and thier it is....voted by the guitarists' themselves....
@ K8, I think the only reason why Slash isn't higher is because he play's like he's idol (Joe Perry : Aerosmith) but only a tad better....Slash didn't create anything new on the guitar like the others above him....he's just a f*#kin' brillant guitarist....
Eh what a crock of shit that list, i'm with K8 Richie Sambora has never recieved any credit for his guitar work and song writing credibilities. No wonder i don't read Rolling Stone anymore
Lol....Beanster....not happy the guitarist from one of your fav bands didn't make the grade....i would feel the same under the same circumstances...luckily (and happy) for me two guitarists from my fav band made the cut....
I used to live for Rolling Stone through the 90's and early 00's and thankfully it allowed me to find a lot of music that wasn't popular. I still buy their Best Of All Time (songs) issues but everything else is shithouse now with too much advertising. Also noticed no one from Pearl Jam made the cut, not happy jan
Lol...again Beanster...yeah i'd have Stone Gossard & Mike McCreedy in thier purely for thier incredible guitar interplay....reminds me of Kieth Richards & Mick Taylor (Stones) and/or Tom Verlaine & Richard Llyod[who didn't make it, don't know how Tom made the cut without the other half...] (Television) interplay...brillant Last edited:
The No#1 is truly deserving...Hendrix...is the greatest guitarist ever...a left hander who played a right handed guitar upside down...and the licks this guy produced....incredible...mental....brillant...sublime
