brilliant aussie rock album! all tracks are awesome

Indeed brilliant! Up there with the quality of their last album. The Saddest Thing I Know is very awesome, as are Plans, In The Veins of Death Valley, The Unspeakable Scene and If This Ship Sinks (I Give In). Also happens to be my 3,000th review! :D
******
Nice album.

This will have to be probably the best album I have ever reviewed. Every track is original, every track has their own sound, every track sounds amazing, every track is perfectly crafted, every track is awesome in their own way. This is one of the best rock albums I have ever heard. For some, rock sounds the same but here there is a whole variety of rock tracks ranging from soft rock, to hard rock anthems to rock ballads. I commend Birds of Tokyo for producing and creating such an amazing piece of music. Lots of effort has been put into this and this is very well done!

EDIT: Now that my obsession with Birds of Tokyo phase is very well done and over, I decided to give the album another listen so maybe my review will not be as biased as it was. The quality of the album has pretty much remained at its very high consistent level except I've now lost the love of a couple of tracks. Those particular tracks have been downgraded to a 5. I still believe they deserve such a rating due to its awesome musicalness however there are more and more songs that are losing its 6* ratings. Still a good album although I may not listen to it in full for a while.

Track listing: (numbers indicate rating out of 6, * indicate released singles)

01. Plans * (6)
02. Excellent Aussie rock album without a weak point and plenty of excellent tracks. Wild At Heart and Plans are my favourites but they're all quite good.

To be fair I was a bigger Karnivool fan and up until Plans got an official release I thought Birds Of Tokyo were just another Australian Triple J band.
This album is just pure rock brilliance but on the flip side is a bit of a commercial sell out to their more edgier work not that i'm complaining because all four singles released off the album are truly special in their own way.
The main highlight off this album is undoubtably the intense "Saddest Thing I Know" which is hands down the best track they've released thus far.
*****
A solid album with lots of cool backing music moments with Circles being my favourite from it followed by Plans and then If This Ship Sinks (I Give In). Other good tracks include, The Dark Side Of Love, In The Veins Of Death Valley, Murmurs, The Unspeakable Scene and Waiting For The Wolves. The absence of any 6 star tracks prevents me from pushing the score any higher but this was still a better then expected listen.
