i dont think YahH!! bu soulja boy will do well in charts. the whole song is just meanlingless screaming. it flopped in U.S. hop it dosent pollute our charts later on.

any physical release date for
avril lavigne - the best damn thing
jordin sparks - no air
clubland 12
will kelis i dont think so be released physically? it's an old album track though
Hey, does anyone know why Madonna & Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes video clip has completly been removed off iTunes? it was #1 and now you can't dowload it at all?
I can't wait until Dukes of Windsor ' It's a war' comes out as a physical single becuase I reckon it might make the Top 10 or even N0.1 because it is such a great song. Same with Kisschasy 'Strings and drums' if that came out as a physical CD single it should defiently be N0.1 on the ARIA singles chart.
Martin, i don't know what deluded world you live in but both those songs have no hope of making itto #1 on the Aria Singles Chart.
If you want to go out and purchase 15.000 copies to get it there then feel free.
I sense a bit of tension or competativeness between you's 2
I found out that Dukes of Windsor 'it's a war' will be coming out as a physical release so it might make it close to N0.1 or it could knock off Madonna's latest single off the N0.1 spot.
We are know its somewhat unrealistic of what martin said b4
but nate i think ur a bit too harsh on ur eye rolling...
btw anyone know answer to my question?
any release dates for:
avril lavigne - the best damn thing
jordin sparks - no air
clubland 12
congrats on brain debut @ 5 =]
Any physical release dates for these singles:

Nelly - Party People
Maroon 5 - Goodnight, Goodnight
Colin & Edward. No physical release dates as yet, but I do update this listing weekly, so as soon as I know, I'll put it in this post.

Regards, Bulion.
to answer my own question XD
jordin spraks- no air cd maxi release on Sat 17 May 2008
so pumped =]

I have been waiting for this CD which was meant to be released in April but was changed to early May and now they've changed it again to late May

Atleast the tracklisting is FINALLY here, but I am certain some of these songs were not #1s or on any former So Freshes. Also surprised with some of the choices of songs by some artists as bigger songs were #1.

Track Listing: Disk 1
1. Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend
2. Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For?
3. Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal
4. Akon - Lonely
5. Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry
6. Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body
7. Pink - Most Girls
8. Chris Brown - Run It!
9. Britney Spears - Toxic
10. The Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha
11. Usher - Burn
12. Christina Aguilera - Beautiful
13. Tv Rock - Flaunt It
14. Nsync - Bye Bye Bye
15. Backstreet Boys - Incomplete
16. Black Eyed Peas - Shut Up (Album Version)
17. Mya - Case Of The Ex
18. Outkast – Roses
19. 2 Pac – Ghetto Gospel
Disk 2
1. Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag
2. Anastacia - Left Outside Alone
3. Hinder - Lips Of An Angel
4. Lifehouse - Hanging By A Moment
5. Lighthouse Family - High
6. Guy Sebastian - Angels Brought Me Here
7. Delta Goodrem/ Brian Mcfadden - Almost Here
8. Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles
9. Nelly Featuring Kelly Rowland - Dilemma
10. Nitty - Nasty Girl
11. T.A.T.U - All The Things She Said
12. Will Smith - Switch
13. Shannon Noll - Learn To Fly
14. Paulini - Angel Eyes
15. Sandi Thom - I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker
16. Anthony Callea - Rain
17. Aqua - Doctor Jones
18. 50 Cent - In Da Club
19. Afroman - Because I Got High

I am sure Usher and Outkast songs didn't go to #1 but both these acts have had #1 hits.

Also surprised Rihanna or Leona didn't score a spot on this compilation.

N'Sync, Lighthouse Family and Aqua's song were not even around when So Fresh started, they were hits from the 100% Hits/Hit Machine days.

Shannon Noll's song should be "What About Me" and Anthony Callea's should be "The Prayer."

And it's FINALLY good to see Vanessa Carlton, Gwen Stefani and Nelly/Kelly Rowland's songs get on a So Fresh CD. Don't know why they were left off as all these artists are from labels that So Fresh cover and all the follow up or previous released singles by these artists have always been included on the So Fresh editions.

I don't know who does the tracklistings for this CD but they clearly don't follow the charts properly.

The latest edition (Autumn 2008) has even put Chris Brown's "With You" on it and although I like the fact it's putting newer hits on there, his song "Kiss Kiss" was a recent top 10 hit and has been left out.

I know I am a bit obsessed with compilations but does anyone else have any thoughts?
Being somewhat involved in the compilation business, I can shed some light on things for you...

Firstly, it's up to the artists and/or their management (in most cases) to send approval for the use of their repertoire on these albums. In the case of Anthony Callea and Shannon Noll, it's entirely possible that they refused use of their respective massive hits (as they have both been heavily featured on compilations already) but agreed to allow another song to be included.

Vanessa Carlton, Gwen Stefani and Nelly & Kelly were probably all denied by the artist at the time. Simple as that. Gwen Stefani in particular is very difficult to get approval for and when she does it's normally under some condition that she's track #1 on the album or close to the front.

It's not that the people who put these CD's together don't follow the charts properly - believe me, they do! - it's more that it's not entirely up to them. It's a bit naive to think that the performers wouldn't have a say in the use of their repertoire (though there are many cases where they contractually have no say at all).

In the case of Chris Brown, I would think that the "side-artist" (i.e. T-Pain) has prevented "Kiss Kiss" from being used on compilations. This often happens. Normally if any "featured" artist is signed to a different company than the main performer, there's no chance it will ever be cleared for compilation usage.
The only non-No.1's on that compilation is "Roses" by Outkast. They've only had "Hey Ya" go to the top, whereas "Roses" peaked at No.2. Plus Usher's "Burn" was also a No.2 hit, he hit the top with "Yeah".
Is Kanye West's new single

"Flashing Lights"

going to be released as a physical single?
The month of May is going to provide yet another shake up in the ARIA top 50 countdown.
iTunes is ultimatley chaning the face of music as once you hear a song you can jump straight online and download the desired track.
So You Think Can Dance Final & Channel 9's 20 To 1 Have provided older songs an outlet to chart again.

Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting - #97.
Celine Dion - A New Day Has Come - #89.
John Farnham - You're The Voice - #85.
Men At Work - Down Under - #83.
Redgum - I Was Only 19 - #79.
Timbaland & Keri Hilson - The Way I Are - #76.
Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl - #70.
Gary Jules & Michael Andrews - Mad World - #62.
Robbie Williams - Angels - #53.
Don McLeean - American Pie - #52.
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars - #50.

Also the mix of touring and promotion from both tv, concerts and any publicity in general has seen the countdown do the switcheroo...

Estelle & Kanye West - American Boy #7 - Will make top 5 in Australia when they allow it to chart.
Leona Lewis - Better In Time/Bleeding Love #11/#13/#48 - Amazing performance on SYTYCD Will propel Bledding Love back up te chart with Better In Time close behind.
Vanessa Amorosi - Perfect #15 - Is holding firm in digital sales will be helped by a physical release.
Usher & Young Jeezy - Love In This Club #16 - Will continue to climb the chart should crack the top 30 this week.
Sara Bareilles - Love Song #23 - Should jump at least 10 places in this weeks top 50.
Simple Plan - Your Love Is A Lie #26 - Will rise considerably in it's 2nd week of release [Anyone notice how the chorus sounds like Michelle Branch - Are You Happy Now?]
The Presets - This Boy's In Love #34 - Re-Entry to top 50.
Wyclef Jean - Sweetest Girl #35 - Should see Wyclef return since 2006.
Utah Saints - Something Good '08 #39/#74- Dance is missing from the countdown i present this to be catapulted to stardom yet again. [radio needs to play]!

Also watch for
Jordin Spark & Chris Brown - No Air.
Lil' Mama - Shawty Get Loose.
Nelly & Fergie - Party People.
Can anyone supply a Triple J Hottest 100 chart for 2008?
This is the ARIA CHARTS! not the triple j hot 100! go to their site or research it on the net. plus it's not even to do with the topic you posted it in...
This is not the ARIA charts it is australian charts forum
I heard the F##k wit Cory Worthington is releasing a single?
Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

Can you believe this knob get's all this attention for being a pathetic freakin loser?

I'd love to see someone punch the f##k out of him.

Can't believe they're gonna put the dickhead on Big Brother, hopefully the housemates tell him what a dickhead he really is.

If there is truth to his single then we might just have an annoying top hit, so say your prayers people.
Well if his partying career is anything to go by, then the single will probably be a big disappointment that needs police help to disburse/distribute. If people don't pay any attention to the idiot (and especially NOT buy his single {if he has one}) then he'll go away.
You have some anger management problems Jason... But I do agree with you
I hardly call it anger management issues, I'm stating an opinion in saying the guys a dickhead.

I'm a high school teacher and I honestly don't think this bloke is a suitable role model for youths but they keep going on about him and paying him ridiculous amounts of money to be an obnoxious moron.

Although I think he needs a good punch in the face I didn't say I was going to do it.
I think by my remarks you can see the sarcastis signs involved Jason. For a high school teacher you seem to rant like a pubesent teenager which is cool. I thoroughly enjoy those rants!
Teachers are normal people mate.

This teacher just has a big interest in music and can be quite opinionated when it comes to things that annoy him. =0)

Case in point Cory Worthington or stupid bands like Frente!!
Anyway, back on topic.. I don't see any of this weeks debuts doing big things.

I am curious to see where "Shawty Get Loose" by Lil' Mama feat Chris Brown & T-Pain will chart/debut.

I am also actually hoping for Madonna/Justin's song to be short lived at #1, that song is starting to annoy me.
Nelly & Fergie single finally got a release date of the end of May. Other new stuff for the end of the month is now in the New Release schedule.
Jason don't be so rude, Corey is just a little boy!

Does anyone know the official release date for
So Fresh #1's, and
if there will be a So Fresh #1's Dvd, to accompany it.

Does anyone know a release date
for Kelly Rowland's re-release of her album Miss Kelly??

I heard there was going to be a deluxe edition or something,
which has her upcoming single "Daylight" on it".
Hi, Chartboi, do you have Kent Music Report Album database with chart run or weekly chart?
Kelly's re-release is this week, it even states it in the release schedule this week.

So Fresh #1's is due May 19th.

does anyone know the physical release date
for Rihanna's new single - "Take a Bow", it's not featured on the original "Good girl gone bad" album.

I heard that she will be re-releasing her album with bonus dvd
and it will feature that song "Take a Bow" plus the
duet with Maroon 5 titled "If i never see your face again".

and a digital or physical release date on the Maroon 5 single please?
Does anyone know how many albums madonna sold to top the chart? 10 years ago 40,000 sales weeks were common. I hear that you only need 5,000 to top the chart now! Shows the death of albums is nigh...
Madonna - Hard Candy sold 14.585 Copies to debut at #1.

Andre Rieu & Mirusia - Waltzing Matilda sold 10.436 Copies to debut at #2.

Damien Leith Catch The Wind: Songs Of A Generaton sold 9688 Copies to debut at #3.

Kasey Chambers & Shane - Rattlin' Bones sold 6020 Copies to fall from #1 - #4.

Carl Riseley - The Rise Sold 5495 Copies to debut at #5.

Where's the chartifacts for last week Monday 28th April 2008?
I missed out on last weeks ARIA chartifacts for Monday 28th April 2008 because they weren't updated now they are showing 5th May 2008 chartifacts do you know the chartifacts for 28th April 2008 (last weeks chartifacts) ?
New Releases updated with new tracks confirmed for physical release by Presets, Rihanna and The Last Goodnight.
ARIA Report Chartifacts for...

Week Commencing ~ 28th April 2008 ~ Issue #948
SINGLES. The Material Girl has done it, 4 Minutes slides into No.1 this week giving
Madonna her tenth No.1 single in Australia! This in turn leaves Flo Rida sitting at No.3
with Low. Jumping back up into the Top 10 this week is Faker’s This Heart Attack at
No.10. Further along the chart we have two re-entries, Ayo Technology gives 50 Cent
another glimpse at the Top 100 sitting at No.94 and Rihanna’s Shut Up And Drive
steers its way back in at No.97. Lastly there are landmarks close for Sneaky Sound
Sytem’s UFO and Linkin Park’s What I’ve Done – hitting 51 weeks and 50 weeks
respectively. Will they hit their target in the next couple of weeks? Stay tuned…
VERSION) – The Getup Mob. 13th February 2008 marked a milestone in Australian
history. An apology to the Stolen Generations was given by Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd
and to highlight this historic moment The Getup Mob have released a tribute single. The
Getup Mob consists of Kev Carmody, Paul Kelly, Urthboy, Missy Higgins, Mia
Dyson, Radical Son, Jane Tyrrell, Dan Sultan, Joel Wenitong and Ozi Batla. They
have come together to sing a rendition of Paul Kelly’s and Kev Carmody’s written track
of the same title.
No.30 WHAT YOU’RE ON – Rogue Traders. One of the biggest dance acts to
come out of Australia, Rogue Traders release their third single to be lifted from the
album Better In The Dark (No.4 Oct. ’07). What You’re On follows Don’t You Wanna
Feel (No.10 Oct. ’07) and I Never Liked You (No.9 Jan. ’08). The new single also marks
the bands tenth ARIA Top 100 single! Rogue Traders are set to embark on a national
tour starting this week. So for all the fans out there make sure you don’t miss out as this
will be the last tour for a couple of years as singer, Natalie Basingthwaighte
concentrates on a solo career.
No.37 SOMETHING GOOD ’08 – Utah Saints. Hailing from England, Jez Willis
and Tim Garbutt are Utah Saints. Taking their name from the Mormon religion, Utah
Saints use samples heavily in their music and with the re-release of Something Good
’08 which features mixes from Ian Carey and Australia’s own Van She, shows a perfect
example of this. Something Good, which was originally a No.10 hit back in 1992,
samples Kate Bush’s Cloudbusting. The single has also shattered dance floors all over
our nation, recently peaking at No.3 on the ARIA Club Chart. Utah Saints are set to tour
Australia in June.
No.43 YOU’RE LOVE IS A LIE – Simple Plan. French-Canadian pop-punk band
Simple Plan hit us with yet another Top 50 Chart buster! You’re Love Is A Lie can be
found on the band’s current self titled album, which also features When I’m Gone (No.14
Feb. ’08). Previous hits from the group include Perfect (No.6 July ’04), Addicted (No.10
Sep. ’04) and Untitled (How Can This Happen To Me) (No.9 July ’05). Not just content
with being a band, Simple Plan set up the Simple Plan Foundation to help raise money
for teens that are in need of care from all types of social issues.
No.75 SCHNUGGLE SONG – Schnuffel Bunny. With the digital world of
gadgets and gizmos on the rise, so is the digital superstar. Leading the way was the
Crazy Frog with the release of Axle F, which made it all the way to No.1 in July 2005.
Then there was the Gummi Bear and more recently Psycho Teddy. They are a force to
be reckoned with and a phenomenon that the public just can’t get enough of!
No.99 STILL WILL – 50 Cent. Recently in Australia for the MTV Awards and
some concerts, Curtis James Jackson III aka 50 Cent is known for his thug life past, but
loved for his tight rhymes and laid back rap style. The new Still Will is credited as I’ll
Still Kill on 50 Cent’s album Curtis (No.1 Sep. ’07) but is released as Still Will to reduce
profanity in the media. Akon is featured on the track. Previous singles to chart well from
50 Cent include Candy Shop (No.3 Apr. ’05), 21 Questions (No.4 July ’03) and his
biggest single to date – In Da Club (No.1 Apr. ’03).
How many weeks or days has Madonna spent at No.1 the
Itunes top 120 chart??

it seems as if she has been
at No.1 for at least 6 or more weeks now in a row...,

she seems unstoppable.

Which is just amazing!!

So has anyone been counting???
It's her fifth week at the top of the digital track chart and she's been #1 on the itunes chart for 6 weeks. However, the gap between her and Gabriella Cilmi is decreasing and I won't be surprised if Sweet About Me takes the top spot in the next few days.
With the fact that Gabriella's album is out now, and if complete albums are downloaded, but more of the single get downloaded, then they count towards "Sweet About Me", which could see a rise next week. But also Estelle's single is out in stores this week too, so that could jump to No.1 next week?
Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown - No Air is schedualed for physical release next week.

Others Include...
Sara Bareilles - Love Song.
Estelle & Kanye West - American Boy.
Michael Paynter - Closer.
McClymonts - Finally Over Blue.
Shaneal - Fancy Cars & Superstars.
Preytells - Shout/I'm So Sorry.

Source: sanity.com.au - Singles - Coming Soon.

Also --> Corey Worthington - Fight For Your Right (To Party) has been added to the iTunes catalogue.
Psycho Teddy & Yahhh! are top notch compared to this atrocious song. [NO JOKE!]
Let's hope his stint on Big Brother doesn't see the song enter the top 100 at all.
bulion, the track must be downloaded on its own to count as a digital sale towards the chart. any album "bundle" purchases are not eligible.

Which is the new single from Coldplay, is it
"Viva La Vida" or "Violet Hill",

because both tracks are on airplay.
Hi bulion, i know this is not the top of the thread, but i was doin a google search for the australian chart book to see whether there was an album book published and came across a page with books written by yours truly, are these for sale still and have they got album info. Also have you compiled a national book?

Voilet Hill is the first official single from the much anticipated album Viva La Vida.
Whereas the actual track Viva la Vida has been released as a snippet to the album to give fans and the general public a view of what to expect from the new album.
Rob; The five chart books that I've written are all singles chart books, each based on five different cities/states around Australia. The only Australian Chart Book info would be David Kent's "Australian Chart Book 1970-1992". Even though his other two also have album info (40-69 & 93-2005), the 70 to 92 book has the only pre-ARIA info. (which is where I get all the stuff for people's requests).
www.austchartbooks.com.au is where you can see and buy his books.

Regards, Bulion.
Bulion you chartifacts have a small error. 4 Minutes is Madonna's 11th number one, not her 10th.

I assume the 11 is counting her guest appearance on Britney Spears' "Me Against The Music" and the 10 is just counting the tracks where she is the main performer.
i know i have asked this before, but bulion gave me a website, Pandora which gave you the aria weekly top 100 sigles. not top 50 but top 100 singles. but now for about a month they havent updated their site and its getting a bit dodgy. do you guys know where i can find the aria top 100 weekly singles? please respond ASAP.
The Pandora files are normally archived once a month. Patience my pet.

Pandora Archive is updated on the 21st of each month or after 12pm on the 22nd.
How on earth did Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars Go platinum it didn't make the top 50 and it wasn't a single. Same with Sean Kingston "Me Love' only made it to N0.11 and it went Platinum.

But 'into the night' only went Gold and spent a long time in the Top 50.

Sneaky Sound System ' UFO' deserves to go Platinum it hasn't even gone gold yet also Rock this Party should go Platinum because it peaked at #6.

Put your hands up for detroit should go gold because it peaked at #8 and spent longer in the top 50 than 'Me love'

can someone plz delete this post [mine] and move it's 5! post to accreditations...

Here is the lyrics to next weeks N0.1 song:

Psyco teddy,
Uncle teddy your so bouncy,
lovely lady cutie
wont you cuddle me cuddle me cuddle me cuddle me
Uncle teddy your so bouncy,
lovely lady cutie

just squeeze me
do you really really really really want to

do you really really really really want to

do you really really really really want to

im a psycho psycho teddy

psyco teddy rocks it will be number one
Physco Teddy drops out of the top 10. So much for it being a #1 hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO @ Corey Worthington releasing a single. Someone asked a few weeks back and I didn't believe it would happen but it looks like it will.

Also the funniest thing I heard today was that NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK (remember these guys) are releasing a new 'come back' single and apparently is in the top 10 on the American I-Tunes chart. Any idea of an Aussie release on this?
Oh my god!!!!!!! NKOTB are back!!!!

Shame on people who draging this rubbish through the mud!

Pity Psycho Teddy dropped RIGHT out of the Top 50! Karma
yes NKOTB are back and here is the single on Youtube with the single cover. Some have aged quite a bit.

any word of release date on the soon to be no.1
If i never see your face again
by maroon 5 n rihanna
I was wrong about Psycho teddy being No.1 because Gabreila Cilmi is N0.1. But I won't be wrong about next weeks N0.1. Here's the lyrics to next week's N0.1:

Little men
Beasts of war
Rule the streets
Fight the law

Little men
Started war
March with us
Hear us roar

All for none
And none for all
We fight for love
And never fall

It's a war

Are you men
Of the storm
On the streets
We are born

Little men
This is war
Join with us
Hear the roar
You really do need a life No.1 Song Predictor!!! A life that doesn't involved polluting these threads with your rubbish!
This song isn't rubbish it is next weeks N0.1 song which is Dukes of Windsor 'it's a war'
Yes, for sure, a song that isn't even on the itunes Top 100 will be #1. *sighs*

Oh and you remember that last week, Psycho Teddy was supposed to top the chart as well
Who cares about itunes as long as the physical CD single is bought.
In most cases, 66% of a songs sales come from digital downloads now, not physical singles.
Where is Sparkadia's latest single on the chart?
Nothing on Sparkadia's "Too Much to Do" as yet. But it's only been out since May 10th, so it might be a grower. Is it being played anywhere? Is it being shown on anything. Tell us a bit out them.
After nearly 7 weeks on the Itunes Top 120 chart
Madonna's "4 Minutes", has been dethroned
by Estelle and Kanye West - American Boy

My predictions for future ITunes No.1's
Leona Lewis
Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown

also Maroon 5's new single - does anyone know a physical release date for that single???
and a date for Rihanna's (cd/dvd) album???
I thought Sparkadia's song "Too much to do" would make the top 100 because it is played so much on Rage.
Coldplay's new album should be released soon?,
does anyone know a release date???
Chart_geek; Check out the June 2008 New Release schedule for the new Coldplay album...
