You can play in an online-game exactly like they do on stock exchange. In the finance centers of New York, Zürich or Frankfurt they speculate with stocks, on australian-charts.com
it is adapted to focus on the buying and selling (virtual) of albums and singles.
Just like every game, there is a short, theoretical guide - tips, tricks or tactical hints are not revealed however. ;-)
Each of the songs currently placed in the charts have a value that is calculated as follows:
Singles
1st Place 50 Points
2nd Place 49 Points
...
50th Place 1 Point
Albums
1st Place 50 Points
2nd Place 49 Points
...
50th Place 1 Point
Additionally, 10 points will be added per week they appear in the charts. On top of that,
30 additional points for each Title will added from the start.
Example
An album that has been in the charts for 11 weeks and is in 15th place has a value of:
36 + 11*10 + 30 = 176 Points
Every member receives 1000 points in the beginning to use on buying singles and albums and then
sell again at a desired time. The appreciation/deprecation is proportionally calculated and your
points will rise or drop accordingly.
Trading can take place any time up to Friday at 8pm. Every Sunday the new charts
are released. Shortly thereafter your accounts will be recalculated and the ranking list updated,
thereafter, trading is opened again.
Singles and albums that drop out of charts are lost. You don't regain the points if they appear in the charts again.
Understood? Ok then, the best of luck, fun and success in the Stock Exchange game!
