GUESS WHO'S BACK WITH A BRAND NEW CHART....
Yeah, I’m back to continue my charts after a one year hiatus during 2012. I have made a few changes this time around – I will be doing my Top 25 singles of the week, rather than the Top 20 I did in previous charts. The albums chart will still remain the same, but for my videos chart, instead of having a set countdown, I will post my favourite clips of the week, varing from 3 all the way up to 5. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
Other Info: TW = This Week........LW = Last Week........TI = Times In (Weeks)........HP = Highest Position (Peak) _______________________________________________________________________________________________
Nice to see your chart back, some great songs in there. The only ones I don't like are Drinking From The Bottle and Million Voices. My faves are Give Me Love, Little Talks, Ho Hey, It's Time, Beneath Your Beautiful, Don't You Worry Child, This Fire and Panic Station.
Great to see the chart back and a lot of cool songs! Especially great to see Tame Impala at #1! Also Muse, Flume, Of Monsters and Men & Flight Facilities represented well.
Tame Impala are at #1 for a second week. Muse rise to a new peak at #3 with 'Panic Station'. They are a hot contender for the next #1. 'Figure 8' rises 3 place to reach the Top 5 for a second time, after 'Anything Could Happen' (HP-1) reached last year. Rises also for Icona Pop, Flume ft. T.Shirt, The Lumineers and Bruno Mars. Porter Robinson enters the chart again, as 'Language' peaked at #8 in 2012 (Sept). American Idol winner Phillip Phillips enters at #15 with 'Home'. Flight Facilities are up 7 place to #17 with 'Clair De Lune', which becomes their highest charting track so far. Perth band San Cisco enter with their third chart entry with 'Beach'; the other two being Awkward (HP-5) and Wild Things (HP-1). Macklemore & Ryan Lewis enter ar #24 with 'Same Love'.
Great to see It's Time, I Love It, Ho Hey, Beneath Your Beautiful, Home, Don't You Worry Child, What You've Done To Me, Give Me Love, DNA, Little Talks, Get Along & Same Love in your chart.
I can now say I have charted the top three! Holdin On would be a great #1 if it can get there, but my guess is that Panic Station would get there and heck, I'd probably prefer that But still hooray for Tamey. Cool entries too; particularly Samey and Beachy. Nice rise for Ho Hey too.
Hmm, I don't know any of your top five, but nice to see Icona Pop, The Lumineers and Bruno in the top ten. Shame to see Labrinth, Samantha, Ed, Little Mix and Of Monsters of Men down, but solid debuts for Phillip Phillips, Maclemore and Rudimental. A bit of a mixed bag, but a good chart
Yep, there's no change at the top spot this week, with Tame Impala extending its run to 3 week at the top spot. 'Panic Station' is one stop (hehe) closer to the top, but will they have enough steam (hehe) to overtake Tame Impala? Icona Pop reaches a new peak with 'I Love It', after reaching #6 in December. 'Language' makes an impressive jump into the Top 5, whilst 'When I Was Your Man' obtains a new peak. Flight Faciltites are closer to the Top 10 with 'Clair De Lune'. Disclosure enter the charts this week at #13 with 'Latch'. 'Thrift Shop' re-enters into the charts, because I randomly like it again , and San Cisco are up three places with 'Beach'. No stranger to the Top 25 is David Guetta, who enters with 'One Last Time', featuring Taped Rai. Train are back with 'This'll Be My Year'; the third single to chart in the Top 25 from California 37 (Drive By (HP-9), 50 Ways To Say Goodbye (HP-8)). The Birds Of Tokyo re-enter with 'This Fire', whilst their new track 'Laterns' looks set to debut next week hopefully. Thanks in advance for your comments by the way. That is all
Nice to see Train and Guetta debut and the returns for Thrifty and Birds of Tokyo. Great top two but I'm supporting Muse of the two. Good jumps for Loony and San Cisco too.
Keep going Icona Pop!!!! Haha nice to see Bruno, Flight Facilities and Rudimental moving up and cool to see Thrift Shop re-enter! Woo! I don't mind the Train track either.
Cool #1 album, initially I thought I would definitely not be buying it especially after Locked Out Of Heaven but Young Girls and When I Was Your Man are brilliant so a complete my album on iTunes might just persuade me
Great to see Tame Impala killing it. I suppose I'm rooting for Muse but I don't really mind. Cool rises for Porter Robinson, Flight Facilities & San Cisco. Latch is a cool song too.
I’m adding accreditations to my personal charts from now on, to make things more interesting. These accreditations are following on from last year.
Well well well, what have we here? A NEW #1!!! Yes, Muse went in as favourite to knock Tame Impala from the top spot, but sneaky Porter Robinson becomes the second #1 this year, with his dance track 'Language'. Language charted last year in September, and narrowly missed my EOY Top 100. Unlucky Muse stays at #2 awaiting a #1 takeover . Ellie Goulding is back in the Top 5 at #4 with 'Figure 8', whilst Bruno Mars gets his 7th solo Top 5 placing (10th inc featured artist) with 'When I Was Your Man', and 3rd consecutive Top 5 hit from 'Unorthodox Jukebox' ('Locked Out Of Heaven' (HP-5) and 'Young Girls' (HP-3)). Flume is back to back with 'Holdin' On' and 'On Top' respectively. Flight Facilities jump into the Top 10 at #8 with 'Clair De Lune', whilst Disclosure's 'Latch' is one step closer to the Top 10 in at #11. Both 'Thrift Shop' and 'Drinking From The Bottle' rise two places. New to the Top 25 is Birds Of Tokyo, with 'Laterns'. This becomes the band's 5th Top 25 entry, the last being 'This Fire' (HP-7 in 2012). Swedish producer Avicii enters, featuring Nicky Romero with 'I Could Be The One'. This is the 4th entry for Avicii within the space of 13 months ('Levels' (HP-1), 'Fade Into Darkness' (HP-3), 'Silhouettes' (HP-1)). Rudimental are back into the Top 20.
Next week, expect a massive shake up in my charts, courtesy of Triple J's Hottest 100. Thanks in advance for your comments
Shame Tame Impala lost the top spot, I do prefer that song to Language , Nice rises though for Flume, Birds Of Tokyo & Phillip Phillips, Good debuts for BOT & Avicii.
Yay for Porter Robinson. Until a few weeks ago I thought he was a girl Also good for Ellie Goulding, Flight Facilities, Disclosure & Birds of Tokyo rising. Great debut for Lanterns.
Is it bad that I've still not watched the whole CDL video?
Sorry for the delay - I have been out. Looks like Muse are finally #1. 'Panic Station' becomes the third #1 track from 'The 2nd Law' (Survival (HP-1, JUL), Follow Me (HP-1, DEC)), and the 4th entry overall (Madness (HP-3)). Muse have also had numerous amount of #1's (inc. 'Assassin', 'Knights Of Cydonia', and 'Undisclosed Desires'). After one week at #1, Porter Robinson's 'Language' drops to #2, whilst Flume rises to be back in the top 3 with 'Holdin' On', and 'On Top' rises to achieve a new peak of #4. Expect Sleepless to chart soon, and I didn't give it a proper chart run in 2012, and it has grown on me alot. Perth band Birds Of Tokyo rise nine places to be in the top 5 with their track 'Lanterns'. This becomes the band's third top 5 hit, and 4th top 10. 'Clair De Lune' rises one place to #7, whilst 'Thrift Shop' is back in the top 10 in at #9. Major Lazer enter in at #13 with 'Get Free', featuring Amber Coffman. The Rubens also enter with their 2nd top 20 hit 'The Best We Got' which comes in at #18 ('My Gun (HP-7)). Robert Delong is new at #20 with 'Global Concepts', and Feed Me (featuring Crystal Fighters) is in at #22. P!nk is back in at #24 with 'Just Give Me A Reason' (featuring Nate Ruess). This is P!nk's third entry from 'The Truth About Love (Blow Me (One Last Kiss) (HP-22), Try (HP-14)). This is also the third entry for Nate Ruess as part of Fun. (We Are Young (HP-1), Some Nights (HP-1), Carry On (HP-11)). Over on the Albums Chart, Flume is at #1 with his self titled album. New/old entries from Ministry Of Sound, San Cisco, and A$AP Rocky.
**As mentioned last week, these accreditations are carried foward from last year.***

Lanterns! Great to also see Tame Impala, Clair de Lune, Thrift Shop and This Fire. Is it just me, or did you find I Could Be The One disappointing too? Great to see P!nk.
@antonnalan - Yes, it was a bit of a dissapointment. It's a good dance track, but compared with other Avicii tracks, it's not that spectacular.
WEEK 6
No change at the top spot, with 'Panic Station' spending two weeks now at #1. Language stays at #2, but, along with Panic Station, picks up another platinum accreditation. Flume is up with 'On Top' at #3 - will it end up on top eventually? (). Lanterns is up one, whilst Thrift Shop is up two to #7. Thrift Shop peaked at #5 in November, so can Macklemore & Ryan Lewis beat their peak? Get Free break into the top ten in at #8, whilst after spending two weeks missing out on the top ten, Disclosure's 'Latch' finally locks on to the top ten in at #10. 'Beach' makes a surprising and impressive rise to #11, whilst The Lumineers are up two. Robert Delong's 'Global Concepts' rises six places to land a new peak of #14, Feed Me is up seven to #15, and Pink's latest track, featuring Nate Ruess is up seven places to land at #17. Frank Ocean makes his 5th Top 25 entry with 'Super Rich Kids' featuring Earl Sweatshirt in at #19. The other tracks from 'Channel Orange' that have charted includes 'Pyramids' (HP-3), 'Lost' (HP-7), 'Sweet Life' (HP-19), and Thinkin Bout You (HP-10). Having peaked at #13 in December, Bombs Away are back with 'Party Bass'. I dunno why, but I still like it . Flume's first (lead) single 'Sleepless' featuring Jezzabell Doran happens to be the third to reach my chart from his self titled album 'Flume'. Having peaked at #15 in late November (Holdin' On and On Top still entered before Sleepless), Flume is back for more, and maybe with a better chart run? Finally rounding out the Top 25 is A$AP Rocky with 'F**kin' Problems' featuring Drake, 2Chainz, and Kendrick Lamar. As you can see, A$AP Rocky enter into the albums chart last week, whilst the last Drake tracks to enter were 'The Motto' (HP-5), and 'Take Care' featuring Rihanna (HP-3); 2 Chainz last entered with 'Mercy' (HP-20). Kendrick Lamar is really close to hitting the top 25 with 'Swimming Pools (Drank)', although his album is still doing well. Thanks in advance for your comments.
Muse still killing it! Nice to see Flume, Birds of Tokyo, Major Lazer, Disclosure & San Cisco up. Also cool to see Super Rich Kids & F**kin' Problems in. I can even say that I like the other two debuts more than I thought I ever would
Nice to see Muse still on top and Lanterns moving up. Good jumps also for Thrifty, Get Free, Ho Hey and Pink/Nate. Bring on Impossible, Laura and Mountain Sound.
Muse is now three weeks at #1 with 'Panic Station'. This now becomes tied with 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards' (TW-10) for the longest #1 of the year so far. A new peak for Birds Of Tokyo and 'Lanterns' at #3. This now becomes their equal highest charting track on my charts, as both 'Plans' and 'Wild At Heart' both peaked at #3. 'Thrift Shop' is back in the Top 5 after a couple of weeks. Major Lazer rises to a new peak of #6 with 'Get Free', and Flume makes an impressive jump up sixteen places with 'Sleepless'. San Cisco's 'Beach' finally enters the top ten in at #9 and 'Love Is All I Got' rises up to be one spot away from the top ten. Our highest debut this week comes from The Lonely Island featuring Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar with 'YOLO'. This becomes The Lonely Island's seventh Top 25 chart entry, with 4 being former #1s ('Jizz In My Pants', 'I'm On A Boat', 'I Just Had Sex', and 'Jack Sparrow'); and the others being 'Like A Boss' and 'The Creep'. Adam Levine has also charted solo, but again as a featured artist ('Heard 'Em Say' and 'Stereo Hearts' - 'My Life' is yet to chart). There's another debut for Kendrick Lamar too, with his first solo chart entry 'Swimming Pools (Drank)' in at #13. Frank Ocean is up three with 'Super Rich Kids' featuring Earl Sweatshirt. Expect Frank Ocean to rise next week thanks to his possible Grammy success (both album and single(s)). Two Door Cinema Club finally enters the charts with 'Sun' at #20. Although there have been drops for The Lumineers, Disclosure, Ellie Goulding, Pink and Imagine Dragons, expect a few of them to possibly rise next week. And finally A$AP Rocky reaches a new peak of #24 with 'F**kin' Problems', featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and Kenrick Lamar. Over on the Albums Chart, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis become the forth #1 with 'The Heist'. Also, new entries for Everything Everything's 'Arc' and Modestep's 'Evolution Theory'. Over on the videos chart, the reason why I have written 'WIIW Style' is beacuse I saw these two clips on Rage on Friday Night, and the videos are quite similar to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT75jUEUoO0. Looks like a new style of filming. Anyway, that is all. Harmless self-promotion - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m-ZXzRiimU

MY SONGS KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN THE DARK (LIGHT EM UP)
Come on, Lanterns! Good to see Macklemore, The Lonely Island, The Lumineers, Pink / Nate, Icona Pop and Bruno in you chart. I hope Youngblood Hawke can debut soon
Nice to see Macklemore & Ryan Lewis jump in the albums chart .Loving your top 10 with Birds Of Tokyo ,Muse ,Flume ,San Cisco and Tame Impala.A shame also to see Muse dropout with "Follow Me" .
Ooh I saw the video before actually, and did I catch a hint of recording straight from YouTube?
Great to see Muse holding up for #1. It's a shame that since you've rebooted this chart, Tame Impala can do nothing but go backwards Good to see Kendrick Lamar debut though.
Muse is on top for its 4th week now - looks like there's no stopping . This now becomes Muse's tenth accumulative week at #1 between three singles from 'The 2nd Law'. Kendrick Lamar dives up the charts to #2 with 'Swimming Pools (Drank)'. Following him is himself with The Lonely Island featuring Adam Levine with 'YOLO', at #3. This now become The Lonely Island's 6th Top Ten (and Top Three) hit. Also making a big jump upwards is Frank Ocean, with 'Super Rich Kids', featuring Earl Sweatshirt. This now becomes Frank's fourth Top Ten track, and his second highest charting track too (Pyramids HP-3). Two Door Cinema Club also up, with 'Sun' rising twelve places to #8. Our 999th #1 Single 'Just Give Me A Reason' rises six places to #15, whilst A$AP Rocky and his gang rise eight places to reach a new peak at #16 with 'F**kin' Problems'. It's Time also makes a slight rebound; up three places to be back within the Top Twenty. New entry from UK X-Factor Winner James Arthur, with his single 'Impossible'. The last X-Factor winner/s to chart were Samantha Jade's 'What You've Done To Me' (HP-3), and Little Mix's 'DNA' (HP-17). Fall Out Boy are back with their new track 'My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)'. This is the first time in nearly four years they are entering; the last time was with 'America's Suitehearts'. And finally Hermitude's track 'HyperParadise' is at #25, with the 'Flume Remix'. This is Hermitude's second chart entry, the other being 'Speak Of The Devil' (HP-11). This is also the fourth enrty for Flume. Over on the Albums chart, the Top Three remain unchanges, whilst a few Grammy Winners are up.

MY SONGS KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN THE DARK (LIGHT EM UP)
I don't like the rest of the top five, so gooooo Muse! Good jumps for TDCC and Pink/Nate and great to see Fall Out Boy and especially James Arthur debuting. Please don't debut Harlem Shake.
Muse have now reach five week at #1 with 'Panic Station'. The last track to reach five weeks was actually 'Follow Me', and before that 'Feel The Love'. Muse also picks up another platinum in the process. No move for 'Swimming Pools (Drank)' and 'YOLO', whilst Two Door Cinema club are up four places to #4 with 'Sun'. P!nk reaches the top ten with 'Just Give Me A Reason (featuring Nate Ruess) rising to #8. The last P!nk track to reach the top ten would've been 'I Don't Believe You' back in 2009. This also becomes Nate Ruess' third top ten hit, the other two being with Fun. James Arthur rises seven places with his hit 'Impossible' now reaching the top ten at #10. 'F**kin' Problems' is up one place to reach another new peak, now at #15, whilst Imagine Dragons are also up one place with 'It's Time'. Avicii vs. Nicky Romero makes their way back into the charts at #17 with 'I Could Be The One', also achieving a new peak in the process. Fun. are back with their newly released single from 'Some Nights' - 'Why Am I The One'. This now becomes the fourth track from Fun. to reach the Top 25, and fifth overall for Nate Ruess (We Are Young (HP-1), Some Nights (HP-1), Carry On (HP-11), and Just Give Me A Reason (HP-8). Expect this track to rise in the coming weeks, and who knows, could it be out next #1? Fall Out Boy are up three places with their track 'My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)'. Rihanna finally enters the chart with her long awaited hit 'Stay' featuring Mikky Ekko at #21 after lingering around the top forty for the past few weeks. Our other debut this week comes from Youngblood Hawke with their hit 'We Come Running' in at #24. This becomes band's first ever hit on my charts. Over on the Album Charts, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hold on to the #1 spot for a third weeks in a row with 'The Heist'. New entries from Triple J's Hottest 100, C2C, and Foals. Thanks in advance for your comments

MY SONGS KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN THE DARK (LIGHT EM UP)
Nice to see Muse still on top and TDCC jumping well. Fantastic moves into the top ten for Pink/Nate and James Arthur and a good move for Fall Out Boy too. Great to see Youngblood Hawke and Fun debuting.
Great to see the top two hold up strong. Go A$AP lol, and good to see Youngblood Hawke debut. I haven't heard the Hottest 100 compilation but I assume it's pretty good The Foals album I do like though!
Well there you have it folks, a new #1. Yes, Kendrick Lamar jumps to the top spot with his first ever #1 track with 'Swimming Pools (Drank)'. A massive (and surprising) jump for Avicii vs. Nicky Romero with their track 'I Could Be The One' up fourteen places to #3. Also another huge jump comes from Fun. with their track 'Why Am I The One' - now their third Top 5 hit. Will one () of these tracks ironically be the next #1? A new entry for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with 'Can't Hold Us', featuring Ray Dalton in at #9. This become their third Top 25 hit with 'Thrift Shop' (HP-5) and 'Same Love' (HP-24) being the others, and second Top 10 hit overall. Youngblood Hawke also makes a big jump up twelve place to #12 with their hit 'We Come Running'. Of Monsters & Men enter this week with their second track 'Mountain Sound' at #14. Their other hit 'Little Talks' peaked at #5 last year. Natasha Khan, a.k.a Bat For Lashes makes her (long awaited) debut with 'Laura' coming in at #15. Sydney producer Flume enters at #18 with his fourth single 'Left Alone'; the others being 'Sleepless' (HP-8), 'Holdin' On' (HP-1) and 'On Top' (HP-3). And finally, our last entry this week comes from Ed Sheeran, with his track 'Small Bump'. This becomes Ed's 6th track from '+' to enter the Top 25, with the others being 'The A Team' (HP-4), 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You (HP-3), 'Lego House' (HP-1), 'Drunk' (HP-2), and 'Give Me Love' (HP-1). Over on the albums chart, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hold on to the top spot for a fourth week in a row. New entries from Birds Of Tokyo and Imagine Dragons, whilst Ed Sheeran's 2011/2 album '+' makes a re-entry. Thanks in advance for your comments.

MY SONGS KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN THE DARK (LIGHT EM UP)
Can't Hold Us is a good debut, Laura is a great one, Mountain Sound is a fantastic one and Small Bump is an amazing one! Great choices. Great jumps for Fun and Youngblood Hawke too.
Kendrick Lamar remains at #1 with 'Swimming Pools (Drank)' for a second week, and acheives platinum status as well. Fun. are up one place to #3 with 'Why Am I The One', whilst Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are up five places to #4 with their now highest charting track 'Can't Hold Us', featuring Ray Dalton. Youngblood Hawke half their position again with 'We Come Running' in at #6, becoming the band's first top 10. Our highest entry this week comes from Calvin Harris featuring Ellie Goulding with 'Need Your Love'. This instantly becomes the seventh track from '18 Months' to chart and to also hit the Top 10 - 'Bounce' (HP-3), 'Feel So Close' (HP-1), 'Let's Go' (HP-4), 'We'll Be Coming Back' (HP-2), 'Sweet Nothing' (HP-7), and 'Drinking From The Bottle' (HP-6), and tenth overall for Calvin Harris - 'Dance Wiv Me' (HP-1), 'I'm Not Alone' (HP-5), and 'Flaskback' (HP-3). 'Need Your Love' becomes Ellie Goulding's third Top 10 overall - 'Anything Could Happen' (HP-1), and 'Figure 8' (HP-4). Our second entry comes from the #100 song on Triple J's Hottest 100 2012 - Everything Everything's 'Cough Cough', in at #14. The band has already charted on my Albums chart with 'Arc', and also make a re-entry this week. Of Monsters & Men are closer to the Top 10 with 'Mountain Sound' up two places to #12, whilst Flume is up also two places to #16 with 'Left Alone' featuring Chet Faker. Ed Sheeran is now in the Top 20 with 'Small Bump' up three places to #19. Robert DeLong's unlikely hit 'Global Concepts' makes a return to the charts at #18, having peaked at #14 a few weeks ago. Our final entry this week comes from Olly Murs, with his track 'Army Of Two' - his other charting hits include 'Heart Skips A Beat' (HP-2), 'Dance With Me Tonight' (HP-3), 'Oh My Goodness' (HP-11), and 'Troublemaker' (HP-6). Over on our albums chart, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' 'The Heist' stays at #1 for a fifth week now. 'March Fires' and 'Nights Visions' are both up with new peaks, whilst Flux Pavillion enters with 'Blow The Roof EP'. '18 Months' and 'Arc' both make re-entries into the chart. That is all. Thanks for your comments. Enjoy.

HELLO
Stafford Brothers ft. Christina Milian & Lil’ Wayne
New #1 next week please; Fun or Youngblood Hawke would be nice choices. Or Macklemore. Good jumps for OM&M and Ed Sheeran also. Nice entry for Everything Everything; hope to see Pompeii debut strong next week.
Good to see Macklemore in the top five, as well as Youngblood Hawke and Calvin / Ellie in the top ten. Pleasoing rises also for Of Monsters And Men and Ed Sheeran.
Cool to see Kendo still holding #1, and Muse are making good longevity with that triple platinum Also cool to see Youngblood Hawke, Of Monsters and Men (despite the lack of a new peak ) & Ed Sheeran rising. Cool debuts this week too, I hope Haim can enter soon.
We have a new #1! Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding hit #1 with their track ‘Need Your Love’ in it’s second week after debuting last week. Both Calvin and Ellie score their second #1 with ‘Need Your Love’; (‘Feel So Close’ (Oct ’11) and ‘Anything Could Happen’ (Oct ’12) respectively). This becomes the fifth #1 this year in 12 weeks, and becomes the first duo to hit #1 since Swedish House Mafia & John Martin’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ back in September last year. Coming oh so close is Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ track ‘Can’t Hold Us’ in at #2 (like in the ARIA Singles Charts lol ) – could this be our next #1?. Dropping from the top spot is ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’ down to #3, whilst Everything Everything’s ‘Cough Cough’ leaps ten places to be placed at #4. Flume now has a fourth Top 10 hit, with ‘Left Alone’ featuring Chet Faker up ten places to be at #6. ‘Global Concepts’ is up nine to #9, whilst Of Monsters & Men’s ‘Mountain Sound’ is one step closer to the Top 10 at #11. Our highest entry this week is from Tame Impala, with their track ‘Mind Mischief’ at #13. This becomes the Perth Band’s fourth entry from ‘Lonerism’, and sixth overall - ‘Solitude Is Bliss’ (HP-3), ‘Lucidity’ (HP-24), ‘Apocolypse Dreams’ (HP-20), ‘Elephant’ (HP-13), and ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’ (HP-1). Example, and his track ‘Perfect Replacement’ is our second debut this week. This becomes Example’s seventh solo chart entry and eleventh overall, with ‘Kickstarts’ (HP-8), ‘Won’t Go Quietly’ (HP-9), ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ (HP-3), ‘Stay Awake’ (HP-3), ‘Midnight Run’ (HP-5), ‘Say Nothing’ (HP-9), ‘Natural Disaster’ w/ Laidback Luke (HP-22), ‘Shot Yourself In The Foot Again’ w/ Skream (HP-9), ‘Daydreamer’ w/ Flux Pavillion (HP-1), and ‘We’ll Be Coming Back’ w/ Calvin Harris (HP-2) all charting. This is the second track to chart from ‘The Evolution Of Man’, with ‘Say Nothing’ (HP-9) being the other track. Ed Sheeran’s ‘Small Bump’ makes a small rise to #18, whilst Olly Murs’ ‘Army Of Two’ is up two places to #20. Our third entry this week is from Disclosure, with ‘White Noise’ featuring AunaGeorge in at #21. This becomes Disclosure’s second entry, with ‘Latch’, featuring Sam Smith (HP-11) charting earlier this year. And finally, our last entry this week comes from Flux Pavilion, with his track ‘Do Or Die’ featuring Childish Gambino. This is Flux Pavilion’s second entry; the other being ‘Daydreamer’ (HP-1), featuring Example. Over on the Albums Chart, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lose the top spot to the Sound City Soundtrack ‘. Flume re-enters at #3 after listening to it in full again last week, whilst Flux Pavilion is up one spot. Since it is Week 12, I thought I might post someting 12 related, so here is my EOY Charts 2012 in video format: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-gAIGl_CbY. That is all. Thanks for your comments. Enjoy

Great jumps for Macklewton and Everything Everything and nice to see Ed Sheeran and OM&M creeping up. Example is my favourite debut, but I also like Tame Impala.
Ooh, nice rise to #1, I'm liking that song quite a bit at the moment. I'm also liking Can't Hold Us more so go that. Nice jump for Everything Everything. Excellent debut for Tame Impala and the other ones are all good too.
Wow very unexpected #1 but good to see. Nice rise for Can't Hold Us, I hope that can score at least a week at #1!! Nice rise for Mountain Sound and Army Of Two and cool to see Perfect Replacement and White Noise debut. Ouch for Pink's drop.
Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding remain for another week at #1 with ‘I Need Your Love’, and still holding on to the second spot is possible contender for the next #1 ‘Can’t Hold Us’ from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Ray Dalton. Flume now has a third top 3 hit with ‘Left Alone’,featuring Chet Faker jumping to #3. A big rise for Tame Impala with ‘Mind Mischief’ rising eight places to #5, whilst Robert Delong’s ‘Global Concepts’ is up two to #7. Of Monsters And Men has a second Top 10 hit with ‘Mountain Sound’ rising to #8, and our biggest jump this week is from Flux Pavilion with his track ‘Do Or Die’ featuring Childish Gambino up fourteen places to #9. Example us up with a new peak with ‘Perfect Replacement’ at #11, whilst Ed Sheeran rises up four to #14, and Disclosure are up to #17 with ‘White Noise’ featuring AlunaGeorge, Our highest debut this week comes from Major Lazer & Flux Pavillion with ‘Jah No Partial’. This track was meant to enter a few weeks ago, but I kept putting it off. Anyway, this becomes the second entry for both artists this year, with ‘Get Free’ (HP-6) and ‘Do Or Die’ (HP-9) respectively. Our second debut this week is ‘Hello’ by the Stafford Brothers featuring Christina Milian & Lil’ Wayne in at #19. And out final deubt this week comes from the band Bastille with their track ‘Pompeii’ at #21. Over on our albums chart, there are new debuts from Flume & Notorius B.I.G (a remix album, see below), Lorde, Northlane, and The Strokes.

Dammit, Hello spoils the sort of liking everything in the chart thing I had going! Great jumps for Tame Impala, Of Monsters and Men & Flux Pavilion though. Weird that you debut Major Lazer when the new song just came out, but Jah No Partial is better anyway
Go Macklemore! Great rises for Small Bump and Mountain Sound! Excellent debut for Pompeii too, don't like how Birds of Tokyo looks like it'll only last 10 weeks. Go Passenger!
Excellent top 2. Global Concepts, Mountain Sound, Do Or Die, I Could Be The One, Small Bump, We Come Running, Pompeii, Army Of Two, Lanterns & Language are good too. Good to see FOB in the videos of the week as well
It's the first chart of the new quarter! Looks like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis could not hold themselves, and have shot up to #1. 'Can't Hold Us' becomes the sixth #1 this year, and the first single to reach #1 from their #1 album 'The Heist' (TW-5). In at #3 is 'Perfect Replacement' from Example (up eight places), becomes his 3rd solo Top 3 hit, and fifth overall. Also rising is Tame Impala to a new peak of #4 with 'Mind Mischief'. Flux Pavilion's 'Do Or Die', featuring Childish Gambino is up four to #5, and our biggest jumper this week, up twelve places is from Bastille, with their track 'Pompeii' hitting the #9 spot, becoming their first Top 10 hit. The highest entry this week comes from New Zealander Lorde, with her track 'Royals' at #11, the first single to chart from 'The Love Club EP' (TW-2). It also becomes our third highest entry of the year so far. Ed Sheeran's slow rise up the chart continues with 'Small Bump' up one to #13, whilst Disclosure's 'White Noise', featuring AlunaGeorge is also up one, to #16. Olly Murs is marching his way up the charts () up to #17 with 'Army Of Two, and 'Hello' is up one to #18. Our second entry this week is from Rudimental, with their new track 'Waiting All Night', featuring Ella Eyre, in at #19. It becomes Rudimental's fourth entry overall - 'Feel The Love (HP-1, EOY-1), 'Not Givng In' (HP-2), 'Hell Could Freeze' (HP-33). New to the charts is Perth band Pond, with their track 'Giant Tortoise' in at #23. Back in the charts after 2+ years is Bliss N Eso, with 'House Of Dreams'. Their other tracks include 'The Sea Is Rising' (HP-12), 'Down By The River'(HP-20), and 'Addicted' (HP-23). Over on the Albums Chart, The Sound City soundtrack remains at #1 for a third consecutive week, whilst mentioned earlier, Lorde is up to #2 with 'The Love Club EP'. New entries from the 'Electro House Sessions 6' compilation from Ministry Of Sound, and 'Sempiternal' from Bring Me The Horizion. Thanks in advance for your comments.

YOLO
The Lonely Island ft. Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar
Would prefer Calvin/Ellie at top but Macklemore/Ryan Lewis is still good. I hope The Phoenix will chart for you soon, good to see it in the video of the week section. Overall good chart
Ooh yay for Can't Hold Us. Example is threatening the return of my bad jokes Nice jumps for Bastille & Olly. Also I expected Lorde to debut higher but yay anyway. Same goes for Rudimental & Pond. And ooh do I see Owl Eyes there?!
Yayyy Can't Hold Us is at #1!!! Awesome!!! Great to see Perfect Replacement and Pompeii jump up, as well as Army Of Two and nice debuts for Royals and Waiting All Night.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hold the top spot for a second week with 'Can't Hold Us' featuring Ray Dalton. Racing up the charts is Bastille's 'Pompeii', up seven to #2. Also zooming up is Lorde, with her track now at #3 after jumping eight places. Ed Sheeran finally hits the Top 10 at #9 with 'Small Bump', whilst Stafford Brothers are now at #10 with their track 'Hello', featuring Christina Milian and Lil' Wayne. Disclosure are up three to a new peak of #13 with 'White Noise' featuring AlunaGeorge, Olly Murs is also up three with 'Army Of Two', and Rudimental are up to #14 with 'Waiting All Night', featuring Elle Eyre. Giant Tortoise swim their way up to #18 with 'Pond'. Our highest entry this week is from San Cisco, with their track 'Fred Astaire'. Yes, I know this song was bigger in Jan/Feb, but in my chart, I gave 'Beach' the chart run 'Fred Astaire' should've had, but now that 'Beach' is becoming bigger, I thought it would be a good way to compensate, so hence here is 'Fred Astaire'. Little Mix enters the chart for the third time, with 'Change Your Life' coming in at #22 - their other tracks being 'Wings' (HP-18) and 'DNA' (HP-17). After four years, Justin Timberlake is back in the Top 25 with 'Mirrors'. Suit & Tie (HP-27) missed out the Top 25, but his last track to reach was with T.I, and 'Dead And Gone' (HP-7) back in 2009. His highest chart track is 'What Goes Around...Comes Around' (HP-3). Over on the Album Charts, Lorde's debut EP 'The Love Club EP' rises to #1. Could her hit single also hit #1 soon? Paramore's self titled LP debuts at #4, and the Ministry Of Sound compilation 'Anthems 90's' comes in at #5. Thanks in advance for your comments.

YOLO
The Lonely Island ft. Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar
Very good top three, fantastic to see Pompeii surging, hopefully to be #1 next week! Also pleased to see Bumpie make the top ten and the debuts for San Cisco and Justin Timberlake. Good jump for Olly Murs too.
nice to see Macklewis holding #1 and very nice jumps to make up the rest of the top 3. lol San Cisco, now that Beach is getting flogged on the radio I'm getting a little sick of it Cool jump for Pond and nice to see JT debut.
Awesome top 4! Great to see M&RL at the top - I haven't heard your #5 yet but Example has done pretty well on my chart in the past so It's definitely one I'll have to check out! Sweet rise for Small Bump & Army Of Two and really awesome to see Mirrors debut! Awesome to see Paramore debut on the albums
Good to see Can't Hold Us still at number one. Your top 4 is excellent this week. Pompeii, Royals, I Need Your Love, Do Or Die, Small Bump, Army Of Two, Waiting All Night, Global Concepts, Mountain Sound, I Could Be The One and Change Your Life are all good.
That is a ripper top four. The only reason that it's not topfive id because I am unfamiliar with that Example track, but it is probably good haha. Nice to see Ed and Staffords hit the top ten, as well as a rise for Olly. Pleased to see JT and Little Mix debut, but Chris Brown can probably stay on the cusp. At this stage, I'm not sold on it. Very nice chart
Surprise! With tough competition for the #1 spot this week, Lorde’s ‘Royals’ wins. Lorde becomes the first New Zealand act in a very long time to reach #1, and also becomes the youngest artist to hit #1 since Sean Kingston in 2007 with ‘Beautiful Girls’. So close to the #1 spot is ‘Pompeii’ from Bastille, who are favourites to be the next #1. Stafford Brothers improve four place with ‘Hello’, featuring Christina Milian and Lil’ Wayne, and Olly Murs is back with his now fourth Top 10 hit ‘Army Of Two’ at #8 (‘Heart Skips A Beat’ (HP-2), ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ (HP-3), ‘Troublemaker’ (HP-6)). Rudimental secure their third Top 10 placing with ‘Waiting All Night’, featuring Ella Eyre, at #9. San Cisco are up seven places with ‘Fred Astaire’ at #14, whilst ‘Mirrors’ is up five to #18, and Little Mix improve one spot to #21 with ‘Change Your Life’. A massive re-enter this week comes from Flume and Hermitude, with ‘HyperParadise (Flume Remix)’. Originally peaking at #25 back in mid February, this track returns to #16 after spending many weeks in the mid-lower end of the Top 50. There are a few reasons why this is re-entering, including Flume’s Triple J One Night Stand performance in Dubbo, and the fact that I wanted a better chart run for this song. Our highest debut this week comes from Fall Out Boy, with ‘The Phoenix’ at #23. This is the second track from ‘Save Rock And Roll’ to chart (My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up) (HP-20)), and becomes the band’s twelfth Top 25 chart entry overall since 2004. Our final entry this week comes from Brooke Addamo, also know as Owl Eyes, with her track ‘Closure’. In retrospect, I should’ve charted Owl Eyes more higher, but it looks like ‘Closure’ might become a hit here. (‘Raiders’ (HP-24), ‘Faces’ (HP-26). ‘Love Run Dry’ (HP-23)).
Over on the Album Charts, Major Lazer beats fierce competition from Michael Buble ('To Be Loved') and Fall Out Boy ('Save Rock And Roll') to hit the top spot. That is all. Thanks in advance for your comments

HELLO
Stafford Brothers ft. Christina Milian & Lil’ Wayne
Great to see Stafford Brothers, JT and Little Mix rise. Cool appearance for Paramore in your album chart, and hopefully T.I/Pink and Avril can enter next week.
COME ON POMPEII! A lot of people have it at #1 so why can't you? lol only kidding but I hope it does grab that top spot. Sad to see Can't Hold Us fall off the top spot as well. But nice to see Olly and Mirrors rise. Ooh is the Buble video good? This song is charting for me but struggling quite a bit.
@anton - The video is somewhat similar to 'Hollywood', and was struggling for me too until this week...
WEEK 17
They’ve finally done it. After facing competition for two former #1s, Bastille are #1 with ‘Pompeii’, and pick up a gold accreditation in the process. ‘Pompeii’ becomes the eight #1 this year, and the first UK British band to reach #1 since Muse a few weeks ago with ‘Panic Station’ (hope it becomes a single soon), and before that would’ve been Rudimental with ‘Feel The Love’. BTW - I did not put it at #1 because antonnalan told me to . The rest of the Top 5 remains the same, with no movements for ‘Can’t Hold Us’, ‘Perfect Replacement’, and I Need Your Love’.
Olly Murs is up two places to #6 to match his third highest charting track ‘Troublemaker’ (HP-6). Rudimental are also up two to #7 with ‘Waiting All Night’, featuring Ella Eyre. ‘HyperParadise (Flume Remix)’ rises eight spots to land in the Top 10, at #8. This becomes the first Top 10 placement for Hermitude (‘Speak Of The Devil’ missed out, peaking at #11), whilst it’s the fifth Top 10 in just under six months for Flume (‘Holdin’ O’n (HP-1, HP-2 in 2013), ‘Sleepless’ (HP-8), ‘On Top’ (HP-3), and ‘Left Alone’ (HP-3)). Just shy of the Top 10 are San Cisco, who are up three places to #11 with ‘Fred Astaire’. ‘Closure’ is up four places to #21.
Our highest entry this week is ‘Get Lucky’ by Daft Punk, featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers at #12. This becomes the equal fourth highest debut in the charts. ‘Get Lucky’ becomes Daft Punk’s first chart entry since ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger (Alive 2007)’ back in 2007, and before that, ‘Technologic’. Daft Punk’s most successful single for me is ‘One More Time’, back from 2000. ‘Get Lucky’ becomes Pharrell Williams’ first entry since ‘Hypnotise U’ (HP-22) with N.E.R.D back in early 2011, as a featured artist since ‘One’ (by Swedish House Mafia), (HP-10) back in 2010, and as a solo artist since ‘Can I Have It Like That’ all the way back in 2005. There are two entries from Michael Buble this week. His first entry is Jackie Wilson’s classic 50’s motown hit ‘To Be Loved’ at #15. I admit I’m a sucker for cheesy ballads, and for songs with 50’s tunes. This has the two. This becomes Michael Buble’s first chart entry since ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’, which debuted a few weeks ago in the thirties, but now enters at #20. Prior to this, his last charting track was ‘Christmas (Please Come Home)’ (HP-16) back in 2011, and before that ‘Haven’t Met You Yet (HP-3) back in 2010.
In at #16 is Porter Robinson & Mat Zo with ‘Easy’. This becomes Porter Robinson’s second entry after ‘Language’ (HP-1). Thirty Seconds To Mars are back after two and a half years with ‘Up In The Air’ at #24. Their last chart entry was ‘Closer To The Edge’ (HP-15). And finally, Paramore have the last entry this week, with ‘Still Into You’ coming in at #25, becoming their first track since ‘The Only Exception’ (HP-24) to chart. Their highest charting tracks for me are ‘Misery Business’ (2007).
Over on the Albums Charts, Michael Buble climbs to #1 with ‘To Be Loved’, becoming his #1 albums since ‘Christmas’ back in 2011. A big drop for the sort of disappointment ‘Free The Universe’ from Major Lazer, whilst the Anthems: 90’s Ministry of Sound compilation is up three to a new peak of #4. New entries from Kid Cudi (‘Indicud’ at #2) and Owl Eyes (‘Nightswim’ at #5).

HELLO
Stafford Brothers ft. Christina Milian & Lil’ Wayne
Gutted that I missed Lorde making #1 but glad that it made it there nonetheless. I like Pompeii as well, so good to see that up at #1. In fact your top six is pretty good so nice stuff. Great debut for Still Into You as well.
Sorry for the delay Bastille remains on the top spot for a second week with ‘Pompeii’. Example is up two places to a new peak of #2 with ‘Perfect Replacement’. Our second highest climber of the week is Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers, with ‘Get Lucky’ rising nine place to #3. The equal highest jump this week is by Porter Robinson & Mat Zo with ‘Easy’ at #5. And Paramore ‘Still Into You’ at #14, both up eleven places. Michael Bublé is up five places to #9 with ‘To Be Loved’, whilst his other charting track ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’ is up two to #18. Rebounds for Owl Eyes and Justin Timberlake, both up one place to #21 and #22 respectively.
The highest debut this week comes from Bruno Mars, and is the fourth track from ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ – ‘Treasure’ (the others include ‘Locked Out Of Heaven (HP-5), ‘Young Girls’ (HP-3), ‘When I Was Your Man’ (HP-5)). Our other debut this week is at #22, and Is by ShockOne, with his track ‘Lazerbeams’, featuring Metrik and Kyza. This is ShockOne’s second chart entry since ‘Chaos Theory’ (HP-7), back in September last year. And finally, Feed Me and Crystal Fighters re-enter the charts with ‘Love Is All I Got’ at #23.
Over on the Album Charts, Michael Bublé remains #1 for another week. ShockOne makes a massive debut at #2, whilst another Ministry of Sound compilation enters – Electro House Sessions 6. Owl Eyes is up one spot.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

HELLO
Stafford Brothers ft. Christina Milian & Lil’ Wayne
Great jump for Still Into You and cool to see Pompeii holding the top spot. I hope Blurred Lines and Young and Beautiful can debut soon! Wow for The Heist being Platinum x4. It's a great album though!
Oh no, the songs I like slightly more are getting replaced. I don't mind Easy, but it runs too close to Language without the same appeal. Get Lucky is great though. Closure & Mirrors inching up too yay!
Bastille hold on to the #1 position for a third week albeit some fierce competition from Daft Punk and his crew, and Rudimental. As mentioned before, ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Waiting All Night’ at positions #2 and #3 respectively. This becomes Rudimental’s third Top 3 hit, after ‘Not Giving In’ (HP-2) and ‘Feel The Love’ (HP-1). Porter Robinson & Mat Zo are up one spot to #4, whilst Michael Buble is up three with ‘To Be Loved’. Bruno Mars is up seven to land in the Top 10 at #9 with ‘Treasure’, becoming his fourth Top 10 from ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’, and fourteenth Top 10 overall (within three years, see Bruno Mars Discography for more info).
The biggest jump this week comes from ShockOne, with ‘Lazerbeams’, featuring Metrik & Kyza, up twelve place to hit #10. Paramore is up to a new peak of #12, whilst Owl Eyes’ ‘Closure’ rises seven places to a new peak of #13. Michael Buble is up two with ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’, whilst Justin Timberlake is back in the Top 20 with ‘Mirrors’ rising to #17. Perth band Giant Tortoise re-enter the chart with ‘Pond’ at #22.
If you were to tell me that ‘Blurred Lines’ would chart in my charts a few weeks ago, I would’ve laughed at you . But here they are- Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I at #24. This is Robin’s first chart entry, whilst this becomes Pharrell’s second track this year to chart. T.I’s other track ‘Guns And Roses’, featuring P!nk, sits shy of the Top 25, peaking at #27 a few weeks back.
Over on the Album Charts, ShockOne hits the top spot with ‘Universus’. Owl Eyes rises to #3, and there are new debuts from Rudimental (‘Home’) and Snoop Lion (‘Reincarnated’). That is all for this week. Expect a huge shake up of the charts next week, with more debuts and surprises...

HELLO
Stafford Brothers ft. Christina Milian & Lil’ Wayne
Really good to see Pompeii hold on, I hope they can stay there, or I hope that Waiting All Night can continue it's rise to #1. Elsewhere, nice rise for Still Into You, Closure and Mirrors and good to see Blurred Lines debut.
Nice to see Pompeii still holding the top spot, Daft Punk & Rudimental rounding out the top 3, nice jumps for Closure & Mirrors, and omg you've mixed up Pond's title & artist again
Great to see Pompeii still on top, I like the two challengers, but I hope Bastille can hold them off. Good jumps for Paramore, Owl Eyes and Justin Timberlake and nice entry for Blurred Lines.
Excellent top two. I would have no issue with Daft Punk getting a shot on top. Nice rises for Bruno, JT, and Michael Buble. I hope Red Hands can debut soon
Daft Punk have done it - ‘Get Lucky’ reaches #1, with the help of Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers. ‘Get Lucky’ becomes the 9th #1 of the year so far, and retrospectively, the second for Daft Punk (‘One More Time’ being the other #1). Coming close at #2 is Bruno Mars with his track ‘Treasure’; now becoming the highest charting track from his album ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ (‘Locked Out Of Heaven’ (HP-5), ‘Young Girls’ (HP-3), and ‘When I Was Your Man’ (HP-5)), and his first song to peak at #2 since ‘Grenade’ beck in 2010 (see Bruno Mars Discography page). New to the Top 10 is Owl Eyes, with her track ‘Closure’ up seven places to #6. ShockOne’s ‘Lazerbeams’, featuring Metrik & Kyza, zips up three spots to #7, matching their equal highest position which was held by ‘Chaos Theory’ (HP-7) last year. San Cisco’s track ‘Fred Astaire’ finally reaches the Top 10, in at #8, becoming their third highest entry out of four charting tracks (‘Awkward’ (HP-5), ‘Wild Things’ (HP-1), ‘Beach’ (HP-9)). ‘Mirrors’ is up three places to a new peak of #14, whilst ‘Blurred Lines’ rises to #23. The highest entry this week comes from Armin van Buuren, with ‘This Is What It Feels Like’, featuring Trevor Guthrie, at #13. This is in fact Armin’s first chart entry in my charts. The second highest entry this week is ‘Insane’ by Flume, featuring Moon Holiday. This becomes Flume’s fifth entry (sixth if you want to include the ‘HyperParadise’ remix (HP-6)), with ‘Holdin On’ (HP-1), ‘Sleepless’ (HP-8), ‘On Top’ (HP-3), and ‘Left Alone’ (HP-3). Lana Del Rey enters the charts at #19 with ‘Young And Beautiful’, becoming her sixth chart entry – ‘Video Games’ (HP-6), ‘Born To Die’ (HP-10), ‘Blue Jeans’ (HP-15), ‘Summertime Sadness’ (HP-7), ‘National Anthem’ (HP-11), and ‘Ride’ (HP-8). New at #20 is Imagine Dragons, with their track ‘Radioactive’. This is their second chart entry, with ‘It’s Time’ (HP-3) charting before. This also becomes the second ‘Radioactive’ to chart, with Kings Of Leon’s ‘Radioactive’ charting back in 2010 (HP-4). Re-entering the Top 25 for a second time (third entry altogether) is Robert Delong, with his surprise hit ‘Global Concepts’, which peaked #7 back in March. And rounding out the debuts this week is Knife Party, with ‘Power Glove’. This becomes the first track from ‘Haunted House EP’ (see Album Charts) to enter, and overall the sixth for the band – ‘Antidote’, vs. Swedish House Mafia (HP-3), ‘Internet Friends’ (HP-5), ‘Destroy Them With Lazers’ (HP-5), ‘Centipede’ (HP-6), and ‘Bonfire’ (HP-1).
Over on the Albums Charts, ShockOne retains his #1 position with ‘Universus’, despite some competition from Rudimental’s ‘Home’, which rises up to #2. New entries from 'The Great Gatsby Soundtrack', Kinfe Party (‘Haunted House EP’), and Ministry Of Sound’s ‘Addicted To Bass: Volume 2' compilation.

Mat Zo & Porter Robinson move up one place to a new peak of #3 with ‘Easy’, whilst Owl Eyes and ShockOne both climb to places to peak at #4 and #5 respectively. San Cisco’s ‘Fred Astaire’ is up to #6, whilst Armin Van Buuren’s new track ‘This Is What It Feels Like’, featuring Trevor Guthrie is in the Top 10 to #9. Flume scores his fifth Top 10 hit in a row with ‘Insane’, featuring Moon Holiday reaching #10. Imagine Dragons are the biggest climbers this week; up nine places to rank just outside the Top 10 at #11. ‘Mirrors’’ slow descent up the charts continues, this week peaking at #12, whilst ‘Blurred Lines’ and ‘Power Glove’ both rise.
The highest entry this week comes from Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran with ‘Everything Has Changed’. This is Taylor’s seventh Top 25 chart entry since ‘Love Story’ (HP-4) back in 2009, and Ed Sheeran’s seventh track too (see Week 10 commentary). ‘Fineshrine’ from Purity Ring is the second highest debut this week at #18. I was wanting to chart this track ever since early Februaary (after hearing it the first time on the JJJ Hottest 100 countdown), but nevery really got around to doing so, and after hearing it three times last week (on the radio, on Spotify, and in a shop), I finally decided to chart it.
Sheppard’s track ‘Let Me Down Easy’ becomes his first chart entry at #23, whilst Powderfinger’s lead singer Bernard Fanning enters with his track ‘Battleships’ – his previos chart entries include ‘Wish You Well’, ‘Songbird’, and ‘Watch Over Me’. And finally rounding out the debuts this week is Jason Derulo, with his track ‘The Other Side’ (which has grown on me over the past few weeks). This becomes his (surprisingly) 9th chart entry – ‘Whatcha Say’ (HP-5), ‘In My Head’ (HP-1), ‘The Sky’s The Limit’ (HP-7), ‘Ridin’ Solo’ (HP-6), ‘What If’ (HP-2 (wow, lol)), ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ (HP-11), ‘It Girl’ (HP-4), and ‘Breathing’ (HP-5).
Over on the Albums Charts, Rudimental denies top spot debut for Daft Punk with ‘Home’ climbing to #1 – mostly due to the fact that I heard the album more during the week, and it had more time to chart. The new albums from Thirty Seconds To Mars (‘Love Lust Faith + Dreams’) and The Cat Empire (‘Steal The Light’) enter at #8 and #9 respectively; expect them to rise in the coming weeks. That is all.
Good to see Treasure doing so well hopefully it is your next number 1, the rise for Closure is great same with lazerbeam, Radioactive, Mirrors and also great to see Taylor Swift and Jason Derulo debut
Ooh, Get Lucky & Closure means that we share 2 songs in the top 5 this week! Great to see Flume jump into the top 10, with Imagine Dragons right behind him. Nice debut for Bernard.
Nice to see Daft Punk still on top and the gains for Closure and Fred Astaire, but a shame that Pompeii is falling so hard and fast. Good moves also for Imagine Dragons, Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke and an awesome entry for Taqylor/Ed. I don't mind The Other Side now either.
No move from the top spot this week, with 'Get Lucky' reaching 3 weeks at #1. The unlucky 'Treasure' from Bruno Mars remain #2 for a third week as well. Moving up six places is Armin van Buuren with his track 'This Is What It Feels Like', featuring Trevor Guthrie rising to #3. Imagine Dragons achieve their second Top 10 track with 'Radioactive' rising six places to #5 ('It's Time' (HP-3) peaked earlier this year). This weeks biggest jump comes from Purity Ring, with 'Fineshire' up twelve places to #6. Flume improves one spot with 'Insane', featuring Moon Holiday.
Moving up three is Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran with 'Everything Has Changed', whilst Lana Del Ray is up six with her track 'Young And Beautiful', and Bernard Fanning is up nine spots to #15 with 'Battleships'. Jason Derulo moves into the Top 20 with 'The Other Side' rising seven spots to #18.
The highest entry this week comes from Yolanda Be Cool, with 'A Baru In New York', featuring Gurrumul (Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu). This is Yolanda Be Cool's second entry after 'We No Speak Americano' back in 2010. The second entry this week is from Zedd, entitled 'Clarity', featuring Foxes. This becomes Zedd's second chart entry after 'Spectrum', featuring Matt Koma, charted last year, peaking at #7.
Over on the Albums Chart, Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' climbs to #1. The last time I had an artist take both #1 Single and #1 Album was Muse late last year ('Follow Me' and 'The 2nd Law'). Lorde and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were both close. 'The Great Gatsby' soundtrack, 'Love Lust Faith & Dreams', and 'Steal The Light' all move up to #3, #4 and #6 respectively, whilst Modestep makes a big re-entry to #5 with 'Evolution Theory'.
Get Lucky has done it again; spending another week at #1 now bringing the total to 4 weeks, which becomes the 2nd longest run at #1 in 2013. Moving one step closer to #1 is Armin van Buuren and Trevor Guthrie’s ‘This Is What It Feels Like’; this week at #2. Purity Ring’s ‘Fineshrine’ rises three places to #3, whilst Imagine Dragons are up again with ‘Radioactive’ in at #4. Flume’s rise with ‘Insane’, featuring Moon Holiday continues; this wee he’s up two to #7, whilst Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran both achieve another Top 10 with ‘Everything Has Changed’ rising five places to #8. Lana Del Rey achieves her fifth Top 10 with the song from The Great Gastby; ‘Young And Beautiful’ at #9. ‘A Baru In New York’ from Yolanda Be Cool & Gurrumul is up one place whilst Zedd and Sheppard are both up two places with ‘Clarity’, featuring Foxes, and ‘Let Me Down Easy’.
This week’s highest debut Is courtesy of Muse; with ‘Supremacy’ debuting at #11. This becomes the fifth (and delayed) track from The 2nd Law to chart (‘Survival’, ‘Maddness’, ‘Follow Me’, ‘Panic Station’). This track was bound to ener, but I was of unsure of an appropriate time to debut it, so this week become the lucky week for it to debut! Our second entry this week is from Birds Of Tokyo; their track ‘When The Night Falls Quiet’ debuting at #14. This becomes the band’s sixth Top 25 entry since 2010, and eight overall; their last being ‘Lanterns’ (HP-3) back in February, and the third track from ‘March Fires’ to enter.
Former #1 artist Lorde enter the singles chart for the second time with ‘The Love Club’ coming in at #16; this come from her #1 EP (on the Album Chart a few weeks ago) and follows on from Lorde’s #1 single ‘Royals’, which in fact drops out this week. The Lonely Island are back this week with ‘Semicolons’, featuring Solange; becoming their second charting track from ‘The Wack Album’ which is to be release in a few days time (‘YOLO’, featuring Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar (HP-3); there are eleven semicolons in this commentary). The final debut this week is from Mariah Carey and Miguel, with #Beautiful. This is Mariah’s first entry since 2006 (None of her songs E=MC^2 or Memoirs... charted); and this is Miguel’s first chart entry (‘Adorn’ is yet to chart).
Over on the Albums Chart, Daft Punk remain #1 with ‘Random Access Memories’, whilst The Great Gatsby Soundtrack, Modestep and The Cat Empire all move up. New entries from Disclosure (‘Settle’) and Triple J (‘One Night Stand – Live In Dubbo’). Birds Of Tokyo’s ‘March Fires’ makes a re-entry.
Cool to see GET LUCKY, THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE, RADIOACTIVE, POMPEII and CLARITY in your chart. It's sad to see MIRRORS and CAN’T HOLD US drop out of the chart.
We have a new #1! ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ rises up to the #1 position, ending Daft Punk’s four week run at #1. ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ becomes the first #1 for Armin van Buuren, and the tenth #1 this year. Muse are back into the Top 10 (or Top 3 as a fact) at #3 with ‘Supremacy’, becoming the sixth Top 3 hit from ‘The 2nd Law’. Lana Del Rey is up four place to #5 with ‘Young And Beautiful’, which becomes her highest charting single to date, surpassing ‘Video Games’’ #6 peak. Taylor and Ed are up to #7, whilst Lorde leaps ten places into the Top 10 with ‘The Love Club’ at #9. Sheppard are up nine places to #13, ‘Clarity’ moves up six places to #15, and ‘#Beautiful’ rises to #22. This week’s highest debut is the fourth single from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘The Heist’; ‘Wing$’ in at #10. This is, as mention previously, their fourth single to chart, the other being ‘Thrift Shop’ (HP-5), ‘Same Love’ (HP-24) and ‘Can’t Hold Us’ (HP-1). Our second debut this week comes from Boy & Bear, who didn’t need to appear in the ‘Coming Soon’ section, straight away debuting at #20 with ‘Southern Sky’. This becomes the band’s fourth Top 25 chart entry since 2010, the other include ‘Fall At Your Feet’ (HP-22), ‘Feeding Line’ (HP-4), and ‘Part Time Believer’ (HP-6). Rounding out this week’s entries is Duke Dumont and A*M*E, with ‘Need U (100%) coming in at #25. Over on the Albums Chart, Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ remain #1 for a third week, whilst Disclosure’s new album ‘Settle’ does the opposite, rising to #3. Lorde’s ‘The Love Club EP’ and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘The Heist’ both re-enter at #5 and #6 respectively. That is all for this week.
Not feeling the #1 but I do prefer it to Get Lucky but good to see that. Awesome rise for Young and Beautiful, Everything Has Changed, The Love Club, Let Me Down Easy, Clarity and #Beautiful. I hope Resolution can chart soon.
Solid top two. I am really getting into Armin's offering. Nice rises for Lana Del Rey, Taylor & Ed, Sheppard and Mariah. I'm not feeling Duke Dumont, but I am pleased to see Macklemore debut.
Aww, but Get Lucky had a neat run anyway. Big jump for Muse! Lorde too which is growing on me, but now she's gone and released a different single Cool debuts; Southern Sun is growing on me very quickly.
Nice to see Duke Dumont & Macklemore debuting. Great also seeing Lana Del Rey in the top 5, besides that, my fave in the top 5 is your new #1. Catchy track.
The second last chart of the financial year! Armin van Buuren’s run at #1 has come to an end, with Muse scoring their 4th #1 from ‘The 2nd Law’ with ‘Supremacy’. Lorde rises up six places to score her second Top 3 hit with ‘The Love Club’. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis fly five places to #5 with ‘Wing$’ whilst Zedd & Foxes finally crack the Top 10, rising eight places to #7.New to the Top 10 is Sheppard with their track ‘Let Me Down Easy’ going up easy to #9. Boy & Bear rise to #11 with ‘Southern Sky’, whilst Mariah Carey & Miguel rise into the Top 20 to #16.
This week’s highest debut is from Matt Corby, with his new one ‘Resolution’. This is Matt Corby’s second Top 25 hit, his other being ‘Brother’ {HP-6} from last year. 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa end up debuting at #15 this week with ‘We Own It (Fast & Furious) from the Fast & Furious 6 Soundtrack (which debuts, see below). This becomes Wiz Khalifa’s third Top 25 entry (‘Black & Yellow {HP-7}, ‘Young, Wild And Free’ {HP-2}), and 2 Chainz’ second entry after ‘F**kin’ Problems {HP-10}. Disclosure’s third entry into the charts ‘You & Me’, featuring Eliza Doolittle enters at #18. Disclsoure have previously charted with ‘Latch’, featuring Sam Smith {HP-11} and ‘White Noise’, featuring AlunaGeorge {HP-13}. And finally, debuting at #24 is Bliss N Eso’s second track from their upcoming album ‘Circus In The Sky’, ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’. This is the second track from the mentioned album, with ‘House Of Dreams’ peaking at #24 a few weeks ago.
Over on the Albums Chart, after patiently waiting for five weeks, ‘The Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack hits #1, overtaking Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’, which also picks up another platinum accreditation. After two years, The Lonely Island crack the Albums Chart with their new album ‘The Wack Album’, which debuts at #3. ‘The Fast & Furious 6’ soundtrack (ironically) enters at#6, whilst Imagine Dragon’s ‘Night Visions’ makes a return to the charts at #7, having peaked at #3 back in March. That is all for this week.
