http://kworb.net/popau/
The most convenient website to use for obtaining the current Australian iTunes chart (it however only updates at certain times), featuring easy to read pop bar number information for the top 100. You can also access other countries' charts using the drop down menu near the top of the page.

http://livepopbars.com/
Another website that provides top 100 pop bars and, in contrast to Kworb, updates in realtime and is perhaps most useful for its top 1500 iTunes chart.

http://itunescharts.net/
Daily archive of the top 100 iTunes charts that, for Australia, has been running from July 2010 onwards and also contains individual pages for each top 100 charter that displays daily chart runs.

iTunes AU #1's Tallyboard
(This list refers to the songs that were at the top position at the end of each given day, hence 'official' - see the next table for those having made #1 on iTunes without ever completing the day)

COME ON AND SLAM, AND WELCOME TO THE THREAD

luckily the Space Jam soundtrack isn't on iTunes or Spotify so we need not worry about this thread or my post blocking Firework from #1 when it's ready. But in saying that, the score is on there and James Newton Howard was in the top 5 at the start of the old thread, he's hungry for more I'm sure

Edit: Drapht is also #63 at the moment and could strike at any moment for the same reason.

Bad Blood is now down to 75% but also has the second version which bumps it up to 90%

*insert rant about how annoying it is that Start Again is #1 when Hold Me Up didn't do anywhere near as well*

Also notable is that Fight Song is back into the top 10 + the following:
#13 Waiting For Love
#14 + #56 Like I'm Gonna Lose You (about #10 combined)
#37 Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)
#43 No One
#44 Poison
#52 Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow
#59 Bad Girls
#64 Can't Feel My Face
#85 U Mad
#100 Cool On Fire
#104 Electric Body
#106 Not Letting Go
#116 Are You With Me
#150 Yeah Boy

Oh and Black Magic is #5 now too, yay

Firework is clearly just biding it's time until july 4th when BAM it'll be #1 and it shall be proved that jinx is indeed the wise prophet that we all believed and know he is and the world shall finally understand.
^ this guy gets it.

In truth though it does tend to re-enter that week
Conrad Sewell's 'start again' is #1 and seth sentry is #1 on the albums chart
So now the #1 album has changed 10 times this tracking week

Fight Song #5 lolz
Wow, Part 23

So much Sewell in the Top 3.

13 + 53. Meghan Trainor - Like I'm Gonna Lose You (feat. John Legend) (#6 combined, and close to 0.2% away from #5)
24. DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It
28. Parkway Drive - Vice Grip
29. Jason Derulo - Cheyenne
37. The Weeknd - The Hills
39. RITA ORA - Poison
41. Armin van Buuren - Another You (feat. Mr. Probz)

136. Casey Hurt - Mended Souls
142. Major Lazer - Be Together (feat. Belle Wilde)
167. Charles Hamilton - New York Raining (feat. Rita Ora)

'Bad Blood' has lost the top spot on the Music Video charts to 'Wear Em Out'.
I haven't looked in a while, but for something that is usually around the #800 mark, Party Rock Anthem is nowhere to be seen in the top 1500 Sexy and I Know It is top 1200 though.
Like I'm Gonna Lose You main version at #10 but combined with its other version is at #3!

Great to see both LIGLY and Black Magic in the top 5/10. Two of my favourite tracks of the year so far doing well is great!
top of iTunes has been very busy tonight!

Fight Song #3
Like I'm Gonna Lose You #7
Powerful #8

and Florence is back at #1 on albums which makes for 11 lead changes to end this week
#42 Headlights.
#49 Vice Grip. (Ouch, down 21 spots).
I'm surprised it's still that high to be honest

Muse or Seth should have released this week since it's so dead As a result, Major Lazer got to #1 yesterday.

Also Bad Blood is back to 99% combined
Unless Start Again gets another boost I wonder if Fight Song can end up reaching #1? Looks like it is about to go top 2
In a year of mediocre #1 hits, that would be the most pointless waste of space of them all if it made it. Hopefully some things will knock it down a few notches on the thingy very soon which should see it stop rising.
If you include wah.exe's streaming advantage, Bad Blood has just narrowly taken back the lead
'Fight Song' has moved up to #2 at 92.37%, but Taylor Swift still on top at #3 & #41 at 103%.

6. Meghan Trainor - Like I'm Gonna Lose You (feat. John Legend) (other version gone from Top 100)

iTunes are running a "Hip-Hop + R&B Hits" promotion with albums from $8.49.
And to kick off the week,ed sheeran's X is no.1.let's see how many times the #1 changes this week shall we
Well if you track it back to Friday (or Sunday morning really), Major Lazer had it, then Florence + The Machine had it, and then this happened
Thanks to Sunrise, Channel Seven is very certainly going to be #1

in more interesting news, Major Lazer were #1 on albums again, but now just as I make this post, "x" is again
Last edited:
And now florence is back at #1. Conrad's still at #1 singles wise with nothing much to speak of in the top 10. I don't often like new music, but i do like little mix's new one and that's just outside the top 10 at #11
omg lol, Major Lazer were back at #1 between this too
All we need is seth sentry and muse to retake the top spot and we'll have an almost exact repeat of last week
Not totally impossible for Seth too. He has the feature album on triple j this week which is I think how Major Lazer retrieved it on the weekend.
Major Lazer is back at the top lol. Also seth's making a climb,he's top 5 now.Jinx's oracle-esque predictions might be coming true
Muse would be at #1 but Ed Sheeran did a thing apparently.

Powerful at a new peak of #6

Ed Sheeran's thing has also moved Photograph to #8 and Thinking Out Loud to #31. Love it!

Black Magic has also booted Flashlight out of the top ten which is also delightful.
Very delightful, indeed, bluezombie. Little mix for #1 (though it's very much a long shot ) On albums ed is still #1,seth is #2 and Hozier's entry back into the top 5 (now #3) has pushed florence out of the top 5
1. Start Again
2. Fight Song (0.7226562500)
3. Like I'm Gonna Lose You
13. Anchor
27. Thinking Out Loud

Hilary duff is #1 on albums
Chart saviour John Legend is up to 95.62%! I also like seeing Tkay & Wolf Alice in the top 60 on singles & albums respectively, hopefully the latter can make the top 50 officially this week!
10. Kygo - Firestone (feat. Conrad Sewell)

There is yet another change in the #1 Album, and this time it's the 'So Fresh: The Hits of Winter 2015' compilation, which I think might stay at #1 for a while.

41. Chet Faker - Bend
47. Tkay Maidza - M.O.B.
51. Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly
87. Alpine - Foolish
Meghan Trainor pushed Conrad Sewell all the way down to 83.45% in 12 hours already.
Surprised that Conrad has lost so much steam since Meghan got to #1.

12. Can't Feel My Face
13. Ghost Town
14. You Know You Like It
19. Headlights
20. Good For You
24. Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)
28. Golden
29. Worth It
38. Bang Bang (probably used in the ads for The Voice)
42. Peanut Butter Jelly
43. Bend
45. M.O.B.
62. Not Letting Go
64. Are You With Me
65. No Sleep
I guess it might be that he's no longer on any Home And Away ads while Trainor's Winners And Losers ads are still going strong.
9. Firestone.

Since the music public have decided to make Meghan the next female pop star it's no surprise that she has beaten Conrad, still a bit bummed though.
Can't Feel My Face #10

Next #1 plz
delighted Photograph is out of the top 10 tbh

even though I still don't like The Weeknd much at all, I can definitely put that aside and get into CFMF. Probably the 3rd best song in the current top 10!

39. Runaway (U & I)
40. Peanut Butter Jelly - wow I didn't think this would have happened at all!
Why couldn't it take Kygo instead D:

Also on the lovely songstress side of things, Eves The Behavior has a 2nd top 110 hit and Kita Alexander has a first. On the lol hard rock side of things, Disturbed & Breaking Benjamin are in the top 10 albums
Yay Meghan!!! Conrad's at 75% now too.

Can Do It Again please decide if it wants to be a hit or not! Sick of it just hanging around the 50-60 mark. Hopefully it can become a hit.
OMG You Know You Like It is #10

I way way way prefer the original but everyone that i know called my such a hipster when i bought their album 2 years ago and now they're all gonna act like they love them and refuse to believe that i've followed them this long
Jinx Jinxed it. It's now #11 with kygo replacing it in the top 10
Conrad down to 69%
Loving the top 10 even more now that YKYLI is in there!

Do It Again finally top 50! Hopefully it can stay there for a bit.
Leon Bridges has the highest artist album at #2!

Can't Feel My Face though kind of stuck at #9 has been making solid progress today and considering it's up to #2 on Spotify, I can see it being the #1 non-TV song soon. And Major Lazer up to #5, would like to see them sneak a #4 peak if they're lucky.
Last edited:
I know Shazam is pretty useless but YKYLI has shot up from outside the top 10 to #2 this week, which I find interesting seeing it's been on radio for quite a while now, I expect to see a big jump for it on today's airplay chart.

Peanut Butter Jelly is up to #36, and ahead of Runaway! Interesting times!
Little Mix - Black Magic!!! currently #9, and has been charting in Top 10 since Sunday. #2 on Video Chart woo hoo! I'm so happy. Hopefully this means the song will rebound from #12, and finally peak in the ARIA Top 10!! please
Surprised Ed's "Photograph" is #1 on radio and is discounted, and yet can't crack the top 10.
^ Possibly because the target audience has bought the album by now (you would hope).
It's also been in the top ten for a while anyway.

But mostly, it's too good to be in there, only one awesome song is allowed it would seem and a Walk The Moon are filling that slot. Black Magic is the only other worthy one in there currently and the rest can go play in traffic.
Discounted songs in the top 40:

6. Powerful
11. Photograph
13. Firestone
16. Headlights
17. Ghost Town
21. Golden
23. Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)
24. Poison
25. I Don't Like. I Love It.
28. Peanut Butter Jelly
29. The Buzz
34. Cheyenne
38. M.O.B.
40. Someone New

There's a lot more below that.
lol at Start Again going full price right after it stops dropping a bit, Major Lazer/The Weeknd to overtake plz <3

4 hours later, Wolf Alice #46 yay

Meghan Trainor's album up to #1. #1 album & single now.
Can't Feel My Face #5 now, hopefully it can get to #4 or even #3 by the end of the day
I really hope Peanut Butter Jelly continues to climb.
new RÜFÜS #49, I wish they'd gotten the top thingy spot this week, I don't want Selena/A$AP bumping out DJ Snake or Little Mix.

Also a doco on ABC last night has all 3 parts of Evie in the top 200, plus The Wrights' part 1 also.
'Can't Feel My Face' is close to 15% away from #2.

11. Selena Gomez - Good For You (feat. A$AP Rocky)
14. Robin Schulz - Headlights (feat. Ilsey)
26. Fifth Harmony - Worth It (feat. Kid Ink)
38. Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me
41. Pia Mia - Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga)
45. Short Stack - Amy
46. RÜFÜS - You Were Right
48. Tinie Tempah - Not Letting Go (feat. Jess Glynne)
56. Disturbed - The Vengeful One
69. Tori Kelly - I Was Made for Loving You (feat. Ed Sheeran)
106. Years & Years - Shine
107. The Wirghts - Evie, Pt. 1
109. Bullet For My Valentine - You Want To Battle? (Here's A War)
112. Ginuwine - Pony
126. The Wrights - Evie, Pt. 2
128. Eves The Electrical - Electrical
129. Pitbull - Fun (feat. Chris Brown)
131. Hermitude - Searchlight (feat. Yeo)
161. Savage - Like Michael Jackson
166. Kuana Torres Kahele, Napua Greig & James Ford Murphy - Lava
177. Leon Bridges - Coming Home
180. Skepta - Shutdown

Albums
3. Leon Bridges - Coming Home
5. Tori Kelly - Unbreakable Smile
6. Thy Art Is Murder - Holy War
7. Golden Features - XXIV - EP (great to see this still in the Top 10)
8. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Greatest Hits
9. Breaking Benjamin - Dark Before Dawn
11. John Farnham & Olivia Newton-John - Two Strong Hearts
17. Disturbed - Immortalized (on pre-order)
18. The Offspring - Greatest Hits
29. James Taylor - Before This World
30. Little Sea - With You, Without You - EP
35. Kacey Musgraves - Pageant Material
44. Refused - Freedom

58. Wolf Alice - My Love Is Cool
67. Alaska Thunderfuck - Anus
77. The Easybeats - Best of the Easy Beats + Pretty Girl
103. Everything Everything - Get To Heaven
137. Duran Duran - Paper Gods (on pre-order)
The important thing is that Wolf Alice have next week's feature album on triple j so the iTunes stalking shall continue for another week!

Also lol maybe my Thy Art Is Murder prediction weeks ago has something in it!

Also also I just noticed that this is the highest that RÜFÜS have ever charted. There's another one for the [s]Hottest 100[/s] triple j thread
has Shine just been released or has it been out for a while? iTunes says it was released in May but it's just hit top 100 today??

actually, it must be on Hot Tracks I guess
Shine wasn't out a week ago, I bought it on Wednesday when anton pointed out that it was out

But it wasn't quite in the top 200 until the thingy stepped in today
iTunes isn't having a good time of release dates lately, just double checked and it said Shine was out on May 12

it also says that new Short Stack song isn't out until June 29 despite being able to purchase

thanks jinx

You wouldn't be telling porkies now, Jinxie?
Has jinx's nose grown? Then he's telling fibs

In chart news(since that's what we're here for) taylor swift's out of the top 10(probably not for long) London grammar are still in the top 10(probably not for long either) and headlights is up to a new peak of #3,and the weekend is at #4
Cool, now let's just pretend that prediction I made on Sunday night actually meant to be for Tuesday night and I am cruuuuuisin' this

Also yay My Love Is Cool in the top 40 for either a 1st or 2nd time but IC.net is down right now so I don't know

Also also Trap Queen is #59 now.
Wtf London Grammar?!? This only ever happens when an 'unknown' song is sung. It already peaked at 4!!

Lol at headlights gettin ready to outpeak not only Prayer In C and Sun Goes Down but Waves too
Good chance it's unknown to the main Voice audience, or at best, vaguely familiar from that weird drum & bass song they heard on the radio once or twice a long time ago

I for one am sad I can no longer laugh at Headlights overtaking a new song every hour
I also could be wrong but the promo that made Strong take off was on a different channel to The Voice?

Also waha, my Headlights #2, Can't Feel My Face #4 prediction totally worked out.
yeah jinx except you said monday, and it's now tuesday
It seems to me that CFMF is currently the only contender for the next #1, but even this one won't reach the top for 3-4 more weeks (if ever). I guess Meghan Trainor might be enjoying the second longest staying #1 of the year after See You Again, or might even tie it.

Headlights is showing good increases, but it'll probably fall back down after the discount is over.
Clearly the least important part of that prediction Jesse

I feel like Like I'm Gonna Lose You doesn't have the strength to stay at #1 too long, just because it doesn't seem (to me) like something that has the cultural impact and presence of most long running #1s (though I am reminded of something that happened about a year ago ). I do agree with you though, I think Headlights' strength at the moment is largely fueled by its discount.

Can't Feel My Face has a good advantage over all the other potential songs at the moment in that it's #2 on Spotify and climbing rather fast (in the space of one day, it went from being twice as close to #3 than it is to #1, to the other way around), so you can give it a mental 7% boost on the iTunes chart. It also doesn't yet have a video (though neither does Like I'm Gonna Lose You I think?) so there's potential in that too.

On the other hand, it's interesting because The Weeknd usually charts worse here than everywhere else, but here is where he's just about doing the best at the moment

Meghan will only be #1 till saturday and that's when firework will take the #1 spot
Not mid-thread it won't!

Meghan will probably be number one until the Winners And Losers ads stop/stop using it or until Channel Seven start up a new ad with some other song.
that Tori Kelly & Ed Sheeran thing will be #1 in the next 3 weeks I'm guessing. It's bound to be the next song to be spammed in ads
I find it so weird that Headlights is now #2, not sure if it will go #1 but even if not it's still bizarre that it outdid both Prayer In C and Sun Goes Down.

6. Strong (Voice)
9. You Know You Like It
13. Watch Me
15. Golden
19. Peanut Butter Jelly
26. Worth It
29. Not Letting Go.
Travie #7
Silento #10
I can't help but chuckle at seeing Silento moving up to #7. Repetitive beats I can handle, but repetitive shout-outs?
I have a feeling about 'Can't Feel My Face' making a shot at #1 but I'm not super confident. 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' will surely fade much like 'Marvin Gaye' has. It just doesn't scream 'big in 2015' for me. Let's see how wrong I'll be.
There are interesting movements within the Top 20 and higher playing out. If 'Worth It' can pick up some momentum towards the Top 10 then I'll be quite happy.

New Demi Lovato at #32.

Was released just 4 hours ago and already #1 in 27 countries, including the US, and top 10 in another 16 countries. Might be a chance of being a hit here too.

17. Firestone (rebounding for some reason)
22. Are You With Me
34. Budapest
58. Burn For You
59. Counting Stars
80. Fun
98. Come And Get It

Wonder if Start Again will be able to hold onto the Top 10 on ARIA given it has now fallen to #11 (well, #12 given Bad Blood is #6 combined)
The Weeknd down to #4. Looks like my prediction about it being the next #1 contender might turn out wrong.
It's nearing the top of the radio chart, so it doesn't really have much more room to grow. It still doesn't have a video, but so doesn't Meghan.

Other contenders: Headlights, Peanut Butter Jelly, Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) and Golden. All are discounted, so they're all hit or miss (most likely miss)
Out of any of em,i'd have picked 'Golden' but i think meghan will hold it for a while longer.Once the video comes out it'll only strengthen it's hold
5. Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly
12. Fifth Harmony - Worth It (feat. Kid Ink)
18. Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me
32. Drake - Hold On, We're Going Home (feat. Majid Jordan)
41. Years & Years - Shine
43. Dolly Parton - Jolene
45 + 121. Blackstreet - No Diggity
59. Sam Smith - Lay Me Down
60. John Legend - All of Me
61. Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness
77. Pitbull - Fun (feat. Chris Brown)
90. Lakyn - Hold On, We're Going Home
99. Big Brother & The Holding Company - Piece of My Heart

On the Music Videos Chart, Eminem is #1, followed by Taylor Swift at #2, Madonna at #3, and Rihanna at #4.
Perhaps Like I'm Gonna Lose You will be the Big Girls Don't Cry of 2015.
Drake's track is not new,so why the rebound? Another voice virus?
I use to be annoyed with reality shows bumping up old tracks but I've reached the conclusion that there is a whole bunch of people who listen to songs on the radio and have no idea what they are called until it's performed on a reality competition. Radio (well at least what I have access to) these days just play songs and very very rarely tell me what was just played. I have no idea what the song is, unless I'm watching a countdown or something. When I was growing up, the DJ would tell the audience the name of the artist and songs that were just played, or was about to be played. Even going to lengths to mention the song that was played in the middle when 3 songs were played. Perhaps if radio went back to identifying songs every time they are played, perhaps people could actually buy the song at the time it is 'big' or perhaps free to air TV needs to bring back an actual weekly countdown show.
Hold On, We're Going Home was indeed performed on The Voice, as was Jolene, Summertime Sadness, Lay Me Down (yay the original is ahead now!) & All Of Me.

And No Diggity was on that Lip Sync Battle show

Also Worth It overtook Start Again for #11 lol

@BillyBrett, I'd add to that, that there's a good chance that people are also only passively listening to the radio, or are occupied at the time, so by the time they're able to log onto iTunes, they've already forgotten about that song they heard on the radio and liked. Prime time TV makes it a full focus while it's happening, and of course for every 1 person buying the #1 song on iTunes, about 100 are watching The Voice every night lol.

I don't watch the voice and only followed it via it's own thread on here before i officially joined up,but is it the same songs chosen every year by the judges for the singers to perform? It seems that way sometimes!
I would much rather that it wasn't replaced by the worthless Fifth Harmony song, but at least that stupid Silento thing is out of the top ten. Plummet!
Paolo Nutini funking our life up in the top 100 yet again in 2015 *.*

With two versions combined, Lost Frequencies joins the club of 'outselling Conrad' which now boasts 13 members, and despite no longer being discounted, Silentooooooo back to #6.

8. Black Magic
10. Worth It (Eww)
16. Are You With Me
39. Shine
50. I See Fire (Return)
I can't believe the below average Worth It is finding greater success in Australia than the perfectly fine piece of pop that was Sledgehammer.
115. Party
#4 - Peanut Butter Jelly IDK if i want this to out peak Runaway. I'd love for it to get huge success but Runaway is better and this is kinda silly so
'Are you with me' is now top ten at #8.I'm not so sure it'll be #1,but never know! I'd love to see headlights hit that top spot
That's already a huge shame that Hadlights will outpeak Prayer In C and Waves on saturday, so there's no need for it to go to #1.

Are You With Me could very well be a contender though.

AYWM now #6....top 5 tomorrow maybe?
I'd love for AYWM to get to #1 but i think it's a bit short for that. Would it be the shortest #1 ever?
I imagine surely not as of course back in the 1950s, hit singles were pretty much always under the 3 minute mark and often shorter, but definitely the shortest in quite some time. Sales are really low right now so it shouldn't be too difficult for something to take over.
Why is 'Pony' by Ginuwine in the top 40? Is it featured in that film about male strippers? Speaking of,the magic mike xxl soundtrack is #1 *sigh*
Well you've answered your own question

The Weeknd has started moving back up but he has an album pre-order now so that might slow down the top version.

New Peking Duk is #47 and with similar homepage exposure to RÜFÜS two weeks ago, perhaps will get about as high as they did.
Love the new Peking Duk song. I can see big things coming from this.

Pony is in the Magic Mike movie and was also on a segment on The Footy Show last night.
I think Peking Duk will initially do better than RÜFÜS because the general public is more exposed to them. Everyone's heard High and Take Me Over while RÜFÜS' best known songs (Take Me & Sundream) are barely known
That's true Tennis but I think RÜFÜS had more anticipation as it was their first release in 2 years. And of course they're a group who managed to get their debut album at #1 without much of a hit, so there's a sizeable fanbase.

Perhaps it'll just go down to which song the public prefer

Say My Name is #42 now, and The Weeknd's pre-order is already #15.

It's good to see years and years grab a top ten spot. Now if only the new single would do the same!
Headlights up to 91%

Thankfully the LIGLY video was just released so hopefully it gets pushed as low as possible.
Top 4 is incredibly close with all versions added

1. Like I'm Gonna Lose You 1.0000
2. Can't Feel My Face 0.9450
3. Headlights 0.9200
4. Peanut Butter Jelly 0.8806
5. Are You With Me 0.7800

Will be interesting to see how things will shape up from Monday on both iTunes and Spotify (provided their data is updated...)

Looks like any of the Top 4 could get to #1, perhaps even Are You With Me if it can make big gains, which is entirely possible IMO.
The UK charts were just published tonight with no Spotify data, so don't be surprised if we get the same on Saturday night. The gaps are so small though that if streaming were currently included, Can't Feel My Face is in the lead so far this week (as it got to #1 on Spotify yesterday).
Singles sales through album pre-orders don't count, right? I know they don't in the US and the UK, but what about here?

Speaking of #1, I think Meghan might snatch a 4th week atop. It usually regains momentum once the weekend is over.
They don't count to the ARIA Chart but they do count to the iTunes chart, which of course makes it difficult to know how well something is selling, as album versions will still pick up sales from people buying them on their own.
PBJ #3 almost #2
Pony is #11 combined

and NIN Closer has been in the top 100 for a couple of days which is definitely my impact & not Magic Mike
I had wondered why that was suddenly charting again.
I wonder if this site gets enough traffic to actually make an impact on ITunes?
Would be really cool if it did.
2. Headlights (85.75%)

Cat Stevens and Fleetwood Mac are in the Top 5 on the Albums Chart.
At this stage unless something else comes out of the blue i think lost frequencies will have the next #1
Do It Again up to #16. Top 10 bound maybe?
Out of the singles in the lower portion of the chart that haven't yet gone top 10 i think it has one of the more stronger chances, chris.
Lost Frequencies #2
The top 10 albums on itunes has had more of a shakeup than the singles chart. The Eagles are #1,foo fighters are 2 with a greatest hits package, the beatles #1 is 4,fleetwood mac has fallen to 5 and magic mike xxl has fallen as low as #8
Headlights and Can't Feel My Face are collapsing. Both at 70% now when they were at 96% & 101% respectively 3 days ago.

On the other side, Lost Frequencies jumped 7% out of nowhere in one update.
2. Are You With Me. 90.90%.
3. Peanut Butter Jelly.
14. Do It Again.
27. Pony.
30. Happy Song.
39. Freedom.
43. Gravity.
63. Kings Never Die.
Fight song is back in the top 5 (pity ) and magic mike xxl soundtrack i expect to be back at #1 by the end of tonight or sometime tomorrow. It's currently at #3 with rock ballads and the eagles at #2 and #1
2. Are You With Me 0.9618

May be #1 though given it's also #125 and #1182.

Yound and Beautiful has re-surged for the umpteenth time, up to #39.
Are You With Me #1
And with Fifth Harmony booting Walk The Moon there are no songs in the top ten I deem worthy for possibly the first time ever.
Charlie Puth's single seems to have been removed from the iTunes store since it's not in the Top 200 anymore.
Might be tactically trying to focus more attention on the fact he has an EP, the version from that is up to #404.

Stereosonic announcement seems to be doing Peking Duk favours with Say My Name up to #20, which is still not quite as high as RÜFÜS got!1!!!!11

187. The Paper Kites - Electric Indigo
@ Bluezombie

Do you really not consider a single of the top 10 worthy? The only songs I dislike are FS and Golden. Sure Watch Me isn't good but it's just a dance fad like Gangnam Style. LIGLY is boring but the rest are all at least 7/10 songs IMO, even Worth It which I disliked until a week or two ago
I'm not the biggest fan of the current Top 10 either but I like three of the songs, with the potential to like another couple of them after repeated listens.
'Headlights' is the only one i like. In chart news(since that's what we're here for) Tame Impala are #1 on the albums chart and i think the fact that are you with me was a late #1 this week will probably mean it won't be no.1 on aria this week.
Peanut Butter Jelly is top 3 so I can't really complain, although I would like it at #1 instead of #3. Hope Can't Feel My Face hurries up and gets back in there too.

#10 Do It Again
#20 Say My Name
#21 Can't Feel My Face (single version was deleted earlier today)
#32 Get Stupid
#42 Shake That
#47 How Deep Is Your Love (hoping it can go top 10 in the next few days!)
#58 Everyday
#59 Kings Never Die
#64 Marvin Gaye
#73 679
#95 Simple Things
#99 Stole The Show
#100 Search Party
Yer i wondered why CFMF was suddenly not in the top 10 anymore.Thought it was some kinda glitch.
Lost Frequencies isn't safe for #1 next week either. 5SOS have a new single dropping imminently and it can't be hard for them to muster 20,000 sales I imagine.

Yay Tame Impala though.
@Tennis: I really don't consider any of them worthy. That's not to say I hate them all, but I just don't think any of them are much good either and a couple of them are pretty bad.
Calvin Harris is top 40 now,and so is samantha jade. After the single version was deleted earlier today 'Can't Feel My Face' is back in the top 20 and may get top 10 once again. @Jinxie, 5SOS will probably get #1 especially once the video comes out and all the music progs start floggin it
'Can't Feel My Face' (Album Version) is back in the Top 10 now.

21. Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love
30. Aston Merrygold - Get Stupid
31. Samantha Jade - Shake That (feat. Pitbull)

You'll never walk alone is a classic.It won't hit #1 though
5SOS #1
Already with a 5:4 lead on #2 also.
Go 5SOS, shake up that top spot. And they might as well keep the trend of 2015 of non memorable (IMO) #1s
Do It Again back in the top 10, and this time it's not because of a song deletion.
5S0S are already starting to lose steam...
After being pushed as low as 56%, Lost Frequencies is back to 85%

Calvin/Disciples' hot Bee Gees/Rapture remake is #9. Didn't knock out Worth It though Jesse

Also ooh @ Leave A Trace getting CHVRCHES to never before seen heights of [s]#51[/s] #50 ^.^

Lost Frequencies back at #1.
^^
Lol @ 5SOS dropping faster than Karise Eden/Madonna
The Weeknd is about to overtake Meghan Trainor.

Walk The Moon back into the Top 10, knocking that Fifth Harmony crap to #11.
woo and indeed hoo
5SOS are now below Fight Song. Where do y'all think it will be at the end of this week? I think it'll drop to around Start Again and Flashlight.
It wouldn't surprise me if the group gets on the promotion trail if not this week, than soon,so i think it'll just hang onto it's top 20 spot.
If i had to guess which songs it'll be near, looking at the chart i'd say it'll be around the area of 'watch me' and that awful fifth harmony song
Headlights is back in the top 5,pushing fight song down to #6. 5SOS continue their downward slide now at #7
Calvey Harris #7 yay
5SOS will be out of the top 20 by the end of the week.
Could be right at this stage, burnt. 5SOS currently at #13. The Weeknd are at #2 and Calvin Harris is now #6. I'd like it to knock PBJ out of the top 5 but it'll likely knock headlights out.

111. The Rubens - Hoops
139. David Zowie - House Every Weekend
omg I hadn't seen David Zowie any higher than like #300 and I've been checking a lot; yay!

Also I hope this respectable charting means that Hoops is more liked than Hallelujah.
David Zowie? Is that a zombie version of David Bowie?
His parents were big Bowie fans and gave him the name lol. I can't work out whether or not it rhymes with Bowie becauses radio presenters here and in the UK are giving me conflicting responses

Also ooh, Powerful is back in the top 10 again.
Poor kid. Bowie itself is pronounced differently here to the UK. We say "tie a Bowie around the gift" and they say "go to the Bowie of the ship". Zowie is probably the same sit.
I'm not sure I knew that but gosh that just seems so wrong to my ears
oh lordy, grant's tryin out for a career in comedy
6. How Deep Is Your Love
18. She's Kinda Hot
34. Freedom
48. Kings Never Die.
People don't seem to know what to do with Powerful given it's constantly bouncing up and down.
I'm annoyed that Walk The Moon fell out again and Fifth Harmony and Silento need to gtfo, but Fight Song is out of the top ten which is a kind of win.
Agree on Fight Song, about time it left the top 10!

#5 How Deep Is Your Love
#22 Shine
#42 Trap Queen
#47 Leave A Trace
#53 679
#54 Show Me Love
#76 My Way
#79 Bruk Bruk (I Need Your Lovin)
#97 Hoops
#98 House Every Weekend
I hope Can't Feel My Face can get #1 soon cause Are You With Me is boring as.
I don't mind Are You With Me but I love Can't Feel My Face, it's so much better so I'm really hoping it can get to #1 too
It's been months, but Uptown Funk can update its list of succeeding #1s that it has overtaken to 5 as Lean On falls to #41, and See You Again & You Don't Own Me aren't far away either (yes I know Lean On has superior streaming and a second version tucked away somewhere).

yay 5H & Ouse Every Weekend ~
'Ouse every weekend is doing rather well...
Heart Attack #196, first time in the top 200 since the album came out <3
Peanut Butter Jelly #3
I hope that Golden or Queen Delta knocks Worth It out of the Top 10 soon.
Pia Mia close to passing Calvin for #5
and has now, knocking calvin to #6. Delta is #20 and tame impala are no longer #1 on the albums chart.
Wings #15

I'll even take DIA #1 over LF

73. We Can As Romans - We Came As Romans
119. Various Artists - Your Winter Mix Tape 2015
Uptown Funk outselling See You Again
I haven't heard Wings but it's in the top ten which increases the net worth of the ten by about 1000% at least.
#4 Do It Again
#7 Wings
#34 Fire And The Flood
#43 Throne
#55 + #92 Happy Song (about #44 combined)
#67 Unbroken
#71 + #316 House Every Weekend
#144 Dessert
#153 Body Talk
Galantis have now moved up to #2,but with both versions of 'Are You With Me' that should keep lost frequencies at #1 for some time
Peanut Butter Jelly just jumped about 11% to 82% in the last update While other songs have jumped a lot too.
And now the Weeknd has leapfrogged over Galantis and is back at #2. I suspect delta will be top 5 before the night ends(she's currently #6)
Walk The Moon back in the ten to #7, and though it initially knocked Delts out, she's back in at #9 kicking Worth It out for maybe the 80th time. I assume I have DWTS and Voice to thank for these goodnesses.
^ Yep, thank you very much to these two.

75. Stole The Show
673. Reality
1400. Sugar

Given European hits are still doing well, I'll be watching these ones closely. Fully expect them to be Top 10 / Top 5 hits within the next few months.
I'm amazed how Stole The Show was a big Spotify hit (top 20 at the very least) at the time Firestone managed to hit the top 50 here, and now STS has finally reached our iTunes.
Well to be fair, Stole The Show has been in and around the top 200 for months now. Radio must just be picking it up. Kygo just does well on Spotify because he's on every playlist and makes inoffensive music that no one even notices (heck, Firestone doesn't actually get going until the 30 second mark when the stream has already been counted ). If you're less cynical, you could accept that he's getting a lot of streams and people like the songs, but those people use Spotify, they're not going to download the track on iTunes if they like it, so the only real chance is if they tell their iTunes-using friends 'hey check this song out'

Also yay Reality, big step up from Are You With Me
11. Vance Joy - Fire and the Flood
22. Fetty Wap - Trap Queen
27. Pharrell Williams - Freedom
38. Sam Feldt - Show Me Love (feat. Kimberly Anne)
44. Disclosure - Omen (feat. Sam Smith)
59. SAFIA - Embracing Me
60. Bonnie Anderson - Unbroken
65. David Zowie - House Every Weekend
67. Kygo - Stole The Show (feat. Parson James)
112. Foxes - Body Talk
139. Ricky Dillon - BEAT
Vance joy now #10 knocking delta out of the top 10
...only to be swiftly bumped back out by Major Lazer who are #9 again

Baby Blue #195 *.* First time I've seen it in the top 200. GFK will be pleased

There was a time where 'Cheyenne' was out of the itoons top fiddy and now it's top 25 again, anyone know why?
I saw an ad on the weekend that he'd be on Sunrise this week, perhaps that was today?
He started moving back up on Friday because it's on the New Singles To Watch at $1.19, feels like 2012 again Good song though so ok with this.

Dammit was hoping he would have a flop just once
21. Fetty Wap - Trap Queen
82. Fetty Wap - My Way
92. Fetty Wap - 679

WHY AUSTRALIA, WHY ?!?
Artist name probably. It's so stupid sounding that I want to burst into laughter like a maniac every time I even think of it. How do you even come up with "Fetty Wap"?

Vance Joy is back up to #9 and Worthless has moved back to ten. Good news is Silento is out of the top ten, bad news is that Walk The Moon are too.
calvin harris #5 Would be nice if DIA were still in there and LIGLY was out
This will just make it more silly, but both 'Fetty' & 'Wap' essentially descend from colloquialisms which both mean money In light of the Tyler nonsense today, Trap Queen needs to keep climbing!

Also Action Bronson up to #166 & Heart Attack back at #196 *.*

Fetty Wap announced a tour yesterday so that's probably why he's rising.

Don't worry Jesse, DIA is back at #5.
I like both DIA and HDIYL. With those two in top 5 i can tolerate the top 3.The lower half of the top ten is just incredibly dull with silento, major lazer, and fifth harmony just playing musical chairs. At least now fight song is starting to slide.
@bluezombie - Refer to the following video for an explanation on how he came up with Fetty Wap:

http://blip.tv/rapcritic/trap-queen-by-fetty-wap-7190472

From 0:32 - 0:52

It doesn't help that my brain constantly wants to switch the first letter of the two "words" and call him Wetty Fap.
Haha
8. Fire And The Flood
23. Shine
26. Disclosure - Omen
27. Cheyenne
35. Show Me Love.
I likey over half of the current Top 10 (noted in bold):

3. Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly
4. Meghan Trainor - Like I'm Gonna Lose You (feat. John Legend)
5. Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love
6. Pia Mia - Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga)
7. Robin Schulz - Headlights (feat. Ilsey)
8. Vance Joy - Fire and the Flood
9. Major Lazer - Powerful (feat. Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley)
10. Fifth Harmony - Worth It (feat. Kid Ink)

Heart Attack smashing a new peak of #147 *.* (and Girl @ #181 is a nice surprise)

Also

new Chet Faker/Banks #138
new Nico & Vinz/Kid Ink/Bebe Rexha #152

Disclosure are #20 otherwise not a lot of news up there.
1 + 92. Are You With Me (105.20%)
2. Can't Feel My Face (91.76%)
3. Peanut Butter Jelly (76.05%)

188. Madcon - Don't Worry (feat. Ray Dalton)
189. Alan Jackson - You Can Always Come Home
196. E^ST - The Alley
I am shocked and pleased to see E^ST in the top 200 because her irritating name-stylisation change has made her harder to search for

Also The Weeknd's video has given him great momentum lately, but he's had an out of nowhere jolt to #1 just now
I have a feeling that Tom Cruise & Jimmy Fallon's latest 'Lip Sync Battle' may have pushed The Weeknd to #1.

1. Can't Feel My Face (100.00%)
2 + 73. Are You With Me (100.87%)

118. Bon Jovi - Burning Bridges (on pre-order)
124. Katie Noonan's Vanguard - Transmutant
134. Various Artists - Descendants (Original TV Movie Soundtrack)
though he's fallen behind Major Lazer & Wiz Khalifa, Mark Ronson has gone and Uptown Funked up the 7th successive #1 single in You Don't Own Me

Heart Attack #117 is causing me to lose my mind, and also there's a new One Direction song out.
that new One Direction song is #3 now

Also:
#64 Paradise
#90 My Own Way
#111 Heart Attack
#124 Locked Away
#128 Here
#136 Don't Worry
lol it's already #1 now
Wondering if the new 1D song can have the same extraordinary longevity 5 Seconds Of Summer's latest single enjoyed in the Top 10.
Incidentally, the mass arrival of the 1D fanbase on iTunes has pushed 5SOS up from #46 to #37
looking at a 4:1 lead at #1 now and that Ghost Town thing is in the top 10.
Dr. Dre's new soundtrack/album just hit #1 on pre-orders. Rip Detox memes

For singles, The Weeknd/Lost Frequencies are just about to climb back to 50%, Lost Frequencies was briefly #2 yesterday but The Weeknd has been gaining distance today.

also in anti-real music, Ghost Town is #4.

Ghost Town is at least equal in realness to Are You With Me. I hope it can get to #2 and maybe #1 (haven't heard 1D yet).
Ugh, Ghost Town & Fight Song have really, really annoyed me. They chart for ages, seeming like a solid top 20 but nothing more and a couple of weeks after they seemingly peaked they just decide for what ever reason they want to join the top 10.

& this gives them super inflated BOAT points
I'd rather ghost town than fight song in the top 10
ghost town now #2
and lambert's album is #1
Ghost Town 93.3% blimey.

Edit: #1

The video for Peanut Butter Jelly was just released and it's pretty good. I can see it rising through video purchases (when it hits the store)
I am a massive Lambert fan, but "Ghost Town" is a really average song. In fact, his album is ordinary too. So I'm disappointed that it could be one of his biggest (if not his biggest) song.

Also on the average spectrum, more underwhelming if anything, is Disclosure/Sam Smiths' new collab. "Latch" standards it ain't.
Why is Ghost Town suddenly #1 anyway?? I love GT but like CFMF way more and a shame it might never get #1
He was on The Voice last night.
Silento is out of the top ten! [86]

Selena in this time.
Good For You appears to be popping its way to first class, #9 now. *clap clap clap*

One Direction may very well return to #1 also, they just moved 70% -> 76% on a white update. Should keep them from having a bad 2nd week drop on the charts, though they may drop back behind AYWM/CFMF on Friday depending on how iTunes advertising adjusts.

Dre's pre-order is back to #1 also.

Edit: Heart Attack new peak [s]#96[/s] #91 also ^.^

Ghost Town dropping hard but I can't see Drag Me Down being #1 again. Huge gap between Selena and Pia Mia so it'll be tough for Selena to continue her surge. Hopefully Demi can join her
I hear Demi is to be on The Voice next week
Yay Demi! Demi and Pia Mia in the top 10 at the same time would be awesome! Pia Mia also had a short stint at #7 tonight before being overtaken again by Calvin, and One Direction are almost back to 80%.
Can't Feel My Face (and Rumour Mill & Mountain At The Gates) is album only, so congrats on settling for #4 this week!
I see a small chance for it to even be below PBJ & LIGLY
14. Shine
15. Get Stupid
21. Show Me Love
28. That's How You Know

Lol jinx. Let's hope he doesn't get an idea to make a remake of 'Down Down' and sneak in a low appearance.
Walk The Moon have shut up and moved back into the top ten much to my delight.
#3 Like I'm Gonna Lose You
#6 Shut Up And Dance
#18 Cool For The Summer
#38 Lean On
I wish they would Shut Up and Dance their way quickly out of the charts because it's now easily the most annoying song of the year for me.
Delta at #1.

Demi only at #16.
Just a 4% lead for Wings at the moment, I hope it picks up.

Edit: new update has Ghost Town 77%, Like I'm Gonna Lose You 66%, Are You With Me 60%

The way we are going 2015 could get the most #01's. Jesus Christ this year has been shite
Going to be an interesting week with Delta and Adam, could go either way, really depends how big Delta's lead gets and how long it stays there. I was never expecting for Adam to last this long to be honest.

I've rather liked this years #1s so far but there isn't going to be 26 #1s this year so it won't be beat 2004. I'd imagine it will be between 17-20 by year end unless there is a really long runner.
There have been a lot of #1s this year haven't there. I like Wings so good on it getting there. In fact the past 3 #1s (Ghost Town and AYWM) I have also enjoyed, not including OD in between although it's decent at least. Meanwhile Shut Up And Dance continues to troll, lol at SG getting sandy vag about it.

Eat my sandy vag, Liftie. lol

UF is still alive and well in the top fiddy.
Eh this year isn't that bad when it comes to #1s. This year has had Uptown Funk, Lean On and Bills which are all better than any #1 up to the same time last year in 2014. Would've been nice if the last seven #1s had been overall as good as the first 6 #1s of the year but it could be worse. I doubt we'll have more than 20 #1s (let alone 26) this year, we're due for another 5+ week #1 in the next two months imo. And if we're talking about music in general, this year has been great! All my opinion of course
simonf; in 2004 they had x15 #01's at this stage throughout the year we are currently at x13. Still possible.
Cool For The Summer #10.
Aston Merrygold has stupidly gotten into the top ten, much to the delight of approximately nobody.

At the expense of Walk The Moon, which will please some people who are certainly not me.
Not enough to matter on this week's chart, but I do believe The Weeknd's streaming puts him ahead of Ghost Town now.

New Lana Del Rey #24, a few places higher than West Coast ever got.
Why is Olly Murs back in the Top 100? Up is... well up again at #79.
Maybe because Demi's on the track? I don't think I realised it had dropped out of the top 100 lol
Olly is currently in Australia doing some concerts...according to auspOp.

Fly Away #02
The last time something spent 30+ consecutive days at #1 on ITunes was Uptown Funk and it looks like that trend won't end anytime soon. At least things aren't boring, well until the next overrated to death smash hit comes along that is.
Fly Away #1, hope it's good.
1. Wings (100.00%)
2. Ghost Town (71.94%)

199. Casey Veggies - Tied Up (feat. DeJ Loaf)
How Deep Is Your Love now #2 Goooooo no.1!
Aston Merrygold was #5 last night but now Nico & Vinz are. Presumably due to no competition, How Deep Is Your Love is starting to make a pounce for the top spot, nearly 80% though it's hard to tell if it's streaming advantage (approx. 1750 sales equivalent) will contend with Wings' physical sales.

Also

16. Wildest Dreams
20. Follow Me

and 10 days until new Foals/Beach House/Weeknd albums *.*
Woooo Beach House!
Love is deep enough that it has given Calvin Harris his first iTunes #1 since We Found Love, and the first ever for Disciples.

Also Wildest Dreams is #11 now, and Locked Away #17.

LunchMoney Lewis doesn't have amusingly incidental titles, but his two songs are next to each other.

Also Ngaiire is #187 with the radio edit of Once, and the album version is #341. Not too shabby ^.^

#114 Triumph (what a flop lol)
Nico & Vinz #1 now, either them or Calvin/Disciples could be the first unofficial #1 of the year (or possibly neither).
185. 소녀시대 - Lion Heart
186. 소녀시대 - You Think
I just had to listen to "That's How You Know" to make sure it was the same song I reviewed a little over two weeks ago. It was. And it's still shit.

Not something I usually like to say, but for shame Australia, for shame.
I'm considering buying Calvin Harris's new song just in spite of Nico & Vinz but the fact that 'That's How You Know' is cheaper than 'How Deep is Your Love' might be the reason why it's going to stay #1 for a while.
Do people really wait for the songs that they like to be discounted by a dollar before purchasing though?
It's more an urgency thing I think. When you see something on discount, there's an impulse factor that makes you have to quickly hurry to decide if you want to purchase something because if you don't now, it might no longer be discounted when you change your mind.

Personally I find myself often downloading songs that I otherwise wouldn't, if they're discounted. And then I also downloaded both the Major Lazer big hits (when I wasn't overly into them) because they were $1.19 but perhaps wouldn't be come Australia Day when I need to get them for my collection.
That makes sense and probably explains most of the extra sales that songs achieve while on discount.
I guess the difference in the past with CD singles was that discounted singles stayed the same price on the shelf from their release date through to the day they got deleted, so there was no urgency to buy them, though, I admit I did buy some CD singles on discount that I would have otherwise not bought. Hehe
Surely the urgency was there in another way, because if you didn't get them when they were hot, they might disappear from the shelves and never come back.

I reckon that's a contributor to why the industry was stronger at the time. Now, especially with albums which are a larger investment, you can safely know that digital copies will still be in stock and easy to find, if you should 5 years down the track find the time to dig into them, but that could very well not happen, and people just don't end up buying the music ever.

There were budgeting concerns back then because CD singles were two to five times the price of a $2.19 iTunes track, depending on the era. You just couldn't afford every single that you wanted in a short period of time, which is why various artists CD compilations were hugely popular.
Incidentally, Sony seem to have shifted $1.19 priority over from Wings to How Deep Is Your Love. The floor is yours timothy
New JoJo at #132.

This makes me so fricken happy I must admit.

Edit: #119 now.

Also interesting thing to note, Sony is advertising Calvin Harris's new single on several websites by mentioning how it's only $1.19.

I'd been getting 'Get it on iTunes $1.19 for a limited time only' ads for The Rubens today on Buzzjack I'm surprised to see Calvin Harris suddenly being pushed this hard. Well outside of Blame on Spotify
#1 That's How You Know (1.0)
#2 How Deep Is Your Love (0.9857)

Yeah, and it also seems to be working since Calvin Harris pretty close now. I'm willing to bet that he can get #1 within the next hour.
now #1, which means no unofficial #1s

Also Run Away With Me #111 ^.^ pls get some more promo

For Nico & Vinz it might also be a weekend effect? They stopped climbing pretty much all of last weekend so it might be a similar case again at the moment. Not being on New Singles To Watch is hurting the most I think though.
^ True but they weren't falling as they are doing now. Didn't realize they were on the 'New Singles To Watch' section last week though.

It's like Conrad Sewell's Start Again all over again.

Funny thing is that Can't Feel My Face could very well climb back to #2 on ARIA next week.
ha, maybe unlike Conrad they'll actually put a video out I don't think they'll just drop straight back and actually wouldn't count them out as getting to #1 next, just depends what happens with this How Deep Is Your Love push from next week onwards. Being #1 will help Calvin keep up the momentum, but if Sony are pushing so many sales out of it this week, it might also dry up sooner than expected.
It was completely unexpected but I'm glad Ain't Nobody has surged so much the past few days.
Vance Joy's 'Fire and the Flood' is currently at #5 all of a sudden...tv singing contest performance?
It's the only current hit that was on The Voice tonight (there's also Hold My Hand but that's out of the chart )

Aston Merrygold was on Dancing With The Stars before anyone asks

It's been a slow day Itunes wise.Vance and Aston are still #2 and #3 but now Wildest Dreams is #5 and r city are now in the top ten and are #8
The slump is just setting in now, #2/#3 both lost over 2% in the last update. Perhaps R. City could be #2 soon and perhaps have the next #1.

Never Be looks to be a legit hit as it's back in the top 40 (though it has slipped out of the Spotify top 100).
R City is now #5 and Wildest Dreams is #4 and it wouldn't surprise me if those two swapped soon.
It's largely thanks to pre-orders but Often is finally in the top 100 *.*

New LunchMoney Lewis top 50 and new Parkway Drive nearly top 30.

The Weeknd is #1 on pre-orders, let's see 5 figures (and now Often is #70, a year after release!)

Incidentally, half the top 10 albums atm are pre-orders
Nelly is now #2 pushing wildest dreams to #3. Only the album version of locked away is charting and it's #35. Ain't nobody (loves me better) is closing in on the top 10 now at #13
Calvin is still #1 but no longer discounted.

Nelly is up to 86 %. Interesting that 3 songs in the Top 5 don't even have a video.

That must have been what i saw. TBH i only saw a headline and didn't read the story since ms swift holds no interest for me. So you were correct after all IE!
New Biebs just turned up at #4.

And now #2.

And now #1, the bid for unofficial #1s continues!

Nearly a 2:1 lead also

The Voice has gotten Fix You back to #42, time for the annual re-entry!
1. What Do You Mean? (100.00%)

181. Sigala - Easy Love (on pre-order) (Seems to be trending heaps on Spotify too)
197. Dustin Tebbutt - Silk (feat. Thelma Plum)
Wow,wildest dreams and all the others have lost major ground against the biebs. I think if ellie drennan doesn't hit #1 by today or late tomorrow then it probably won't happen.
I'm actually surprised that Ghost (not to be confused with Ella Henderson, Halsey) by Ellie Drennan (not to be confused with Goulding, Rowsell) cracked the top 10.

Felix Jaehn is top 10 as well.

Downtown now #10

(Just wish it had knocked Nico & Vinz out of the Top 10 instead of Felix Jaehn though)
Wildest Dreams is now #2 and with Ellie Drennan dropping to #7 after spending much of yesterday and today at #6 i think the chances of a voice #1 ain't gonna happen. Albums chart is just as slow with The Weeknd still #1 probably guarenteeing it to hit the ARIA top spot this week
What's with the chart atm?

Delta drops from 1-9 in one week and now HDIYL is #9 on iTunes. Nothing is having longetivity and we are turning into the UK. If Justin Bieber lasts 3 weeks in the T10 it'll be the surprise of the year.

Also Nico & Vinz have rocketed down to #10
2. Wildest Dreams (0.5103760000)
7. Ghost
8. Downtown
31. Where Are U Now (Of course)
34. Hula Hoop
37. Tyga - Stimulated
52. Nick Jonas - Levels
62. Greg Gould - Run To You.

Hopefully bieber starts dropping soon so Wildest Dreams can get #1, who is the last artist/band/group etc to have 4 #1's from the same album? Would it be Delta and Innocent Eyes?
^ Yep. In The Zone, The E.N.D. and The Heist came close with 3 #1 singles.

Can't see Wildest Dreams get to #1 but I hope I'm wrong.
That looks to be correct.

Can't see Wildest Dreams getting there. With the video out and her tour still months away it doesn't have much to boost it. Locked Away and maybe Downtown look like the only tracks on the chart at the moment that have potential to get to #1 after Bieber I think. Bieber has a really big lead still though so maybe it'll be a new release that'll get there.

#20 Wasn't Expecting That
#34 Thinking Out Loud
#71. Jet Black Heart

I honestly just want Nico & Vinz out of the Top 10 already. Also weird seeing Jamie Lawson in the Top 20 again. Also, what's up with 5sos plummeting so hard after only 1 week? This is their 3rd single this year and all of them have flopped and had no longevity.

EDIT: Also, why is Thinking Out Loud back in the Top 40?
Last edited:
Apart from She's Kinda Hot, the 5SOS tracks are just insta-grats I think? So no radio airplay or promotion. And the case of She's Kinda Hot is that I guess it didn't really connect with a mass audience like their past singles.

Liking Hotline Bling moving up to #62!

Downtown is also #4 now.

Not sure if this is where to post it but Aussie ITunes is coming up to it's 10th anniversary.

Anyone know if they are doing a best of countdown?

They did one for the 1st year anniversary in 2006 although it didn't seem accurate as My Humps seemed excluded and a lot of 2005 hits managed to make it in the countdown and seeing as My Humps was a big seller and was released after ITunes began in Oz and when Gold Digger and Hung Up were #1 & #2 it seemed like they missed that one. Pon De Replay also peaked higher than Don't Cha which seemed a bit odd as they were released at the same time and Don't Cha had much higher sales.
Anyone know why peter allen is charting again?
There was a segment on Sunday Night about him last night while there's also going to be a tv special called Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door next Sunday.
There's an impending Peter Allen moofie/mini-series on the box, Jessy.
see,if i watched tv i might know these things...but i don't

Ugh, those Bondi Hipster idiots.
Lol, Strong is #12; I assume Seven just aired reruns of The Voice instead of showing The X-Factor.

Unless this rebound is from something else, I'm genuinely surprised the two shows have enough of a different audience to get it this high who didn't just buy it a few weeks back.
Oh I didn't realise X Factor was already back on Georgia, Everybody's Free, Wicked Game, Elastic Heart & Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing are also back in the top 100.
777. Global Deejays - Everybody's Free (Klaas Radio Edit) [feat. Rozalla]

Impossible, I Still Call Australia Home, Tenterfield Saddler are probably here because of that too. If I'm wrong, y'all can correct me.

Edit: If You Wait is back at #37 too

Peter Allen would be courtesy of the TV special about him tonight.

It's interesting actually that If You Wait climbed much higher last time relative to how well Strong is doing at the moment. If you include the other two versions of Strong, it's probably #6/#7 atm.
Why does "Strong" keep charting really high (easily Top 20 everytime) whenever someone sings it? I wouldn't be complaining if all other chosen songs charted that high but why that song?

I have nothing against it but it's just out of the ordinary.
It's a kind of breezy song. Maybe people just forgot to buy it?

#9 now

If You Wait climbed much higher last time because it was discounted and advertised on iTunes. Perhaps competition is stronger this time around as well.

Strong is probably #5 now with all versions combined.

What's funny is that when it was performed in the Voice battke rounds last year, it 'only' made #20 on iTunes. It may have been performed on the X Factor ln 2014 as well but didn't go Top 10 either.
#989 The Herd - The King Is Dead ~

Sigala has also ousted Calvin/Disciples from the top 10 and the Sia song from Twilight is in the top 20. Earned It is back to #40, Hotline Bling up to #60.

Wonder what caused Graduation to appear, school doesn't end for another 2 months yet.
All of NSW is graduating this week, most of which are today and tomorrow.
When you realise there are now people finishing school who started years after that song was big ~

https://xkcd.com/1393/
In two year's time there will be Year 12 leavers who weren't even born when that song was big. lol
The Itch was charting when I started school lol

To make this post more relevant, I'll say that I'm pleased that For A Better Day (#60 currently) has been stable over the past few days and is now 20+ places ahead of Waiting For Love And go Sugar of course
Graduation is being used on Cancer Council ads at the moment so that's probably why it's appeared anew.
Hotline Bling #40 ^.^
Had no idea you lot in NSW graduated that soon. I think BZs explanation makes the most sense though.

30. Hoops
43. Wasn't Expecting That
55. I Want To Love You.

Yay re-entries!

#47 Don't You Worry Child
For the first time today, Downtown's two combined versions put it ahead of What Do You Mean? though still a big streaming gap to overcome.

Took her a while but Lana Del Rey got to #1 on albums.
#84 - Zhu & Alunageorge - Automatic

I'd like for Til' It Happens To You to be successful
Ain't Nobody has hit the top 5. Not something i expected when i was listening to it in April, especially when it had still not charted in July
1. What Do You Mean? (100.00%)
2 + 51. Downtown (93.96% + 10.63%)

Nice to see Suga Suga in the Top 100
Jeez I can't remember when the top of the iTunes Charts have been this stagnant for such a prolonged period... It's only been like a week or so, but Bieber, Maklemore and Swift haven't/aren't moving anywhere...
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis >108% now
Drake & Future's mixtape is #1.

Also Tenterfield Saddler is #27 + #51 which is noteworthy if it's actually allowed to chart next week.
Presumably it was mentioned on X Factor tonight that Justin Bieber is going to perform on it soon as he's nearly back to combined #1 status.

On the other hand, songs that were performed on XF tonight:

25. Like I'm Gonna Lose You
42. Take Me To Church
49. Say Something
80. You Ruin Me
180. Pretty Hurts
199. Give Me Love

Also Omi is up to #10 & Drake is up to #23
Sugar #7

#7-#11 are all very close atm. I hate it when two songs with the same name are hits in the same year. This is better than the Maroon 5 one though, so i'll have to pretend that one doesn't exist (I was kinda trying to do that already but...).
XF:

39. Fight Song
65. One Last Time
106. Yound and Beautiful
119. Believe [Cher]
1. One Direction - Infinity
Their November-poised album is also #1 on pre-orders, lock in 5 #1s now

Ooh and The Hills is outselling Can't Feel My Face now.
8. Hula Hoop
14. Whip It!
20. Hotline Bling
24. Hoops
40. Same Old Love
42. Ahead Of Myself
84. Young And Beautiful.
X Factor:

22. Let It Go
26. Shut Up and Dance
37. Show Me Love
44. Start Again
48. Wasn't Expecting That
116. Let Her Go
172. Radioactive
173. Drunk In Love
178. Jolene
186. Love The Way You Lie
Does anyone know if Infinity's drop which moved JB from 55% to 89% is the biggest drop ever other than a deletion? Cause I've never seen one bigger
downtown ahead of Bieber. Is it close to shit direction?
DOWNTOWN #1!
WOO!

Still a close top 3 though, but I'm hoping it can make #1
I don't want no beef, but I just want to warn that Justin Bieber is gonna be on X Factor I think on Tuesday

Also wowzer, The Hills is nearly #10 combined.

@bluezombie turn the record over 1000 times, then swim in a fountain just once, and then add the number of people who fell in water while Civil Twilight were playing. Go to the thread with that ID number and find my first post there.

Downtown is still #1 and is on discount now. I can see it be #1 this week or next week.
Sugar #4 and close to #3

If this outpeaks Waves too
Blimey, LunchMoney Lewis is in the top 10

But not really because The Weeknd combined is level with Felix (and Nico & Vinz are still a little higher)

Also Drake #14, Disclorde #20, RÜFÜS #51, Birds of Tokyo #100

Edit: Actually never mind on Whip It, Sia has swooped in at #9

Was Jess Mauboy on X Factor??
Dawin and Silento on the same song!? Being the worst individually wasn't enough for them? Has to be one of the signs of the apocalypse.
@BillyBrett yes she was

I was hoping Downtown would drop more after Bieber's performance, looks like it might still be #1 on ARIA anyway. Hopefully streaming can get What Do You Mean? over the line again
I'm just disappointed Silento doesn't start his verse with 'you already know who it is'

And yep she was Billy!

#570. Chris Isaak - Wicked Game
#1281. Chriss Isaack - Wicked Game
N/A. The Weeknd - Wicked Games
That Cyrus thing is at #6 now

Wish X Factor had done like The Voice this year and not release their stupid performances on iTunes.
What strikes me as unusual about it is that they're setting them up as pre-orders for the next sales week, so instead of getting 4 days of sales, they're essentially getting 11, implying that they clearly want to hit the chart. I'm at least curious to see how last week's go. The flipside to the arrangement though is that they'll likely always be dropping out after a week, and being only on pre-order during their time of impact will probably just lessen their sales.
On My Mind is #1

How/why in the world are The 1975 at #11 and why, oh why isn't it at least half as good as Sex?
Because nothing is at least half as good as sex.
Probably the only person who honestly cares but Enya's new album has cracked #200 on pre-orders.
Was it your pre-order that got it there Billy?
lmao savage

Love Me is #8 now and also:
#7 Wicked Game
#49 Same Old Love
#91 Suga Suga
#115 Kiss Me
#150 Indian Summer
The Game has the #1 album which is something I did not expect in 2015.
No it wasn't antonnalan. Obviously there is a more obsessive Enya fan in Australia then me LOL. I never pre-order digital albums.
The Hills has an Eminem remix and a Nicki Minaj remix so now it's #5 combined.

Like a Version back to #1 on albums.

Edit: now The Hills is #2 combined

I hear mars is looking good this time of year and they've found water there so maybe i'll migrate there until they cancel x factor and get these reality singing contests off the air for good.
Are this year's X Factor performance releases still the silly recorded live versions? Or are they actually studio versions like The Voice did or American Idol have been doing? Cause honestly I have no problem with the X Factor releases if they are studio based - even if I don't agree with them charting. But if a pathetic live recording is topping the iTunes chart than that really is pathetic
^ They are the recorded live versions.
Then I'm on board the 'Stop buying that crap Australia! train
Don't Be So Hard On Yourself #7
To accompany that, "Love Me Like You" is #18.
Jess Glynne now up to #4 and looking a danger to Ellie.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are back at #1 though The Hills has a 5% lead still.
Okay Hijinx we get it! You like the hills... I want every member of this site from this Friday not to look at the iTunes top songs for a whole week. Don't investigate to see percentages or see what's got lots of streamed or discounted or anything. Make your predictions for the week and then tell me how good it felt to have a countdown given to you without knowing the outcomes. It's great to know the songs even greater a treat to see how it all unfolds. So just give it a try. I'll even do predictions this week. I recommend of course choosing one person to do your updates as such just so you don't have a gaping whole in your data..
Don't Be So Hard On Yourself #2 now which is pretty great, looks like it could be top 10 on the next (and if not that one, the one after) chart

Also of note:
#39 I Was Me
#92 Burn Away
#104 Cheater
#107 Speak Easy

Also I love that Here has been hovering just inside and just outside the top 100 lately, hopefully it can rise some more and re-enter on ARIA

Haha NateBoi, I was just thinking about saying the same thing

I'm personally hoping "The Hills" doesn't make #1 like it did in the States. Just seems to be getting worse with each listen.

It'd also piss me off if that made #1 and his superior song, "Can't Feel My Face", did not.
Aye to be fair, in only one of my last 24 posts in this thread have I put forward a legitimate opinion on a song, and that was just with an emoticon, and it was a different song But I've just been back from the doctor dealing with my anxiety so I don't need this, enjoy your corny Macklemore song
I actually like the hills. Anyways who's up for ignore week?
I'll go along with ignore week, but i suck at making predictions so i'll skip that part. People can say you love a song, but mix it up a little is what i'd say. Nothin to get stressed about guys,we can all be polite here i'm sure.Just like i can say i don't love a single song in the entire top 40 and know that every member here would disagree with me and i respect that lol
I can be your update guy, this sort of thing isn't for me lol
Eh I'd maybe do it if your post didn't come across as so condescending... I have been paying less attention to iTunes lately anyway, I do look at it almost daily but never in much detail like I used to. Not that it's an issue either way, I do get suspense from the chart (especially thanks to streaming ) which is totally cool enough for me.

Also Wicked Game is now down to #6, I presume it will be out of the top 10 by midnight. A good thing since I don't really want it too high on Saturday's chart
I kinda agree with nate(no real surprise there) it's become so easy to predict the debuts each week, even if you don't know the number/position it'll enter at, you just look at the itunes chart and you can pretty much get it about 85-90% accurate. I personally remember when i would look at the top 50 every week, this is over 10 years ago mind you and felt surprised that some of my favourite songs managed to make it top 50.
O.K.

Zacco. Sit on my middle finger & rotate. 2016 is my 10th anniversary here & by God do I give a flying F what some whiny grudge holding irritant perceives each & every post I write. You don't like me I get it. Just continue to ignore anything I post because it's better that way. I'm 30 years old & in my time I've learnt that if there's a guy behind a screen with a constant complaint he is probably a weedy know it all know nothing skinny ass virgin with self esteem issues.

I do not give a hoot about your 5 cents. Shoo...
I think people can percieve things differently and while i am fond of zaccy from my time spent in the chat room here and i respect what he's saying, but i never saw what nate said as condescending at all. But as i say people are gonna always percieve things differently. Wouldn't ideally someone wanna go along with an idea on merit, whether it works on paper or not, rather than someone coming across as condecending. Maybe i'm living in bizarro world where things appear to make sense, but don't lol
I didn't find it condescending, but rather disheartening. Y'all should know how much I struggle to speak up, what with my mental issues, and to invoke a reaction when I really haven't been saying anything provocative is not something I need.

But, I've got bigger issues on my mind and I'm not mad or angry at all right now

To keep on topic, Wicked Game is down to #7, and Reality is up to #65.
The tone of it came across as "my way is the only right way" but maybe that's just me.

As for you Nate do you really blame for me not liking you after the abuse you hurled at myself and others in the chat room multiple times? Or the way you've had numerous petty arguments with people just because they disagree with you (or say something you don't agree with)? It also doesn't help when you try and use the fact that you've been on the site for almost 10 years as a way of being somehow superior.

What I possibly find more irritating though is how insistent you are on assuming things about my life outside the site. What makes you think you have any idea?
Why is the Top 10 so boring in America? I just stumbled across the American iTunes and it's really crap compared to ours. Maybe "What Do You Mean?" & possibly "Locked Away" from the slow bore fest, it's weird how so many boring songs there are compared to Australia (granted that our Top 10 has some

USA Top 10 (1-2/10 are not boring)
1. Hotline Bling (1.0)
2. The Hills (Remix) (0.837)
3. The Hills (0.684)
4. Wildest Dreams (0.673)
5. Stitches (0.618)
6. What Do You Mean? (0.604)
7. Same Old Love (0.598)
8. Ex's & Oh's (0.567)
9. Locked Away (0.506)
10. Like I'm Gonna Lose You (0.488)

Australia Top 10 (4-6/10 are not boring but the Top 3 is pretty lively.)
1. Downtown (1.0)
2. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself (0.865)
3. On My Mind (0.811)
4. Sugar (0.795)
5. What Do You Mean? (0.746)
6. Wicked Game from X Factor (0.729)
7. Lay It All On Me (0.713)
8. Hotline Bling (0.662)
9. Dessert (0.614)
10. The Hills (Remix) (0.58)

On something off-topic, "Never Forget You" is at #63
Rather than comment on what zaccy and jinx said, and i don't agree with eveything said,i'm too tired to wanna continue the debate that seems to be going on(and i think buls will come in and slap us around if we digress too much) so i will just say if you don't agree with someone then just be polite and say i don't agree, but i respect your view. I don't agree with half the things that jinx or zaccy or even others say but it's their opinion at the end of the day. This would have been over if only in reply to nate's idea it was said it doesn't work for me(which jinx did say) instead of putting out accusations. To get back on topic though that U.S itunes top 10 is dull. No one act seems to breakout from the crowd..the most popular stuff wins out. I mean c'mon 'like i'm gonna lose you'? really? it's had it's turn and it's rubbish (In my own possibly flawed personal opinion)
Come on guys. There's no need to get so personal.
It always seems to me that whenever nate has an opinion everyone immediately jumps gets on his jock as if automatically he's wrong. When someone adds gasoline to an already hot fire of course there's gonna be problems and nate's back gets up and he comes out swinging. My intent is not to take sides, whatever's happened in the past between peeps leave it in the past and just go forward and be happy and try to see the other person's P.O.V. Life's too short for arguments.

I'd provide an Itoons update to keep this post on topic but i'm not looking at it,remember
How about I clean this up later tonight?
I dunno personally if it's that necessary. It'll get pushed up screen in the coming days anyway and will all be mostly forgotten. I'd no idea that Jess Glynne had been in the country and had even been on XF until it was mentioned that her album had gone #1. I've never even heard her music
Not even Rather Be
Not even that, tennis. I don't have much of an interest in modern music so unless i happen to see the video for a song on tv or i hear it on radio(which i rarely listen to anyway) then i'm usually oblivious.
To be fair jinx, you have talked about 'The Hills' a lot (though i do accept that you haven't been giving an actual opinion on it) on the 10th october, the 12th and twice on the 14th,and before that way back on the 25th september. I'm not criticising you, just pointing out facts.

Amount of years on this site doesn't give anyone the right to not be judged harshly for the words spoken in any post.

And for that, Nate, that was too much.

We all love the charts, and this site. While we might have differing opinions, addressing people in that manner doesn't have any place in any civil discourse. I honestly don't care if Zacco has been hounding you with constant complaints, because nothing of what you wrote is warranted from that particular exchange or in general, for that matter.

I personally take little weight in what some commentators here say because i don't care for their (entirely!) valid opinions, but I don't belittle those people with slurs and insults. I suggest you do the same.

EDIT: the post by Zacco after Nate's offensive post is pretty unnecessary too, in my opinion, and also goes to the heart of the "play the chart, not the person" philosophy.

So, in saying that, go The Hills

aannnnnd nate's hackles get put up once again...i think now buls needs to come in and delete ALL the related posts because i think this kind of bullying is starting to go a bit far. This is the last i'm gonna comment on this because a) i'm very tired and this is very energy draining stuff, and b) any attempt i make to try and put things said by people in perpective seems to do no good. If anyone has such a problem with what nate says then don't read it. I think jinx did the right thing in saying that nate's idea with the itunes chart was not his thing and like i say i'm fond of zaccy and always will be.For him coming into the chat room on my first night here and talking to me i'll never forget, but by suggesting nate was being condescending just added gasoline to an already raging fire..no wonder nate was gonna come out punches ready in response. Everyone gets on nate's case because he has an opinion that differs. Stop antagonising him by suggesting he's doing something other than that and maybe he won't be so aggressive toward you. It's the closest thing to bullying, tbh. Anyway if anyone wants to delete this post, feel free, just read it first and memo me if you agree/disagree so as not to digress from this thread
I'm off to sleep now guys. Let's all move past this and make tomorrow better ok. love to you all xx

EDIT: I have no comment on 'The Hills' since i have not listened to it
Jesse: I'm simply referring to the lines "weedy know it all know nothing skinny ass virgin with self esteem issues" and "whiny grudge holding irritant".

That is unnecessary, and shouldn't need to be 'not read' in a civil forum... It should not be there in the first place.

EDIT: good call on the love to all

Jessy, Rather Be has been in a recent TV advert (for cars I think). It has some dude doing street side sign spinning or something. *shrugs* I usually tune out the visuals and just enjoy the music in ads. lol
Ah, just came back to read all this.

Hopefully my comments weren't too bad Hijinx, more just stating an opinion rather than anything, as I'm not particularly a fan of that song and there are other songs I'd prefer at #1, but if my words were harmful in any way, I apologize for that.

In saying that, I'll still enjoy my Macklemore song. Should be interesting to see what makes #1 this week given there are a few challengers!
Fret not, I wasn't actually replying to you lol (or at least, you didn't set me off or anything).

Incidentally Jesse, we're almost at 500 posts here so maybe tomorrow we'll have a new thread anyway
First world issues, just woke up, so much to digest. Zacco just sees any of my posts and takes aim. You're clearly caught up in something so small & trivial that happened along time ago I have forgotten. I don't know anything about you zacco my comment about the person behind a screen is because that's my experience whether you fit the bill or not ...? Who knows, who cares. I'll continue to stand up for me. I focus on music majority of my posts are star related. Just stop trolling my posts and interpreting them in a negative way and taking aim because you're holding a grudge. I say I've been on here for that long because it shows my dedication. I've had some arguments but all are long forgotten because each party respected each others opinions at the end of the day. Move on. That's it in a nutshell. I thought it would be cool for everyone to feel the unknown come chart rollout... Simples.

Jesse pls listen. One of the best songs of 2014 IMO
I'll give it a listen, tennis. I remembered today seeing the video on one of those saturday morning shows at the time it was released, just never heard it. On the subject of videos,i saw the video for the macklemore cheese fest. Good grief, that has more cheese in it than a cheese toastie
I don't want no beef, but Macklemore should really spend more time promoting Firework over his song, that'll be the push it needs.

part 24 yo http://australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&id=45239&pages=
Good song. The video is a bit annoying, but i just minimised the window and listened to the music. Jess has a good voice. I think some music videos can put people off listening to a song.
