LOL I'm going to a Brumbies game this afternoon, hopefully I can tune in at the end.
50 Kylie Minogue Timebomb 2 80
(#6 Gavin, #16 brosa)
Not too bad, I can't say I like it.
49 Father John Misty Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings 2 80
(#2 Hijinx, #20 irish)
I do love this a lot
I'd be surprised if I can't fit it into my top 3 by the end of the year, and I'm quite glad it managed to slip in here.
So glad Boy will have two in the top 100 <3
and this was another of my solid top 5 hits.
I can't say I expected Kylie to make it into the top 50. Not her stongest track, but enjoyable. Not familiar with 49, but I haven't turned it off...
48 One Direction Gotta Be You 2 81
(#9 anton, #12 bsb)
I like it
This isn't too bad, but I think their other singles are more enjoyable.
Hmm... I like One Direction, but I certainly hope they don't end up being the artist of the countdown.
47 Kelly Clarkson Dark Side 4 81
(#17 alley, #24 Chris, #39 Daniel, #43 Gavin)
I haven't heard this much, but I'm already getting into it more than I did the previous single. Love Paddling Out too.
Great song
Great song, glad it made it in.
I am only just getting into this (a little late to the party, I know), but it is quite enjouable.
It's ok but hooray for Miike Snow.
46 Young The Giant Cough Syrup 3 83
(#11 Daniel, #28 irish, #31 alley)
96 Adam Lambert Never Close Our Eyes
Yay for Lambert.
Really love this song, glad that the Glee performance could introduce it to more people, even if it couldn't do a We Are Young.
Fantastic track, happy to see that it made it
Love this song! like the Glee version a bit more but this is still really good
might make a reappearance in the 2nd half of the year for me
I remember hearing this at its peak for me while in LA, memories <3
45 One Direction What Makes You Beautiful 4 83
(#7 bsb, #21 anton, #43 brosa, #50 alley)
Another new song to me. I quite like it actually. Pleased to see Adam Lambert appear too.
And here's One Direction again. How did Troublemaker scrape in?
Last edited: 14/07/2012 06:51 Fail!
Was surprised to see this make it in, a little tired of it atm but it's definitely one of their better ones.
love this one! upset it couldnt be higher
Still a really solid pop track.
44 Olly Murs Oh My Goodness 2 84
(#3 Daniel, #15 Billy)
94 Switch (feat Andrea Martin) I Still Love You
cool song, I really need to get onto it
Yay! Love that this made it!
I really don't understand why Olly isn't successful here either.
Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:04 I'm pretty new to this, but it's quite catchy, particularly in the chorus. Also only recently heard the Switch song and it's quite cool.
While I haven't charted him, it surprises me that Olly Murs hasn't been successful here.Last edited: 14/07/2012 06:55
43 Labrinth (feat Tinie Tempah) Earthquake 2 84
(#6 Daniel, #12 Trav)
Does not get old
Still really like this tbh
That's debatable
Still enjoy this. Suffered from being a late 2011 - early 2012 track which meant its points were split. Probably didn't chart as well as for me as it should have. Oh well.
Just tuning in and catching up. So far I have 1 song in the Top 100 LOL And D Man I'm with you I really don't understand why olly can't find success here.
42 Chris Brown Turn Up The Music 2 85
(#3 brosa, #14 bsb)
92 Rachael Leahcar La Vie En Rose
I actually preferred the version with Rihanna
It's fine I guess.
yea, Rihanna is the better version
41 Maroon 5 (feat Wiz Khalifa) Payphone 4 87
(#19 D Man, #20 Daniel, #37 Trav, #41 alley)
91 Olivia Newton-John Weightless
Love this track from Maroon 5, about on par if not better than Moves Like Jagger. Even the Wiz Khalifa rap I don't mind that much anymore.
Yeah to Olivia sneaking into the Top 100. I have no life, so that has made my day.
I really enjoyed this when it first came out, hence the top 20 placing for me, but it is getting played to death! Getting over it, tbh.
40 Flo Rida (feat Sia) Wild Ones 3 92
(#2 D Man, #26 alley, #33 Trav)
90 Evanescence My Heart Is Broken
not making these two songs up bsb I swear!
I still like it.
39 Christina Perri A Thousand Years 4 93
(#16 bsb, #28 D Man, #33 Dave, #34 Chris)
Still haven't gone long enough without hearing this
Waitress! Song of the year (thus far
)!
Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:14 I have grown to tolerate the song and admit I would probably love it if it was linked to and written for that dreadful movie series.
It is the best thing to come from said movie series, BillyB
I dont understand how this stuck around my chart for so long, but its a great song and I'll probably re-enter it
D Man: I'd say both bruno mars' and Paramores contributions were better but thats just me
Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:17 38 Linkin Park Burn It Down 5 93
(#14 Chris, #23 anton, #33 Daniel, #45 Billy, #47 Gavin)
88 Rizzle Kicks Mama Do The Hump
This is kind of disappointing for what Linkin Park can do
Never did hear this enough, but it's good.
bsb : I guess we can both agree that the music as a whole is the best thing to come from the films
Not LP's best effort, but still good.
Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:20 It's good but it wasn't even in my top 100.
I thought this was a pretty good return effort for Linkin Park, especially if you compare it with their last album. Yay Rizzle Kicks!Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:23
37 Taylor Swift (feat The Civil Wars) Safe & Sound 2 97
(#1 alley, #4 bsb)
87 Chris Brown Don't Wake Me Up
oh god yes D man, the movies are awful. and I like the books
As someone who usually doesn't like her, this is a really solid track.
It shows off her voice nicely, but it didn't grab me, and it still doesn't. Not terrible by any means though.
I like this tune, surprised to see it in.
Love this song! I reckon this will feature in my e.o.y
Oh, I am expecting this to feature highly on my full year list. Loving it right now.
Expect this to be high in my EOY list...
Happy that this made it in
Great
but it was too new for me to make my mid-year chart.
35 Deadmau5 (feat Chris James) The Veldt 3 98
(#7 anton, #11 Clint, #37 Gavin)
85 Foster The People Houdini
Some Nights has the potential to be in my EOY chart. It only debuted last week for me. very catchyLast edited: 14/07/2012 07:30
Not my favourite from him but a nice chilled out track.
Houdini is one of my favourite FTP songs too
Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:31 The Veldt
34 One Direction More Than This 3 99
(#13 Chris, #14 Daniel, #27 D Man)
Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:34 Another new track to me. I am liking it. The 3rd of 4 1D songs perhaps? Still liking it.Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:34
the veldt - boring song
love more than this
Last edited: 14/07/2012 07:33 I wish this could do a little better in the charts because it might be my favourite of theirs
Zoom is very cool too.
Really nice ballad from 1D, I love it.
Second in a row where the lower 50 track is better
It's funny how it's flopping in our charts currently
Go Zoom!
33 Jay-Z & Kanye West Ni**as In Paris 3 99
(#4 Daniel, #21 Trav, #29 Hijinx)
83 Howler Back Of Your Neck
Both these songs are awesome
This is more terrible that I could ever imagine. Definitely not my type of music.
32 Rudimental (feat John Newman) Feel The Love 5 103
(#14 Clint, #23 Gavin, #23 Daniel, #42 brosa, #50 Trav)
Didn't expect this to make it in but yay
This is gonna be very high in my EOY charts...
Awesome dance track, I am absolutely loving it.
only just getting into it now
I have only just started charting this. Glad to see it in.
NIP and BOYN <3333 As much as I just love Hurting, I still have issues with this.
31 Calvin Harris (feat Ne-Yo) Let's Go 4 105
(#17 Daniel, #22 Gavin, #26 Trav, #34 D Man)
81 Knife Party Internet Friends
Yet another great dance track of the year.
I actually only started liking this in the past week or so, might still get a chance to shine on my charts
I somehow like Internet Friends slightly more than this. I'm not proud
I enjoy this, but I think it will be one of those forgotten tracks later on. Eww to Internet Friends.
(#19 Trav, #21 Daniel, #27 Dave, #32 Gavin)
80 Emeli Sande My Kind Of Love
Like both these songs
Emili Sande has the better track this time, but I like So Good
Love this B.o.B track, very catchy. My Kind of Love is really good too.
(#13 brosa, #17 Trav, #29 Gavin, #38 Daniel)
Very catchy and cool track from Guy!
Really love this track! Guys best single in years
But both getting a bit boring now
I really like the use of the sample. It is actually integrated rather than just used for the sake of it. This sound suits him. Shame it wasn't a bigger hit.
Lyrically lazy but enjoyable.
28 The Temper Trap Need Your Love 3 110
(#7 D Man, #9 Trav, #27 alley)
7% of my Top 100 has so far appeared in this Top 100. Surely I can hit 10%
I like this but not quite as much as the other songs released from the album so it couldn't make my list. Reunion is very cool though.
I hate this song
Pretty good track.
(#6 Trav, #15 anton, #40 alley, #40 Hijinx, #45 Daniel, #49 brosa)
77 Grouplove Love Will Save Your Soul
So good
Love it
I prefer Fade Into Darkness, but this is still a cool song.
A big
(whatever
)
but LWSYS is good.
Last edited: 14/07/2012 08:00 dont care for this track, its not annoying or anything at least
Need Your Love
Levels
26 Nicki Minaj Starships 5 112
(#10 brosa, #13 D Man, #34 Daniel, #42 Clint, #44 alley)
76 Madonna (feat Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.) Give Me All Your Luvin'
Madonna has the better track by far
Honestly didn't expect Madonna to make an appearance in this countdown so colour me surprised.
Okay, I'm gonna say it now, worst of the year thus far!
Really loved this at first, but I'm a little tired of it now.
25 Swedish House Mafia & Knife Party Antidote 3 113
(#8 brosa, #12 Clint, #20 Trav)
75 Adam Lambert Better Than I Know Myself
This is pretty cool, not the same without the clip though
Surprised to see this so high, but it's a cool track.
it reminds me of something ive seen where theres a gif of ned flanders attached idk
24 Delta Goodrem Sitting On Top Of The World 6 118
(#17 D Man, #18 alley, #25 Billy, #31 brosa, #48 anton, #49 Trav)
This is one of my favourite songs by The Suburbs.
Love this one!
Good fun song.
Go Child!
This will be definitely higher in the EOy chart.
23 Avicii Fade Into Darkness 3 119
(#4 anton, #14 D Man, #16 Trav)
73 We The Kings Say You Like Me
Another cool song from Avicii.
Another song I'm surprised by how high it's placed. It's not bad, but I really like the instrumental.
Both good tracks!
this is pretty cool
I think I prefer Leona Lewis' stolen interpretation
22 Rihanna Where Have You Been 3 120
(#9 alley, #9 Dave, #15 Daniel)
I have only positive things to say about Faces despite not including it in my list
Now that this song is going away I'm starting to tolerate it again, the beat is the best part.
Faces >>>>> this
I actually really love this Rihanna track, one of her best in years.
21 Grouplove Tongue Tied 3 120
(#2 Trav, #6 Dave, #25 Daniel)
Probably Rihanna's best since since What's My Name?
Even though The Woods was my #1 for midyear, I'd be surprised if it manages to stay there by the end of the year. This song is fun but Grouplove have many better.
The Woods way too low
but yay for Tongue Tied
Very fun and catchy. A song that deserved to do better on the ARIA charts.
glee version > this still a cool song either way though
20 Karmin Brokenhearted 4 124
(#16 alley, #16 Gavin, #24 D Man, #24 Billy)
70 The Bloody Beetroots (feat Dennis Lyxzen) Church Of Noise
I love the points distribution for this and still enjoy it
only just started charting this song the othe rweek, its cool
Nice and fun pop track.
Grouplove
Beets
19 Lana Del Rey Video Games 5 137
(#5 irish, #14 alley, #25 Trav, #30 Chris, #44 D Man)
Too old to put in my list but it's still just exquisite
Also Simple Song is another favourite
Last edited: 14/07/2012 08:31 Glad I helped
In fact both of these are just great.
stunning song, im in the same boat as Hijinx. This is amazing
Very dark and haunting song, it's good.
Took a while to grow on me, but this is good.
18 Kelly Clarkson What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) 4 140
(#2 Billy, #11 alley, #12 D Man, #39 Chris)
68 Marina and the Diamonds Primadonna
Love this track a lot, made my EOY of 2011 though so it didn't make my mid-year. Primadonna however is even better
I think im really just getting sick of kelly clarksons voice to be honest love Primadonna
This is a good 'safe formula' hit, but I liked Mr. Know It All a lot more
17 Katy Perry Part Of Me 5 141
(#5 Dave, #15 alley, #19 bsb, #29 Billy, #46 Gavin)
67 Darren Hayes Stupid Mistake
its not terrible but ive gotten very sick of this since I gave it that #19
Part Of Me is really starting to annoy me. Over it. Much prefer Wide Awake.
Just getting a little over this song now, but I find it one of her best in a long while.
It's good, but I think I'm just tired of Katy Perry altogether.
16 Foster The People Call It What You Want 5 141
(#1 Dave, #15 Chris, #25 bsb, #28 anton, #45 Trav)
66 Choir Of Young Believers Patricia's Thirst
I just can't get into this song as much as the rest of the album, maybe I'd like it more if it had a random title
Patricia's Thirst is awesome though
Love that this is really high
Patricia's Thirst is better, but both are great!
excellent song, im glad its up so high
My favourite of theirs. Replayed this many times
15 Lana Del Rey Blue Jeans 4 146
(#5 Chris, #11 Hijinx, #18 D Man, #24 Clint)
Because 16 & 17 had equal points, am I right in assuming that FTP are given the higher placing due to them having the highest individual placing?
omg this high! wow! Both are good here too.
Quite a nice song.
well I approve of that order D Man
The ruling is that whichever song has the most listings goes highest, and if that doesn't settle it, it's alphabetical.
I love this song so much
Ah, I see. I have since noticed that there are other equal placings. Thanks for that clarification, Hijinx. Blue Jeans is enjoyable.
14 The Black Keys Lonely Boy 4 147
(#1 Trav, #16 irish, #20 Hijinx, #20 Chris)
64 Evanescence What You Want
Still love it
Very cool! Glad that it was a big hit.
13 James Morrison I Won't Let You Go 4 153
(#4 Trav, #6 D Man, #12 Daniel, #29 anton)
63 360 (feat Gossling) Boys Like You
I still love this.
Disliked this at first but it's grown on me heaps now
Good placing for 360
Fantastic ballad!
enjoy this track quite a lot
good spot for 360
12 Olly Murs Dance With Me Tonight 5 153
(#10 bsb, #10 Daniel, #20 anton, #30 Trav, #32 alley)
Euphoria
so glad to see this really high up
Glad to see this so high
11 David Guetta (feat Nicki Minaj) Turn Me On 4 157
(#2 Dave, #5 bsb, #19 Daniel, #21 D Man)
61 Jason Derulo Fight For You
Last edited: 14/07/2012 08:58 Surprised to see this so high up, but then there was a time when I kinda liked it.
I feel like I should hate this, but I really dont
Meh, not a fan anymore of this.
Great dance track, one of my favourites from both Guetta and Minaj
still liking this
10 Lana Del Rey Born To Die 6 168
(#3 alley, #9 Chris, #11 bsb, #28 Hijinx, #42 irish, #45 D Man)
60 Ladyhawke Black White & Blue
I still enjoy it, but I don't think the rap is long enough to really be relevant. If you do it, do it properly or not all. Surprised to see Born To Die this high. Three songs out of the last ten is pretty good, especially with them all being in the top 20.Last edited: 14/07/2012 09:02
Not her best but still very good.
It snuck into my top 50, but it's burned a bit for me now. Great to see it in the top 10 though.
amazing haunting track
Yet another nice track from Lana.
(#1 Chris, #10 D Man, #13 alley, #26 Dave, #36 Billy)
59 Kimbra (feat Mark Foster & A-Trak) Warrior
I did like this for a bit, but it sorta annoys me now. Warrior is great though!Last edited: 14/07/2012 09:08
Both of these are good. 50 Ways is overtaking Drive By for me.
I'm the same Daniel, I doubt it will survive to the top 50 of my EOY, should manage to survive the Top100 though.
Love both tracks here
Warrior is a very cool track.
I saw the up-tempo style of this as a positive and a bit different to some other songs on the charts. And they've done it again with 50 Ways...
(#9 Daniel, #12 alley, #24 bsb, #24 Hijinx, #29 D Man, #35 Trav)
58 Westlife Beautiful World
This song has provided me much enjoyment over the last 8 months with it's quality and chart run
Just an awesome track
7 Florence + The Machine Never Let Me Go 6 187
(#1 D Man, #6 alley, #17 brosa, #27 Hijinx, #33 Billy, #35 Chris)
57 Rihanna (feat Calvin Harris) We Found Love
Best surprise hit of the year
Still really nice.
It's OK. I'm not overly crazy on this, but the vocals are great.
6 Drake (feat Rihanna) Take Care 6 196
(#7 Daniel, #10 alley, #11 Dave, #15 Trav, #17 bsb, #50 D Man)
56 Adrian Lux (feat The Good Natured) Alive
Really surprised myself at how much I ended up liking both of these songs.
This is surprising...
Yay! This is fantastic and probably my favourite Drake song
Last edited: 14/07/2012 09:19 I love this one so much
Great track. It was always going to be a grower, coz it didn't grab me straight away.
5 Ed Sheeran Lego House 6 204
(#9 D Man, #13 irish, #14 Trav, #17 Billy, #23 alley, #26 Chris
55 Coldplay (feat Rihanna) Princess Of China
this song never really grabbed me like it did everyone else, its still good though
Love it, brilliant.
4 Emeli Sande Next To Me 9 234
(#5 D Man, #7 alley, #8 Chris, #15 Clint, #18 brosa, #31 Gavin, #44 Trav, #48 Billy, #49 Daniel)
It makes sense, but I was really surprised to see this all the way up here.
Midnight City is gold too
This is actually a great track, but not my favourite from Emeli.
I only just discovered this song, its nice though; I might help it out come e.o.y
we'll see
3 One Direction One Thing 7 290
(#1 anton, #2 bsb, #4 Billy, #5 Daniel, #8 Gavin, #21 alley, #26 D Man)
53 Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl (feat Georgi Kay) In My Mind
Lana
Train
Matt Corby
Florence
Drake
Ed
Emeli
Shame M83 missed out
You can replace my ranking bsb with Emeli as she definitely fail to crack the Top 50 eoy chart for me. Just due to points, not cause of qulaity.
Wand Erection
Shame to see In My Mind miss out.
I thought this was going to be number one... so it is Carly Rae vs Fun??
Really great and fun track, I love it! Great to see it top 3 as well.
2 Fun. (feat Janelle Monae) We Are Young 8 290
(#3 Trav, #4 D Man, #7 Chris, #8 Daniel, #14 Dave, #18 Hijinx, #18 Clint, #46 brosa)
52 Arctic Monkeys R U Mine?
Was rooting for this but it was not to be! Still two very cool songs.
this song really isnt as good as everyone says it is lol, I mean its nice but its horribly overrated
Go Fun.! This is still great.
It's good enough, and still prefer this to Some Nights
I still prefer Glee's version of this song.
1 Carly Rae Jepsen Call Me Maybe 9 309
(#3 D Man, #4 alley, #5 Clint, #9 Billy, #18 bsb, #18 anton, #21 Dave, #34 Trav, #38 Gavin)
51 Ricki-Lee Do It Like That
Not my most favourite song tbh, but I like it enough. Good to see it at #1 I suppose.
Thanks for tuning in everyone
I was so thrilled with how the whole thing came together, that I figuratively did put it all together from 100-1, assuming you're not over all of these songs, enjoy!

Yep, thanks to all who posted and listened
Great job everyone, especially Hijinx & Dan
Can't wait for the EOY charts now...

There is a notable increase in House tracks, and I'm very happy to be involved with putting The Veldt and X2 Avicii in! The Mid-Year I submitted wasn't an accurate deescription of my favourite songs of the year so far (it was my playcounts chart) so I regret not doing a proper one but I didn't realise how close it was going to be.
Also disappointed not to see my random one-offs in the top 100
