Australia still has a "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran at the summit of the ARIA Singles Chart for now an eighth consecutive week (the same amount in England, Ireland and New Zealand also), and with his third album "÷ (Divide)" out as of Friday (3rd March), it could either remain at the top again next week (thanks to the album), or drop down (due to people only buying the album more than the single).

Ed Sheeran has now amassed fourteen weeks at No.1 in Australia with his three chart-topping singles, and that has moved him to equal fifth for 'Most Weeks at No.1: 2010's; Singles' alongside the 14 wks notched up by Katy Perry (with 3 #1's) and Flo Rida (from 2 #1's), and if he stays again next week for a 15th week, he will own that ouright, as his next competition at 16 weeks are Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The current No.1's eighth week at the top also makes it one of five songs this decade which have lasted that long at the top, alongside last years "7 Years" for Lukas Graham, and "Shape of You" is now equal fourth longest for this decade (so far).

The Chainsmokers and Coldplay team up for this weeks No.2 debutee "Something Just Like This", one of seven new entries this week, and the first six all start with the letter 'S'. By entering at No.2 it becomes Coldplay's highest new entry, and third to enter within the Top 10, the first was "Speed of Sound" (debuted and peaked at No.9, May 2005) and then their first of two No.2 songs "Viva La Vida" (entered at No.6, HP-2, June 2008), whilst the bands second No.2 was with "A Sky Full of Stars" (July 2014). This high entry also matches the No.2 entry for last years "Closer" (TW-32) for The Chainsmokers (which went on to become the No.1 song for 2016), and overall it becomes the duos seventh Top 10 single in Australia, and one of five Top 100 entries for the act this week, with their other Top 10 entry this week being "Paris", which is down one spot to No.8 this week.

Ed retains his position from last week for "Castle on the Hill", at No.3 again this week, whilst jumping up five places to a new peak of No.4 are Kygo and Selena Gomez with "It Ain't Me", which now becomes both acts first Top 5 single in Australia. Spending its twelfth week within the Top 5 are Zayn and Taylor Swift and the 'Fifty Shades Darker' track "I Don't Wanna Live Forever', which has been no higher than No.3 (for three broken weeks) and now lower than No.5 (for four broken weeks).

After peaking at No.5 last week, Julia Michaels' "Issues" slip back down one spot to No.6, whilst also down a place to No.7 are Katy Perry and Skip Marley with her latest track "Chained to the Rhythm". The second song that is new within the Top 10 this week is Jon Bellion and his first entry "All Time Low", which is up three places to a new peak of No.9, and is the only new certification on either chart this week, cracking Gold (●) in sales in it's fifth week charting, and down two spots to No.10 are Pnau and their "Chameleon", racking up its sixth week within the ten and they are the highest placed Australian act this week too.

* Little Mix see their "Touch" (HP-13) rise back up three places this week to No.14.
* The first new peak outside of the Top 10 is down at No.23, as Jax Jones and Raye jump up seven places to from No.30 with "You Don't Know Me".
* Last weeks Maroon 5 and Future debut with "Cold" is up five places to a new peak of No.27.
* Adele started her national tour in Perth this past week, and that has helped her latest single "Water Under the Bridge" to jump up seven places this week to No.30. Plus she also rises with "Hello" (85 to 69), "Send My Love (to Your New Lover)" (91 to 74) and her first No.1 "Someone Like You" (re-entry at No.95).
* Bruno Mars rises seven places to land at No.40 with his latest track "That's What I Like".
* Justin Timberlake opened up the Oscars performing his nominated song "Can't Stop the Feeling!", which climbs back up four places this week to No.44.
* Imagine Dragons' "Believer" rises back up five places to No.45.
* Holding at its peak of No.52 for a third straight week is Big Sean and "Bounce Back".
* Another Oscar performance sees the song rise in "How Far I'll Go" by Auli'i Cravalho from the film 'Moana', back up fourteen places to No.64. Whilst Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's track from the film "You're Welcome" returns at No.100, could it be because he partially sang the song while presenting at the Oscars!
* The third and final returning track this week is from 2009, Bag Raiders' track "Shooting Stars" (HP-38, peaked No.62 in 2009, then No.38 in August 2013), and now thanks to a photo meme, the track has a new life, re-entering at No.80 here, and newly charting in the US Dance Charts also this past week.

* Last weeks highest entry at No.2 for Ed Sheeran with "How Would You Feel (Paean)" (HP-2, WI10-1) drops down nine places to No.11 this week, with the other exiting track being "Adore" (HP-3x2, WI10-4) by Amy Shark which falls five places to No.15.
* Andy Grammer drops six places to No.19 with his former No.5 hit "Fresh Eyes".
* The Weeknd has no Top 20 entries as of this week, as "I Feel it Coming" is down six to No.21 and "Starboy" falls seven places to No.28.
* Peking Duk's "Stranger" falls six this week to No.31.
* Train's chopstick infused track "Play That Song" falls eight to No.34.
* Last weeks debut for Linkin Park and Kiiara with "Heavy" is down ten this week to No.43.
* Bruno Mars's swaps places with himself this week, as his new track is up seven to No.40, whilst his "24K Magic" is down seven to No.47.
* Another of last weeks Top 50 entries in Lana Del Rey's "Love" is down eight to No.49 this week.
* After peaking at No.29 last week, the 'Lion' track for Sia in "Never Give Up" plummets this week twenty-two places to No.51.
* After a few surges (Grammys, Triple J H100 #1, ARIA Single of the Year) the Flume track "Never Be Like You" is down ten spots this week to No.54.
* With a new Maroon 5 track in circulation, their former No.6 entry "Don't Wanna Know" drops down seventeen places this week to No.60.
* Down nine places each are "Let Me Love You" for DJ Fresh and Justin Bieber and "One Dance" by Drake to No.67 and No.68 respectively.
* Jonas Blue falls eleven spots to No.71 with his Raye infused track "By Your Side".
* Still the longest charting track at 117 weeks is Ed Sheeran and "Thinking Out Loud", which drops eight places to No.73.
* Tash Sultana and her "Jungle" fall thirteen places to No.77.
* After hitting a new peak last week, the Galantis track "Love on Me" is down eleven to No.79.
* Illy and Anne-Marie fall sixteen places to No.88 with their collaboration "Catch 22".
* John Legend might have performed at the Oscars ceremony (his songs from 'La La Land'), but his pop song "Love Me Now" is down fifteen places to No.98.

* #12 - Slide by Calvin Harris feat Frank Ocean and Migos becomes the Scottish DJ and producers 26th Top 100, 22nd Top 50 and now 18th Top 20 entry, whilst the second entries for both guests on the track Frank Ocean (previously charted with "Lost"; entered Oct 2012, peaked at No.46 in February 2013) and Migos who are currently charting with "Bad and Boujee" (TW-50), becoming the first Top 20 placing for both guest acts too.
* #16 - Stay by Zedd feat Alessia Cara is the ninth entry for Russian DJ Zedd (Anton Zaslavski) who seems to have more hits with female vocalists than male, as his six biggest hits so far have all been with guest female vocalists, like Ariana Grande, Hailee Steinfeld, Hayley Williams, Foxes and Selena Gomez (his only non-Top 50 female entry was with Kesha last year), and now he has teamed with Alessia Cara for this weeks No.16 entry "Stay", which is helped by Alessia being in the country this past week on a promo tour, but it didn't help her two other current chart entries in "How Far I'll Go" (down from 19 to 22) and "Scars to Your Beautiful" (down from 27 to 38), but it did help her album to return within the Top 40 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
* #39 - Selfish by Future feat Rihanna becomes the US rappers sixth Top 100 entry and now highest charting solo effort, although he is higher up the charts on the latest Maroon 5 track "Cold" (TW-27), and this is taken from his new album "HNDRXX" (TW-53).
* #55 - Swalla by Jason DeRulo feat Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign becomes the 24th Top 100 entry for Jason, and is the first single from his forthcoming fifth studio album (no date or title known as yet).
* #85 - Still Feel Like Your Man by John Mayer is the lead track from his second EP "The Search for Everything: Wave Two", and follows on from his first volume in December which peaked at No.65.
* #96 - Everyday by Ariana Grande feat Future is the fifth single from her third album "Dangerous Woman", and features current hot rapper Future, with his seventh Top 100 entry (his sixth occured at No.39 this week).

Australian act The Waifs land their first No.1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with their eighth studio set entitled "Ironbark".

"Ironbark" becomes the 799th No.1 Albums in Australia (1965 to 2017) and the 650th for ARIA (1983 to 2016), plus the 443rd to debut at No.1 and the fourth for the Jarrah record label, the previous three were all for label founder John Butler Trio. Overall this becomes the Perth bands fifth Top 10 album, and they have missed out on the top spot previously with "Sun Dirt Water" (HP-2, Sep 2007), and two No.3 sets "Up All Night" (Jan 2003) and "Temptation" (March 2011), whilst their last entry was with the set "Beautiful You" (HP-5, August 2015).

This is the first time that the word 'Ironbark' or even 'Iron' or 'Bark' has been in a No.1 album title, and this is the 214th No.1 album by an Australian Act (solo, duo or group), and the 361st for a group (local or overseas). The Waifs also become the 108th Australian act to hit the top of the Australian Albums Chart and the 61st Australian Group, and finally this becomes the eighth No.1 album for 2017 and the fourth by an Australian act after Kasey Chambers (30-Jan), Dune Rats (13-Feb) and last weeks Busby Marou (27-Feb).

All four Top 10 debuts this week are by Australian acts, and coming in at No.2 are King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard with their ninth album "Flying Microtonal Banana", which is the bands third chart entry and now first ever Top 10 placement, as last years entry for the band "Nonagon Infinity" debuted and peaked at No.19 in May of 2016. Whilst the No.4 debut for Horrorshow and their second Top 10 and second album "Bardo State" enters lower than their first set "King Amongst Many" (HP-2, August 2013).

Adele started her national tour in Perth this past week, and her current album "25" is back up one spot to No.3, whilst her second album "21" rebounds seven places to No.10, for a 74th week within the Top 10. And making an even longer berth within the Top 10 is Ed Sheeran's "x (Multiply)" which racks up its 90th overall week inside the ten, and it holds at No.6 this week ahead of his third albums entry next week (which will become the 800th No.1 Album in Australia since 1965).

There are three albums within the ten all attributed to movie soundtracks, with the "Trolls" set on hold at No.5, recent No.1 "Fifty Shades Darker" drops six places to No.8 and on hold at No.9 (and No.1 in NZ for a fifth week) is the "Moana" soundtrack. The fourth and final Top 10 debut this week falls to local act Holy Holy and their second studio album "Paint" which debuts at No.7, becoming their first Top 10 entry, as their first album "When the Storms Would Come" debuted and peaked at No.11 in August of 2015.

* With the multiple Oscar wins this past week for the film, plus winning and Oscar for 'Song of the Year', the "La La Land" soundtrack is back up four places to No.15.
* Adele has all three of her albums within the Top 20 this week, as her first set "19" jumps back up twenty-five places to land at No.20.
* There is a chart resurgance for the self-titled QSP album this week, back up thirty-four spots to land at a new peak of No.23.
* With the film opening around the country this past week, the "T2 Trainspotting" soundtrack leaps up thirty-two places to land at No.34 this week.
* Alessia Cara was in the country this past week on a promo tour, and that helps her album "Know-it-All" (HP-16) to return to the chart at No.36.
* The new entry for a Hillsong album helps their former No.2 set "Let There Be Light" to rise back up eighteen places to No.57, whilst further religious themed recording in "After All These Years" for Brian & Jenn Johnson returns to the chart at No.71.
* J. Cole is back up twenty-six spots to No.60 with his set "4 Your Eyez Only", and another RnB star in Childish Gambino is back up fifteen spots to No.82 with his "Awaken, My Love!" set.
* Further returning albums this week are by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and their "Greatest Hits" set at No.89, oscar mentioned Prince (in Memoriam) and his first No.1 set "Purple Rain" (#99) and "Bloom" for Rufus (#100).

* Five albums leave the Top 10 this week, first of which is "Human" by Rag'N'Bone Man (HP-3, WI10-2), down five to No.12, the G.H.'s for Guns N' Roses (HP-5, WI10-14) is down five also to No.13, last weeks No.1 debut for Busby Maround in "Postcards from the Shell House" (HP-1, WI10-1) plummets thirteen places to No.14, after returning to the ten last week the Bruno Mars set "24K Magic" (HP-3, WI10-7) falls six to No.16 and the other Top 10 debut from last week in the Ryan Adams set "Prisoner" (HP-3, WI10-1) falls sixteen spots this week to No.19.
* The "Sing" soundtrack falls seven spots this week to No.18, but should rebound soon with the DVD and Blu-Ray release occuring before Easter (mid-April) in Australia.
* Keith Urban drops eight to No.21 with his "Ripcord" album.
* The Tash Sultana EP "Notion" falls thirteen places to No.25.
* The Wiggles' entry from last week "Nursery Rhymes" is down twelve places to No.27, whilst their album "The Best of" is back up eight places to No.39.
* Kasey Chambers drops ten places to No.28 with her recent No.1 set "Dragonfly".
* Plummeting sixteen places to No.30 after its Grammy wins is "Lemonade" for Beyonce.
* Four weeks ago the Dune Rats debuted at No.1 with "The Kids Will Know it's Bullshit"; this week though it is down ten places to No.35.
* Halving its position from last week is Guns N' Roses' "Appetite for Destruction", down twenty places to No.40, whilst their other charting sets "Use Your Illusion Vol.1" (50 to 86) and "Use Your Illusion Vol.2" (41 to 73) also drop now that their tour of Australia is over.

I hereby make the not-so-fearless prediction that ÷ (Divide) will be number 1 on the album charts on 13 March.
Maybe it'll still be #1 same time next year
Or maybe it will be Adele's 28, Jinxie.

oh lmao How Would You Feel (Paean). Of course it doing that messed up my preds Shame that more crap that is only there because of the names attached debuted at #2 this week, though. Also another to ARIA for messing up something which should be simple yet again!
Although it's only because of The Chainshitters, I'm still glad Coldplay
can get a strong #2 debut, their highest singles chart debut ever!
I've added this week's ARIA Top 100 Singles chart entries to my site.

Hear them all here - http://top100singles.blogspot.com/2016/12/every-aria-top-100-single-in-2017.html
Also I meant to mention that if anyone was trying to submit for the ACW yesterday, it's working now!
