Yay for Little Mix!
Brokenhearted still on it's way up!!! Awesome to see! Nice to see Wide Awake still heading in the right direction and Some NIghts debuting so high! A new Olly Murs track is something I Should check out. Wow for the success of Glee's Graduation album - is this your favourite album from them?
I would say it is one of their better album's alleyt, probably not their best. Quick rank would place The Power Of Madonna EP as their best. But it is one of the better compilation of theirs that they have put out, especially in a very very lacklustre season, when I've been greatly disappointed in the physical album released that included a lot of poor song choices and discarded better songs.
I agree with you BillyBrett, I didn't understand how Volume 7 could include songs like 'Run The World (Girls)', 'Last Friday Night', 'Uptown Girl' and 'Hot For Teacher' while missing showstoppers like 'We Are Young' (lucky they put that on the Grad album!), 'Out Here On My Own', or the many mashups that could have been put on (the Hall & Oates mashup, or Survivor/I Will Survive). They could have included more variety as well by having at least one Damian McGinty track rather than more Warblers!! I bought the Graduation Album from iTunes but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. There are a few tracks that didn't end up being used in the show so I'll definitely need to check it out! I'm surprised they didn't release another album though for the second half of the season, one that wasn't 'Graduation' themed.

Ooh, great to see Fun bullet into the top ten. Hopefully they can replicate the same jump next week and land on top
Nice rises for Kelly Clarkson, Owl City / Carly Rae and The Wanted. Great run for I Look To You, certainly the surprise hit of the year (due to terrible circumstances).
Nice entry for James Morrison, shame to see Ben Hazlewood down.
Hurray for Agnes (although I don't like it as much as her last album). Nice to see Roxette as well - you're clearly a fellow Swede-ophile!
Horray! Kris Allen made #1! After a 12 week climb too. It's surely going
2+ now, and hopefully a top 10 EOY placing! Awesome rises also for Ruffo (my guilty pleasure of the month) and Fun! The late(?) debut for James Morrison is excellent too! I need to check out that new Olly.

I like your number one song a lot. It's nice that Kris Allen has come out with something different, and yet not make it something incredibly derivative. I'm impressed (more than with Adam Lambert's newer material). Some Nights is great, awesome jump for that and nice to see Wide Awake still on the way up. Nice re-entry for Celebrate too, even though I don't LOVE it, it's always nice having Whitney in the chart. Bye bye Flo-Rida hope he never comes back

I'm not sure why Kylie's new one bombed (sorry, pun) on the national charts. It's not her best, but its pretty good, and she's had plenty of worse songs make the Top 10 previously.
Nice to see Brokenhearted having a good run.

I like Mumfords entering, and Delta's newie is fine. Arctic Monkeys' cover of Come Together on that soundtrack is amazing <3
Great rebound for Home and nice to see Melanie C in the top 20. Great debuts for I Will Wait, Blow Me, Dancing With A Broken Heart and You Won't Let Me. Good stuff! Arrrgh the J-Lo hits collection frustrates me because of the song choices!!!
Nice debuts for Mumford & Sons and Karise. Stockholm syndrome for Justice Crew?
Go Underworld!
@Hijinx - Maybe Stockholm, maybe lack of new songs appealing to me and Boom Boom sneaking in as older songs phase out. Similar thing with Karise's debut. You could say its been bubbling under for a few weeks. @alleyt - Initially the tracklisting to J. Lo's hits frustrated me as well, but when I saw the Australian edition had Let's Get Loud and All I Have on the regular edition, I thought eh why not. It's a decent collection but you are right it's not totally awesome and a good complete collection.Last edited: 16/08/2012 04:11
Great to see Kris Allen's huge longevity! Looks like the EOY #1? That would be awesome! Go Good Time for that next #1. Also great to see Mumford & Sons debut! Yay for Some Nights, On Top, Delta, Phillip Phillips, The Wanted, Euphoria, Burn It Down, Call Me Maybe, Wide Awake, I Won't Let You Go and of course Chariots of Fire.

Great #1! Quite a solid top 10 you've got there, and great debuts this week! The Opening and Closing Ceremony soundtrack are very good, and is great to see in yout Top 2!

Nice to see Alexandra Burke top 10 on albums, along with JLo and the debut for Timomatic.
Nice to see Jess Mauboy debuting, otherwise nothing much else in the way of debuts or risers. #1 is ok... But there's not a single song in the top 20 I love that I'd want to see overtake... So hopefully there are some good debuts in coming weeks (:
PS - it's Spectrum (SAY My Name) for Florence
Cheers Mykl, as I was finishing the chart up, I had a feeling there was a song title that was wrong. I noticed it last week but I was too tired and busy to sit down and study every title to work out which song it was. It will be fixed for this weekend's chart.
Of Monsters and Men, great! Who'd have ever thought the stars could allign for us to share two songs in our top 10 at the same time! Nice to see Birdy debut and Mumford & Sons still rising.
That is an excellent entry for Of Monsters and Men! Great to see Mumfords up and also that Fun. are still in the top 10. Entries for Birdy and Mauboy are pleasing, ouch for Delta though!
Timebomb is having a surprsingly good run for a non-number one song. Pleased to see rises for Delta & Spice Girls, as well as debuts for Jess Mauboy and Birdy.
Great to see Little Talks debuting right in the top ten. That tracks is growing on me! Nice rise for Delta's new song and woo for a Spice Girls entry! Great to see Birdy and Jessica debut this week as well.

Last edited: 09/09/2012 04:50 Great to see Owl City / Carly Rae holding on to top spot, plus rises for Delta, Mumford & Sons, Marina & The Diamonds, Florence and Jess Mauboy. Love all of the debuts this week. Nice chart
Awesome to see Whitney & Jordin hit the top ten! Woo! Nice rise for Delta Goodrem, Mumford & Sons, Florence + The Machine, Jessica Mauboy and Marina and the Diamonds. Nice to see We'll Be Coming Back debut as wel! It's a shame that Wide Awake is on the way out but at least it made the top 20 I guess!
It's really great to see Of Monsters & Men & Mumford & Sons (so many ampersands!) keep on rising. Florence + The Machine, Jessica Mauboy & Marina and the Diamonds too to a lesser but still noteworthy extent. Great debut for Calvin & Example too.

I Like #1, 2, 5, 14, 25, 31, 33, 38, 41, 46, 47, 48, 49! Most of the other songs i don't know though.
Nice to see Owl City & Carly Rae holding on to top spot, as well as rises for Delta, Mumford & Sons, Robbie & Cody Simpson. Solid debut for One Direction.
lol Puberty Blues, I haven't seen it but I've heard a lot. There are some excellent songs in your chart, especially the top 2! Of Monsters And Men would be a really cool next #1, so fingers crossed for that. Also yay for Titanium, One Direction, Mumford, Calvample, Ruffo and Fun. Could Kris Allen get
3 soon?
If you like the music of the 70s, the soundtrack to Puberty Blues is excellent. I don't have a lot of 70s music in my collection, so it's great to have a snapshot of the era on one CD.

Spice Girls are charting with their medley they performed at the Closing Ceremony to the London Olympics. I enjoy it, therefore it is charting. Unfortunately there is little chance of Chasing The Sun hitting the top spot, it's on its way out.
Excellent debut for Flight of the Conchords, such a brilliantly done charity release. Does the Call Me Maybe tribute get better? The iTunes sample scared me. Still rooting for Of Monsters & Men and great to see Mumford & Sons crack the top 10.
Great number one! And good to see you charting Whitney/Jordin and Jess Mauboy. Also good to see the Sapphires and J-Lo on your album chart. hahaha puberty blues
Good rises for Delta, Mumfords and Marina & The Diamonds.
Nice top two. Awesome rise for I Will Wait and Primadonna. Nice to see so many debuts, particularly Feel INside and YOUR BODY!!!!! Wow for Vince Harder earning a spot though, I didn't know he made any impact overseas. I hope Trouble can move up in the coming weeks... OMG must check out the Melanie C song that just dropped out. If it's a remake of the song from Jesus Christ Superstar I'm bound to love it!

Excellent to see Of Monsters and Men at the top spot, I feel it could've been strong enough for a #1 for me but was hit with bad timing. Maybe wait for the next blue moon for that unlikely circumstance of sharing #1s! Also nice to see Mumford & Sons crack the top 5, a persistent grower that one is.

Last edited: 16/10/2012 13:33 Great and surprising #1! Nice to see Some Nights was quite a big hit and good jumps for Bom Bom, Wish You Were Here and Live While We're Young.
I'm not sure what else to say but the top two is just really, really good. Great to see Psy finally making his mark too.

Ooh, I preferred Little Talks on top, but I Will Wait is good too, and also another I wouldn't have picked as a #1 for you. Nice jumps there for One Direction, Sam/Womp, Delta and Psy, and I see there's a Shannon Noll song I should check out. Nice entries for Johnny Ruffo and Kelly Clarkson. The Wanted calling their release "The EP" is so silly considering it has more songs on it than many albums do nowadays.
Nice new #1, good rises aswell for Delta Goodrem & Carly Rae and nice debut for Kelly Clarkson.
Nice rises for 1D, Delta and Enrique
Hopefully they'll rise even higher in the coming week.
Glad and surprised to see Mumford & Sons hit the top spot. Nice to see Kelly Clarkson debuting, and Johnny Ruffo too I guess. His new song is slightly better than On Top. Pleasing rises for One Direction, Delta, Carly Rae and Psy.
Nice to see a fellow Steps fan - even if this song is a bit underwhelming. And I'll have to check out the Josh Dubovie song!
Wow check out all these alternative hits! I prefer I Will Wait though so great to see that on top. Nice jump for Delta and good to see Something New debut so high. Also woo Johnny Ruffo although I haven't heard that song. He's great. Loving the debut for Kelly Clarkson too.

Nice to see Mumfords staying on top, but with that fantastic Delta jump I'm certainly hoping she can take over next week, such a lovely track. Glad to see her album debut quite well too, and Kylie, certainly an interesting take on some of her hits there, not all of them work for me but some are very good indeed. Good to see It's Time debut, not that I've heard the Glee version but the song in general is ace. Good jumps for Kelly Clarkson, Johnny Ruffo and One Direction too.
Awww Kris Allen looks like it's finally going to fall out. Excellent to see Johnny Ruffo, Delta and One Direction rise. Also great to see your last 3 #1s are having good runs!

Still haven't heard the Kylie track, I must check it out! Nice to see Girls Aloud blast into the top ten and Brad Paisley moving up. Nice rise for Leona Lewis as well. Great to see Pontoon debut this week. Also woo for Beauty And A Beat.
Kylie dominating both charts is nice, but I like Delta more so I hope she takes over. Wish You Were Here is quite amazing. Not familiar with any of the debuts yet, but what I've heard about the new One Direction song sounds promising.
Shame to see Mumfords off the top, but Delta would be a nice #1.
Most of what I know, I can say nice things about, but mostly they're on the downslide. Nice to see that Mumford & Sons made #1 since I last commented. At least at a stretch we can still say we share 5% of the top 10

Delta #2 behind Kylie on both charts, hope she gets them both next week, or at least one.
Hope to see Delta take #1. Glad to see that Mumfords & OM&M have had nice runs.
Great to see my normal favourites Mumford, OM&M, Delta, One Direction, Ruffo and Shannon Noll doing well. Do you chart Christmas music much? I hope Troublemaker can eventually chart soon.
anton re: Christmas songs it does depend on the actual song, if I enjoy it I will chart it. Normally have an unwritten rule that it must be a new release though. So no Bing Crosby or Vienna Boys Choir LOL New chart will probably be late again Wednesday at the latest hopefully. I really do hate exam and report season.Last edited: 18/11/2012 06:55

Nice to see Adele enter at what appears to be her favourite number lately based on her chart run. Also great to see Of Monsters and Men/Mumford & Sons holding strong in the top 10 and Phillip Phillips managing half a year.
Excellent to see Wish You Were Here make it to #1. It seems to be a popular track around here
Wow for Teenage Dream acoustic it was a nice performance and totally different to his other version. It's also the type of Darren Criss track that I like so nice to see it score the biggest debut.
Nice rise for Your Body and good to see Skyfall debut.
Awesome double Delta takeover; she's so fantastic in every way. I'm very glad to see her take over on both charts; I was only expecting one at best. Adele and Lakyn's songs are okay; I just don't get a lot out of them sadly.

Cool to see Delta still at #1 and a nice rise for Brad for a song I still haven't heard but must listen to in the near future! Nice rise for Little Things and cool to see Samantha Jade debut as well. Goooo Beauty and a Beat.
Girls Aoud headed in the right direction. Not sure about the Mel C/Emma duet though. I have warmed to Steps - how's the album?
Delta Delta Delta! Shame to see Mumford & Sons down although I must say that their run has been great.
Great to see Delta dominating once again, I'm not surprised at all the X-Factor entries, song-wise I'd agree with your order, but artist-wise I would not.

Great to see Delta at the top, I think it's her best in a long time. Nice jumps also for The Collective, Samantha Jade and Christina Aguilera. Yay for Kelly coming back in, even if it isn't her best output. Love that Wings is still really high too. Great to see Whitney's Greatest Hits up on the album chart, and that Kelly's Greatest Hits entered too.
Great to see Delta at #1. Also good to see Mumford & Sons, Carly, Of Monsters And Men, Robbie, Little Mix, Owl City, Samantha Jade, Olly, Kelly, Guy, and Flight Of The Conchords And Friends.
Nice rise for Little Things, that song keeps growing on me although it sounds heaps like an Ed Sheeran song - whenever it comes on I keep thinking it's Ed Sheeran
Very surprised in a happy way to see Your Body charting and nice to see Catch My Breath re-enter.
Man I'm so behind on Glee it's not funny! Still good to see them scoring some debuts here though.
Amazing #1 but shame to see Mumford & Sons out of the top 5.
Great to see Delta still dominating both charts and a good jump for One Direction. I didn't loathe Glee Nights as much as I thought I would, but some of the vocalists just didn't fit the song at all I thought.

Great run for Mumford & Sons still in the top 10. Nice to see Samantha, Olly & Kelly on the rise too, good pop songs!
Great to see Xtina continuing her rise and nice rise for Kelly Clarkson. Sad to see Delta lose the top spot but at least she can hold on on the album chart. OMG didn't even realise there was a new Glee album - I mainly want to see what colour it is...
Great to see Delta and Carly in your top 10 too!
Awesome to see "Little Talks" with a platinum accreditation! Surprised you like "Trouble" that much, but no complaints there. Surprised "Some Nights" and "Pontoon" are only just charting now, but they're both great.
As for the album chart, perfect #1! Great to see Carly and 1D also in the top 10.
Good rises for Samantha Jade & Kelly Clarkson, Nice to see that Delta got #1 and I Will Wait is still top ten,
Shame to see Delta off top, but nice jumps for Olly Murs and Samantha Jade. I remember Extraordinary Merry Christmas from last year and I think it wasn't too bad, so nice to see it having another run.
Singles: Yay For Delta, CRJ, OM&M, Sam, Olly, Little Mix, Xtina, Enrique, Jason & Johnny.
Albums: Go Delta & CRJ. Haven't listened to either in full. Should probably get arounf to them
Great to see Troublemaker inside the top 20
Steps are still releasing music? I will have to give it a listen. I'm glad that Delta didn't plummet from the top. Hopefully she has a graceful decline. Nice to see rises for Samantha Jade & Olly.
Neil Finn? Interesting. Shame to see Delta lose top spot though.

Nice to see Delta steady at #2. Nice jumps for Olly Murs, One Direction and Kelly Clarkson, and I kinda liked the Olivia/John song too. Nice to see Little Things still moving up and great to see Same Love debut. Also cool to see Scream & Shout debut although that is quite unexpected. Haha to #34 though!!!! ... Ooh Johnny Ruffo Christmas song is something I must check out...
Nice to see The Collective, Samantha Jade and Olly Murs all moving up in the top ten. Great jumps also for One Direction, Kelly Clarkson, Johnny Ruffo and Olivia/John. Nice debut for Same Love, but ewww Scream & Shout, I assume that's debuting for the Britney.
I hear it was Christmas recently
But will this be a phenomenon that lasts, or will it go out faster than it arrived, akin to download sales? Otherwise it is nice for Troublemaker making the top 10 and Same Love debuting.

Nice jumps for The Collective, Samantha Jade and Olivia/John. I have changed my mind on Surrender, I now like it more than Sam's song, and it's getting close to Jason's.
Ouch for Delta and Little Mix falling
