Standing in the hall of fame again.
*****
The Script mochte ich schon immer total gerne!

Wer mag schon nicht "The Man Who Can’t Be Moved", "Breakeven" oder gar "For the First Time"?!

5*+

It's very Hall Of Fame failed inspiration but with no William, this is instantly less disappointing than that.

Standing in the hall of fame again. [2] . Yawn, heard it all before!

Quite good, but not up there with their best.

3.5*.

Love it, these guys are so consistent!

A band that a few years ago I was starting to enjoy somewhat, their recent efforts just offer nothing. The predictability of it just makes it so monotonous, and the fact that they need the 'everyday, every hour...' backing line repeated copiously proves that the chorus lacked melody on its own. 2.5

*inserts obvious reference to "Hall of Fame" as to point out their uncanny resemblances*

It's okay, but a little lacking and unspectacular. I probably prefer "Hall of Fame" and most of their earlier stuff is much better. Oh and that "rapping" or whatever it is in the chorus saying "turn the pain into power" is really weird and only adds to the "Hall of Fame" reminiscence. Choose a different formula next time please :P

Edit: I still don't like the verses, or the overused concept, or the "turn the pain into power" thing, but the chorus has somewhat grown on me lately. The harmonies in the chorus are quite nice and at least make the song a better listen.

It very much does sound like Hall of Fame but I like this one more. One of those tracks that will play on radio throughout the year and people hum along to without really caring for it in any big way.

If women twerking is a diabolical appropriation of black culture, then the same should be said for surrounding yourself with a bunch of African crowds dancing to your song in attempt to show off your cross-culture musical influences apparent in the drum beat which actually doesn't sound the tiniest bit African.

Music strictly for people whose only rap albums are Eminem's Recovery and Macklemore's The Heist, consider Queen, The Beatles and Foo Fighters to be their favourite bands, are amazed by Ed Sheeran's talent, hate Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake for no reason, consider Muse to be the most experimental artist they've listened to. genuinely, unironically consider Imagine Dragons indie, claim Anaconda is the worst song ever, still make Justin Bieber jokes, and probably don't get the joke "I don't hate boat people, some of my best friends have yachts".

Brilliant track.
I remember the similarities to 'Hall Of Fame' in my first few listens, but this is way better now. The well documented comparisons to Coldplay in the first two verses are much more noticeable. Nice piano arrangements. But it is the chorus that gives this some extra weight.
*****
Motivational and reminds me of those Superhero movies obviously.

Great message, catchy and powerful.
