edit: neue Calvin Harris single!! Last edited: 13/06/2013 14:30
****** I have loved this ever since first listening to the album in November 2012 and was hoping it would be the sixth single and was disappointed when Drinking From The Bottle was released as a single instead and then was dissapointed again when I Need Your Love was released as the seventh single. I'm so glad it was eventually released as a single but it's a pity it didn't live up to the success of its predecessors.
It's my second favourite on the album and my third favourite from Calvin. An absoloutely amazing dance track. Great vocals from Ayah and fantastic production by Calvin. For some reason it reminds me of Flashback, but that's probably due to Ayah's involvement in the song. It also reminds me of Seek Bromance. But that's a good thing as I like both of those songs. Just fantastic and also is very relaxing to listen to!
It's a real shame the music video is pretty stupid but thankfully it doesn't ruin the song for me. The video should've been something more like the videos for I Need Your Love or Feel So Close as something like that would suit the song more imo.
Peaked at #1 on my personal chart for 9 non consecutive weeks #1 on my 2013 EOY #9 on my BOAT 2013 edition Last edited: 27/03/2014 02:26
*** It's around four years since 'I'm Not Alone' graced the top 50 in Australia. At the time I was awestruck at the power and uniqueness of the trancey beat, and it made me wonder how the hell he isn't the biggest thing around yet. Eight top 50 entries from the same album later, I am officially over this same sound. I was over it a while ago actually. It's worlds apart from what he did all those years ago. While this isn't his worst effort, meh.
De singles van zijn album '18 Months' zijn Bounce, Feel So Close, Let's Go, We'll Be Coming Back, Sweet Nothing, Drinking From The Bottle, I Need Your Love en nu Thinking About You. Last edited: 11/08/2013 16:08
Last edited: 11/08/2013 22:40
**** Clearly I haven't listened to "Flashback" in a long, long time? Never at all would I have picked up on it. I must say that I'm quite astounded at how easily this cracked the top 10 in the UK, perhaps there are more than enough Calvin Harris fans (who aren't fan enough to buy the album, or are just excessive fans that go the extra mile :p) tired of people sticking as asterisk to his record breaking chart feat he's achieved over the last 2 years!
I did find this song hard to get behind initially because it's the single from the album that seems to project the least personality or intrigue. Even the title isn't very interesting! Lately I've been vibing on it more. Certainly listenable but production does just that little more to make it likeable. 3.8
Afgerond: 3 sterren!!! ☺
**** I'm positively surprised by this. The song would have been a much bigger hit had he released it earlier, but better late than never I guess. There are many similarities with Call My Name, but this one is much better.
****** I don't know why I originally gave this four stars, because it deserves much more than that. I loved this last year, the production is fresh and energetic, and Ayah's vocals work so perfectly with it. I hate that it's so overlooked in comparison to the other tracks even if I understand since there's been so many singles off the album. Nevertheless I'm happy it was released as a single and has achieved some success at least. Though "Bounce" will forever be the best from "18 Months" and Calvin has done better in his "Ready For The Weekend" days, this is amazing and would be among my favourites of his, probably my favourite from Ayah also. About on par with "Flashback". Last edited: 26/09/2014 08:23
***** Definitely one of the better singles especially due to the great production - it has a memorable ring to it and is much stronger than most of his 18 Months singles. Ayah Marar is fine. Last edited: 31/12/2014 03:17
