Great way to bring in the new year with Reality #1! Great to see that The Trouble With Us made it all the way there too. It's nice to see Adventure Of A Lifetime, Pretty Pimpin', Turn The Music Louder, Break Up In A Small Town, Magnets, Stitches (amazing run ) and Be Right There among others there, and great to see Sax debut!
Great to see Chris Stapleton at #2, hope he can go all the way to the top. Also an excellent jump for Bieber into the top five, and wow at Cam's jump! I'm trying to make myself love Burning House, but I just can't get it there yet. I haven't heard the top fifty entries for Luke Bryan or Zac Brown Band yet, but yay to both. Sax and Youth are also good too.
Great to see Bieber charting. And I can't believe I typed that.
Will definitely have to pull out the Carly Rae album now and check out the two songs that are charting on members charts.
Great leap up for 1D's History. It will likely debit on my chart next week.
Great debut for Fleur, hope it moves up and not out next week.
What do you think of Lousia Johnson's winning song? While it is charting on my chart at the moment. I do think it is the 'worst' winners song ever for the series. Nothing against the vocals, it's just such a nothing song with no hook to remember it by. Its struggling big time on my chart and will most likely be the least successful charting winner's song since Little Mix's Cannonball.
Thanks for all the comments. @bz - Cam took a while for me and I probably wish it had a little bit more happening in it but for now I like it. It reminds me a little of Taylor Swift's 'Safe & Sound' which I loved. I am getting into a lot of ZBB recently, so don't be surprised if you get it a bit in SongPop haha! @BillyBrett - I feel sorry for Louisa, I think it's a nice song but doesn't do so much, but to me the worst winner's song is the ever awful 'Impossible' which didn't click with me at all despite it becoming such a big hit down here. I'm definitely in the minority but it rubs me up the wrong way for some reason and I didn't like The Climb so much either.
So this week, Selena Gomez scores her first hit. I really want this track to be a big hit - but I don't think it will happen. I love it right now though! It's Selena's first #1 hit, Who Says, Come & Get It and The Heart Wants What It Wants all peaked at #3, while her biggest hit on my chart, Love You Like a Love Song, peaked at #4.
Still unsure on Hands To Myself, need to give it more listens. Good to see Reality was #1 last week + the debuts for Sax and YOUTH last week and Be Right There making it this week. Great to see Love Yourself, All My Friends, Sax, Nobody Really Cares If You Don't Go To The Party and YOUTH. I hope Stay can make the top 50 next week.
awesome to see Selena Gomez, Bieber and Snakehips all populating the top 5 with awesome songs respectively. not a big fan of the Adele spam but it's nice to see her singles in there, YAY @ CAM ENTERING THE TOP 10 YESSS! Very sad to see Stitches go - Shawn Mendes is one of my favourite artists right now.
I was going to say Reality was my favourite #1 of yours in a while but then I briefly overlooked The Trouble With Us Most of my faves fall, but yay Courtney Barnett up and special mention to Kurt Vile and Tamey.
@Fernando - sad that Ellie missed out on the Oscars! I'm pretty sure 'Secret Love Song' and 'Army' are (SLS was announced on their FB page, Army has a video clip) not sure on Carly Rae's track, although maybe she's given up even though she had so many good tracks on this album! @Hijinx - being slow on Diplo - sometimes all this dance stuff melds into one for me, until I listen to the track properly and decide that I like it considerably more than some of the other dance hits that are on the charts atm. If that makes sense. @irelander - yay, we hold some songs in common
Here is this week's chart, Selena remains at #1 with this song that I can't get out of my head.
Great to see Adele up to two and Snakehips up another place is cool too. Awesome jump for Sax, but big ouch for Love Yourself! An excellent jump for Thomas Rhett also, and great to see Duke Dumont, Carrie Underwood and David Bowie all making the top fifty.
Hands To Myself definitely gets better each time I hear it. Good debuts for Never Be Like You and Lazarus along with the re-entry for Ocean Drive. Awesome to see All My Friends, Sax, Lush Life, Be Right There, Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go To The Party and YOUTH all on the rise. Nice rebound for Here too. Really hope Player can make the top 50!
Ooh, I went back to All I Ask after the viral boost and definitely quite a good one. Still hoping When We Were Young gets the push but I'd be ok with that one as well! I see you've continued the Diplo stakes with Duke Dumont this week haha Great to have Lazarus in too. I need to listen to it some more to see if it can do the same for me.
So much movement! Great to see Adele and Snakehips hit the top three, as well as rises for Fleur East, Adele, Justin Bieber, Zara Larsson and 1D. Nice debut for Jonas Blue, and a pleasing return for Duke Dumont. Poor Love Yourself
Hey, thanks for commenting everyone Love Yourself is just beginning to get on my nerves these days, I don't know why. Also don't know why Ocean Drive has only really clicked with me these past few weeks
Selena Gomez holds the #1 spot for the third week, who knows why!
Hello AlleyT! Love your chart full of songs that I like.
I also like it how we like the same genres of music.
Sia "Unstoppable" is a power ballad, gosh I hope it enters Top 50 soon. Panic at the Disco" debuts at #32, can't the debut at #1 on US Albums chart and knock off Adele??
Carly Rae Jepsen "Making Most of Night" is that an official single released off album?? I love her songs "I Really Like You" and "Run Away with Me".
Ellie Goulding "Army", love the video clip, I also heard she is rush releasing "Something In The Way You Move", as the 3rs single? It's Catchy, you might like it??
Little Mix peaks in Top 5!! Yay!
Selena Gomez - Hands to Myself!! Remains at #1, I really hope the track becomes her 2nd Top 10 hit on Aria charts soon. Hopefully the song becomes her 3rd consecutive Top 5 hit on Billboard Hot 100. Changing record labels has really revived her career and taken her success to the next level.
Did you watch the SNL performances of "Hands to Myself", it was sultry and steamy. Omg she sings so well live, meanwhile other artists crash and burn during SNL performances, she delivers and sings so well live.
Great to see that I like all of your top 5 except for the #1! Although I'd love it the other way around.
Nice to see all the Adele, especially Send My Love (To Your New Lover), which is now my favourite Adele track. Also awesome to see the massive rise for Tinashe, and that Alessia Cara and Disclosure had good runs.
Thanks for all the commenting again - so good to have you back Fernando. I loved Selena's performance, although it's hard for me to watch some of her more recent stuff as all I see is Wizards of Waverley Place, which I guess is part of the reason why she is doing it. Looks like the next CRJ single is 'All That'. It's good as well
Great to see All My Friends, Never Be Like You (great rise - would've been #1 if my charts were still a countdown), Youth, Trouble With Us, Reality, Lazarus, Roses ,Stressed Out, Ocean Drive, The Less I Know The Better, Player, Lush Life, I'm In control, Innerbloom (!), and Stay all in.
Nice for Adele! Slightly surprised it's only her 5th #1 but then that's hardly anything to sniff at nonetheless. Courtney in the top 10 is rad! Deception Bay, Roses & I'm In Control are cool entries, go Carly next week!
I have not heard the #1 because Spotify etc but obviously it's great to see Alessia Cara, Adele, Selena and Lost Frequencies(!) make the top spot in recent times (+ Be Right There's top 10 peak <3). Love the rise for Flume and go YOUTH, Nobody Really Cares..., Ex's & Oh's, Roses, Stressed Out, Player, Eyes Shut & Innerbloom for those rises. Best wishes for Aluna and Carly!
Nice to see Adele at #1, hoping Sax can get there next though! Great to see Deception Bay, Roses, Stressed Out and I'm In Control make it in. And rises for Never Be Like You, Nobody Really Cares If You Don't Go To The Party, Lazarus and Player. And I like that Be Right There made the top 10 last week. Your Type to make the top 50 next week hopefully!
@Hijinx - I agree it's strange! But then I think right off the bat I like songs from her albums and they chart prematurely, like Set Fire To The Rain, or what is happening to When We Were Young now... I don't know. I like her a lot more than five number one suggest!! Thanks for the comments everyone Been listening to a little bit of Triple J this week so I'm enjoying some unusual tracks at the moment. Also, I don't know how old some of these songs are like Deception Bay, but I really like it right now, so apologies if it's like mega old
Static top four this week, Boy & Bear are the biggest debut.
Good to see debuts for Hymn For The Weekend and I Took A Pill In Ibiza. Plus Your Type making the top 50. Liking the rises for Deception Bay, Nobody Really Cares If You Don't Go To The Party, Ocean Drive, Roses and I'm In Control. Still hoping Sax can get to #1 but a #3 peak is awesome enough anyway. Hope In2 can make the top 50 next week.
haha, Deception Bay is not the oldest song here I think if it helps omg Courtney & Duke are still climbing woo! I also think I might like that Mike Posner track?? (the remix at least). Yay to Carly getting another top 50.
Haha, that's pretty cool Lifter - you live right near a #1 (on my chart) artist @Hijinx - that's good to know!! And yes it is the Mike Posner remix but haven't committed the name of remix to mind and too lazy to look for it on a Monday night haha. Thanks for the comments everyone.
Some artists struggle to #1 but I'm just loving Deception Bay right now. Poor Selena had to wait until her sixth album (including her work with The Scene).
Wow Deception Bay. Good to see it at #1 though, I hope it can hold off Secret Love Song. Make Me Like You is really good so very happy to see it debut, along with Cheap Thrills. The rises for Nobody Really Cares If You Don't Go To The Party, YOUTH, Never Be Like You, Ocean Drive, Stressed Out and I Took A Pill In Ibiza are pleasing to see. I really hope Light It Up can make it in next week!
Deception Bay at #1 is nice but When We Were Young would be an even better #1. Faded and Wild Things debuting is good, while I Took A Pill In Ibiza (SeeB Remix), Roses, I'm In Control, Make Me Like You, In2 and Gold moving up is great. Oh Canada and Hide Away are good tracks too, let's see them make the top 50 next week!
Great to see Lukas Graham, Selena Gomez, Flume, Troye Sivan, Mike Posner, Snakehips, Chainsmokers, ALunaGeorge, Coldplay, Twenty One Pilots, Tame Impala, Lost Frequencies, Vance Joy, Diplo, and Kiarra.
Brilliant to see 'Eyes Shut' and 'Make Me Like You' making small in roads and improving their peaks, and Lumineers jumping 10 is a bonus!!!! Also great to see Lukas Graham, Flume, Sia, Sivan, Alan Walker, Bowie and Disclosure. Plus more bonus points for the BIG jump for 'Straight Into Your Arms'!
Hey team have been mega slack commenting on everyone's charts - so thanks for commenting here @Mykl - I wouldn't be surprised re Ocean Drive although I feel like I've had a 16,16,16,16 too, I can't remember what it was though @Hijinx - I think your bday is 29 Feb so happy birthday!
BOO SEEKA holds the top spot for a third week. Also the version I'm digging is the Triple J live version, I've bought the proper version but I much prefer the live one. Might be just me... Here is this week's chart:
Hey again Alleyt! Super cool to see that someone else loves Secret Love Song! (I thought nobody would tbh) Although, the best song in your Top 10 right now is ALAN WALKER!! I hope he does even better in the coming weeks
Also great to see Cheap Thrills at #11, I have little doubt it will crack the Top 10 with that big jump for the song Not a bad looking chart overall!
So cool to see When We Were Young take the top spot!!! It's edging closer for me but idk if it will make it or not! Sia, Selena, Troye, Demi, Joel all in the top 20 is awesome! And cool to see that you're charting New Romantics so high! Is Company the new JB single or are ou just enjoying it?
Sad to see Lazarus go, hope that Dance Off can enter your top 50 soon
Ooh When We Were Young. Nice to see I Took A Pill In Ibiza move up to #2 as well. I like those debuts for Company and Kamikaze, along with the rises for I'm In Control, Cheap Thrills, Gold and Work From Home.
@Hijinx - I tell you what I'm screwed with whatever Adele's next single is ... half of her album has already charted for me. I think she will be silly not to release Send My Love (although I doubt that her label care so much for singles, since so many people have bought the album!) @bsb - I'm not sure about Company, radio has started playing it here though. Here we go with this week's chart, and a new #1 for an artist who I never would have expected to reach #1 for me, ever...
AMAZING to see NO debut so high!! Such an amazing song, one of her best by far! Not a fan of your #1, a nice jump for Company though! - I'll have to give that a few more listens to decide if I wanna debut it or not! Nice to see such a smashing re-entry from Kelly Clarkson as well as a debut for Shakira!!
I 100% agree with you re. Send My Love, I just hope she releases it!
Great to see Meghan debut so high, and that Little Mix continue to rise! Nice to see Demi rise again, and that Selena is high up behind her. I love both Ariana's new one and Kelly's so good to see them both enter/re-enter. Sad to see Adele dropout but good to see it had a good run!
Ooh nice for I Took A Pill In Ibiza going #1. I'm In Control or Cheap Thrills at #1 would be great too. Great to see NO and Dangerous Woman debut plus rises for Wild Things, Kamikaze, Company and Work From Home.
Yeah I can see that or Water Under The Bridge as being the next single, but then at the same time it doesn't really feel like they tried very hard with WYWY so maybe they won't bother? Anyway, that's a very cool top 4 and I'd love to see AlunaGeorge or Sia take the top. Also quite like Meghan Trainor's song, and Ariana's was promising on first listen.
Some really good debuts this week, love seeing Loud Places, Always, Something New and Be The One! Improvements for I'm In Control, Cheap Thrills, NO, Wild Things, Dangerous Woman, One Strike, Company and Work From Home are great too. Awesome chart this week!
Oh and awesome seeing Don't Let Me Down not far from the top 50. Would love for that to do well here! Last edited:
I am still not into your Top 2 yet unfortunately, but its great to see Cheap Thrills at #3 and Secret Love Song still hanging in there! Nice jump for Work From Home and the debut for Samantha Jade as well
Thanks again for commenting everyone. Little Mix score their third number one (and also their third from Get Weird), it took them a while but the song has just grown and grown for me. Jason Derulo scores his first number one at the same time... other news is that All I Ask moves to <P>2. I can't see myself getting sick of it anytime soon either...
omg yes Jamie xx, reminding me I need to add up the 2015 ACI points at some point Also that's a really nice top 5/10, great to have Sia/AlunaGeorge hit the top 2, and that Little Mix track keeps growing on me too! Woo also for Nicole Millar and positive progress with Dua Lipa/Chris Stapleton.
Close and Tremble debuting last week This week having both Free and Say You Do is even more delightful however I hope One Strike can go to #1, what an awesome rise for it this week. Nice for Dangerous Woman, Loud Places, Always, Don't Let Me Down and Be The One too. Love Song and Kiss It Better would be nice for next week also
Thanks everyone for commenting again - yes All Saints are good! Loving that track but unfortunately a tough top two to crack this week... could be a change next week but who knows! Here is this week's chart:
Cheap Thrills at #1 is nice. I hope Free can make it too. One Dance debuting last week is good to see and I'm liking the debuts for Say It and I Remember this week. Great to see Don't Let Me Down made the top 10. I like the improvements for i hate u, i love u, Tremble, Be The One, Settle and One Dance. Boy Problems and Panda for top 50 next week!
This Is What You Came For and True Colors both need time to grow for me, but it's nice to see both debut this week. The rises for i hate u, i love u, Tremble, Settle, Fall Together, Gold, One Dance, Boy Problems, You Were Right (lol) and Light It Up grab my attention more, though. Would be nice to Panda, and Give Me Your Love to a lesser extent make the top 50 next week.
Yay Free got there in the end CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! and Burn The Witch are nice to see debut and lovely rises for Tremble, One Dance, Be The One, Boy Problems, Gold, This Is What You Came For, Light It Up and Panda.
Excellent for Free! Wow Nicole Millar all the way up to #3 too Liking those big jumps into the top 10 for Drake & Carly, and Jack Garratt's got some impressive momentum behind him as well! Definitely into seeing the eclectic stylings of Justin Timberlake, Radiohead & Desiigner debuting, and I need to hear Alicia's new track as I'm only hearing good things about it.
Hey thanks for commenting everyone - strangest #1 this week for me. I don't know quite why I like this song so much but I do, and I just had it on repeat for a large portion of last week! As if one country song in the top five wasn't enough, Chris Stapleton scores a huge debut with my favourite effort from Traveller (after buying the album this past week)...
Additionally, we're five months into the year and Secret Love Song is still in the top ten... it's chart run thus far: 16 8 5 4 4 2 2 4 9 7 5 1 1 1 2 2 2 5 9. It seems to be a strong contender for #1 of 2016...
Go Free! Nice to see Couldn't Believe and Hell of A Girl debut and the new peaks for One Dance, i hate u, i love u, Gold, This Is What You Came For, Light It Up, CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! and Do It Right.
Go Broods! Nice to see some solid rises for Drake, Dami Im, Calvin Harris, Delta, JT, Galantis and Little Mix. Awesome to see Adele back, and I wouldn't be disappointed if Meghan Trainor hit the top fifty next week
Nice to see debuts for Hotter Than Hell and Into You as well as the rises for Sound Of Silence, Gold, This Is What You Came For, Couldn't Believe, CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! and Hell Of A Girl. Final Song to make it next week plz
Hey thanks for taking the time to comment everyone much appreciated! This week it's another new #1, and it's only his second - the new Justin Timberlake track pushes from #12 to #1. His first #1 is Mirrors although Rock Your Body, SexyBack and My Love all reached #2. Here is the chart:
Into You is something that I am indeed [s]in2[/s] into so great to see that rise. I hope it gets to #1. Have yet to hear In My Blood but This Is A War and This Girl are both good ones and I do like seeing One Dance, Hell Of A Girl and Final Song move up.
Great to see Ariana Grande, Grace (such a shame 'Hell Of A Girl' is hell of a flop ), Jarryd James x Broods, Drake, Jack Garratt (wow, cool to see it reached #1 ), Calvin Harris, Little Mix, Flume, MO, Kiiara, Nicole Millar, Kungs x Cookin' on 3 Burners, Sigala (wish SYD this was a bigger hit that the previous two hits tbh), and Gnash all in this week! Hope to see 21P soon.
Hi everyone @TravD - I agree re Hell of a Girl it should have taken off but I don't here it anywhere whatsoever! Thanks for commenting everyone Ariana spends another week at #2 this week as Grace scores her first #1
Good week for twenty one pilots it seems! Happy for Heathens as I'm liking it a bit at the moment. Dark Necessities is another one that's better than expected. Lots of rebounds too, amazing to see Weathered still so high, and omg Into You is so unlucky
Debuts for Sledgehammer, Higher, Too Good, Cold Water, Make Me... and Starving are all good to see. I also like that Heathens, Make Me..., Perfect Strangers, 1955, Papercuts and Alarm are all on the rise this week. Pity Don't Be So Shy hasn't made the top 10, I hope it still has a chance!
Surprised to see how well Twenty One Pilots have been doing for you Lovely to see that Final Song got to #1, and Still Falling For You, Side To Side and Cancer are pretty cool also. Nice to see The River, My Way, Body Say, Scars To Your Beautiful, Starboy and Once In A While charting too.
Nice to see Starboy doing so well, and Shout Out To My Ex and Rockabye having gone #1 too. Great to see debuts for Stranger, Drum, Catch 22, Tear In My Heart, Cool Girl, Set In Stone, Hurt Anymore, After The Afterparty, Higher, Versace On The Floor, Fighting For Love, Rockabye, Sexual!!!, I Would Like, In My Mind, Love$ick, Slumber Party, Make Me (Cry), Fresh Eyes, Bad Things, So Good, I Feel It Coming!!!, Call On Me and Everglow debut since my last comment. Love that Body Say went top 10 and I do hope Sexual and/or I Feel It Coming can get to #1.
Love love love Heavy! The whole chart is good but great seeing The Weeknd jump as well as TSwift/Zayn with their duet! Hopefully Versace On The Floor can rebound because it's amazing. Slumber Party rising is fantastic!! my #1 right now, I hope it can find success omg - probably my fave chart on this site!
Yes Touch! Damn I hope it can continue to climb! I love Sexual too so I'm loving it's chart run so far. A huge fan of Love$ick too so good to see it in the top 10. We share a couple of #1's in Shout Out to My Ex, Side to Side and The Greatest so yay for that. Great to see Say You Won't Let Go, Rise Up, Capsize, Call on Me and Let Me Love You all in here too, and though I'm not a huge fan of Slumber Party, it's always great to see Tinashe doing well so yay for all of that. Always loved your chart, so good to see it still going strong (if a little behind). Last edited:
Sexual!!! Awesome to see it at #1. Cranes In The Sky is a good song so I'm glad to see it chart here, and great to see So Good and I Would Like move up. Black Beatles is a tune so I do hope that has a chance at top 50 glory.
Absolutely love your top 4! Great to see them all do so well! Of the rest, I like/love One Dance, Never Be Like You, Into You, Side to Side, When We Were Young, Hands to Myself, The Greatest, Make Me..., Be The One, Say You Won't Let Go, All My Friends, Shout Out to My Ex, NO, This Is What You Came For, Let Me Love You, Say You Do, Me Too, Hello, Pink + White, Just Like Fire, Ain't My Fault, Sound of Silence, Better, Dear Life, Body Say, Water Under The Bridge, Crash, Don't Let Me Down, Dangerous Woman, Capsize, Cold Water, Rockabye, Love on the Brain, In My Blood, Treat You Better, Sexual, Starving, Piece by Piece, Perfect Strangers, Something New, Always, Set In Stone, Scars to Your Beautiful, All In My Head (Flex), Stone Cold, Company, Love$ick, Work From Home, Hair, Love Me Now and Where I'll Stay so great to see them all make it.
