Forum - Personal Charts: Your Charts - D Man's Personal Top 25 - 2015

A new year, and a new thread.

As per previous years, it will be a weekly Top 25, and will mostly be songs that appear on the ARIA chart. Every now and again I will stumble across a song on Channel [V], or similar, that will make the chart.

Enjoy

Good seeing The Veronicas up, hope they can be a #1 contender but sad to see Outside out of the Top 10.
Oh yes! Awesome to see "Up" debut. Hopefully that rises a lot next week!
Great to see Blank Space continue to reign on top and Night Changes just keeps growing and growing on me so I am loving the top two. Good moves also for The Veronicas, Nico & Vinz, Hozier, Sam Smith and George Ezra.
Not really a fan of Up or Something New but Sweet Talk is really good. Linger debuting last week is awesome too. Liking the improvements for Take Me Over, Take Me To Church, Uptown Funk, Like I Can and Real Love.
Like seeing that top two hold, and it's good to see Peking Duk, Mark Ronson & Ariana all still on the rise. I like that Olly debut more than I think I should, and I feel I need to hear the Axwell triangle Ingrosso song too because I'm hearing stronger endorsement for that than I'd expect

Thanks for the comments last week everyone. One Direction hit the top for the first time on my chart, while there are some big jumps for Sam Smith, Olly / Demi and Guy Sebastian. Setve Aoki and will.i.am are back, and James Bay is making his first appearance.

Sad to see Taylor lose the top spot, especially to them.

Loving the rises for Mark Ronson, Olly/Demi and Samantha (hopefully she can continue to rise).

Also, I'm liking Nico & Vinz rise to the Top 3 this week. I hope they reach #1 next week
I prefer Blank Space, but Night Changes is a great song too so I'm pleased it gets a run on top. Great jumps for Nico & Vinz, Sam Smith and Hozier in the top five and also good to see a gain for George Ezra. Great debut for James Bay.
Good to see Night Changes at No.1 and the rises for Take me to church, Uptown Funk, Real Love And Blame it on me
Yus great #1!! Love it! I hope it can hold off Nico & Vinz and Sam Smith at least. Great rise for Hozier, Olly Murs and Clean Bandit. I haven't decided if I like the James Bay track yet but I think I do.
And I evidently prefer Blank Space, but Night Changes is very good for One Direction so I'm quite happy to see it being well received! Seems to be a good week for Brits jumping into the top 10 haha.

Thanks for the comments last week everyone
Liking the new debuts this week but I'm loving how Olly Murs is going "Up" this week ! I'm a bit sad to see David Guetta & Calvin Harris almost leave the chart though.
A little surprised at Sam Smith's #1 but it's a nice song so good for it! Would love to see Hozier take over next, excellent to see it top three. Good moves also for Olly Murs and James Bay and great to see all three debuts, although especially Elastic Heart.
Just as I'm starting to get into Night Changes it's knocked off #1, though I prefer Like I Can so great to see that at #1. Great debuts this week and I also like the rises for Take Me To Church, Linger and Hold Back The River.
Great to see Like I Can, Take Me To Church, Up, Blank Space, In Your Arms, Real Love, Uptown Funk!, Linger, Pray To God, Take Me Over, Ah Yeah So What, Hold Back The River, Love Me Harder, Blame It On Me, Sunlight, Born To Get Wild, Style, Dangerous, Outside, and Elastic Heart all in this week!

Ooh, slightly worn out on Like I Can just from hearing it too much (like all his songs ), but a good song at heart! And haha, all three debuts as songs I perhaps charted slightly too soon for my own good, but all great songs!

Thanks for the comments guys!
Great #1! Awesome rises for Pray To God, Something New, James Bay, George Ezra and Style! Great to see Will Sparks, Night Changes and Take Me Over were big hits for you! I'm unfortunately not big fans of the debuts this week, hopefully next week will be better
Great #2 (and decent #1 ) . Haven't heard that Steve Aoki song yet but I have heard the other 24 songs and I love them all (especially Real Love). Hopefully, Clean Bandit can reach a new peak next week
Great to see Like I Can hold at #1, I hope it can keep Up from #1. Or better yet Pray To God for next #1! Good set of debuts this week even though I am a bit over Jealous now, plus Blame It On Me, Linger, Hold Back The River, Style and Elastic Heart all up to new peaks is pleasing too.
Sam Smith owning right now! I really hope Olly can scab a week at #1 though before Calvin & HAIM take over ... perhaps ...
Good rise for Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and Sia, and good to see all of the debuts but especially Ellie Goulding. I'm loving that track right now.
Nice to see Sam Smith still on top. The Olly song came on the radio here the other day and throughout the whole first verse I knew it was a song I'd heard and I was thinking how cool it was but I couldn't place it until the end of the chorus. So I guess that means I like it and I'll hope it gets to the top. Great jumps for Calvin/Haim and George Ezra, and lower down I like the moves for James Bay, Swifty and Sia.
Ooh, I've finally heard it, Something New is slightly not what I'd expected! Meanwhile I dig the fact that Pray To God & Style are on the way up.

[25] [24] [02] [24] Labrinth - Jealous

Running a smidge late this week, but here is my latest chart. Thanks for the comments last week
I heard FourFiveSeconds a while ago and I remember liking it but I don't quite remember how it goes Sad to see Sam Smith off the top spot but good to see PTG, Something New, RL and George Ezra all up instead! Good rise for James Bay too.
Great rise from Clean Bandit but I loving your #1 atm ! Also nice to see Rihanna debut but I'm a bit shocked to see Take Me Over fall a lot this week :O
Great to see Olly take the top spot. At the moment I like all of your top three but not quite enough to make my chart. Good jumps for George Ezra, James Bay, Taylor Swift and Sia. I liked the new Rihanna song much more than I expected to, so good to see it in.
Hope that #1 is knocked off ASAP by Pray To God! FourFiveSeconds is growing pretty quick so glad to see it make it in. Real Love, Hold Back The River, Style, Love Me Like You Do, Elastic Heart, Cheerleader and Dear Future Husband all on the rise is good to see.
Up has a really catchy chorus that keeps getting stuck in my head! Would also like to see Calvin Harris & Haim get their second #1s I might just like FourFiveSeconds too, has grown on me a bit in the past week.
Great to see Up, Pray To God (next #1? , Real Love, Something New, Take Me To Church, Blame It On Me, Blank Space, Born To Get Wild, Linger, Hold Back The River, In Your Arms, Style, Love Me Like You Do, Uptown Funk!, Elastic Heart, Ah Yeah So What, Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix), FourFiveSeconds, Take Me Over, and Jealous all in this week!

Thanks for the comments everyone
The Nights.
Excellent rises for Love Me Like You Do and Cheerleader, hope they can both keep going up!! Good to see Dear Future Husband move up and debuts for Kelly Clarkson and Ed Sheeran most of all. Is One his next single? If so, YUS!
Great rises for Blame it on me and Jealous
I'm a bit sad at Olly Murs losing the top spot but I'm pleased to Calvin Harris take out the top spot . A great small rise from Axwell as well

I'm also loving the three debuts this week. I'm hoping they rise next week
Nice to see Calvin/Haim hit the top this week and the jumps for George Ezra, Ellie Goulding, Taylor Swift, Omi and Rihanna are also pleasing. I'm sure you could guess that Ed has my favourite debut here, but I do like the other two somewhat as well.
Yay for Pray To God And I like seeing Taylor Swift & Rihanna + co. up too. It's interesting to see more debuts beyond the ARIA 50, and cool too because I rather like Heartbeat Song & One (and The Nights, to be fair).
Loving the #1 change, hope it stays there. Nice debuts for Heartbest Song and One and good rises for Blame It On Me, Love Me Like You Do, Style, Cheerleader, Elastic Heart, Dear Future Husband and FourFiveSeconds.

Another week, another chart! Thanks for the comments guys
Go The Nights although I was let down by Cruel and the rest of The Veronicas album in general tbh.
Oh yeah, great to see "Pray To God" & "Up" stay in their positions this week but I'm also liking the rises from Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor & Avicii
Nice to see the top two steady and Ellie into the top three. A strong jump for Style and I'm pleased to see Cheerleader make the top ten. I hope James Bay can still get there.
Obviously I'm all for Pray To God staying at #1 but would have no problem with Love Me Like You Do or Style getting there either, nice jumps!
Not really a fan of either of the debuts but good to see Love Me Like You Do, Style, Cheerleader, Heartbeat Song and Dear Future Husband up to new peaks.
Excellent rise for "Love Me Like You Do"! Interesting to see how its chart run will play out in the coming weeks. Also great to see "Like I Can" and "Real Love" in the top ten and "Blank Space" still in the chart.
Great jump for Ellie! Go go go!
Good to see all of those rises actually, Taylor, Omi, Meghan and Kelly are great. I like the Jessie J debut as well.

Apologies for the ridiculously late chart this week everyone, as well as the distinct lack of commenting on you charts. I'll try and catch up, but I am going on holiday for a couple of weeks, so we'll see how it goes. As always though, I promise to make it up to you!
Nice to see Pray To God still at #1, would be cool if both Love Me Like You Do and Style could get there in the next few weeks. Not a huge fan of this week's debuts although I do like them, more pleased with rises for Cheerleader, Heartbeat Song, Hold Back The River, Dear Future Husband, Elastic Heart and FourFiveSeconds.
Great to see Pray To God at #1, along with Love Me Like You Do, Style, Up, Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix), Something New, Born To Get Wild, Hold Back The River, Blame It On Me, Elastic Heart, Real Love, FourFiveSeconds, The Nights, Take Me To Church, 2 On, and Linger all in this week!

Nice run at the top for Pray To God, heading up what is a pretty great top 3! Ooh, late momentum for Sia, but also rather neat debuts this week.
Good seeing The Nights continuing to climb and also Cruel.
Nice top three this week and a good move for Omi into the top five. I'm happy to see James Bay has made the top ten and it's also good to see Sia, Rihanna and The Veronicas all up. Have you heard the solo Nate Ruess track yet? I wonder if it'll keep up his run of #1s here.
Week 09 2015

Thanks for the comments last week everyone. No I haven't BZ, but I will definitely be keeping an ear out for it!
Ellie at #1, great! And the top 3 is still the same songs as last week, so it's still great Ouch Up dropping just as it's starting to climb on the ARIA Chart, that's something I know all too well Is nice to see Tinashe & Fifth Harmony do well from their last week debuts.
Good seeing The Nights still moving up and Cruel too.
Fantastic to see Ellie take out the top spot! It's just such a good song! I must say last week had two brilliant debuts, good to see them both in, and now good to see them go up this week
Also yay for Cheerleader, Heartbeat Song, Dear Future Husband, Masterpiece and FourFiveSeconds (which is everything bar Avicii and the Veronicas wow) and good to see Iggy debut.
I don't mind seeing Ellie on top but I hope it's a quick stay. Nice jumps for Omi, The Veronicas and Rihanna.
Good rises for Love Me Like You Do, Cheerleader, Fourfiveseonds, The Nights, and 2 On, and great to also see Pray To God and Real Love still in.
Good to see Love Me Like you Do At No.1 we both have the same No.1 Song, Also Good Rises for Heartbeat Song And Masterpiece

It's ok everyone, I didn't fall of the face of the earth! I've been so busy since I came back from holidays. Unfortunately, my charts have taken the brunt of it. Thanks for all of the comments on my last posted chart. I'm aiming to leave comments on all of your charts over the next week I have links to the last few charts that I didn't post, and have the full latest chart posted. Thanks again everyone!
Great jump for Lean On and good to see upward movement for Zedd and CRJ. Liking the JB debut!! Hopefully this is the highest position for Bills.
Great to see Style on top and the jumps for Sugar and Do You Remember. The Derulo song isn't bad but my favourite debut is James Bay.
Well thank you for putting up your charts just in time for last week's ACI, and a new one for this week; I've missed your charts!

And it seems Style has done very well in the last month which is neat. A big jump for Major Lazer too who are fighting to get into my chart atm.

Thanks for the comments last week everyone
Not feeling Lean On at the moment so it's a shame to see Style dethroned. I doubt it'll get back there so perhaps I'm rooting for Derulo somehow. Nice to see James Bay sneak up a little and fantastic to see Vance Joy debut; Georgia is close to Riptide levels of excellence for me.
Yay for a quite ascent for Lean On but it looks like it has some equally fast moving challengers! Hope it can hold on. Fantastic to see King Kunta debut too.
Awesome #1! Good to see Style got there too. Good to see Trouble, Want To Want Me, Bills, I Want You To Know, I Really Like You, Sugar and Do You Remember all debuted in the time since I last commented and King Kunta debuting this week is cool too.
Great to see Lean On, Want To Want Me, I Want You To Know, Love Me Like You Do, FourFiveSeconds, Pray To God, Cheerleader, Up, King Kunta, Do You Remember, Let It Go, Georgia, Elastic Heart, and The Nights.

Another chart on time! Thanks for the comments last week peeps
Not a fan of See You Again but those other debuts are fantastic! Especially Hold Me Up. Want To Want Me at #1 is a surprise but I'm one of the few on the site who likes it so yay I guess. Nice to see I Want You To Know, King Kunta and Do You Remember all on the rise this week.
Go Vance Joy and Jarryd!
Ooh wow unexpected #1 there! It's not bad, but I'm not really enjoying it so much good rise for I Want You To Know and Do You Remember, also Let It Go and good to see King as the biggest debut of the week
Woah, interesting to see Jason Derulo take the top spot as well as having "Fight Song" rise a lot from last week . Also, liking those awesome new debuts (hoping Jess Glynne rises a lot )
Nice to see Derulo take over from Lean On this week, it's a pretty catchy song. Glad to see Cheerleader rebound a couple of spots and a strong gain for Jarryd James. Also pleased to see James Bay and Vance Joy with rises.
Excellent seeing Jason Derulo at No.1, Lean On, Heartbeat Song, I Want You To Know, Masterpiece, Love Me Like Yo Do, I Really Like You, Pray To God, Hold My Hand And Up
Oh dang but I suppose I could have expected it Actually though, Want To Want Me might rocket to the lofty heights of being my 2nd favourite JDR single ever! Great though for the Jess Glynne/Years & Years debuts, and King Kunta moving up fast!

Thanks for the comments everyone
Excellent to see Jarryd in the Top 10 and Jamie debut!
I'm happy that Jason Derulo is still at the top since that has grown on me (I only hope that Major Lazer doesn't take the #1 spot again ). Also nice to see Galantis debut. Hope they rise again next week
Nice to see Derulo hold down the top spot and great jumps for Jarryd James and Years & Years into the top ten. Loving the debuts for Walk The Moon and Jamie Lawson, I hope they both do incredibly well here.
Yay for Runaway (U & I) and Shut Up And Dance! Also really cool to see King Kunta, Do You Remember, King, Hold My Hand, I Really Like You and Hold Me Up all up this week.
At least Major Lazer are still holding strength but look at King Kunta go! My quick stat hunting suggests that's the first time we've both simultaneously shared a song in our top 5's since The Wire That'd be an amazing #1 so I'm heavily rooting for it! Also dig some of those big climbs for Jamesy & Jess, while Galantis is a very neat debut!

[25] [- -] [01] [25] Charlie Puth feat. Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye

Two debut this week, and both (main) acts are joining themselves within the chart. Jason DeRulo holds on to top spot, but there are some contenders applying some pressure. Thanks for the comments last week everyone. I'm going to be away for a couple of weeks, so I may be slack in posting, but I'll catch up when I'm back
Happy to see "What I did For Love" be higher than "Hey Mama" this week and also awesome for Jason Derulo to still be in the top position . Looks like a solid Top 5
Excellent climb for Lawson, Georgia up, Jarryd steady and hope that Fight Song can beat Derulo.
Nice to see Derulo on top again, my favourite of the top five at the moment. Awesome jump for Jamie Lawson and nice moves also for Years & Years, James Bay, Vance Joy and Walk The Moon.
Rooting for any variety of King to take the throne It's also nice to see Jess storm into the top 5, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes that Charlie Puth song
Hope King Kunta gets to #1 next! I don't like Marvin Gaye at all but Hey Mama debuting is very cool, plus I like the new peaks for Hold My Hand, King, Hold Me Up, Runaway (U & I) and Shut Up And Dance.
Great to see Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer, Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Jarryd James, Wiz Khalifa, Zedd, Jamie Lawson, James Bay, Galantis, Vance Joy, Walk The Moon, David Guetta, Ellie Goulding, and Charlie Puth all in this week!

Surprised to see Kendrick so high, I should give it an actual proper listen, it's had a decent run on the NZ chart at least and we tend to enjoy the same songs. In line with that, great jump for Hold My Hand, King and See You Again, and good to see a massive rise for Wasn't Expecting That. Liking the debut for Hey Mama as well, although that song just gets stuck in my head annoyingly. And wow I just realised this chart is almost three weeks old, oh well it still looks fresh!

I'm back from holidays, so the charts return too! Thanks for all of your comments while I was away - you have been rewarded with three charts this week! I will aim to comment on your charts in the coming days
Excellent to see Jamie doing so well while you were gone and Photograph enters.
Great to see your chart back! Best one of the year so far too, fantastic to see Walk The Moon make it to the top spot. Notch up another common #1 for us (though not at the same time) which is surprisingly the first one of the year. While it's awesome to see Jamie Lawson so high as well, I hope he's stuck at two because I want a good run on top for Walk The Moon. Great to see Sia, Hozier and Ed Sheeran all debuted in your absence and liking the gains Years & Years and Vance Joy made.
Sad to see Kendrick lose the top spot, but I'm glad to see Jamie Lawson, Years & Years, Wiz/Charlie, Charlie/Meghan, Grace, Guetta, Tori Kelly, Deorro, Hozier, and Ed Sheeran up this week!

Yay King Kunta getting to #1 and Shut Up And Dance there this week. Hoping Shut Up And Dance can hold off Wasn't Expecting That. Good to see debuts for You Don't Own Me, Big Girls Cry, Nobody Love, Five More Hours and Someone New over the past few weeks and rises for King, You Don't Own Me, Big Girls Cry, Hey Mama, Nobody Love and Five More Hours this week.
And I've been waiting for weeks to say how delightful it has been for Kendrick to be #1! And for that matter, Deorro/Tori debuting and making solid gains this week. Pleasing that Years & Years are still on the rise too!

Excellent to see Birds enter and Photograph up. The #1 is OK but I hope Jamie can beat it soon.
See You Again in the Top 5 is also a good thing.

A second week on top for Walk The Moon is fantastic and hopefully there are plenty more to come. Great to see Jamie remain in second place and Sia hit the top ten. Also nice moves for Hozier and Ed Sheeran and great debuts for Kodaline and Birds of Tokyo.
Great to see shut up & dance at No.1, also good to see see you again, hold my hand, want to want me, big girls cry, lean on, runaway, five more hours, hold me up, i want you to know and Anchor
At least the sudden drop from #1 last week wasn't a trend Rooting for Charlie to potentially overtake himself and for Nobody Love to crack that top 10!

Thanks for the comments last week everyone. Here is a new number one for your to feast your eyes on!
Same #1!!! Also good seeing Birds up and Ed steady. Your best chart of 2015 so far.
I hope the #1 changes quickly. As long as it isn't Marvin Gaye It's nice to see Tonight Again debut as well as Big Girls Cry, Someone New, Hey Mama and Anchor on the rise.
Great to see Taylor Swift and David Guetta at new peaks. Also nice to see You Don't Own Me, Five More Hours and Tonight Again too.
I quite like Wasn't Expecting That so it's nice to see as a #1, but since I much prefer Shut Up And Dance I am somewhat disappointed. I do hope Walk The Moon can get back there and this can be one of those epic battles you sometimes have! Also liking the gains for Sia, Hozier, Kodaline and Birds Of Tokyo.
Ooh, I'll pace a bit forward and say I hope Bad Blood can get to be the next #1, that's a nice jump along the way! On the other hand a lot of my favourites seem to be in the other direction, but as a positive, both debuts were quite likeable!

Tight on the top again this week, but there are some decent moves lower down. Thanks for the comments
Fantastic #1, and I actually like that entire top three, unfortunately that T-Swizz is gonna break it next week. Maybe ... good rise for Hozier, Kodaline, Tori and BoT, and good to see Little Mix debut!
Same #1!!! [2] Also cool seeing Birds and Photograph up and since I only started liking it in the past couple of weeks cool that Fight Song managed a peak of #2. Also good debut for Conrad.

Love those top two although I'd still prefer them in the other order. Though bad Blood is okay and I like Someone New, I hope they go no higher than #3. Kodaline and Ed with those awesome rises into the top ten are the ones I'm hoping to see strong peaks for eventually, great moves for now! Nice jump also for Birds of Tokyo and great to see Little Mix debut.
Great to see Jamie Lawson, Taylor Swift, Hozier, Kenrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Wiz Khalifa, Tori Kelly, Years & Years, Jess Glynne, Birds of Tokyo, Deorro, Grace, Guy Sebastian, Major Lazer and Vance Joy all in this week!

Come on Bad Blood! Good week with Photograph & Nobody Love getting into the top 10 too. I am also one of those people who rather likes the Little Mix song, so that's good too.
Looks like Bad Blood will be the next #1 but I'm hoping Shut Up And Dance can get back there. Great to see Black Magic debut and the rises for Someone New, Nobody Love, Anchor and Tonight Again.

[25] [25] [11] [12] Vance Joy - Georgia

Walk The Moon get back to the top, but it is a very tight top five this week, so who knows what will happen next week! Little Mix and Conrad improve on their debuts from last week, while it's all the 5s for Hozier. Thanks for the comments erryone
Yay Shut Up And Dance. Hope it can stay there until Someone New or something better gets to #1. Great to see Ghost Town debut and new peaks for Hey Mama, Anchor, Five More Hours and Black Magic.
Yay, Anchor in the Top 10, makes up for Jamie losing #1 + Photgraph and Start Again up is is also a very good thing and Vance survives another week.
That's what I was hoping for! Great to see Walk The Moon back on top, well deserved. Hopefully they can hold on, although I would not mind Kodaline taking over, nice rise this week. Or I'd be quite happy for Photograph to take it too obviously, keep moving up! Nice jumps also for Birds of Tokyo and Little Mix.
OK but for real how much is BZ paying you on the side? Bad Blood still on the up though! And Little Mix making a handy climb for that matter.

@Hijinx, it would appear that what BZ was paying me on the side wasn't as much as what you did this week T-Swizzle (as she likes to be called) scores her fourth number one from her 1989 album, which I must say is pretty impressive. Off the top of my head, the only other act to have done this was fun. a couple of years ago. She needs to be careful though, as Ed is knocking on that door! Lower down, Rita Ora and Avicii are back, while Major Lazer and DJ Snake knock out their previous collaboration with a song each. Thanks for the comments last week everyone.
Excellent rise for Ed, hope he can beat T Swizzle soon. Too bad Jamie dropped 4 spots but am glad Birds and Conrad got good increases and Fight Song gets another week in.
Not huge on Bad Blood but that's pretty impressive for Taylor at least. Great debuts this week and I also like the rises for Anchor, Black Magic and Ghost Town.
Damn, you upped your rates and didn't tell me!? While it's a shame to see Walk The Moon dethroned, and probably for good, it's hard to be disappointed when Photograph looks like a very strong chance at the top spot next week, what a rise! Nice moves for Birds Of Tokyo and Little Mix down lower too.
I pay more for not nearly the same satisfaction? A sham! I mean it's cool to see Bad Blood continue the run of T-Swizz #1s! But also I like the speedy jump for Little Mix, and the addition of Major Lazer & DJ Snake separately...in the mix
Ooh not a huge fan of the top two, great to see Anchor move up though and also Black Magic (YAY). Cool debut for Poison, Powerful and You Know You Like It
Week 26 - 150628

[24] [24] [14] [02] Rachel Platten - Fight Song
[25] [- -] [01] [25] Robin Schulz feat. Ilsey - Headlights

And just like that, we have hit the halfway point of the year! The battle of the besties see Ed knock Taylor off this week. Meanwhile, at the other end of the chart, Meghan, John, The Weeknd and Robin Schultz are back. Thanks for the comments everyone

Your #1 is slowly growing on e with the more I hear it. It may be another breakthrough song for ed on my chart. Great to se Walk The Moon and Little Mix in the Top 10. Good to see Adam moving up. and Rachel hanging on for dear life. LOL
Excellent #1, almost as good as Jamie was. Also cool to see Headlights enter, Fight Song live again and Anchor steady.
Fantastic to see Photograph take over the top spot, another shared #1 for us and at the same time too; excellent! I hope it can hold for a decent run there. Even though it's at the expense of Walk The Moon, I like the new peaks for Kodaline and Hozier, and Little Mix moving strongly into the top ten is cool too.
Great to see Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Hozier, Birds of Tokyo, Jamie Lawson, Adam Lambert, Major Lazer, Kendrick, Qiz Khalifa, Tori Kelly, DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge, Avicii, Years & Years, Meghan Trainor, Deorro, The Weeknd, and Robin Schulz all in this week!

This is some intense bidding war But incidentally I perhaps nearly like Photograph as much as I like Bad Blood so that's something. Also Little Mix and now Major Lazer are scooting along nicely! Aaaaaaand I dig seeing The Weeknd debut too!
I probably like Photograph more than Bad Blood so that's cool I guess. Can't Feel My Face debuting is awesome while I like Headlights too so yay. Good rises for Black Magic, Poison, Ghost Town, Powerful and You Know You Like It.
Sad to see Bad Blood lose the top spot but that's made up for with the debuts of The Weeknd and in particular Meghan/John. Loving the rises for Little Mix and DJ Snake/AlunaGeorge too.

Good seeing Ed remain on top for an extra week, Birds
still going up, Headlights up and Are You With Me enter.
It's great to see many of my faves make #1 in the past, especially the Taylor tracks & Lean On, hopefully Black Magic can inch up just a bit further to join them! Anchor, Poison, You Know You Like It, Powerful, LIGLY, Can't Feel My Face, Headlights, Cheyenne & Not Letting Go gaining upward movement is also great and the debuts for Lost Frequencies and Galantis.
Great to see Ed got a second week on top but even though I quite like Kodaline it's a shame he lost it after that. Potential return to the top? Probably not with the fall to three. Nice debuts for Derulo and Galantis in the last two weeks and continued rises for Little Mix, Conrad Sewell and Birds Of Tokyo.
Yay Black Magic, hope it goes to #1 on your next chart. Great to see debuts for Not Letting Go, Cheyenne and Peanut Butter Jelly over the past two weeks as well as rises for Anchor, Poison, You Know You Like It, Powerful, Can't Feel My Face, Cheyenne and Not Letting Go.
Ooh keep scooting along Little Mix! And DJ Snake has made some excellent progress in the last 2 weeks too. Cool in particular to have Tinie Tempah & Galantis debut too.
Great to see Anchor, Bad Blood, You Know You Like It, Shut Up & Dance, Can't Feel My Face, Waiting For Love, Headlights, Not Letting Go, Are You With Me & Peanut Butter Jelly
Keep on going Little Mix, Conrad, BOT and The Weeknd. Obviously an epic year for Taylor on your charts. I'm quite liking 'Bad Blood' now.

Thanks for the comments team. I will get around to commenting on your charts through the week. Also, for anyone interested, my mid year has been posted here: http://www.australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&id=44891&pages=
Great to see You Know You Like It get to #1 last week but shame Black Magic couldn't. Great to see Do It Again and Wings debut in the past three weeks and rises for Cheyenne, Peanut Butter Jelly, Not Letting Go and Wings this week. Pity it looks like Can't Feel My Face has peaked though.

Also, great to see Style #1 on your mid-year and Pray To God, Heartbeat Song, King Kunta, Want To Want Me, Shut Up And Dance and Lean On (same position as on mine!) all top 10 too. Also great to see Real Love, Hey Mama, Do You Remember, Bills, Nobody Love, Linger and Uptown Funk amongst others in the top 50.

Good to see the tracks Headlights, Are You With Me and Start again doing well over the past few weeks and good to see Jamie surviving another week. Also really cool to see Jamie, Fight Song, Do You Remember, Photograph, The Nights and Anchor all on your EOY Top 50!

Nice to see Kodaline back on top after a brief stint missing. Great to see Pia Mia and Delta debut in the past few weeks and nice rises for Conrad Sewell to a peak of two, Jason Derulo and Galantis.
So much change happening! Most prefer the Week 30 chart because yay for DJ Snake sneaking the top spot briefly, and The Weeknd making the top 5. Pretty alright to see Lost Frequencies & Jason Derulo in the top 5 this week too though, and Tinie/Galantis making nice moves.

Who wants a months worth of charts? If you answered yes, then today is your lucky day! I have been super slack posting, although I try to at least archive them in the members area if anyone if ever curious. Thanks for the comments for the last few charts team
Cool seeing Are You With Me, Wings, Run Away With Me and Ain't Nobody achieve success over the past month.
Great to see Sia, Lost Frequencies, Galantis, Delta Goodrem, Years & Years, Taylor Swift, Vance Joy, Felix Jaehn, DJ Snake, The Weeknd, Nelly, Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, and Ed Sheeran.

I want a month's worth of charts! Great to see it end with Sia on top, such a quick ascent for her! Along with Sia, I'm pleased to see Vance Joy, Taylor Swift and Years & Years debut in the meantime. Also good to see strong peaks were achieved by Delta and Derulo. Next time you're missing, I'll have to check the archives, I didn't think of doing that.
Always watching the archives

But that still means that Sia getting to #1 is a surprise to me! And all for Run Away With Me going into the top 10; I don't know which of us it'll peak higher for! On a similar note, love how much damage Years & Years have done
Lots of good debuts but particularly good to see Run Away With Me and How Deep Is Your Love debut! Disappointed Peanut Butter Jelly looks to have stalled at #2 but great that it managed to get so high. Pleased with rises for Shine, Wildest Dreams, Fire And The Flood, Run Away With Me and Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better) too.

Thanks for the comments last week everyone, You are rewarded with an on time chart
Cool seeing Carly as high as top 5 now and the rise for Felix too.

Also lol at not being able to fit Downtown to 1 line.
Go Carly Rae! Definitely my fave in your top five, but they're all pretty good tracks good to see Ain't Nobody hit the top ten, and I like all of the songs that rise to a degree. New James Bay will be one I need to check out, and great to see Jess debut.
Great to see Sia remain on top, although Shine has grown on me a lot lately and I wouldn't mind seeing it make the top either. Swifty top three is also nice to see. Downtown features too many people. I haven't heard that James Bay song yet but I expect to like it.
Shine outpeaking King yay! Now the next step to complete it all would be the #1 spot But of course I would take no issue at all with Run Away With Me getting there instead! Good on R. City getting the biggest climb, that one continues to grow on me.

Awesome to see Downtown at #1! Another common #1. Also great to see Jamie Lawson, Nelly, Felix Jaehn, Taylor Swift, Years & Years, Rubens, Vance Joy, Jess Glynne, Lost Frequencies, Robin Schulz, and Sia all in this week!

Great to see Run Away With Me made #1. I'm getting sick of Downtown quickly thanks to Spotify but I still like it so nice to have it at #1 I suppose. Debuts for Hoops, Easy Love, Today's The Day, Sugar and On My Mine are good to see and also like seeing Don't Be So Hard On Yourself on the rise.
Even though it was brief, I'm very glad Carly got a stint at the top! I'm not even too mad with her getting overtaken by what seem to be my favourite James Bay/Jamie Lawson singles. Nice to have Sia debut this week too.
Really cool to see Carly get to the top and also Felix, Jamie and Rubens get new peaks over the past 3 weeks. Hoping Jamie can get a #1 peak soon.
Great to see debuts since I last commented for The Rubens, Sia, Pink and especially Jamie Lawson. Nice to see Jamie has risen especially quickly and I hope he can get to the top. I really need to get to hearing that James Bay song though.
Good to see Wildest Dreams, Follow Me, Hoops, Don't Be So Hard On Yourself, Are You With Me, Peanut Butter Jelly and Sugar

It has been over two months since I've posted a chart, so it is time to play catch up. To keep you in the loop, my wife and I are expecting our first child in March 2016, so my weekends have been spent getting the house set up and shopping for cots, prams and car seat. Yes, I have certainly entered a new chapter of my life. My love of music and the charts is still as strong as ever, but the time I have for my own charts is far less than I would prefer. I am not sure whether I will be able to continue my charts next year, but we shall see how we go. I'll try and post my charts in a timely manner for the rest of the year, but given my track record for 2015, anything is possible...
Cool to see Ahead Of Myself get 2 runs at the top while you were gone plus Birds, Rudimental Ed, Duke Dumont and Naughty Boy all achieve success.
Welcome back, and congratulations on the upcoming arrival! I did remember to check your profile page for your charts a few times this time around, so I had seen some of them. It's great that Jamie Lawson, The Weeknd and Adele all managed some time on top. On the latest chart it's nice to see Duke Dumont, Birds Of Tokyo and One Direction all on the way up.
Ah I had no idea just how busy you've been! Congrats on all the news and it all makes me more impressed at your consistent chart updating along the way! Super pleased as well to have The Weeknd & Disclosure get to #1 recently! And as well as that, Justin/Sia/Duke/Drake doing well especially.

Ocean Drive for the next #1! Also glad Runnin' and Birds are going up too.
Great to see Ocean Drive closing in on the top spot, I hope it gets there. Stone is growing on me, so I'm pleased for the Cyrus rise this week. Glad also to see Birds Of Tokyo and One Direction moving up. Great to see Bieber debut this week, I think it's already just about my favourite song of his, hope it does well for you.
Great #1! Love that track. Although a shame to see Hello lose it so quickly! Nice rise for Bang MY Head, Perfect and Middle and good to see Love Yourself debut
Really like this top 5 at the moment Nice also to have DJ Snake picking up momentum (he's so close to the ACI that this might just do it ), and I'm surprised I quite like the Sigala track.
Since I last commented, good to see The Hills, Hello, Sorry and Magnets have made it to #1. Great seeing Bang my Head, Middle, Hotline Bling, Sweet Lovin', Love Yourself and Dessert charting too

Yay Ocean Drive is #1! Also good climb for Runnin'.
Great to see Duke Dumont take the top spot. Hope he can score a second week. Nice jump for Bang My Head, as well as Cyrus, One Direction and Justin Bieber. Fantastic to see Adele debut with another stellar song, and The Trouble With Us is good too.
Ocean Drive at #1 is great! When We Were Young, Levels and The Trouble With Us debuting is really good stuff too. Liking the new peaks for Bang My head, Middle, Focus, Love Yourself and Sweet Lovin' also.
Nicely done for Ocean Drive! Happy to see Naughty Boy still on the way and DJ Snake making quite a jump there. Cool Adele/Nick Jonas debuts too; both #41-#80 peakers for me.

Well, we made it to the end of the year. And with a timely chart too! Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to comment on my charts and for your patience during times of sever slackness on my behalf. I will be posting my Top 25 EOY following this chart, and the Top 100 will be posted in the communal thread. Happy New Year to you all

Keep slaying Ocean Drive and also good seeing Birds continuing to climb.
Look forward to that EOY.

Great to see Duke Dumont still on top and wow Cyrus is moving fast! Very nice move for Bieber into the top ten, and also good to see Birds and Adele rising. Elle King debuting is pleasing also.
Yay for Middle jumping into the top 10 and When We Were Young & Levels into the top 20. Curious what will be the next #1 as there are some interesting contenders!
Good to see Broken Arrows and Ex's And Oh's debut. And I'm liking the rises for Bang My Head, Stand By You, Middle, Lose Yourself, When We Were Young, Levels and The Trouble With Us too.
Awesome positions for the biebs, Sia, Adelex2 and Nick Jonas
Looking forward to your EOY, but nice to see DJ Snake hit the top ten and Adele move up Also yay for Elle King debuting.
Thank you for your patience. Here it is...

D Man's Top 25 of 2015

Another year has been and gone, and it has been quite an enjoyable one - personally and musically. I love EOY charts of any variety really, so I always look forward to this time of year.

A reminder: I use the triangular system to calculate the points, and then the points are multiplied by the amount of weeks the song was in my chart. This way a song with longevity is rewarded in a similar way to a song that hits the top.

144 songs appeared on my chart this year (up 6 from last year), and here are the top 25...

[01] Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Eric Nally, Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee & Grandmaster Caz - Downtown
HP:01 WI:17* Pts:59908
It took me a week or so to hear this when I first saw it making moves on the iTunes chart, and I fell in love with it. This is my earworm of the year - I continuously find myself singing this in my head. I quite like the musical layers and the changes in vocals. So much fun!

[02] Kodaline - The One
HP:01 WI:16 Pts:53840
Easily the surprise hit of the year, and up until the other week, it was also going to be the surprise EOY #1. Alas, that is not the case. Everyone knows that I'm a sucker for a decent ballad, and this is one of them. A beautiful track that I still enjoy now, although I don't listen to it anywhere near as much as I should.

[03] Jamie Lawson - Ahead Of Myself
HP:01 WI:16* Pts:51792
If there was an award for it, Jamie would probably pick up New Artist of the year, just missing out on having two tracks in the top five. While I can understand that his style of music isn't everyone's cup of tea, I do enjoy a song that has a narrative. Unoffensive and enjoyable.

[04] Walk The Moon - Shut Up + Dance
HP:01 WI:17 Pts:49453
I was fairly confident that Macklemore was going to take out line honours, but before I worked out the numbers, this was my guess for number two. But, here we are at number four. A fun and catchy track, with the right mix of electro pop with rock(ish) undertones. A fight for top spot with Jamie Lawson occurred during its run, but it gets the last laugh on the EOY chart. I am yet to hear anything further from Walk The Moon; I hope they don't end up in one hit wonder territory.

[05] Kendrick Lamar - King Kunta
HP:01 WI:16 Pts:43280
I got a bone to pick... Well, not really. I try not to stick to a certain style of music and while my tastes tend to be towards the Top 40, I also try not to discriminate. This track is one of those left-field songs that doesn't necessarily fit the typical mold, but it is so damn funky. Give me some well written verses and a fun beat and I'm sold!

[06] Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That
HP:01 WI:16 Pts:42672
Taking the "Small Bump" approach with a bit of a twist at the end, Jamie burst into my chart with this storytelling track. I will admit that I wasn't expecting "Ahead Of Myself" to be ahead of this track (so many puns!), but having two tracks in the top ten is a decent feat in itself.

[07] Taylor Swift - Style
HP:01 WI:15 Pts:42555
Oh, Taylor. I fell in love with her this year. I'm not usually an album kind of guy, but I gave 1989 a spin and it was my go to album in 2015. Style may have taken the honours as the top Taylor song, but if the points for "Blank Space" were combined (2014 + 2015), it would actually overtake "Style'. Smooth, classy pop song.

[08] Olly Murs feat. Demi Lovato - Up
HP:01 WI:15 Pts:39255
It's not often that I get into a track before it hits the charts, but after hearing this a few times on Channel V, I couldn't get it out of my head. A song of perspectives that weave together as well as Olly and Demi's vocals.

[09] Ed Sheeran - Photograph
HP:01 WI:16 Pts:39248
It wouldn't be an EOY chart without Ed Sheeran! After last year's strong placing for "Thinking Out Loud", Ed followed with another beautiful ballad which shot to number one on my chart. I feel that his slower songs are stronger and more well written, which shows on my charts. *Boring anecdote alert* This song has also provided many a discussion for my wife and I about the pronunciation of "sixth"...

[10] Calvin Harris feat. Haim - Pray To God
HP:01 WI:13 Pts:37739
Calvin has always been hit and miss with me. He may have scored his first ARIA number one with "How Deep Is Your Love" (a track that I like, but don't love), but for me his best track of the year is this collaboration with Haim. I just found this song so cool and complimentary to both their sounds. An added bonus was to see Haim back in my chart!

[11] Kelly Clarkson - Heartbeat Song
HP:03 WI:14 Pts:37660
Last year, the top 15 of the year were made up of songs that peaked at number one, but this year it is only the top 10 as Kelly Clarkson comes in to spoil that party! A song that I was surprised didn't have a greater impact on the ARIA chart, I got caught up in the catchy (some would say annoying) chorus. It was fun to have Kelly back, even if it was only for this track.

[12] Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do
HP:01 WI:15 Pts:36840
A song can be benefited or hindered by constant airplay, and for me, this track benefited from it. Hearing it almost everywhere durring the height of the 50 Shades film, Ellie's unique voice was hard to escape. One of her better tracks that I think really suits her voice. I hope this becomes one of those soundtrack songs that you hear years later and get to enjoy all over again.

[13] Conrad Sewell - Start Again
HP:02 WI:15 Pts:33150
Oh, another ballad. Spending almost 4 months in my chart, this song was the track that surprised me with its longevity. I have quite enjoyed the freshness that Conrad has brought to the pop scene and I hope he continues to release quality music in the new year.

[14] Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me
HP:01 WI:14 Pts:32830
If, in the future, someone asked me to define the sound of 2015 in one song, this would probably be it. Quite smooth, and really simple to sing along to, this sub 3 minute track hit the top spot and had a decent run.

[15] Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood
HP:01 WI:14 Pts:30114

Arguably the most successfully marketed song of the year: average album track remixed to include the year's "it" guy, complimented with a series of teaser instagram posts, culminating with a video premiere at the Grammys. Yes Taylor, you and your team turned a song that I liked (not loved) into a personal chart topper. It would become her 4th from the 1989 album. Well played.

[16] Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me
HP:01 WI:13 Pts:29718

I still enjoy this! Many called it generic, but I actually thought it was a slight departure from his usual offerings (which I'm usually a fan of anyway). I don't mind a bit of falsetto and some layered beats.

[17] Sia - Alive
HP:04 WI:14* Pts:27790

While I'm not surprised to see Sia in the top 20, it isn't with her chart topping "Fire Meet Gasoline". A beneficiary of a solid chart run, this has some of the most unique vocals that only Sia could pull off. I'm also a sucker for a track that has some quieter moments that build to something powerful.

[18] Little Mix - Black Magic
HP:02 WI:13 Pts:27313

In the future, I can see this being one of those guilty pleasure songs that I like just because it was a bit of fun (a la B*witched's Cest La Vie). I mean, it's not going to win any awards for lyrical content or anything like that, but it does win a spot in my top twenty!

[19] Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat. MØ - Lean On
HP:01 WI:13 Pts:27183

A fresh sound for my ears this year, this song didn't take long to bullet to number one. I still can't put my finger on what it is that makes it so appealing.

[20] Rachel Platten - Fight Song
HP:02 WI:14 Pts:26964

Unlucky not to hit the top spot, Rachel Platten did make an impact on my chart with her power of one anthem. I did always feel as though by weaving wrecking ball into the lyrics, she was riding Miley Cyrus' coattails, but I don't have a multi platinum record...

[21] Nelly feat. Jeremih - The Fix
HP:03 WI:13 Pts:26923

So, 2015 was Marvin Gaye's revival year... sort of. Nelly has a way of releasing some very poppy urban tracks, although the lyrics are quite, er, descriptive. I'm not a fan of Jeremih, but he does compliment Nelly well.

[22] Disclosure feat. Lorde - Magnets
HP:01 WI:11* Pts:26378

It took me a while to chart this track, but when I did, it eventually made it to the top spot. It was great to have Lorde back in the chart with something a bit more uptempo, as I prefer those tracks over her slower ones.

[23] DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It
HP:01 WI:14 Pts:26292

Surprisingly, DJ Snake scored a second number one this year with this track. While I enjoy the track, it did benefit from a fairly quiet period on my chart. I'm more of a fan of the music of this one than the vocals, not that they're bad by any means.

[24] Carly Rae Jepsen - Run Away With Me
HP:01 WI:13 Pts:25779

Carly charted strongly with her debut track a few years ago, and I had pretty much had her pegged for a one hit wonder. And despite its strong placing on my chart, it didn't impact the ARIA chart very much, so she is still sitting in that one hit wonder territory for many. One of the beneficiaries of a track that was given a chance on music video channels, I would regularly stumble across it and really began to enjoy it.

[25] Jessie J - Masterpiece
HP:02 WI:14 Pts:25634

This song came on the other day while I was writing this commentary and I almost turned it off. And the I heard the chorus and I remembered why I like it. The verses are pretty average, but it obviously hit a chord enough to chart strongly throughout the year.
