Schon wieder ein Album, welches von mir 6 Sterne bekommt.
Fast jeder Track (mit Ausnahme von Did It On'em) ist klasse,
die Produktion ist super, was will man mehr von einem Debüt-Album?

Highlights:

- Right Thru Me
- Fly (feat. Rihanna)
- Moment 4 Life (feat. Drake)

Sehr, sehr starkes Debutalbum der "First Lady of Young Money". Die Kollabos sind allesamt umwerfend, jeder Gaststar gibt sein bestes (gerade Eminem, Drake, Natasha Bedingfield & Rihanna stechen heraus), doch auch Nicki allein weiß mit der richtigen Mischung aus RnB, Rap & Pop zu überzeugen.

Gehört zu den klaren Albumhighlights 2010, und bekommt verdient 6 Sterne, mit der Hoffnung das in den nächsten Jahren ein 2. Album von ihr kommt.

erfüllt die hohen Erwartungen! Nicki ist echt eine Durchstarterin. Bin auf die Albumsales in den USA gespannt.

der hype um nicki war immens. und bleibt es auch. sehr solides album, mit ein paar wirklich starken tracks. jedoch alleine für die unterirdische "check it out"-nummer mit dem bep-willie runde ich knapp ab auf die 4.

Für mich eher nur durchschnittlich, ihre Raps finde ich immer recht gelungen, doch es gibt leider kein Lied auf dem Album mit einem wirklich starkem Refrain.

"Dear Old Nicki" und die Gastauftritte von Eminem, Kanye West und Drake sind für mich noch die Highlights.

Nicki Minaj's debut album "Pink Friday" is a work of pure brilliance. Nicki has just the right balance of crisp R&B/pop tunes with harsh rap tracks. While it is definitely more pop than expected, Nicki's talent is obvious in every track on the album. Additionally, the collaborations promote the talents of both artists on the tracks.

Highlights include Roman's Revenge (the phenomenal rap-off with Eminem), Fly (the inspiring soon-to-be hit with current It-girl Rihanna), Save Me, Right Thru Me and Your Love.

Lowlights are Check It Out, the abysmal will.i.am track that should never have been put on this album. Though Nicki is the by far the best thing about it.

Surprisingly good. Up until now I disliked Minaj for featuring on so many songs, but this album is actually a pretty good collection of both R&B songs and gangsta-leaning rap tracks. Some of my faves are Here I Am, Your Love and Moment 4 Life. I never thought this would be good, but now I really like it. Hope to see success from this!

Bin sehr überrascht, wie gut mir die CD gefällt! Mir ging Nicki Minaj eigentlich mit ihren ganzen Features ziemlich auf die Nerven, wollte dennoch wissen, was sie selbst auf die Beine stellen kann. Hightlights sind für mich Save Me, Roman's Revenge, Moment 4 Life

I think where Nicki Minaj shines is definitely front and centre. I too didn't like her too much when all she did was provide a rap verse on an average at best track.
She's come up with some great lyrics on many of the songs, let's see if she fades away after a short time in the spotlight, or can last the distance like Eminem has.
Her track with him, Roman's Revenge would have to be the highlight, along with Your Love and Fly.
Surprisingly great album, very solid.

great album! her rap is very good love her style and she raps better than many of her male counterparts. she even shines on the slower r&b numbers. the only downside (and what holds her off from getting a six) is the way she needs to constantly remind us that she is the greatest. i know this is a feature of the persona she is trying to create but i think we can do without the reminding. she's definitely the strongest female rapper out there at the moment, heck, i would probably go as far as saying she is the strongest female rapper of all time (sorry lil kim and foxy brown!)

highlights include your love, roman's revenge, fly and right thru me.

deluxe edition which included the massively awesome super bass bumps this up to a six. an album that's still great to listen to more than six months after it's release

I still can not believe this hasnt cracked the ARIA charts yet, it's an amazing album.

I watched a documentary on her last night, and the things she has been through, she has definetly come out the other side with this album.

She has this special sound that no one else has.

Highlights are: Right Thru Me, Romans Revenge, Did It On Em, Fly, Your Love, I'm The Best, Dear Old Nicki & Moment 4 Life but I love them all.
The lowlight is that Check It Out should not be on the album, she is in like a minute of the song, her part being the best, I like the song but it really shouldnt be on the album.

Overall great album and she will be around for a long time, after watching the documentary.

Klasse Album! Nicht umsonst irrsinnig erfolgreich in den USA.

Das Highlight für mich ist aber ein Bonussong: "Girls Fall Like Dominoes". AMAZING!

Ihr nächstes Album sollte aber etwas aggressiver werden. War überrascht, wie poppig das Werk tatsächlich wurde.

A terrible album, and yet, better than I was expecting it to be. There are several listenable songs, and even one good one. Dear Old Nicki is good. The major problem I have with her, aside from her annoying voice and vocal style, is that so many of her songs feature her ranting about how she's the best, when she has nothing to back it up with. Show, don't tell. Show, and you won't need to constantly tell!

And Roman's Revenge is one of the worst things I've ever listened to.

Hörenswerte Songs, hab gedacht ich kauf mir sicher wieder Müll, ist es aber nicht

Fly, The Last Chance, Right Thru Me, Dear Old Nicki, Moment 4 Life und natürlich der US Smasher Supper Bass sind die besten Songs. Alles andere 3-4

Zu Nicki Minaj muss ich glaube ich nicht viel mehr sagen. Die Bitch-Version von Lady GaGa hat einiges auf den Kasten und nach nur einem Jahr bereits um die 7.000.000 Millionen Platten in den USA verkauft (Singles und Alben...) - kein schlechtes Ergebnis!

Dass sie selbst auch manchmal singt statt rappt und das auch nicht gerade schlecht macht, beweisen gute Songs wie "Moment 4 Life" oder das geniale "Super Bass"...
Insgesamt kommt "Pink Friday" so daher, wie man es sich auch in etwa vorstellt, wenn man den einen oder anderen Song bereits kennt. Keine grosse Sachen und sicher auch kein bewegendes Werk für die Musikgeschichte, aber auch nicht umsonst so erfolgreich (zumindest in den USA...).

Übrigens: Die fünf Boni-Tracks der Deluxe-Edition sind - ausser das geniale "Super Bass" - für die Katz.... -.-

Highlights: "Fly" und "Super Bass"

Totally not what I was expecting from Nicki Minaj. Some songs are OK but some are quite painful to listen to, think I should have just stuck to the singles, which are the stand-out's no surprise (Super Bass, Fly). 2.88

Actually a decent album. A nice listen despite some flaws. A good debut LP from Nicki and her career looked quite promising until she released Pink Friday - Roman's Revenge and went a gigantic leap backwards. Would like to see something like this released in future.
