Da bin ich ganz bei Galaxy!

Etwas vom besten was Taylor in letzter Zeit gemacht hat!
Toll! 6*

I really don't understand why songs like "Do What U Want", "Solo Dancing" etc aren't massive hits. Even as someone who can somehow be resistant, when it comes to songs like that, it just always does it for me. Maybe that means that it's easy? Perhaps but there's definitely plenty of fine tuning in place. The way the beat drops to the background before the chorus and then comes back hard, that's a win for all involved. Taylor fits it well too, with her syllables resting on these peaks to make something that's hard to forget.

A stunner. The best song on '1989' and that's no easy feat.
***
Another decent track from Swift in 2014.

You know what. This is a really nice refreshing effort. One that has grown on me and is probably my third favourite single from this album. Good stuff

This is just sublime. Instantly hooks you in from the first riff and from there it only gets better. Hoping this gets a single release for sure.
****
Another stellar effort from Taylor! Don't get me wrong though, ever since hearing Louisa Wendorff's cover I really think this song is much more suited to an acoustic/country ballad accompaniment à la Lady Antebellum or The Civil Wars. Her cover allowed me to really appreciate how wonderfully the vocal melody gels with the harmonic progression of the song without the funky electronics of the original. I also don't want to be misunderstood here, I also think the production is excellent and quite smooth. It's just that I much prefer Louisa's cover right now.

Another solid track from '1989'.
****
Quite enjoyable.

Best track of 1989, super great.
****
The 'Do What U Want' comparison is apt, but it's not quite as good. Decent effort. 3.5

Pretty good, prefer this to Blank Space.

Taylor Swift delivers another solid track and it's not bad. Her vocals are enjoyable and the instrumental beat fits the tone well.

However, I am also pissed off at this song for how hard it is to listen to it without buying it on iTunes/Google Play (can't even find it on Spotify/Rdio obviously but it's not even on YouTube).
**
If Swift was trying to create the most boring and bland song possible, then she has done a pretty decent job here.

I love the 80's vibe to it + the video is gorgeous. This is her best release this era. Thumbs up!
******
Love it
*****
The best of what I've heard from '1989'. The song has become very familiar which could be a curse, but in this case that's fine. The big plus is there's nothing annoying here at all, just an enjoyable breezy listen. 4.5*

EDIT: Upgrade. 4.7*

Awesome track, her best from 1989.
****
Good song from her and agree it's an easy listen which helps. UK#21 and Ireland#38.

I remember back in 2009 when Taylor swift was getting huge in AUS, I absolutely hated her music, love story, you belong with me, fifteen etc. Ughh.

I still hate those songs, but far, this song is probably on my list of best songs of all time. I love this song. Great lyrics, great video, great tune, great everything. Too bad I can't get it on spotify tho. -.-

Thus far, this album is extremely impressive.

I didn't pay much attention to this when I first heard it, mainly because of it not being on Spotify or having a good quality version on YouTube meant that it wasn't worth the effort to listen to it. When it became a single I naturally became more interested and I ended up being very impressed with it. While "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space" try hard to convey some sort of message, this goes for a different path and is just a fun song with nice lyrics that aren't deep. But who cares when it's this good? I personally think it's nice to have a song from her that isn't trying to be anything more than it is, just a fun and enjoyable pop song. The "Do What U Want" style beat with a bit more funk to it is initially what drew me in and remains the best thing about the song. Taylor sounds beautiful here though and I think the beat really suits her voice and she doesn't sound awkward like she does on "Shake It Off". Has the benefit of being really catchy and a perfect summer song too. Easily the best song she's released so it's sad that it has underperformed compared to "Shake It Off", "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood".
