Yes. Seeing this collaboration a while ago finally convinced me to listen to SAFIA's own music (when I really should have ages ago). Having now enjoyed a lot of their music, as well as "High," I had strong expectations for this and I'm so pleased this even exceeded them. "High" took a while to grow on me but this was instant.

EDIT: Soooooo good.

Another awesome track from Peking Duk! And great to see SAFIA featured too!
*****
This is a lot better than "High"!

This isn't really my type of stuff, I get nothing from this.
****
It sounds pretty much like High all over again but with vocals that appeal slightly more to me and lyrics that are probably more meaningless.

Another winner! It's great to see Australian electronica of genuine substance actually make the charts. The beat drop is very gratifying.

My liking of it is about the same as "High" was.

EDIT: This was definitely a grower! It helps that this SAFIA fella sounds like John Newman.

3* -> 4*.

When will the Flumesque horror end?

I wasn't particularly sure why but this was extremely instant for me, like "High", and considering that none of SAFIA's own were instant for me, I'm guessing I have an obsession with ducks/weirdly spelled animal artist names? :P However, this was the victim of being the song that was stuck in my head in quite an unfortunate time. Luckily though, the notable other song that this had seemed to happen to also, "Into The Blue" is worlds less complicated and memorable that this actually seemed to stand out for me and I do enjoy listening to it nowadays. It just doesn't click anymore really. However, I think SAFIA's quirky vocal gives this a lesser of a radio-friendly sound than maybe even the holy "High", though the drop leaves me a little empty, especially in comparison to that. I'm just happy it still hasn't outpeaked "High" (in saying that I need something new to hatre since I can't say "Uptown Funk" isn't getting worse for me, so if this does end up getting any higher than #5, you know what you're getting :P) but good that they've seemed to get a pretty big hit out of it.

I'm quite liking this track. It has enough interesting arrangements to boost the score, but something else lacking (in the tempo or something) caps that enjoyment. 4.5*

This just doesn't catch me as much as their previous single. Quite forgettable.

It's hard to say they don't know what they're doing. Suffice to say, we've got a monster banger here. Personally I most love the way the beat is introduced, with it sounding like orchestrated violins. Definitely gives it another layer of sound to work with. Also like, f yeah SAFIA and what have you. 4.4

I actually kind of agree with the first part of bluezombie's review. I don't necessarily mean this in a negative way though. It sure feels like they're tapping into the formula of "High", and why wouldn't they after they created such a massive track! The structure of the song is pretty similar, with its verse -> chorus -> drop with vocals over the top -> verse with similar lyrics to first one -> pre-chorus -> chorus -> more powerful drop with vocals over the top -> ending . Some minor differences obviously which helps keeps things fresh. While it could do with some more substance I'd say it's pretty effective. The drop is especially great though not quite as good as "High"'s and I also really like the intro.

I'm a little over it now but I still think it's great and I'm happy it gave them another hit though it does annoy me a bit how close this got to doing better than "High". Definitely excited for Peking Duk's next release.
