Pretty crap.

I haven't listened to this version but I do know the originals and would rate them highly. Anyone who is trashing this song clearly knows nothing about Australian history or the monumental fight of Vincent Lingiari to achieve equal employment rights for Indigenous Australians and the right for Aboriginal Australians to own/use their traditional country.

It took a decade for this song to chart and its rise to popularity has coincided with the development of general awareness surrounding Indigenous issues in Australia. Go do some reading.

Those of us who know these things are moved to tears by the song and consider it an anthem of our times.

The idea and gesture is nice. The song style itself unfortunately is sub-par.

Crap but at least not TRASH!

Oh so that "from little things big things grow" song I heard on ads so many times was an at the time recent song (that happens to be a cover of an older song). But then it turns out it's not the same version that was in those ads! Never heard this particular version before so it's not familiar to me at all. I like it though, I think the context behind the lyrics in the song is important which is what helps me like it. It's a bit clumsily put together with the different vocalists as these kind of mass collaborations can tend to be, but it's generally a nice listen and I like the inclusion of speeches from both Kevin Rudd and Paul Keating. Good to see it chart so high.
