**** A decent song to help promote the coverage of an Olympics Games. Much better than the treacly sugary song that was the official Beijing song. Lyrically it is cliche but I think Amy helps make the lyrics not seem as cliched as they are. Her voice does occcassionally strain at the higher yelly points though. Shame SVENE didn't use the song more often when the games actualy started as it could have gone at last Top 20 with a little more of a concerted effort on SEVEN's part.
** This is the one Amy Pearson song I remember from the time. With how much I heard it then I'm kind of surprised it didn't chart higher. Can't say I'm won over by it though. The one thing that sticks out is her melisma which just doesn't have enough weight in it, but then more balance is lost in the chorus. Her singing feels very light against the elevated music and it just sounds off to me. 2.3 Last edited: 03/08/2016 20:23
****** It looks like I'm the only one on here but I absolutely adore this and always have. There's something really appealing about her voice for me, and the chorus is one of the best of 2008, especially the latter part. One of the best tracks of 2008 for sure.
