Great debut album, not a track on here i disliked, standout tracks for me are Old Flame, Call Me & Good Intent.

I'm not too sure how to go about reviewing this album. It's a strange and interesting mix of different styles and sounds, but for the most part it clicks for me. There's no denying Kimbra has a lovely voice, and some of the tracks on here are very cool, though not all are to my taste.

Quite a good album, although several of the songs sound experimental, and don't work imo. It's the type of stuff critics are bound to love but not me so much. In saying that though, there are several excellent tracks on this, and Kimbra has a unique way of attacking the vocals. Solid album with some real big songs on it :)

4.5 for now, pretty cool stuff and Kimbra can proudly hold the title of the 'only New Zealand artist worth caring about' while it lasts. Old Flame and Settle Down are pretty cool faveourites.

I quite like Kimbra and she's been delivering strong singles for a while but I'd always put off listening to her album. I finally amended that and I'm very impressed. She goes for a lot of retro soul styles, though not in the same way as say Amy Winehouse or Adele, and there's a lot of creativity in her work. The album is an eclectic and cool mix of plenty of different styles and I quite like a lot of it. 4.5

Although like the majority of people, I first heard of Kimbra through Somebody That I Used to Know and not triple j, she has become one of my favorite artists not due to Gotye (although Somebody that I Used To Know is exceptional), but through an awesome solo album.
Vows is a great album, my favourites are Two Way Street, Call Me, Good Intent and Settle Down.
