good winner's single.

Altiyan Child's definitely deserved to win X Factor. Good song with good lyrics too.

Quite poor!

It's not an entirely terrible lyrical idea to base a song around. I too amuse myself by grasping the fact that the enormity of the world's population means that highly improbable interactions are quite likely happening in someone else's world which I'm unaffected by. So really this is disappointing because it doesn't try hard enough, yes there's probably somewhere in the world that someone is holding their first child, I would say that there would be hundreds and thousands of people doing that. It would be far more exciting if he said, 'somewhere in the world tonight, someone's being scolded for immediately sinking the black ball in a game of pool' or 'somewhere in the world tonight, someone's losing a crucial Pokemon battle because the harsh random number generating gods decided that they shall be stuck in paralysis for three turns in a row'. And quite frankly, that's a place I'd perhaps want to be taken to, not this boring place of inert harmony which is probably the only place anywhere that Altiyan's mediocre nothing ballad would be tolerated. It's not as if it doesn't have potential, but it just misses the point of why similar songs pull it off together, this is just 'chug chug chug chug', 'dun dun dun dun', music without flavour basically. 2.3

Bad flop. A snorefest of a ballad and an undeserving X Factor winner.

Like many other winner's singles in the past, this song is mostly boring. He has a nice voice, but thats about the only thing preventing it from getting 1 point.

Good winners single, but not great. Too soft for my liking, though it's better than it could have been, and better than I was expecting.

good song. sound a bit like Bon Jovi and U2 in a way, but came too old to soon

Highest Peak In My Personal Charts: #12 (1 week)

solid track

horrendous piece of junk. this dude pisses me off, all the stuff about being one with the earth and how he had to go sleep in a cave! publicity much!

but on it's own this song is still crap, a faux attempt at being a strong rock ballad

Peaked at #6 on my personal so far.

Came in at #189 on my TOP 200 OF 2010.

Came in at #36 on my TOP 200 OF 2011.

he's talented, but I think this song wasn't the best choice for a debut single. It hasn't got that rock sound that we heard all through X Factor from Altiyan.
*
Starts off promising but then turns into utter drivel as the song keeps going. Big disappointment, I don't see Altiyan getting any bigger in the years to come.
*****
Probably the best winner's song for an Australian reality show in a very long time. The fact that it could have been performed by anyone, shows that this works more than a memory of the show its artist will be connectedto for the rest of their life. Deserved to stay longer in the charts than it did.

Horrid!

Nice winning song from Altiyan, but he's surely only going to be a one-hit wonder unless he's got another CD coming out soon.

Ranked #58 on my end of year best songs of 2010

Where is he now?

It's okay but nothing special. Not surprised his career has been a huge flop.

Excellent track that has aged well for me but because of it's genre and the type of music that was popular at the time it was never really going to do well anyway. The last good winners single from any talent show IMO. A forgotten track released a few years too late in history.
