Great to see that Red Lights has caused You to re-enter the top 40, hopefully it doesn't drop back in there. Good to see Story Of My Life and Free up to new peaks.
nice rise for MKTO into the top 20 even though it was only by virtue of the drop outs, not much movement to comment on although Beautiful Jess is too high, and that goes without saying for Pop A Bottle. Good re-entry for Animals! Also 100% expected, but it's sad to see Red Lights unworthy
Keep that top spot Strong! Wow, One Direction, go top ten please! Timber down is sad, but yay new peaks for Blunty, Ed and MKTO. And yay for the heights of Magic becoming almost lofty. Poor Tiesto.
Drop The Game . I prefer Demi's Let It Go so happy that Idina's is only one spot above it. Lolwut Swing. Lol at the crediting for My Life, not sure why you've done that though. I was worried You would be dropped again so I'm pleased to see Say Something in the less worthy list
It was bound to happen looking at your main chart, but it seems unfair or London Grammar to only get three weeks on top due to bad timing, Strong deserves much longer. At least I don't hatr FlumeChet. Royals back in the top ten, omg. And wow Swing; I don't hate it or anything, but that's getting up there. While it seems you assumed everyone would put the Let It Go's next to each other, prior to hearing them I actually assumed that I would and nobody else would and people would make mention of it that I did it. But then I heard them and it was obvious that I preferred Idina's in every aspect. If I hadn't been in a hurry to get BZAP done last week so I could watch sport, the gap on mine would have been much larger. Rude falls, nooooo. And Taylor is getting way too close to being unworthy. I wonder if we thoretically had Say Something in the same place again.
Ooh go Warrior getting a new peak even if it feels weird as it's old, but then again the same thing happened on mine as well . Yay for Demi ahead of Idina this week. Kinda shocked that Feelin' Myself was the top debut, I was expecting Undressed (which should totally be higher but at least it wasn't less worthy) or the Snowman thing (which I didn't expect you to not like it that much) instead. Surprised Adore You managed to scrape into the top 40 as well. A shame Say Something is out of the less worthy list
I listened to FlumeChet for the first time in a while yesterday and now that I remember it it's better. But still Strong is betterer. It won't, but I'll hope for a wizard to magically get it back to the top. Royals is never going to die, lol, that seems more like something I would do. Story Of My Life for top ten! Lol that Swing can be so high and still be behind something as gross as Warrior. Nice new peaks for Blunty and MKTO and yay for the Taylor rebound! Shame to see Demi ahead of Idina now, but hopefully that means this coming week is Idina's turn again. I'm surprised at the highest debut but I guess there was nothing especially likely to have come in any higher. Poor Snowman. I'm claiming that Say Something was #41 last week so our runs can remain the same.
Yay at the top ten debut, I definitely didn't expect it so high. Good to see Goodness Gracious and Legacy have decent debuts, although I do wish the latter was higher. Happy that Free is slowly climbing up. A shame Adore You was dropped because I prefer it to #39 and #40, hopefully those two are in there next week. And on that note I hope Like A Drum and Undressed aren't dropped because of all of the H100 stuff entering/re-entering
Not that hard to get into the top ten, but One Direction were sadly unable. Strong is better, and I believe you think so too, so Drop The Game really shouldn't be allowed to nab more weeks on top than it just because of timing. Even though it's not a bad #1. Surprised Shakira is quite that high, and surprised Aloe is so low; below even Legacy! Glad to see Idina back ahead of Demi, and there's even another song separating them this time! I don't like Magic and Taylor down (lameass Legacy!) but I do like seeing Munty deemed unworthy because he so very is.
Even though I knew you were charting it I didn't expect Is This How You Feel? to be #1. Although I'm dissapointed Drop The Game has dropped from #1 I like the new #1 too. And on that note it looks like there may be another #1 debut on the next chart which is kind of sad because I want Drop The Game back there but anyway it'll be a good enough replacement . I like that Jump debuted high and Do I Wanna Know? and Get Lucky re-entered in the top ten but boo to Eat Sleep Rave Repeat. And a bigger boo to I'm A Freak .lolwtf at the rise for Riptide. Happy to see The Man and Say Something dropped but poor Like A Drum. And hopefully Undressed avoids being dropped next week
Great to see The Preatures on top; no way could Manic Baby be justified. I'm also pleased to see that separation between Arctics and Get Lucky. Happy is ruining an all H100 top five though. Fatboy in the top ten is gross but expected. Only one riser, but it's an awesome one for Riptide, but of course there's no H100 effect for personal charts! Beyonce seems weirdly high just because it's shit and Rihanna seems weirdly high because it's her, but those pale in comparison to Enrique, because W! T! F!? That's seriously what I would have picked as battling Trumpets for #50 if you ranked those last ten, wow I would never have expected you to even tolerate that thing remotely. Bizarre. Then again, maybe Red Lights is #50. Our Say Something runs no longer are close to matching which is sad, but I couldn't expect you to do what I'm doing there, so my bad. Even though everything other than Riptide is falling, it's interesting to see some of the things that have fallen less and passed other things. A bad week for Warrior especially which is nice. Will be interesting to see how they shake out next week.
I do prefer Manic Baby, but yeah ok I prefer the accurate way. Great to see Preatures on top nevertheless, awesome re-entry for Arctics and even higher than me! ESRR was kinda expected, but omfg wtf at Enrique
Yay for Drop The Game getting another week at #1 and wow Tear It Down, I wasn't expecting it that high. I like the placing of the debuts for Headlights and Into The Blue and the re-entry for Legacy. I like that Can't Remember To Forget You, Jump and Undressed are up but I was hoping Like A Drum could become worthy again.
Come on Strong, get back to #1! Or maybe INXS, that'd be cool too. Tear It Down is too high though, I got nothing from it. If I were you that'd be worthy of unworthy of the highest order is how I felt essentially. Shakira top ten, wow. You're playing with fire there, unless you want to be deported. I don't like Headlights so high (although this second listen I am having atm seems better, go Nate!) nor do I like The Vamps making their song a statement which I interpret as arrogant, rather than a request. Brave is bizarrely high for a song that is basically Roar unless of course Roar would be there if it weren't Katy. Legacy above Kylie, ewwww. Dunno whether to hope for one final week for Taylor and risk seeing him wrongly deemed unworthy, hmmm.
Love the #1 debut, although it's not like it was a surprise or anything. Need You Tonight's debut is kind of surprising though, I knew it'd be top 5 but I wasn't expecting it to be #2. The only bad thing about that is Drop The Game is down to #3. Good debut for Old Scars and appropriate placing for Snowman thing. Headlights, Brave, Jump, Goodness Gracious and Undressed all having rises is great, as is Like A Drum re-entering the top 40, I just hope it can stay out of there until it leaves ARIA.
Well yes, but that just shows how little attention I pay, and also if the right combination of letters/words are there, I can read it as correct and slightly suspect that something is wrong, but either never work it out or take forever to do so. My brain is weird. In any case Clean Bandit is fine, and expected as #1, but the love for it on this site is so overwhelming and I'm not feeling it. Royals 2014 for me, in that I like it, but I don't love it nearly as much as everyone else and will never get why it's looking to be so huge.
I'd much have preferred INXS on top, hopefully they can somehow do so if you decide to be nice. Rather Be will have many more chances to be on top, but Need You Tonight may not. Or you could give Never Tear Us Apart a turn; I keep wavering on the two, as evidenced by giving different ones top points for the last two rounds of the game. Brave nearly top ten, wow, I can only imagine how high Roar could have gone if it weren't a Katy song! Would have liked Ryan Keen higher, but that's decent. Go Undressed, surge!!! Poor Snowman.
Now I know why you called 392's top two glorious But yes it is very cool to see Clean Bandit on top, and I suppose I would never complain with INXS re-entering the ARIA chart. I can't see anyone beating Rather Be for the foreseeable future but maybe I'm forgetting something that either you've just decided you like or Australia has. The rises for Sara Bareilles and Rihanna are good, even though I'm not huge on either song. But lol at Snowman, and if The Man breaks through there will be hell to pay And lol Like A Drum.
Clean Bandit again of course; was hoping for INXS but not really expecting it. Hard to deny a song in your actual top ten probably. WTF Peking Duk, that's unexpected. It wasn't as sucky as I thought I'd find it, but I still got little out of it. I'm more surprised Chet didn't score the highest debut, and I'd have been much happier if he did. Brave top ten, lol. Poor Roar. Neon Jungle so high is so wtf as well; seems like the sort of thing you wouldn't like. Poor Happy; big drop! Will Sparks is way too high for my liking; I believe I feel the way about Catch that you feel about Red Lights; a pointless song which shouldn't even bother existing because it's worthless. I expected you to like Lily more.
Great to see High and Talk Is Cheap debut in the top ten, I didn't expect High that high because you'd only first heard it on Saturday and I didn't expect Talk Is Cheap that high because you said you were unsure about whether you liked it or not. Although the High debut does make mine look #flopsatay but the lower debut will be made up for in the next AP . Braveheart so high is unexpected but cool and Catch top twenty is great as well. Catch is a million times more interesting and a million times less generic than Red Lights so its placing here is deserved I like that Air Balloon is way below the other debuts. I think Brave into the top ten is lolworthy as well. I hope Can't Remember To Forget You can get a new peak soon
omg yay go High and Talk Is Cheap! Cool to see the top three debuts and the Old Scars re-entry do well. A shame to see Shot Me Down in the unworthy pile even though I expected it and especially since Say Something re-enters the top 40. Good to see She Looks So Perfect in there though. Lol Take Me Home. Cool to see Braveheart and Catch up to new peaks as well.
Oh, well, I guess you've successfully found a legitimate way for me to support Rather Be to extend its run on top, since High is a waste of space in general and in the charts. Nice to see Chet move into the top five, but a shame to see Don't Change outplace Never Tear Us Apart, even though I like it quite a bit more than my review probably suggests. Brave is getting ridiculously high, but perhaps you don't feel that it's the same as Roar the way I do. I really need to stop being so surprised at things I see here; my brain logically knows that your taste has shifted somewhat but I still can't quite get used to seeing things like Braveheart and Jump so high while other things I would have expected to do better in the past now flounder. (This is the point where my power went out last night; I considered moving to my laptop or phone but it seemed easier to go to bed. And happily, when my session restored this morning, the first part of my comment had survived. Huzzah!) Shame to see Catch move up while Old Scars takes quite a tumble from the original entry. I get the feeling Say Something will not be allowed to ever get higher than #40, but it's nice to at least see it worthy, Cash Cash too, just because it's amusing that your hand was somewhat forced. 5SOS were always going to be deemed unworthy which is a shame, but it's not like I'm disappointed since it's exactly what I expected.
I like the Dukky. Hardly surprised to see Clean Bandit still on top, with any luck, they'll have a very long run at #1. Major Lazer not high enough though, seriously, those three songs directly above it?? Anyway I'm surprised to see Brave so high because I don't really get much out of it. Ouch Ryan Keen, was hoping for a new peak. At least Undressed does move up. Most of those what le fuq songs can continue to fuq off
Not surprised at the high Magic debut but I think it's a bit meh so I'd prefer it lower. Lol at Roar re-entering, a shame We Don't Play Around, Shot Me Down or You're Beautiful couldn't have gotten in instead but I'm not surprised they didn't. Cool rises for Talk Is Cheap, Brave, Aerosol Can and The Power Of Love. I hope High can get at least 1 week at #1 in the next few weeks.
Great to see Chet hit the top three and FlumeChet and Coldplay coming into the top five. Like most of us there are so many rises mostly due to dropouts, but I'm glad to see them for Brave and Undressed. Lol at the lofty heights of Take Me Home, and woohoo for Say Something nabbing a new peak. Shame to see Demi beat Idina this week, but I'm weirdly glad Pitbull and Derulo made it in. I have a theory regarding potential change, but it's probably wrong and I kind of hope it is. Still intrigued though.
Clean Bandit still on top is all good stuff, surprised to see Talk Is Cheap doing so well now. Great rise for Major Lazer now in the top 10 and lol Royals.
As has been my tendency lately, this got a tad lengthy, but I thought I should deliver next to everything I need to say on this:
I started this thing back in 2010 based on an idea of BZ's from long before that and on the premise to show what I did like in the ARIA charts because my personal chart didn't represent much of it. Ignoring one twat instance from a few years ago, I'd like to hope that the idea I do enjoy pop music has gotten across; why else would I devote so much of my weekends to it?!
Nonetheless with that purpose fulfilled, I've often been thinking about what I like about doing this chart, and what I don't like. The main problem I have with it is that the regularity of being rewarded is just far too thin. With over half a decade of chart watching under my belt, I've gotten a better idea of what makes sense in the top 50 and what doesn't. Lately it's become more abundantly clear that it's exceedingly difficult to get into the top 50 without CHR support, which makes the whole thing totally arbitrary in a way I can't get behind.
And I go back to 2010 again, back when chartifacts threads still got comments that weren't from me (c'mon guys!) and getting a hold of any top 100 data was far too much of a chore and didn't actually interest me all that much apart from wondering if "I Gotta Feeling" or "Poker Face" would ever fall out! Nonetheless, since then I've gotten far more interested in the top 100 as it seems slightly less restricted than the top 50 and so a lot of interesting stuff can only ever reside there. Not to mention the fact that a lot of stuff I like can have exceedingly lengthy runs and only just barely bob into the top 50 where it's not nearly as satisfying to show on the AP. And I want there to be more reward to something making the top 100, because all I really get out of it sometimes is the chance to play it on the broadcast once, the knowledge that a certain douche is probably whining about it, some reviews that don't interest me, and get to vote for it in the SHFG, though with the handicap present because not enough people pay attention to stuff that doesn't cross over as a genuine hit
Additionally, I really, really don't get much out of the art of hatrade. When I can't get into something, I more often square my disappointment at myself than the music, and I genuinely don't understand the logic by identifying oneself through what they don't like. The best that can be done in that situation is to just ignore it, whether it be an artist you don't like, a song you don't like, or a collection of re-animated giant billboard monsters destroying Springfield.
So coming as a solution to these issues, I've slightly revamped my AP from here. Instead of being the top 40/50 of the current ARIA top 50, I'm now stretching it to the top 40/50 of the current ARIA top 100. I'll have some more freedom with how long I want songs to stick around, and I won't have to be exceedingly annoyed when things like "Unconditionally" or "Adore You" spend far too long in the top 50, it's not my problem anymore!
To prepare for this, I retroactively did charts for all of 2014 so far in this style, and have adjusted the WI/HP/LW stats accordingly, so it'll be messy initially but once the chart gets into the swing of things, it'll work better. So yeah, it's a bit of a weird change, but it's one that I'll enjoy more, and why limit enjoyment?

Also I'll post my chart on Sunday afternoon, I got distracted tonight + this was time consuming. Last edited:
Curses! That's what I expected as I really couldn't think of any other way to still do this but for it to be less hateful for you. I must admit that I won't enjoy it nearly as much this way. A lot of the fun of the AP for me is being able to compare everyone's, and with different songs in there that can't really happen now. Even though I don't approve of the performances charting, it wasn't as fun when others were replacing them in the top fifty because of the different songs and I'll probably find the same thing from here. It also has the disadvantage that it'll become harder for me to figure out your opinion on top 50 charting stuff. Also-also, I still don't pay that much attention to the 51-100 section, unless there's something I love that I know will be in there and hasn't made the top 50 yet. So if I indirectly led to this change, then boo (without urns!) to me.
Regardless, Rather Be remains on top, and I hope it stays that way. Unless of course Coldplay can take it which they may be shaping up to do with that nice rise. Foxes being top five stands out as something somewhat unexpected; looks like it could be on your actual chart. Lol, Brave would have been up to #4 and Gabrielle up to #7, wow. I quite like Calling All Hearts, so it's nice to see that in, and I can at least work out that Taylor wouldn't have been in the top 27.
Well I mean, a lot of the times I just don't have an opinion on the songs. I often get asked for my opinion on things immediately but a lot of the time I have nothing. What I usually did with my AP was probably a misnomer and probably not very informative. If I kept as is, I don't know where I'd put #SELFIE or Fancy or When You Were Mine, I'm not yet decided on what I think about them.
And the major restriction of how long I could have songs charting just made the whole thing stale and boring; my EOY would essentially be songs I like ordered by how many weeks they were charting, because they'd so often be a permanent fixture in my top 5 for the whole of their run, it lost the novelty for me.
But really the whole thing is just a re-assessment of something I started so long ago; maybe I finally get why Facebook & Twitter are so incessant with changing things!
Even though I liked the previous way of making your AP I do think this is a cool and interesting idea, and one that I'm going to test out myself as you already know . I like that High is still #2 and Let Go For Tonight, Tear It Down and The Walker are all top ten. And all four debuts are cool, and the re-entry for Free is also good. I like the new peaks/re-peaks for Brave, I Spy, Aerosol Can, Catch and Something I Said. Yay that Hey Brother, Sail and Swing all missed out on the top 40. wft at Take Me in there, I assumed you still didn't like it. Although despite me liking the new format I'm dissapointed I didn't get to see where you'd put #SELFIE. I hope to see Summer, I Got U, Recess and Tsunami debut next week
Well ok. I suppose the comparison is the main thing we'll lose from this, otherwise I suppose it'll help me with lower 50 stuff because I don't follow it as much as I should. I would so love The Walker making your chart, hope to see it move up some more on the weekend. Yay Major Lazer and Rudimental too!
I'm not intending to listen to things from 51-100 unless they garner my interest for whatever reason, so there'll generally be stuff I don't know now. Nice to see Nancy Sinatra debut though I guess, and maybe Glass Animals though I've forgotten my opinion on that. Nice move for Calling All Hearts too and a shame to see Riptide out. I kind of hope Royals can stay in your top 40 for its entire top 100 run because of the absurdity. I did mean to ask last week what the retroactive #1s for the year are now because I couldn't make them add up but maybe I was counting wrong?
The highest five debuts are all cool but I would've preferred Tsunami (Jump) and Recess in instead of the other three. So amazing to see High at #1 and I hope it can have many weeks there. Great rise into the top 10 for My Love.
Interesting stuff, and ooh Fitz/Tantrums being quite close! I heard the Thundamentals song the other day I think and iirc it was alright. They're a bit more lively than Horrorshow from what I gather
Even though they played High on the footy earlier and I was mildly enjoying it without realising what it was, I still don't actively like it. Hopefully Asgeir has a shot at the top. Great debut for Sheppard, and wow, that's an improvement for Tsunami in the space of a week! I should listen to Bones to hear it even though it's presumably not a Killers remake because I may like it, and I should listen to Out Of My Limit because that's the one I almost charted a few years ago. Eww, Recess, but nice to see Taylor's existence acknowledged and kind of weird to see Cash Cash acknowledged too, seems to have continued to grow on you. Although that's not the weirdest thing here of course.
Good to see High still slaying but King And Cross would be a good enough replacement. Cool to see Geronimo in already and Tsunami (Jump) and Recess now in the top 40 but lol Out Of My Limit. I like the rises for Gooey, Gold Snafu, The Power Of Love, Aerosol Can, Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down), Catch, Jump, Never Be The Same and Something I Said.
I feel like I am maybe possibly considering thinking about contemplating potentially being on the way to liking High but I would still prefer Asgeir on top. Nice to see The Black Keys debut quite well and Sheppard moving towards the top ten. It seems weird that Drop The Game is so low. Tonight Alive here too, that's unexpected based on what I know of them, which admittedly doesn't include this song. I like that JT debuted and that Taylor, Rixton, Vance Joy and Bastille continue to exist.
Still great to see High at #1. Fever, The Edge, G.U.Y. and Fancy all into the top forty is great. Cool rises for I Got U, Geronimo, Tsunami (Jump), Jump, Chandelier, Never Be The Same, Something I Said and Recess. I hope Loco never makes the top forty
Ooh, great to see Ball Park Music re-enter into the top spot! Very pleased about that one. Also nice to see Chet debut well and rises for Sia, Tonight Alive and Justin Timberlake. Glad to see the debuts for Rixton and Magic and the return for Kate Miller-Heidke. Bring on Taylor who is at #42 I have on good authority!
Actually didn't expect She Only Loves Me When I'm There to be #1. Cool to see Melt in high and Don't Kill The Magic, I Will Never Let You Down and The Last Day On Earth in also. Still surprised you like I Will Never Let You Down as much as you do . I hope Replay can make it into the top 40 eventually.
I suppose a lot of the action at the top could be decided by lower 50 re-entries, but that's all good here because Dukky has had enough time on top and I like Ball Park Music of course. I would have no issue with any of the other contenders to get there though, particularly go Gooey! Good to see some appreciation for the Rita Ora track as well.
Nice to see Asgeir take the top spot. Wow, Pittsburgh is high up and obviously in your main chart. I'm pleased for parts of it and not for others; 2014's Written In The Stars! I should listen to the Lana song although if it's an Eagles ode I may be predisposed to dislike it since they lost tonight and made me miss that tip. Ouch for Sia! Nice to see Short Stack make it in. I feel like Taylor has probably fallen away a little this week with all those entries.
Disappointed High couldn't get another week at #1 but yay for King And Cross. I do like My Silver Lining and in fact it was unlucky #51 for me this week and West Coast is good too. Not surprised at Pittsburgh being that high. I like that 1998, We Are One (Ole Ola), Television and Our Time all got in especially when I didn't expect the last 3 of those to make it in. Yay for Birthday almost making it too. Ouch Chandelier indeed but good to see Don't Kill The Magic and I Will Never Let You Down up to new peaks.
Well I do prefer Peking Duk to Ásgeir #aussiepride Amity in the top 5 is great though, and I liked 1998 ok as well I guess. Good to see Short Stack sneak in too and good that Rihanna has done ok for herself there
nice job for OneRepublic to make it so comfortably first time around, and Avicii to make it. I've only heard Marilyn Monroe once and I forget how it sounds, so get back to you on that one. Great move for West Coast, but wrong way Geronimo!
Oh, cool, that new #1 is certainly my favourite song of at least the top five, I do hope it can make the top fifty. Nice to see Faded with a top ten debut and jumps for Lana and Chet. Guetta even debuting is very surprising, but so high! I'm about to give Midnight a second listen and One Republic a first; at the moment Faded is probably my favourite debut!
Stolen Dance is good but King And Cross and High are so much better tbh. Good to see Faded into the top ten and Marilyn Monroe, Midnight, Bad, Love Runs Out and Lay Me Down into the top 40. Shocked that Bad is that high though! Good to see a tiny new peak for I Will Never Let You Down
Slay slay slay but umm... more shenanigans? I heard a snippet of Marilyn Monroe and it was quite cool, I should give it a proper go really. Midnight is far too low!
Ariana, Jess and Iggy all in your Almost There list! Hopefully Ariana is in the main chart next week, though I don't give the other two a chance because Iggy will drop out next week you'd imagine, but great to see Mauboy got the run she had! I was surprised you charted her at all.
You know, I hadn't even twigged that Stolen Dance was gifted #1 last week when it technically shouldn't have been, despite the fact that I should have, so when I saw that drop I was stunned. It's a shame, but at least it got a turn. I'm pleased to see Sing debut appropriately; I've marginally come around to it but it's still disappointed me so majorly that I don't think I'll ever love it. Nice gain for One Republic and cool to see Sam Smith and Redgum in. Welcome back to Team too. Idina resurgence is a delight, but it seems Taylor has fallen out of favour somewhat from only a couple of weeks ago when he was a theoretical #42.
I didn't expect My Silver Lining to be #1 but it's cool. I also wondered if Stolen Dance getting #1 last week was just because it deserves it even though it's really not at that position atm. I did the same for Animals lol. Sing, I Was Only 19 and Stay With Me into the top 40 is great although I still only think Work is okay. Good to see Problem and Black Widow almost there!
My shenanigans is far less shenanigany than you make it to be imo because I do it for a reason. I can't possibly just chart a song (i.e. Midnight) after hearing it for the first time on chart night; it has to wait for the next week. And my AP has to be a reflektion of my personal in a way; if I distort it in any way, I'll know that a given song not charting should not be higher than a song that is. I wasn't sure where to put this explanation but since you caused Milky shenanigans the other week I thought this would suffice
That Redgum song is always a nice listen, I like that it was able to sell over the Anzac weekend. Work does nothing for me, Sing very little, and My Silver Lining am listening to now! Nice to see Lana in the top 3 now but good to see 1998 and especially Midnight up.
I forgot about that aspect of V Rater, been so long since I did one. Go Lana for the top spot, but poor Stolen Dance is plummeting, I hope that's the appropriate position now so it can stop falling! Nice return for Arctic Monkeys and good to see slight gains for Zhu and Sam Smith. When I saw all the Frozen things there last night, I thought it must be some kind of joke I don't get. I'm not sure now but if it's serious then that's a very bizarre turnaround from Snowman being the worstest thing to chart ever and deserving of no respect. Maybe you saw the movie? Or developed a major Kristen Bell love? I do hope it's serious though because I like them a lot more than most other stuff in the chart. I won't be expecting them to crack the top 40 but I hope they do!
I pretty much did see it two weeks ago, there just wasn't much to show on the ARIA chart last week compared to this week so it looks more drastic now. I still have some of the same Snowman reservations, but I admire it more for its context.
Ooh go West Coast for next #1. Hideaway and Stay High into the top ten is great and Waves, Am I Wrong, Glory And Gore and Problem debuting in the top 40 is also great. Lol at the influx of Frozen things
Good to see Lana take the top spot and Stolen Dance arrest its slide. Nice new peak for Faded and I'm quite happy to see Calm After The Storm debut so high. Wow, that Problem rise. Even though it's my least favourite of their three top twenty hits, I'm happy to see Don't Stop debut and it's also very pleasing to see Love Is An Open Door make the top 40.
Yay West Coast but it looks like My Silver Lining may be back in next week so its run may be short. Good to see Calm After The Storm, Where Is The Love? and Good Kisser in, the latter may make my AP next week if it stays in the top 100. Undo is good too but sick of Frozen stuff and that sounds a bit like Let It Go. Didn't expect Love Is An Open Door to make it into the top 40. Elsewhere good to see King And Cross, Hideaway, Faded, My Love, Waves, Midnight, Problem, Bad, Sing and Am I Wrong all up. Poor I Will Never Let You Down stuck again.
I figured First Aid Kit were probably on their way out (classic irish npa ) so Lana is definitely a good pick. Nice to see Asgeir and Amity move up a spot each as well. Wow Ariana, yay Usher, wow 5SOS, yay Snakey, wow what I assume is a Frozen thing And come on Skrillex!
Doling out those new peaks like they're candy and you're Michael Jackson. I'm pleased to see them go to Zhu, Ed, One Republic, 5SOS, Nico & Vinz and the Frozen gang. I love that Sheppard rebounded a little and I really love seeing Coldplay with the two highest entries. Those are both excellent, although I do prefer Viva La Vida.
Was about to say yay My Silver Lining but I actually prefer West Coast. good top two anyway . I like that the Coldplay entries are in the same order as I have them and that My Immortal and Window To The Sky were almost able to make it. I keep forgetting Salvation exists and it may have made my AP if I'd remembered it on Saturday. I like all the new peaks for Stay High, Faded, Marilyn Monroe, Waves, Problem, Good Kisser, Bad, Sing, I Will Never Let You Down (finally!! ) and Am I Wrong.
Great to see Royksopp/Robyn with such a healthy debut and Washington in the top ten is also nice, not that I've heard it yet. Same for A&J Stone, except for the top ten part; nice entry regardless. Nice to see Chet, Pharrell and Amity rise, as they're the only ones who could manage it this week!
Good to see Do It Again and Limitless both in the top ten as well as the debuts for Satisy, Nobody To Love, I Want U and Pretty Hurts. I also like that Pills N Potions made almost made it.
Don't think I've heard an Alison Wonderland song yet. I like the new A&JS one, more than Megan Washington's. Good to see Amity still holding their own too.
Good to see West Coast back at #1 and Stay High jump up to #2. I Love This Life (which I really didn't expect), We Are Done and Eye Of The Needle all into the top 40 is good. I also like the new peaks for Waves, Turn Down For What, Satisfy, Problem, I Want U and Nobody To Love.
Good to see Lana back on top and wow nice jump Stones! I can't figure out what's happened with the 5-7 range numbering but I'm glad to see Milky Chance back in the top ten. Great to see The Cave with the highest debut, although it feels new enough that AP's would have been going when it charted and it'd be a re-entry. Sad to see Shame couldn't make it in but nice return for Frozen song and I'll hope to like Sia, Kim Cesarion and The Madden brothers when I hear them. Hi there Window To The Sky.
9/10 should be safe for next week at least . I like all the debuts apart from Final Masquerade and it's cool that Make You Mine and Everybody Wants To Rule The World almost made it in. Yay for the Bridges re-entry too, although I thought this week was only its fourth week, which means I may have accidentally missed a week when doing my retroactive AP. I need to look up on that . Nice rises for Hideaway, Faded (feels odd that it's only just peakinng now), High and Eye Of The Needle.
Clearly you've become an Eagles stan; in any case I am glad to see Lana remain on top. I wouldn't mind seeing the Stones get there, although I have no idea if they'll continue to be eligible for long enough even if they could get there. I haven't heard the highest entry but it's probably not one I'd love. Interesting to see Battle Cry make the top ten; I wish I liked it more than I did. The Angels is of course good and I'm pleased to see Bridges back. Linkin and Lana worked for me as well. Nice jump Sia and 38-39 would probably be my favourite portion of the chart.
I love West Coast the song, but not the team. Great to see A&JS not far off, and Zhu and Dukky moving up a spot is cool. Interestingly I did not know deadmau5 had new stuff out but then again I've been ignoring things a lot lately.
I've become glad for Stay High on top; I went out of my way for a second listen a few days ago and liked it a bit and then of course my station finally picked it up so I've heard it like five times now! Not that I didn't like it the first time anyway, I believe I even gave it 4 stars as opposed to the dreaded three! I can just remember how it goes now which will help when making B-ZAP. Wow at the Sia jump and nice to see Milky Chance with a top ten debut. Pleased to see Wasting My Young Years finally debut on ARIA and get in here, seems like ages ago but I still remember when I liked it more than Strong. Come on Benny Tipene!
Ooh yay for Stay High. Wow at the Eye Of The Needle jump, and good to see all of those songs in, but I would've liked Seeya to be up where Phantoms Can't Hang got last week. New peaks for Waves, Satisfy, I Want U and Brooklyn Baby are all nice and cool to see Pills N Potions and Your Love almost there.
I like it at #1 but I'm a bit over it now and would prefer Lana. However, it is nice to see a change. I hope Hideaway, Faded, My Love, Waves, Problem, Bridges and We Are Done can make their way up. Good to see than Nicki and Nicole are on their way up, but I have a feeling Nicole has dropped out of the iTunes Top 100, which I hope doesn't mean that it won't chart on ARIA Top 100. I also have to check out the other Milky Chance song.
I couldn't find "With Or Without You" or "Bang Bang" anywhere, but I'm sure considering the quality of the other Voice entries that they're utterly divine (though "By My Side" & "If I Ain't Got You" were ok)
Glad no Voice things made it here! Nice at the debuts in the top 25 + Thinking Out Loud. Don't Tell 'Em is okay and I may even grow to like it but wtf af Kiss Me Kiss Me. Imo it's the worst of the three 5SOS debuts this week. Hangover is gross too but I was expecting that tbh. And Wasted in the almost there section? I hope it doesn't last long there . I sound extremely negative with that so onto the positives Eye Of The Needle up is cool as is the massive jump for Seeya, I hope the latter ends up charting for you. Also cool for We Are Done and Blackout. Hopefully Window To The Sky, Everybody Rules The World and Pills N Potions can make the top 40.
Awesome to see Stay High remain on top. I don't think it'll quite ever get to my main chart but I do like it to a certain degree now. I also like seeing Rise Against with such a strong debut; while I wanted to like it more than I did, I did at least like it. I haven't heard Alt-J's newbie yet but I hope to like that so it gets a yay for the debut for now. Also somewhat pleased for the Ella Henderson and Ed Sheeran debuts in the top twenty, and certainly pleased for the lower Ed debut, as well as Sia's. It's certainly always nice to see another 5SOS song here, and thus deemed acceptable and wow Psy. I haven't even bothered to listen to that yet, perhaps I should. Nice jump for We Are Done and a cool rebound for Geronimo.
Oh, and yeah, that Taylor Henderson guy has a debut here. That's cool. He's okay and stuff. I didn't think he'd be in there so it's nice to see.
Awesome to see Stay High stay high. I've heard Alt-J's song now and I like it, but at the moment I'd prefer Tove Lo on top. I'm pleased to see Ghost in the top ten and it's fantastic to see Coldplay return in there, although a far way off their peak sadly. Happy is surging! Nice moves also for We Are Done, Big Girls Cry and of course Already Gone. Glad to see Iris and Something's Missing make it in but ewww Voice stuff, particularly I Dreamed A Dream.
Lol at Hangover out, I expected a higher placing for last week tbh otherwise good to see Stay High at the top spot with Sia, Kiesza, ID & Ella just behind. Good to see Sheppard's debut and I Want U up. Haven't heard either version of Gold in full so I should, as well as the Alt-J track.
Hooray a shared #1! Batshit in the top 20? Still worried to hear it after she butchered Chandelier. Yay Goo Goo Dolls! Meh less than exciting Sheppard song. Eww Gabriel & Cecilia It's all good though, because yay Alt-J!
I've since heard "Am I Wrong" as well as every entry in the chart this week Paloma's belated debut means I'm a little over the song, but it deserves the high peak. Also a very busy week means some much needed drops; only 2/10 of last week's 41-50 are retained! (inb4 reverting next week )
Oh, well, while I probably prefer Stay High now of the two songs, I can't be displeased to see Angus & Julia on top as I quite like them and it's nice to see them get a turn. I like the new peak for Ella Henderson and the great re-entry for Milky Chance. It's also nice that George Ezra got such a good debut not that I've heard it yet but I have a weird feeling I'll like it. I'd probably like Only Love Can Hurt Like This if other people didn't incessantly play her album to the point where I have an instant negative reaction to any songs on it (although mostly Can't Rely On You!) because I've heard it about 3956375.49 times now. I love that Taylor managed to stay steady amongst so many drops, as well as new Sheppard, but sad to see old Sheppard gone along with 5SOS. Wow, Bon Iver almost; pity it doesn't even come close to comparing to Skinny Love!
I prefer Stay High too, and I'm hoping Seeya has a shot at #1 too. Good to see Only Love Can Hurt Like This, Flashed Junk Mind, Budapest, Left Hand Free, Get Low, Love Me Less and A Heartbreak in. Wasn't expecting Ugly Heart in though. Nice new peak for Boom Clap and good to see Break Free and Heavenly Father almost in
I third the Stay High #1 support and second the seeya support Otherwise nice Paloma debut, as well as good placings for Ghost, Gold, Budapest, Boom Clap, Problem, Blackout, Touchin' Lovin' (lol ) and Ugly Heart. Cool to see Break Free on the way, hope it debuts next week or in the near future.
Good top 4 but Ghost and OLCHLT is a little disappointing. Nice debuts for Usher/Nicki, Salt-N-Pepa and David Guetta. Great to see Ariana almost there also, really hoping she can make it in next week. Also good for George Ezra and Charli XCX. Last edited:
Seeya getting closer to #1 . Nice jump for Budapest and wow at Work Work and Mother And Father that high. Nice to see She Came To Give It To You, Push It, Happy Ever After and Work all in. Gross at Lovers On The Sun though. Nice new peaks for Boom Clap, Get Low and Blackout. Nice to see Ave Maria, Vida and Black Widow all almost there. Hopefully the latter and Break Free make the top 40 soon.
Great top two once more and an awesome jump for Budapest, go for #1! I haven't heard most of the debuts at this stage but I'm hoping there are some good ones if they crack the top 50. Nice to see Ugly Heart gain a place.
Lol, didn't expect that #1 but I like it so nice to see it there, I do slightly prefer it over HBS. Yay Gecko and nice to see Boom Clap, Don't Tell 'Em and Ugly Heart all improve. Great for Meghan also.
Didn't expect it either but it makes sense. Gecko (Overdrive) for next #1 though! . Great to see Youth and All About That Bass top 10 and the re-entry for Where Is The Love?. Good to see Boom Clap gain significantly in a week with few new peaks.
I have not heard that new #1 so obviously I prefer Heart Beats Slow. Gecko is previewing okay and I think I've heard it on an ad or something before. I'm glad to see Meghan Trainor debut in the top ten and amongst almost everything else falling, Ugly Heart gains a massive new peak! Ooh, Am I Wrong is getting closer!
Shenanigans! But expected of course. I have no idea what to expect for week two, whether it will suffer the falls Stolen Dance did, whether it'll fall more gracefully, or whether you love it enough to keep it there. Love seeing Budapest still in the top five and it's nice to see Sia debut in the top ten. I'm glad George and Meghan were able to be steady among most things falling. This chart definitely shows how much your tastes have evolved; back in the day I'd have expected the likes of Hilary Duff and Bang Bang to be in the bottom ten, which they are now, but of course now means they're ahead of fifty other things. And Am I Wrong is probably still getting closer to something or other which presumably is good.
Yay Jubel, pity Gecko (Overdrive) will most likely be stuck with a #2 peak forever though. All the other debuts/re-entries are cool so great to see them all in. Yay for Bang Bang and Chasing The Sun making the almost there, hopefully the former has a chance at making the top 40.
Nice for Jubel but poor Gecko (Overdrive). Wasn't expecting I'm Not The Only One that high but cool I guess, nice for Anaconda, Not Ready To Make Nice, Roll Up Your Sleeves (which I was expecting to be the highest debut tbh) and Break Free. Cool to see new peaks for Prayer In C, As Long As I Got You, Arcadia and Come Get It Bae. I forgot to say it last week but flop Rather Be, have you gotten a bit sick of it or something?
Yay for Jubel last week, sad for Gecko though. Nice to see Prayer In C up and Sam debut high even if I haven't heart INTOO in full. Yay Anaconda, certainly wouldn't have expected that, and cool for It Was Always You and Break Free! Excellent for CGIB, I really hope that enters the Top 50 but I'm scared it's flopping. Otherwise great to see Crazy Stupid Love, PDSYLM, Black Widow, Bang Bang and Mess Is Mine almost there. Being sick of Rather Be is unacceptable tbh tho
Jubel still, interesting. Gecko may or may not get another chance; I don't look at lower iTunes enough to know but if not then it was robbed. I think I hope Prayer In C gets it next anyway. Nice to see Sam Smith with a top ten debut, but omg Anaconda!? Forget what I said last week regarding Bang Bang and Hilary Duff, that is something I still didn't expect, even now. Maroon 5 have been so underwhelming the past few years that I haven't even bothered to listen to that song yet, but I'll say it's nice to see it in the top twenty and it's awesome to see the Dixie Chicks in; Not Ready To Make Nice is still so amazing. Sad to see Ariana Grande sneak in finally, especially at the expense of Gaplin (ouch drop too!) whose song has grown on me a lot.
I quite like I'm Not The Only One so it's nice to see that at #1, despite of course the Jubel slayage just behind it. Very nice and totally unexpected to see Best Mistake debut straight into the top 10! Now if only Bang Bang would debut into the main chart! Otherwise yay Jess Glynne, Eminem and Lil Jon, and AJR making an appearance in the "almost there" section is promising also.
Well, that's an unexpected but pleasant surprise. I would never have tipped Sam Smith to jump to the top, but I like it more than anything I considered had a genuine chance so I'm quite happy for it. I haven't heard Newjuice yet, but I'll happily predict that I'm happy to see them debut in the top ten. Ariana though. I've heard Maroon 5 now, so it's a certain yay that it gained a place. Also great to see Missy Higgins debut, nice song.
Very surprised! I think I liked the Alt-J song so the highest four debuts are cool. Nice for Shark Fin Blues and Berzerk in too as well. Nice rises for Anaconda, Roll Up Your Sleeves, Come Get It Bae and Break Free. Gross at Bend Ova making the top 40, especially when Black Widow and Bang Bang didn't
I too have not heard Newjuice and I dare say I won't unless I need to/it happens to come on the radio. But I really like Vitriol now so yeah Sam Smith at #1 is strange and I definitely prefer Jubel, but it is nice.
Still a good #1 but Prayer In C would be even better. New Dorp. New York would be a cool replacement too. Nice to see Shower, Kanye and Black Widow in (and Left Hand Free too I guess) but eh at the other debuts. Good rises for Best Mistake, Anaconda, Right Here, Roll Up Your Sleeves, Come Get It Bae and Break Free plus it's cool to see Home make the almost there. That Will Sparks shade tho
Nice to see Sam Smith remain on top and omg Anaconda is top ten. Swifty debuting top twenty is good but awwww Am I Wrong. I guess Gaplin can be the new getting closer then.
#3 is such a flop for something you should like more than me If it can somehow get more weeks in the top 100 I hope it can get to #1. Nice for Fast Car in the top ten as well as Breathe In, Cool Kids and I'd Die To Be With You Tonight in. Good to see Anaconda, Roll Up Your Sleeves, Shower and Break Free up to new peaks.
Nice to see Sam Smith remain on top, hopefully he can stay there. And hopefully Broods can make top five, I have now identified which song on the album that is (actually I liked it enough to seek out the title) and see that it's got a video and is charting. Yay for it! Fast Car in the top ten is all sorts of awesome, although directly below Anaconda. A healthy rise for Swifty is nice and I was going to ask if Echosmith was something I should hear but it looks like I'll be forced to come Saturday anyway.
I thought this chart was really crummy but that's only really below the top 30, thanks to some neat debuts (2 weeks of Unearthed High in a row! ). Also Sam Smith has the longest consecutive run at #1 since starting this format. Feel free to re-enter whenever you want to clipping.
Wow, nice milestone for S(m)am! Even though I prefer Prayer In C and Jubel from the top 5 selections, nice to see it hold on for three weeks and I hope it can continue though Work Work will probably get it if it re-enters next week. Wow Anaconda in the top 10, so out of place. Nice rises for Shake It Off, Stolen Dance, Shower, Waves, Break Free, New Flame and Black Widow but ew LOTS (#Zacco). Nice debuts for The Preatures, Duke Dumont and AJR, and nice to have G.R.L. back in also.
Good placings of the debuts and nice re-entry for Sing. Nice rises for Every Other Freckle and Shower but plz stay away from the top 10 Shake It Off. Nice to see Arrows, Am I Wrong, I Will Never Let You Down and Freaks almost make it this week
Cool to see Sam Smith notch up that record, I think I'll be hoping he extends it since there is unlikely to be anything I prefer (random unexpected Scarecrow entry and #1 here aside). I haven't heard The Preatures song yet but I hope it's good and they get a yay anyway. Hoping Swifty can make the top ten. Awesome to see Missy Higgins debut well and I'm also pleased AJR made it and Ugly Heart re-entered.
I don't know a number of these things but I should at least start with new Preatures. Apparently INTOO is being re-released with A$AP Rocky adding a verse, they're obvs trying to get me more interested in it
I didn't have much of an idea where Blame would end up and I didn't expect it that high so yay even if it's partly due to it being a sucky AP for you. Nice for Centuries, Back To The Wall and Bang Bang also. I thought I'd actually have Dreamers ahead of you this week, but looks not. I'm glad it rose though and I like the new peaks for Won't Look Back, Anaconda, Weekend, Shower, Break Free and I'm Ready. And Lovers On The Sun actually dropped despite the suckiness so extra yays
Wow Smam holding on for so long. Lol but yes Taylor getting that jump! Also good improvements for Dreamers, Jubel, Won't Look Back, Boom Clap, Anaconda, Stay High, AATB, Flashed Junk Mind, Ghost, Usher/Nicki, Hideaway, Shower, Break Free, Waves, New Flame, Ugly Heart and I'm Ready. Nice debuts for Blame, Centuries and Bang Bang!!! Tbh I forgot that Don't Tell 'Em was still in the top 100 but yay for that almost there as well as Guts Over Fear, Arrows, Gaplin, All About You, Black Widow and One For The City.
Ouch at losing all those high up tracks, but some nice rises at least. Good to see Sam Smith still on top and the moves for Taylor Swift, GRL and AJR to new peaks as well as plenty of rebounds is nice. Liking the debuts for Missy, FOB and Lady Antebellum.
I like Two Bodies more than I'm Not The Only One so good to see it at #1. Nice to see Latch, the three Alt-J tracks and Roll Up Your Sleeves re-enter high, love the improvement for the latter!. Cool to see Changing debut too but I wasn't a huge fan of Scarecrow. Gross at Love More tbh. Cool to see Waves manage to rebound despite the influx of entries, but ouch Budapest, All About That Bass, Ghost, Cool Kids and Centuries.
Have not heard the new Flight Facilities yet but I generally don't mind them I think so good for them. Shame Sam's run is over but it was a great one. I've enjoyed what I have heard of the Alt-J album so far so I'll say yay to the re-entries there but it's especially awesome to see Scarecrow actually make it in, I didn't think it would. As I looked at the chart I was kind of hoping there would be nothing that moved up so I could make a silly comment that meant nothing but was still accurate, however then I came to Waves, a shame that that was the only thing to gain out of everything else that could have.
I haven't heard Two Bodies either as stated, but if it's as good as other stuff I've heard from FliFac or Emma, I may or may not appreciate it at #1. At least Sam had a good run there. Every Other Freckle is my favourite of what I've heard from Alt-J/triangle thing, so nice to see it leading the pack of his stuff, and good to see Latch, Roll Up Your Sleeves and Love More re-enter well. Literally nothing has improved this week so I can't say anything has risen too well but nevertheless the rise for Waves is cool. But otherwise nice to see Sigma and Alex & Sierra enter well, and Body Language enter well. Ouch Ariana though
Although I lost three of my top 5 and one song that was going to be top 5 this week but dropped out, overall the dropouts didn't affect my AP as much as it has yours. The re-entries up high are all really cool and I like the ones lower down for Happy Ever After and Bang Bang. That other one can die though plz. Great to see i, Glow, Bailando and When The Beat Drops Out debut. Till It's Gone wasn't bad but I have no idea whether I like it or not. The new peaks for Shell Shocked, Changing and I'm Ready are all cool, you need to fix their HP's though It's cool to see Heroes (We Could Be) make the almost there since I never would have expected that, it also makes my feel less ashamed of my debut for it. Also wow no You Ruin Me, such shade
Great to see The Preatures and Florence re-enter in the top five. Nice to see a new peak for I'm Ready but wow ARIA ditched a lot of your stuff this week! I haven't heard When The Beat Drops Out yet but it previewed promisingly enough.
I like Two Bodies, so nice to see it at #1. Great to see Dog Days Are Over and Dreamers re-enter straight back into the top 10 (haven't heard Somebody's Talking ftr, will probably like that) as well as debuts/re-entries for Ella, Enrique & co., Marlon, Ricki, Slayage Queens and JLo/Iggy. Lol Alesso
Oh, ouch! I hoped to like Kendrick more than I did so I'm not overly thrilled at it being #1 but I don't hate it at least. Perhaps it'll grow on me eventually like Swimming Pools (Drank) did, in which case I'll come back in 2016 and edit this post. (No, I won't remember to do that.) Lol that Waves is on the verge of getting a better peak now. Nice jumps for Taylor Swift and GRL and cool to see Fall Out Boy and Ed Sheeran back.
It looks like all of your top 10 will stay in the top 100 in the upcoming week so there's hope I guess. Nice for i jumping to #1 and Yellow Flicker Beat straight into the top 3. Great to see all the re-entries back in too. Lol Prayer In C, Waves and Turn Down For What, but cool to see Glow, Bailando, Blame, When The Beat Drops Out, Changing and Shower up.
Kendrick have a dream ofc. Nice to see Taylor Swift rebound, and I think the AJR peak is slightly off And yes thank you Alesso for not sampling what you easily could have sampled. umm Booty? Kill it with fire
Some of these entries are really surprising, specifically Shake It Off and Bailando in the top ten and Fergie debuting relatively well. Also Happy's longevity ......... anyway, hope Ed can debut with TOL soon!
Lorde for top, I enjoyed it so I hope it gets there. Nice to see Taylor Swift repeak, as well as AJR and the new one for GRL is cool too. Love seeing Drops Of Jupiter in there although naturally I would have liked it higher. I have decided I don't want Thinking Out Loud to make it in, although I'm all for Host Of Angels getting in (although it'll probably drop out). And Flo Rida, wow!
i still at #1 is cool, but looking forward to either Sunlight or Yellow Flicker Beat getting there next. Nice for L.A. Love (La La) scoring the top debut and Drops Of Jupiter and Heroes (We Could Be) debuting in the top 40 too. The former is way too low though. I'm genuinely surprised Titanium never made the less worthy pile last year and I'm very surprised to see it re-enter the top 40 this week. Go away other Guetta thing. Cool to see Bailando, When The Beat Drops Out, Changing, Shower and I'm Ready up to new peaks. Under Control in the almost there is a surprise, as is Thinking Out Loud. Even with the tolerable length edit I never thought it would've made it that far. Such a flop Flo Rida hatre lol. Also didn't expect Host Of Angels in. Also lol at the Animals thing, hopefully this is not a subtle way of hiding the fact that you don't dislike the Maroon 5 song (much like on 392's personal chart), I can't remember if you ever said whether you didn't mind it or not
Kendrick is awesome but Lorde is quite good too. I hate that Fergie title and by extension the song must sound crap too Loving the run for Shake It Off though.
I'm not sure how "almost there" classes as making it in considering that implies "there" is the destination, however I shall specify that I don't want it to make the top 40 here. I haven't heard the new #1 yet but since I wasn't especially fond of the old one let's go with yay! People usually go the other way and prefer something they don't like over something they don't know so I'll dare to be different. Nice to see Olly Murs debut and lolol Flo Rida made it, yay!
Sunlight is an awesome new #1, I do hope Yellow Flicker Beat has a chance though. All of the other debuts are higher than expected, but yay for the top 4 that aren't Sunlight. GDFR in is just lol. Play Ball on the other hand I expected higher but I didn't at all expect Host Of Angels to make the almost there
I haven't actually listened to the Foo Fighters song yet but I'll be glad they're in there anyway; where is rock after all. Also pleased to see Dangerous debut in the top ten, I enjoyed it more than I expected to. Poor Flo could only get one week.
Still an awesome #1 and top 3. Great to see Dangerous so high up, hope for a big improvement. Also cool to see Something From Nothing, Bump & Grind 2014, Outside and Can I Get A Moment? debut as well. Dynamite was borderline 3*/4* for me so it can get a yay too I guess. Must say though I didn't expect it to make it in. Lol GDFR already kicked out of the top 40. Take Me Over, Out Of The Woods and Heroes (We Could Be) all up one spot is coolness
Wonderland > Welcome To New York > Wildest Dreams if anyone was after the full fruits of my extensive Taylor Swift labour today Otherwise, it's 2014 and Bad Blood is still a flop

Damn, Sunlight loses #1 as I gave it a somewhat high debut this week. Good seeing Outside somewhat steady but my other favs drop much more. More Taylor Swift then expected. Last edited:
Now that I've heard Sunlight I probably approve of Banks on top in its place. Great to see a strong debut for San Cisco and I also like the Sheppard debut. Dangerous being the only thing to move up is fine with me.
Beggin For Thread at #1 is awesome. Lol at this mass Taylor stanning, both relative to my AP and in general. Maybe, Smile and Is It A Banger? all debuting is cool and it's good that you had a clean out this week too
I've heard Beggin For Thread a few times now and I like it but not near enough to do anything about it. Kendrick was snubbed it seems Good to see San Cisco enter nice and high, and I like Carmada as well.
Good seeing Outside move up, Lorde and Sunlight are OK so good seeing them steady, surprised at how high Ariana entered and good to see Blunty almost made it.
I prefer the rest of the top 5 but still a great #1. Love Me Harder Sunshine, Wicked Games, High and Stay High all in is great + I like the rises for Maybe, Can I Get A Moment? and Blank Space. Surprised I'm So Excited, Beg For It and When I Find Love Again almost made it in.
Shame to see Dangerous out of the top ten but nice to see Blank Space on the improve. Pleased to see Stay High back in and pleased to see Blunty in the next ten. I'm So Excited being there is a surprise though.
Nice debuts for the church related things in the top ten and Vance Joy lower down. Also liking the strong return for San Cisco and Blank Space gaining a spot.
Nice to see Dead Air and Take Me To Church so high although not unexpected plus The Heart Wants What It Wants in too. Good to see Sunlight back up to #2 and rises for Can I Get A Moment?, Outside, Wicked Games and Blank Space.
Watermät or Magician for next #1 please Anyway, even if it's Dead Air/RUN/Bailando/dropout impact; Hozier, Duk/Safia, Ariana/Weeknd, Carmada, Guetta, Taylor!!!!, Jess, Nicki and Selena moving up is all good. Uptown Funk, Ah Yeah So What, Rather Be and Ghost entering is cool also. Quite a strange almost there section you have there
Didn't notice how many weeks i had clocked up there at #1, nice. Would still prefer to see the rest of the top 5 there though. Good debuts for Detroit Vs. Everybody, Like I Can and Uptown Funk and I also like the three re-entries too. Ah Yeah So What though? Was hoping you'd be one to shun it so I like seeing Bullit, Take Me To Church, Love Me Harder, Maybe, Blank Space, Can I Get A Moment?, Outside, Wicked Games and The Heart Wants What It Wants all up this week.
I like the small moves for Hozier and Selena Gomez and the large jump for Blank Space of course. Great to see Sam Smith debut and I like the re-entries for Rather Be and Smile.
K Dot snatches the #1 reign record for the year, and certain to keep it with only 4 weeks left. George is lucky his 3 months late hit hasn't totally died on me in this time, but probably can't expect much longer

Good seeing Prayer In C, Jubel and Wicked Games move up and I hope that Lorde or Sunlight can get #1 over Kendrick. Surprised you like the new Veronicas track enough to be in the top half of the chart.
My #1 reign record for the year is High with 9 weeks, which won't be passed lol. Real Love, L.A. Love (La La), Talk Is Cheap, High, The Hanging Tree and Sweet Talk all in is great and it's good to see If You Love Someone almost there too. Good moves for Love Me Harder, Take Me To Church, Maybe, Blank Space, Dangerous, Can I Get A Moment?, Like I Can, Wicked Games, The Heart Wants What It Wants and Uptown Funk.
Hozier in the top five is awesome as is Blank Space surging into the top ten. Nice return for San Cisco and I'm also pleased Dangerous is back in there. Great debut for George Ezra, it's theoretically been in the 51-60 range of my chart for the past six or so weeks but I'm not sure if it'll get in. Nice to see One Direction debut too and Chet Faker re-enter though I was hoping that would be higher.
Good seeing Prayer In C steady, Jubel holding well, Wicked Games up and also a bit surprised at you liking AronChupa more then 50% of the ARIA Top 100.
As much as I like i, I hope Bullit can get to #1 next week. Not big on All I Want For Christmas Is You or Rot but yay for I'm And Albatraoz and Sugar Man. Nice new peaks for Blank Space, Real Love, Uptown Funk!!!, Wicked Games and The Heart Wants What It Wants.
Shame to see that either Church is not to be found within the top five, or that you're disobeying Hozier's wishes, but I like that Blank Space is almost in the top five now and I hope it makes it. Must be getting close to the main chart (the part that counts which I see anyway) by the looks of it which would be cool. Nice to see Mariah back for her timely appearance and George Ezra up a spot. Good little jump for One Direction there too.
Great to see Blank Space make the top five and Hozier back up a spot. Ed Sheeran debuting in the top ten is cool and just outside is cool too. While Ed has a good week it's a horror for Sam Smith! Nice to see Drown debut, amazing that I have it higher and seemingly like a BMTH song more than you do!
Yay Bullit! Nice to see Fade Out Lines, Make It Rain and One all debut. Nice to see new peaks for Love Me Harder, Uptown Funk, The Heart Wants What It Wants, I'm And Albatraoz and Sugar Man.
Style that high feels weird even though it is on your chart I'd much rather Bullit stay at #1. Good to see All Of The Pieces make it in as well as the new peak for Uptown Funk.
Go for #1 Swifty! Nice to see Night Changes still moving up in what seems a tough week to do that and Reigan debuting is surprisingly good too. I'm Not The Only One has had possibly the worst fortnight in the history of your AP; getting too high on the EOY?
@BZ lol, that wasn't even on my mind. It's probably one of few noteworthy hits here that actually has a chance of making my EOY, so I don't mind it picking up more points
Dec 28th
This is 'I don't have effective internet' version this week, but fortunately, not a week of much to note
At least your AP looks a bit more exciting than mine. Surprised at how high both the two highest Joe Cocker songs are but it's good to see them make it in. Faded and High re-entering the top 50 is cool too. I like seeing new peaks for Blank Space, Uptown Funk and The Heart Wants What It Wants.
Come on Swifty! Get that #1. Also nice to see her back in the top five with Blank Space. Hozier out of the top ten is a shame but that's a great jump for Night Changes. Good to see two Joe Cocker songs in there although I think the one that missed is my favourite of the three.
And here's that thing I post. I hope 2015 provides at least 2 major hits that I love that aren't old, because this was a non-contest Also thanks to the now-defunct instagrat rules which have provided some of the more interesting inclusions here

High stuff! But the thing I'm a little disappointed about is that 'Am I Wrong' is completely adrift of 'Stolen Dance' and 'Waves' which I note are side by side. That got me thinking and leads to my next post ...
Cool seeing Prayer In C so high, actually a spot higher then on mine! Also cool seeing Rather Be make the Top 10 and Jubel and Faded almost getting there. I don't know why but I never got into Magic strangely enough but good seeing Team up there too (It's in my 2013 EOY).
