sex #90 (double eww)
Brighter Than The Sun #100
Perhaps Ass Back Home could be a contender for the top spot given how fast it's rising, helped by a reduction in price. Won't be surprised if it's #2 tomorrow night.
Madonna already back up to #92

2 Hours Later and #80

Gotye now #1 on UK iTunes.
Somehow both the US and UK have better #1s than Aus at the moment...

UK: Gotye over Guetta/Sia by 7%
US: Fun. over Kelly by 20%

While here, Flo Rida is still ahead by 30% with the equally terrible Gym Class Heroes looking the next likely danger
76. Looks Like Sex
91. Midnight City

*depressicon*
Has We Are Young become an officially pushed song in the US after its promotion in Glee? Or is it being used as a tv theme for the renewed interest. Just curious. I was under the impression this was a forgotten song of 2011 and interested in knowing why it has 'come out of nowhere'
It was used in a superbowl ad.

Gotye back in the US top 10 at #9.
Chris Brown's 1st Single of Fortune is in the top 100. If you thought Strip was first single you were originally right until the label was dissatisfied with it's minimal success. Now strip is only a "Buzz" single
I hate the term Buzz single to hide the fact that an error was made with releasing a crap song.
Whitney Houston update (top 300):

20 + 83 + 125. I Will Always Love You
33 + 103. I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)
63 + 105. I Have Nothing
73 + 261. Greatest Love of All
120. Saving All My Love for You
144. Didn't We Almost Have It All
163 + 245. I'm Every Woman

219. All at Once
220 + 226. Run to You
263. When You Believe
289. Exhale (Shoop Shoop)
298. Where Do Broken Hearts Go
Fireman #352, I smell flop
Strip was never the first single for Chris Brown's new album, it's Turn Up The Music. Paulini's Fireman will be lucky to chart similarly to Ricki-Lee's Raining Diamonds.
10 + 64. I Will Always Love You
19 + 65. I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)
47 + 68. I Have Nothing
49. Greatest Love of All
87. Saving All My Love for You
93. Didn't We Almost Have It All

I Will Always Love You - #9, #62, #103
How does that translate for an overall position for I Will Always Love You. Top 5?
With the main version now at #7, including all the other versions, I get it at #4.
That's good to hear, while I don't expect an MJ style domination of the chart this week, it's good to know that there is some solid love for her work.
You should see the US iTunes charts - there are 26 Whitney Houston singles in just the Top 100, including IWALY #1 with a big lead.
Unfortunately for Whitney she is ineligible to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 chart
Turn Up The Music is #10, which means that Summer Paradise's reign of terror is over

I Will Always Love You #3
Rolling in the Deep #19
We Are Young #33
For You #59 (A&J, used on TV)

With 2nd + 3rd versions, IWALY is ahead of Wild Ones!

If Whitney is allowed back in on ARIA (With a decent position), she'll return to the Best Of All Time list with "I Will Always Love You"
I have no clue if Whitney Houston will be denied. To date she would have x2 ARIA re-entries both were denied.
Her best of will be #01 on teh album chart this sunday if I Will Always Love You is allowed it will re-enter at #01 or #02
Whitney won't be denied as her record company is Sony. The latter allowed Michael Jackson tracks to chart after his death.

Not sure about I Will Always Love You getting into the Top 3 as it only started to surge on sunday and chart tracking began on thursday.

Not sure about the #1 album either although it wouldn't be a surprise. She'll be #1 digitally but record stores may not have enough copies of her albums to meet the demand. #1 will be between her and Adele methinks.
Just checking. I thought tracking was Friday to Thursday.
It is.
Hijinx or Savagegrant - Will ARIA allow her to chart again?
I won't know until I've seen the chart myself.
My guess is Sony will tell ARIA to allow Whitney to chart. ARIA doesn't decide what will chart or not, they get told from the companies if a song should count towards the chart. As a previous poster said, Sony let all those MJ songs chart so they should let these Whitney songs chart. It allows plenty of free advertising about Whitney albums.
Thanks Hjx & BB

#91 - Safe & Sound
#116 - Rack City

Some hyped tracks:

Pick Up Your Tricks #945
Steam... not in the top 1000, I'm sure it's just being nice to Jessie's Girl at #1000
Here comes Minaj...

#70 - Starships

IMO, Ass Back Home has missed its chance at #1, with TUTM, POM, and Starships looking like the next likely...
#3 Turn Up The Music
#6 Part Of Me
#63 Starships
#84 Safe & Sound
#4 Part Of Me
#17 Fight For You
#29 Keep Your Head Up
#33 Starships
#57 Mama Do The Hump
Part Of Me #3, next #1 please (It's the best out of whats heading there)
Stupid livepopbars being behind, still has Nicki at #57. Hopefully she's the next number one. Sooo much better than Katy and Breezy put together! Is she still at #33 or is she up again?
still at #33

honestly if chris/nicki/katy is to be our next top 3, that will be the greatest top 3 in a long time; this weeks been pretty big in terms of releases too

I'd be happy with any of them going #1
And having Wild Ones at #4 and Ass Back Home, that would be the best top 5 we have had in a veryy long time. All 3 of the contenders are great! But both Katy and Breezy have been there before, hopefully Nicki has her first #1 here. Katy's song for the record is the second best she's released behind Teenage Dream. Just saying.
Bar Lonely Boy, Paradise & Boys Like You, we have one hell of a crap Top 10 at the moment .
Most of the top 10 is bad, horrifically bad, disgustingly bad, in particularly that top 4, but I've forgiven the whole crapness of the chart due to the song at #79.

It's fallen ONE SPOT to #80!!!! I'm un-forgiving this chart now.

Qwote at #8 is unforgivable
I thought you would be happy aswell anton for whats #30
Omg, Qwote at #6, please no further!
Qwote at #6! WOOO!

Now, let's get Fight For You & Starships into the top 10, so that the horror can be complete.
Question: On ARIA Glee Cast are in the Chart with We Are Young but on ITunes it's Fun. with We Are Young. Are they the same thing because Glee Casts is no where in the ITunes Top 100?
glee cast were in there and got high enough to manage a debut, but now the original has risen (only this week) - so to answer your question no.
The original is where the cover was two weeks ago and the cover is where the original was two weeks ago

Also, The Beards are back at #144, film clip of the year
Thanks for that.
Random preds:

Fight For You - #7 by the end of tonight!
Starships - #8 tomorrow afternoon!
Qwote - #5 tomorrow night (ahead of 360)!
fun. - T20 by Monday (somehow)!
Just when I thought Gotye has lost most of its momentum due to Whitney, it has managed to claw its way back to #1 in the World Chart (#2 Part of Me) and the UK with a very very narrow lead. Somebody That I Used To Know has rebounded to #11 and is fighting One Direction for a spot in the top 10 in the US.
Qwote is #3 by popular demand apparently.
148. Flow Rid A - Wild Ones (Radio Mix)

Levels is ahead of Good Feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sam Sparro's 'Happiness' is a little disappointing isn't it? Also 'Turning Tables' is Adele's next single in Aus!

ewwwies, why Australia?
Yay Next To Me. I'm sad it's the free single this week on itunes, it could be a genuine hit, but hopefully it will continue to rise. Ewww to Rack City.

60. Climax (Usher)
78. Rack City (OMG it went up 1 spot... horrible)
100. Say You Like Me
We Are Young #8, yay!
bsb much

Fight For You #4, sigh...

11. Bangarang
12. Starships
18. One Thing
50. Climax
Ass Back Home #1.
Seven Nation Army #188
Ass Back Home is such a mediocre, unmemorable song, it seems like pop music is in a dip atm. Wow We Are Young I remember keeping an eye on this track as it rose towards the top 200 a couple of months ago, but then it dropped out of the top 1000 altogether and I thought that was the end of it, but what a come back!
Ass Back Home is available for only $1.19. We Are Young & Fight For You are also discounted. Summer Paradise, Count On Me and Bangarang also cost $ 1.19. Some Sony tracks like International Love and Drive By are also discounted.

Looks like Warner and Sony have found a good marketing startegy to push their potential hits into the Top 10 quickly...

I also notice that Lonely Boy's drop coincides with a $1.19 -> $2.19 price increase.
11. One Thing
15. What Makes You Beautiful
18. Drive By
34. Call It What You Want
37. Climax
51. Smooth Criminal (Glee)

4 more glee MJ songs further down aswell.
I went to buy Carly Rae's Call Me Maybe and its been removed. Grr knew I should have bought it last week. Guess this now means the record company aims to actively push it now. Which I guess is a goodthing.
For what it's worth, it's #1 for videos at the moment, which is about the 2nd time I've seen it not being held by LMFAO in nearly a year

Also Fun. are #7 now
If One Direction already climb this much just because of the announce oif their upcoming visit in April, I daren't even imagine the effect once they are in Australia. Perhaps something similar to Justin Bieber two years ago.

Moreover their tour takes place between April 13th and April 19th, so don't be surprised if they perform at the Logies, which will have an even bigger impact on their sales...
One Thing is #10
It's actually #9 now

Fun. #6!
Shocked to see #67 but yay
We Are Young #4!
Starships #11+#126
Brother #15
Drive By #17
Earthquake #25
Climax #30
Starships #10.
Just adding to the crapness of the top ten.

We Are Young being the only great song in there imo.

Getting rid of Hey Hey Hey can't be too bad though

Fun. are nearly #3, and interestingly are helping the Glee version stick around the #100 position. Oh and Call Me Maybe is back in at #61, so assumably it's going to fly up.
28. Far East Movement Feat. Justin Bieber - Live My Life.

Has anyone dared to listen to this? Sounds like the worst collaboration ever.

Otherwise:

15. Drive By
17. Take Care (rebounding slightly)
27. Climax
32. Troublemaker
46. Twenty Seven Million
Go Matt Redman! I just heard the Far East Movement song. To be positive, it's better than Like A G6
But being better than Like A G6 is not much of an acheivement
That's the point Billy
oh eww why is it so high, now i have to listen to it

#16 now...
Last edited:
It's actually not G6-like, but it's boring as heck
Justin Bieber fans must have rushed to iTunes to buy it. This is probably the reason why it's so high.
And here i thought we were done with him aswell, dammit
The important thing is that it could potentially push Part Of Me out of the top 10 temporarily, possibly long enough for Bangarang to overtake it, and that would be hilarious

63. Ni**as In Paris (new peak)

Matt Redman out of the top 50 , I shouldn't be surprised

Far East Movement are dropping.

One Direction overtook Katy again for #9.

Gotta Be You: #83
Charlie Brown: #90 (Who expected this? Welcome!)
Up All Night: #92

Gotye at a new peak of #6 in the US iTunes, still #1 in the UK
Fun. 81.1%, moving up nicely.
Starships #5 (Thats high enough, thanx )
I support just about anything potentially overtaking Throw Your Hands Up (did I mention I hate it? I think I did )

Fun. 83.5% moving up decently.
I like WAY, but it's slowing down to me anyway but i hope it does get #1 eventually... Or would you rather Nicki Minaj at #1?
I think you may have misinterpreted what I said, on purpose
NICKI MINAJ. That's just my obvious opinion.

Oh and she's up to #4.

Don't know how long this happened but congratulations for Somebody That I Used To Know being #1 on the World, World (Unweighted) and UK chart simulatenously.

Also #5 in US...
Last Dinosaurs have the highest album chart eligible album

Paddling Out #101

And finally Fun. have started moving again, now 86.2%

Also omg Skrillex is nearly in the top 10

LOL @ Katy Perry already being pushed out of the Top 10.
go Bangarang! I would rather random unstructured noise from Skillrex over Katy Mole Perry anyday.
One Direction #7
Drive By #12
Yes! Bangaranga! in the Top 10!
Troublemaker #10 Why couldn't it push out TUTM instead
WTFewwwwwwwww!
I don't see it?

oh wait it's #9 now.

At least we FINALLY have a song about someone throwing their hands up in the top 10. On that note, Qwote is down to #8 and Troublemaker is up to #9, maybe I'm too hopeful but perhaps the former could make its way out of the top 10 very quickly.
Qwote is the "best" of the 8-10 range, I'd rather lose that vile woman basher first, or magically disappear Taio as fast as he got in there.
Why is Troublemaker up to #9 all of a sudden?
He performed live on YTT or something tonight.

Also I'd rather Qwote go because it's already peaked, which means that it would stay out, rather than just linger and come back as soon as it needs to (like Part Of Me will eventually).
Troublemaker #8, Throw Your Hands Up #9, bwahahaha.

We Are Young storming up now, now at 92.5%!
...because I havent been desperate and irrelevant enough lately, what you want is back in the top 300

I would like to think it can at least get a debut when they're in the country lol
You probably should just be happy that there album is still top 100 on ARIA
We Are Young at 92.4%
Rise down to #94
Rack City down to #100
troublemaker now in the top 5!

Call Me Maybe #37
I Won't Give Up #38

29. Call Me Maybe
39. Kyoto
43. Say You Like Me
51. Safe & Sound
69. Rise

Fun. also killing it with a 14.0% lead.
Pity they don't have the strength to knock Ass Back Home off the throne this week on the ARIA charts.
Skrillex is back in the top 10 but knocked the wrong song out But Fun. have a 19.6% lead now
Sadly it's probably the only time ever that Janelle Monae will reach the top...
Skrillex #7.

And #6 the next morning

24. Call Me Maybe

I Like It Like That back up to #42 after Hot Chelle Rae performed on Sunrise this morning.

Bruce Springsteen #1 on albums over The Hilltop Hoods (I hope the hoods have more physical sales)

Fun's album is also #5 :O

Dammit, Rise down to 99 It'd be wickedly cool if it makes ARIA top 100 this week.
Make I make a suggestion that unless it's iTunes related, can we discuss official chart positions in the appropriate thread, there is a thread for the Billboard charts for example.
I have Hilltop Hoods at #1. 360 ahead of Taio too
Yay, but Bruce Springsteen also has another version at #10, Gonna be very close i think, And i can't see a 2nd version in the top 120 for the Hilltop Hoods.
It may be close now, but I think HH's last album opened with about 20K sales, and Springsteen's with at least less than half that, so I'll assume the latter will slip as the week progresses.
What's going on with LivePopBars?

Chart is completely wrong and the top 68 is over 90%
I know! interesting chart to say the least!
1 Hilltop Hoods Rattling the Keys to the Kingdom 1.000000
2 Carly Rae Jepsen Call Me Maybe 0.998244
3 Far East Movement Live My Life (feat. Justin Bieber) 0.997871
4 Usher Climax 0.996647
5 Nicki Minaj Starships 0.993269
6 Nicki Minaj Starships 0.993253
7 DJ Fresh Hot Right Now (Radio Edit) 0.992581
8 Katy Perry Part of Me 0.990782
9 Elen Levon Like a Girl In Love (Radio Edit) 0.990227
10 Glee Cast Stereo Hearts (Glee Cast Version)
If you look at the Top 1000 feed, you will notice that LivePopBars have clearly stuffed up.

Also, M.I.A. at #90.
Hilltop Hoods! Far East Movement + 2 Versions of Nicki MInaj Gotye no longer #1 on the World Chart

Anyway,

Call Me Maybe #20
Rattling The Keys To The Kingdom #52 (wtf, which is the 2nd single?)
Lego House #111
Next To Me #133
Ai Se Eu Te Pego #709
Lights Out was released as a promo single or something on iTunes, but Rattling The Keys To The Kingdom has been receiving extensive airplay for about a month, but has not been on sale until now, so it shot up to become their first iTunes #1
Go Hilltop Hoods, their first itunes #1!
They in fact have their 2nd as well, I Love It is tied there as well, and that's not even including its 2nd version on 95.0%
LivePopBars isn't right. it says it for USA as well. haven't bothered with the other countries but ill assume their the same
I just figured it out, the songs are sorted on LPB by release date! Please refrain from mocking me if you figured it out first
I don't think that the battle between Bruce & Hilltop Hoods will be close. HH will EASILY outsell Bruce. Both will sell very well.
Based upon my local Big W, the anticipation is HH to be #1 while Bruce will be #7. And we all know that Big W is much more reliable at predicting final places than iTunes LOL
@Hijinx Well what's with the wierd percentages then?
Well the percentages are somewhat linearly based on release date I think, hence why nearly everything is over 90% and it's not until you get to the really old songs that the number starts to really drop off.
Some cool rises:

Call Me Maybe #15
Someone Like You #26 Explanation?
Rolling In The Deep #27 Explanation?
Safe & Sound #40
Set Fire To The Rain #43
Lego House #73
Charlie Brown #76

Now: At 8:32pm
Lego House #69
Charlie Brown #74 YAY!

Message on live pop bars site tonight:

iTunes have stopped providing in-context pop bar information. I am going to see if I can get this back, but in the meantime this site will display the live rankings feed from iTunes without popularity bars. The albums and videos charts still work; the app will not work until the pop bars return. I can still get the pop bars back through more arcane methods, however this requires a complete rewrite of all my code and may take days or even weeks, so bare with me.
2. Starships
4. Bangarang

And anyone knows why Titanium rose to #39?

Titanium I have no idea (similar words?! ). But according to DLC it happened yesterday but I have no idea how I didn't notice it.
Thank you hijinx for the explanation. Quite amazing to see this type of song doing well at the moment, even if it's only because of a trailer.

Bullshit.
Don't panic, this is most likely just the rabid fans needing it NOW. Just remember that Carly rae does have video sales AND 3 days of sales over Justin.

Having said that I do think Boyfriend wouldn't be the worse #1 we've had in the past 12 months if it gets there.
Last edited:
Well I'd have to agree on both fronts, but still, even though I don't care for Call Me Maybe, it's still a much better track that anything by Bieber.
.................................................................
Piss off Justin. I don't agree with you though. This WOULD be the worst #1 in the last year if it tops the ARIA Charts.
But it's a big problem if this gets into the top 10, because then I won't be able to say that artists like Urban Cookie Collective & Selwyn are more successful than him due to having more top 10 hits
Lego House #12 + #113
If Looks Could Kill #13
Never Let Me Go #21 + #58

Hot Chelle Rae - Honestly #99
Hilltop Hoods Featuring Chali 2na - Speaking In Tongues #108
I signed up to this forum just to ask this question.

Is there a way of seeing exactly or even a general estimate of how many downloads are being downloaded by each artist. I know you could do it last year but that link has since been taken down.

I also cant believe Bieber is at #1 atm, I hope it goes down in time for Delta's release
http://www.digitalsalesdata.com/diydsd.php?Region=143460

This gives an approximation of sales, but it's not completely trustworthy. I think this is the previous link you meant though.
That is the right one! For some reason i thought it got taken down!
i know its not trustworthy but it helps Thank you!
Edit: CMM does show up as #1 on the store, and not just LPB

And there was much rejoicing.

Need Your Love #60 & Rabbit Hole #69, would be awesome if they could both chart on the weekend

^ It will only be a matter of days before Lego House knocks Jason Derulo off the Top 10. Moreover Justin Bieber is dropping quickly now.
Yes both are quite likely scenarios, Bieber's dropped a good 30% in the last 24 hours and I'm interested to see where it goes from here. And of course, the 2nd version could push LH into the top 10 on ARIA soon anyway. So much excitement in the charts atm!

Also, NLMG V1 is now #8 and midway between #5 & #6 with combined versions!

Lego House is top 10!!!!
bradwow, I just tried the DSD link again and it worked fine.

Skrillex knocked Bieber out of the top 5 too
just came on to get excited about lego house in top 10 but someone beat me too it.

Go Lego House! Always have to celebrate when an alt song makes the top 10 on any chart.
But it's a double edged sword since it bumped out Florence + The Machine
Lego House #7, Boyfriend #9
Skrillex, but Lego House is #5!
Where Have You Been #87, if this flops I think it's time for a new album for Rihanna
I don't think a new album is needed just a repackaged album will be fine
A break would also be fine .
Lego House catching up to Earthquake!

If Bieber's frontpage ad goes away tomorrow morning, it may be the next song to leave the top 10, and also saving Fight For You AGAIN!

Meanwhile these things are happening

do you guys think delta's 'sitting on top of the world' will hit #1?

Its being released to radio on Thursday with the video clip premiering on friday. Will be released on April 13 on top of doing instores in Melbourne and Newcastle (so far) as well as a Logies performance and screening of The Voice on April 15. I'm expecting maximum exposure will get it to #1 but would like to hear what you guys think

You can see a snippet of the video clip on www.deltagoodrem.com
So Good #12, fast approaching #11.
What??? That shot up randomly

Part Of Me back in the top ten, haters gonna hate?

96. Dance Again
99. Airplanes (random)
The Last Day On Earth was also #99 this morning.

Another random sales jump!
It's on the ads for the Beaconsfield documentary/movie/whatever.

Also Airplanes was on the frontpage of the ad for the iTunes top 200 countdown which has since changed.
What's with LivePopBars now. Everything to the nearest 5%
Timomatic overtakes POM, eh
Fight For You overtakes ABH, Raaaaaaaaage!
................................................................................

In more disappointing news, Gotye appears to be on the decline in the US and is down to #4.
Well FFY is rightfully back at #10 I think, and Let's Go is now up to #52.
Don't worry about Gotye people, I expect a boost next week after Glee performs Somebody That I Used To Know. I know people will be disgusted at that thought but it is a credible cover even if it is performed between brothers, but the context seems all right even if I'm sure the writers just used the title as a justification for the use of it.
FFY #9 again

Lego House is #3
In further good news, Gotye is #1 in the US!!!!!!!!!

According to LPB, it's tied with We Are Young, but Gotye is listed above them so I'll just say Gotye's number one anyway!!!!

Great news for Gotye. Glee's one good deed in a lifetime of failure
One Thing #3

Gotye now definitely #1 with a small lead.
Never Let Me Go back to #11. Go and knock Perry off the Top 10!

That link was much appreciated.

STIUTK has almost a 2:1 lead on US iTunes, if it can maintain it, it's got a good chance at #1 on the Hot 100 next week

I have to say, I find Delta's song rather ordinary and nothing special. I really hope it stalls and doesn't go to #1.

What have I missed with Florence + the Machine. Why have they been rising? I am enjoying their music ATM.

Quite enjoy the top 10 (even top 20) ATM. Would like to see the over-rated Katy Perry fall on the charts. Seems like all her songs are hits and some have been deserved but her last offering has been one of the most songs ever.
Florence + The Machine have had Never Let Me Go used prominently in promos for the Titanic Anniversary (which was on Thursday I think which prompted the latest boost) television event next week. It also helps that it's a good song!

Crystalised #309 squeeeee <3
Titanic's 10oth Anniversay of the sinking is this Sunday, Thursday was when it left Southampton.
OMG as much as I like you Keep Your Head Up, make up your mind
Ah cheers, I choose to believe that it was the ambiguity of the way it was talked about, rather than myself not paying attention that made me mix up the dates!
I only know the date of the sinking cause I am making an effort to watch the movie on the day it sunk. It was going to be in 3D at the theatres but no time suits me so it's home theatre for me.

I checked the Itunes chart this morning and was very happy to see Delta at #12. I was expecting her to be much higher considering how fast she rose but am really happy that it looks like she wont debut at #1. Hopefully physical sales have been weak.

Furthermore, I guess I shouldn't speak to soon because I am sure she will promote it on some TV shows over the coming days but for now I am happy where the song is sitting.

The Last Day On Earth now #51
Wuthering Heights is nearly in the top 10 lol
It probably won't happen but I would've found it hilarious (and great) to see it in the Top 10.
Never Let Me Go #3, Starships out of the top 5

Linkin Park - BURN IT DOWN #94 (not sure why it's all in caps on itunes )

BURN IT DOWN is #64 now

Also I'd like to thank the massive influx of new/random songs lately because SAIKI is down to #54
Blind girl who has failed in her wishes to not be made as a gimmick due to her blindness is #4.
BURN IT DOWN is #32
JAMES MORRISON - I Won't Let You Go #38

xINFINITY #01 please please please!
OMG a version of La Vie En Rose! I love that song! Hope Delta can get to #1
I'm not a fan of all this silly Voice performances charting (especially if it carries over to the ARIA chart) but if it gives a song like La Vie En Rose a change to dent the ARIA chart I'm all for it
Delta & Florence both Close to Carly
Call Me Maybe, Sitting On Top Of The World & Never Let Me Go are ALL on 1.0000!!!! I miss detailed pop bars
BURN IT DOWN #26, SLY is finally ahead of RITD again (well it was)

Most importantly is Sexy And I Know It is down to 69(!) and Party Rock Anthem is out of the 100 and Sorry For Party Rocking is down to 144!!!
the end is nigh for LFMAO. At least for now.

All the voice tracks in the top 100 are a bit annoying and disjointing the chart
I hope none of them chart...

Pretty cool though that MGMT - Kids is #45

Never Let Me Go 95%+9%= #1
I think the reason why all those Voice recordings that are charting at the moment bugs me so much is that after watching last night, there really is nothing so special about these audition performances. It's almost like its a novelty to buy yhem and see how high it can chart. There was nothing in last night that even remotely made me say I need that song. There were a couple of performers that I though hmm I might like them to win so I can buy there stuff but I'm not going nuts to buy one audition song.
I'm all for this just because this chart needs a shake up. Even if I like most of the songs, the fact that 1/5th of the top 50 have been there for 20+ weeks is ridiculous, and I love an exciting chart. Only downside for the moment is Gold On The Ceiling being stuck outside the top 100 for the time being, but I'll happily accept that to see SAIKI out of the top 50

Also can iTunes change over the album of the week already? Just because Rihanna's selling poorly this year doesn't mean that she should get given a leg-up

omg Watch Over Me #251
Florence is #1!!!!!!!!
yay, I hope it can hold up well!
CMM back to #1
Riboclavin Harris has knocked WMYB out of the top 10, I assume it's staying out this time
Reece is back #45 with Shut Up & Kiss Me
Hi, I was wondering if Marilyn Manson's - No Reflection is on the top 1000. I had a look & couldn't find it, unless I have bad eyes.

Also what was the peak of this song in Australia if at all possible?
Nowhere to be seen, and it didn't chart in Australia.

Reece is up to #18 oim2oifmaosimfimaowi

Also iTunes changed up the front page finally, so maybe Rihanna will drop a bit [/alsothefreesingleisawinnerjustquietly]

Also, even if I'm not a big fan, it is cool to see Jack White at #1.
