Pink's "So What" is No.1 for a fourth week, and with her in the country next week for the ARIA Awards, it could stay there for another week or two. She has now had a single week No.1, "Most Girls", two weeker with "Get the Party Started", and three-week-stay with "Lady Marmalade", so now she completes her 1-2-3-4 No.1 singles by staying atop for that fourth week. She also created chart history in the UK this week by gaining the biggest jump to No.1, leaping up from No.38 to the top, stepping over new singles from Oasis and the comeback track for BoyZone, onya luv.
By "So What" staying at the top, it now accumulates 33 weeks at the top of the Australian charts for female performers this year, equaling the record set in 1973 by female-led acts. If Pink stays at the top for another week (or any other females this year), 2008 will become the year of "Most Weeks at No.1 by Female Acts".

The No.1 download song for a third week is Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours", which climbs to a new peak of No.3 this week, and also moving up one place to a new peak of No.4 is Kings of Leon's "Sex on Fire". The other new highest placing in the Top 10 this week is MGMT's "Electric Feel" which climbs up to spots to No.7. Nothing new enters the Top 10 this week, with Jessica Mauboy climbing to No.11 (from last weeks No.13 debut), and should enter the Top 10 next week as the CD Single is out this coming week.

"Dance Wiv' Me" by Dizzee Rascal is the biggest climbing single, up 7 places to No.13 this week, while three other tracks all climb up six places. "Whatever You Like" by T.I. is up to No.19, "Walking on a Dream" by Empire of the Sun is up to No.28, and the third is the Jonas Brothers' "Burnin' Up", now up to No.32.

"Womanizer" by Britney Spears was available to download from Tuesday the 7th, and after five days of downloads, it has amassed enough to debut at No.16 this week. The CD Single for it is released November 1st, but before then it will probably climb into the Top 10. It becomes her 21st Top 50 single, and is the first track from her end-of-November released album "Circus".

Kate Miller-Heidke hit No.43 in the first week of July 2007 with her debut single "Words". Now she is back with the first track from next week's released "Curiouser", it's called "Can't Shake it", and debuts at No.38. Other than being a great (and slightly rude) single, it has been picked as one of the new NOVA TV Commercial songs.

MGMT's first single "Time to Prepare" made the Top 60 in June, and are currently up to a new peak of No.7 with "Electric Feel", and now debuting at No.40 is the third single from this week's No.9 album "Oracular Spectacular", entitled "Kids", which debuts on downloads alone.

The second single from "Doll Domination" by The Pussycat Dolls debuts on downloads alone at No.45 this week, entitled "I Hate This Part", it has a physical release of early November, and is the follow-up to the former No.2 single "When I Grow Up".

Snow Patrol have had No.1's in Australia before, on the album charts and the download-only chart (before amalgamation), but only had one Top 50 single, that being "Signal Fire", which hit No.22 in May 2007. They now have their second Top 50 single, as "Take Back the City" debuts at No.48, the first single off their forthcoming "A Hundred Million Suns" which is out at the end of October.

The third single by Leona Lewis debuts at No.50 on downloads, entitled "Forgive Me" it helps bring her "Spirit" album back up the charts to No.40 this week.

Kings of Leon's "Only By the Night" becomes only the fifth (out of 21) No.1 albums this year to spend more than two weeks at the top, logging their third week this past week. "Shock Value" by Timbaland, "Sleep Through the Static" by Jack Johnson, "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay and the "Mamma Mia!" Soundtrack all have spent three weeks or more at the top (in fact they've all spent four or more), so with the Kings' staying at the top for another week they gain the fifth longest running No.1 album of 2008. But with Augie March and Keane releasing new albums this week, their further No.1 run could be in jeopardy.

Australia's Josh Pyke is the highest new album of the week, coming in at No.3 (the first of four Top 10 entries) with "Chimney's Afire". It beats the No.4 peak of his March 2007 album "Memories and Dust".

"Dig Out Your Soul" by Oasis debuts at No.5 to become their sixth Top 10 album in Australia, and their first in over three years. Their previous efforts were...
18-Sep-94*HP-23*WI-29 - Definitely Maybe
22-Oct-95*HP-01*WI-52 - (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (5 weeks)
31-Aug-97*HP-01*WI-10 - Be Here Now (1 week at No.1)
03-Nov-98*HP-36*WI-01 - The Masterplan
12-Mar-00*HP-06*WI-04 - Standing on the Shoulder of Giants
14-July-02*HP-04*WI-09 - Heathen Chemistry
19-Jun-05*HP-05*WI-05 - Don't Believe the Truth
03-Dec-06*HP-34*WI-02 - Stop the Clocks
13-Oct-08*HP-05*WI-01* - Dig Out Your Soul

Chicago four-piece Rise Against had their first charting album with their fourth album "The Sufferer and The Witness" which reached No.21 in July 2006. Now their fifth album "Appeal to Reason" becomes their first Top 10 album by debuting at No.7 this week.

Right behind at No.8 is the debut album for the duo of Sleepy Jackson's Luke Steele and Pnau's Nick Littlemore known as Empire of the Sun. "Walking on a Dream" is the name of the album, as too is the single which jumps up six places to a new peak of No.28. By debuting at No.8, it gives them both their highest placed albums in their charting history. Sleepy Jackson's last album "Personality-One Was a Spider, One Was a Bird" peaked at No.10 (July 2006), and Pnau's highest placed album was their self-titled album from March this year, which reached No.31.

Third album from The Amity Affliction called "Severed Ties" becomes their first Top 50 album here in Australia, debuting at No.26 this week. And another Shock released album comes in at No.28, that being the second album for Sheffield, England's Bring Me the Horizon, with their new album "Suicide Season".

"Paper Trails" by T.I. sneaked into the Top 100 last week at No.98, now it enters the Top 50 at No.30 this week to give him his highest placed album on the Australian album charts.

If a single sells 30,000 downloads, then the physical single only released 5,000 copies does the single then certify Gold when combined?

Im still waiting for Radar to enter the top 50. Womanizer at 16, next week it'll climb into the top 10.

Kate Miller Heidke, a freaky son but i like it.
Sorry, I've missed the past 2 Sunday shows. I was in Cairns for 10 days. Can't wait for next weeks show.

Unfortunetly I missed both Idol and Rove tonight but luckily I have caught up with Idol on the website but what I want to know is what song did Katy Perry sing on Rove?

Should be an interesting chart next week.
Hey Untouched!!

Yes i watched Katy Perry on Rove Live, and she was great live, with a rock remix of "I Kissed a Girl".

During the outdoor performance she jumped off stage briefly
to greet fans, then started freaking out when they all tried
to touch her, so she turned around and smiled then lifted herself back up on stage, rested for a while, then continued with the performance.

She was quirky and funny and treated everyone well,
with a no diva attitude, and the glare in her eyes is hilarious, its like she never blinks. The dress was great, it was pink with dots and suited her svelte figure.

She was very bubbly, and often did twirls and started to spin her body around, it was sooo funny.
Yes billbeast, that is right. For example, Miley Cyrus' 'See You Again' was certified platinum on downloads alone.
Radar won't enter the Top 50 now, it's nearly on it's way out on the Top 100 songs on itunes. The focus is now on Womanizer, which will jump into the Top 10 next week.
"You make it Real" by James Morrison,
has the physical single been cancelled, i couldn't see
it at JBhifi today??
I enjoyed reading ur answers last week so this week I thought I'd get some discussion happening once again with some more questions regarding the charts?

1) Will Pink be knocked from the top spot this week & if so by who?

2) Do you think Katy Perry will manage a top 5 peak with Hot n Cold this week & can I Kissed A Girl re-enter the top 20?

3) What songs will leave the top 10 this week & what will replace them?

4) Will Dizzee Rascal continue to rise?

5) Will Lady Gaga's Poker Face eventually be a hit?

I look forward to reading ur answers, comments and opinions.
1) Will Pink be knocked from the top spot this week & if so by who?

This week the battle will be between Pink & Kings Of Leon. Jason Mraz has lost his chance at #1. Kings Of Leon has replaced Jason Mraz at #1 on the digital charts and also have physical contributing to it's sales where Jason Mraz doesn't. So the only song I think can replace Pink this week is Sex On Fire.

2) Do you think Katy Perry will manage a top 5 peak with Hot n Cold this week & can I Kissed A Girl re-enter the top 20?

Yes, I think Katy will have 2 top 20 hits this week. I Kissed A Girl will rise a few spots and if she is premoting Hot n Cold than that should move up to but not if she does that horrible version she did yesterday on Nova.

3) What songs will leave the top 10 this week & what will replace them?

I think Closer & Disturbia will leave the top 10 this week and be replaced by Womanizer and Running Back.

4) Will Dizzee Rascal continue to rise?

No, I think it has reached it's peak. I don't see it moving up much more.

5) Will Lady Gaga's Poker Face eventually be a hit?

Yes, she'll score another top 20 hit. Poker face wont be anywhere near as big as Just Dance but should peak around #15 once the physical is released.
I predict quite a shake up in next weeks top 10.

Closer, Disturbia & Shake It will probably drop out of the top 10 and be replaced by Womanizer, Running Back & Gotta Be Somebody (if it continues to rise on the digital chart).

Womanizer was #4 on Itunes on the w/e but has slipped back to #5 today so perhaps the hype for this single is already over. I'm pretty confident this wont get #1 this week, it still does have a chance once the physical is released.

Running Back should rise due to the fact it's physical was released this week. Plus Jessica Mauboy took advantage of Idol and performed it live on tonights show. So this should definetly make the top 10 this week.

Kings Of Leon's Sex On Fire is now #1 on Itunes, aided by one of the Idol contestants singing it on last nights show I imagine. With both physical and digital sales this has a good chance at the top spot this week.

Katy Perry is also currently in Oz so this could only mean good things for her singles. Hot n Cold could possably go top 5 this week.

Lady Gaga & Kid Rock will both drop this week. LG will have a big drop. Pink is currently #4 on Itunes so this might see her be replaced from the top.

As of now I predict the top 10 to look something like this:
1. Sex On Fire
2. So What
3. I'm Yours
4. Hot n Cold
5. Running Back
6. Womanizer
7. Electric Feel
8. Just Dance
9. All Summer Long
10. Gotta Be Somebody or Shake It (depending on digital sales).
Poker Face still has a music video to go. it should make the top 10 once that is released. Just Dance is still huge at the moment, and i still don't think it is common knowledge.

Rihanna's 8th single from Good Girl Gone Bad, Rehab, debuts this week on Oz radio stations.
The best album for 2008 according to BJMC is Indestructable by Disturbed. On review it is so far (incredibly) the only album for this entire year to recieve a 5-star rating. BJMC also states that Death Magnetic by Metallica is the second best album for 2008. However, no official review has been published to this date.

Amazed? Wait there's more...

Even more incredible "Inside The Fire" the single from the Disturbed album is currently #4 for the top fifty songs this entire decade!
If anyone is interested in any more information from BJMC please feel free to let me know.
Why didn't release Breakin Dishes as planned. It was supposed to be released after Dont Stop The Music but then the next three shit songs came out. Rehab is still goob but Breaking Dishes is way better.

Peak in the top 50 singles will be......

Leona Lewis- Forgive Me (49-30)
I Hate This Part- PCD (40-30)
Poker Face-Lady GAga (20-18)
Womanizer-Britney (10-1)
Thats Not My Name-Ting Tings (14-10)
Running Back-Jessica Mauboy (10-1)

I think Pink will unfortunately fall to 3
Sex On Fire will go to 2
Im Yours will take the poll position
my predictions for this weeks top 20 end...

#1 Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire.
#2 Pink - So What.
#3 Jessica Mauboy & Flo Rida - Running Back.
#4 Lady GaGa, Colby O'Donis & Akon - Just Dance.

#8 MGMT - Electric Feel.
#9 Britney Spears - Womanizer.

NEW Entries... Top 50.
Nickelback - Gotta Be Somebody.
Killers - Human.
Kaiser Chiefs - Never Miss A Beat.
Secondhand Serenade - Fall For You.

EXIT... Top 50.
Sara Bareilles - Love Song.
Ricki-Lee - Wiggle It.
Vanessa Amorosi - The Simple Things (Something Emotional).
Flo Rida & T-Pain - Low.

RE-ENTRY... Top 50.
--> Will Pink be knocked from the top spot this week... If so by who? -- Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire. A performance on Australian Idol will seal the deal. Only one week atop before Pink - So What steals back pole position.

-->Do you think Katy Perry will manage a top 5 peak with Hot 'N' Cold this week... Can I Kissed A Girl re-enter the top 20? -- Hot 'N' Cold will spend one week at #5 this week. I Kissed A Girl will be #21.

--> What songs will leave the top 10 this week... What will replace them? -- Rihanna - Disturbia, Ne-Yo - Closer both out! Jessica Mauboy & Flo Rida - Running Back, Britney Spears - Womanizer both in!

--> Will Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris & Chrome - Dance Wiv Me continue to rise? -- Yes, hopefully peak at #10.

--> Will Lady Gaga - Poker Face eventually be a hit? -- Yes. not as big as her debut Just Dance.

Also would just like to add... Anastacia - I Can Feel You is a really poor return, especially that Australia is one of her bigger selling markets. It will reflect in her chart position.
1) Kings of Leon will definately climb up the top, but only for a week before p!nk reclimb with extra downloads. However, she will drop fast as attention move to the new album & secong single.
2) Just in top 5 this week with help of promotion, but might drop until the physical is released
3) Ne*yo and RIhanna will drop out and replaced by Britney and Jessica
4) Didnt know where the sudden rise in sale came from, this will unfotunatly be the peak as downloads has gone down
5) i think i would JUSt make it into the top 10 eventually

I agree with Nate about Anastacia, shame that it might not even make the top 50, its not even getting much airplay

interesting seeing Jessica's B-sides for her EP charting in itunes, if it does chart next week that makes the first B-side to chart in ARIA charts??
No, colindacascadaho...Powderfinger did it earlier this year with "One More Kiss As You Fly Away". Only one I can think of off the top of my head.

Strange that they should count as a separate entry though. If it's sold under the banner of being the single (in Powderfinger's case "Who Really Cares") then shouldn't it count towards THAT singles sales?

Same for album tracks...I think they should count towards the album sales. Then we wouldn't get up to (sometimes) 5 songs from an album in the singles charts that aren't actually released as singles.

I only say this because, say The Cast Of Mamma Mia entered something like 6 times (I think?) from the soundtrack without an official single release. That's 6 songs that didn't make the singles chart that were legit and maybe by artists working hard for the recognition, and need it so they CAN make an album.

this wks digital chart should be void... itunes australia suddenly removed Britney's "Womanizer" late last night, which will greatly damage sales as it is starting to get more established in the chart. Im waiting on a reply from itunes support about why. This is really a disgrace. It also happened in the USA where it was sitting at no. 1 for a wk, now that position may be in jeopardy. call me a fanboy, but I think this is really unfair for any artist and the public who get them where they are on the charts.
Hi bulion,
Thanks for the new entries and digital chart positions outside the 50.
Just one more request are you able to give the positions outside the 50 in the main chart for any songs in the Digital Top 50 Chart that did not debut.
e.g. Positions for Akon "Right Now (Na Na Na)" <last week #78> and The Killers "Human" <last week #74>.
If you can it would greatly be appreciated.
this week prediction...

why do people think that 'sex on fire' is going to be no.1?
Due to the fact that it is #1 on Itunes & the physical is selling well too.

Sex On Fire was also sung by a contestant on Sunday's Idol show and as that has shown in previous weeks that it is a big bonus for the song as it helps it rise (Some examples of this include Black & Gold, No Air, I'm Yours & Love song to name a few).
Wow, Jessica Mauboy's song has really taken off this week, it should bullet well into the top 5.

Toxic Boy, I'm not sure if Womanizer was deleted off Itunes but it's ranked at #8 in the top songs atm. This might mean Britney wont be as high this week as I first thought. She was at #4 on Sunday, #5 on Monday & #8 today. Not as big as it was hyped up to be.
Nicnat, I forgot to mention that Closer by Ne-Yo had a significant rise after a contestant sang it on Idol. Weeks after charting from positions 10-17 it rose to #8 the week is was sung on Idol and it still stays in the top 10. Sex On Fire should benefit from Idol too. However, Jessica Mauboy stands a good shot for the #1 position too as she herself sang on Idol on Monday and her single was physically released. Axel Whitehead managed to re-enter the top 50 (almost top 40) when he did the same thing after his song was absent from the charts for numerous months. So looks like it will be a battle between Jessica Mauboy & Kings Of Leon.
Womanizer was accidently deleted off itunes in the US and here. and looking at the RSS feed she's back at #6 when the store gets refreshed.

so i expect she might touch #10.
I hate to be a bother, but can anyone, if they know, list Morrissey's albums and singles' chart positions on the ARIA Charts? He seems to be more of a top 100 fixture than a top 50 one, because his only three of his albums have charted in the ARIA top 50, and those were his early 1990s material. Thanks if you can, it would be much appreciated. I'm planning to fill in Wikipedia with the information.

Bill, I answered that question for you in the "ARIA Top 100 Singles" Thread, along with all your other Garbage related answers

P!nk album has been completely leaked onto the net!!
Hey Bulion,

I'm a big fan of Garbage, will the greatest hits DVD

yes, thanks for the info Bulion.

Speaking of multi-zones, i recently purchased "The Hills" Season 1 from Sanity records, and it wouldn't work
on my tv because of the different zones.

Is there a way to fix this, zones problem??, maybe i should
buy a dvd player, or maybe i could try and watch it via my computer??
Hey on that Pandora archive they don't have the weekly chart for 1998,1999, and 2000. Does anyone have these. Im really intersted in Killing heidi's chart performece for Superman/Supergirl and really ant to no what posiiton it reached.

Brandon, you'll need a multi-zone DVD player, which you can pick up at JB Hi-Fi for under $100. I recently bought a Panasonic one from them that had been superseded by a newer model, and it works wonderfully.
Hey, here's my predictions for this week

Early predictions update:

Only one person has put Pink at No.1, most have put "Sex on Fire", with a couple of people claiming "Running Back" will do a Colbie Caillat (jump from 11 to 1 that is).

... (Dottie), you have put "Just Dance" at No.3 and No.5, so I took it as No.3, but can you fix your predictions to have a different #5.

So far no predictions from HappyPeople, BeansterB, Josh, Qwerty, Martin, Brandon, BillB, Nicanat and Rhys (unless you want me to use your prediction Top 10 from earlier in the week?)

Bulion :in a website it states Cascada - Because the night is released physically on Oct 4, could you help me check if this actually happened? thx
They're released via Central Station through Sony-BMG, and there is nothing on the Sony-BMG release schedule for that song, and also nothing on AMROC.

The only thing that track has been released on (according to C.S. website) is 4Play Volume 8.

thx bulion =]
I will predict Top 10 dropouts. Metro Station, Rhianna and
Ne-yo are all way overdue for a big drop.
2 is a bit dissapointing, but it doesnt matter.
here is my rank of the biggest climbers:
1 running bacl
2 womanizer
3 whatever you like
4 use somebody
congrats dottie for few wins in a row
good to see im consistant =]
use somebody as the biggest climber!!
Jessica Mauboy for biggest riser.
I am hoping it will be Running Back but I have a feeling it'll be Womanizer.
I will post the position until Bulion gets back.

#40 down 4 from 36. I'm Not Over - Carolina Liar

#39 re-entry to top 40 (#43 last week). Love Lockdown - Kanye West
peaked at #37 3 weeks back. I hope it rises cos I like this song.
I'm sure bulion has heaps of info...but for those who join later and want to see what's been played....

40. I'm Not Over - Carolina Liar (down 4 places)

39. Love Lockdown - Kanye West (re-entering - up from 43)

38. See You Again - Miley Cyrus (down 7 possibly biggest drop???)
#38 down 7 from 31. See You Again - Miley Cyrus
Jinx Jack...heh heh

OK, you go ahead.

Thanks, Chri8topher, I'll let u continue posting the positions as I'm doing a bit of filing and tidying up.
Bout time Miley drops. I'm sick of this song.
Hey Everyone, i am ready for a shifitng countdown this week.
I think the biggest overall riser will be Jessica Mauboy & Flo Rida - Running Back.
heh heh...ok.

That's what happens when bulion isn't here to control us...heh heh.

OK, you tidy, i'll post.

Miley should drop out of the top 40 next week due to a few Aussie re-entries from The Arias.
I'm kinda sitting around here doing nothing, so I thought I'd try to do something different. When the time comes, I'll calculate how many positions everyone is away from the predictions. It's great to get it spot on, but I know a lot of people are only 1 or 2 away. We'll see how it goes (and how fun it is). So the lower your score - the better you're doing.
#37. Talk Like That - The Presets. (down from #34)
BIGGEST RISER should be:
Running Back - Jessica Mauboy ft. Flo Rida
3 wins in a row...
This Presets song isn't as good as their previous 2 songs.
yeah...The Presets are getting a but predictable now. Next year's Sneaky Sound System.
#36. I Don't Care - Fall Out Boy. (down just 1 place)
can anyone guess what the new entries to the top 40 are?
and where they will debut?
Nickelback and PCD and something else...all in the 20's???
I am surprised Fall Out Boy's song hasn't been bigger. It's quite a catchy song.
#35. Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin' Better (keeps gettin' worse...down 2 spots - and continuing her underwelming chart run).
3 debuts will be:

Fall For You - Secondhand Serenade
I Hate This Part - Pussycat Dolls
Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback
40 down 4 from 36 - I'm Not Over - Carolina Liar

39 - Love Lockdown - Kanye West

* Debuted at No.37 three weeks ago, and now re-enters at No.39.

38 down 7 from 31 - See You Again - Miley Cyrus

37 down 3 from 34 - Talk Like That - The Presets

* Nominations are for "Album of the Year", "Single of the Year", "Best Group" and "Best Dance Release".

* Have been nominated 6 times during their career (4 this year, 2 in 2006).

36 down 1 from 35 - I Don't Care - Fall Out Boy

* CD Single is out this weekend.

35 down 2 from 33 - Keeps Gettin' Better - Christina Aguilera

* The Greatest Hits Collection also called "Keeps Gettin' Better", will be released as a 16 track CD, or a limited edition CD and DVD pack on November 8th.
ahhh...thanks bulion.
"Keeps Getting Better" should of charted much better than it has. It should have made the top 20.
34 down 4 from 30 - Viva La Vida - Coldplay

1st New Entry up next, the other two are in the Top 30 to 20 region

thanks for filling in the blanks Chri8topher
Hi all, 2 right, I knew this week would be tough, ah well. I'm predicting Jessica Mauboy for biggest climber.

I thought Snow Patrol "Take Back the City" may be one of the new entries, I hope I'm wrong but maybe Nickelback "Gotta Be Somebody" is not being included again.

If there are only 2 new entries in the Top 50 hopefully that is Nickelback and Secondhand Serenade.

3 new entries in Top 40, would be Nickelback, Secondhand Serenade and Pussycat Dolls and the re-entry we know.
howdy all

33 - Take Back The City - Snow Patrol

* Their last album "Eye's Open" spent 5 weeks at No.1 during Jan-Feb 2007, and their new album "A Hundred Million Suns" is out next week.

* They've only had one Top 40 single with the No.22 single "Signal Fire" from May 2007, but did have the No.1 download single "Chasing Cars" too.
Damn, I was hoping Secondhand Serenade would debut.
Hi bulion, I guess it also should be noted that "Chasing Cars" has Platinum accreditation next to it. Now I even more convinced that Nickelback is still not being included.

Mind you could be Secondhand Serenade not being included, but I thought they have the distributor Universal which usually includes all downloaded tracks. Bulion already knows the answer to what the other song is that debuts.

Stuffs up our predictions somewhat when we don't know if something's allowed in!
That's the whole part of predicting chri8topher
i know that...but how can we predict something that's not allowed to chart but is being sold?
Only the record companies have the power to include a track on the main chart or not, we just have to deal with it I'm afraid.
32 down 3 from 29 - White Noise - The Living End

* According to TV Week, The Living End are supposed to be the opening performers at tonight ARIA Awards.

* Previously have been nominated 23 times at the ARIAs, and this year are nominated in 4 catergories, and have in the past won
3 ARIA Awards. This year they are nominated for "Album of the Year", "Single of the Year", "Best Group" and "Best Rock Album", all for White Noise.
31 up 1 from 32 - Burnin' Up - Jonas Brothers

* Their new album "A Little Bit Longer" debuts at No.13 this week.
30 down 5 from 25 - Take Me on the Floor - The Veronicas

* Nominated for 4 ARIA Awards this year, "Highest Selling Album", two in the "Highest Selling Single" and "Best Pop Release".

* Have been nominated 7 times overall, winning in 2006 for "Best Pop Release" for their debut album "The Secret Life of..."

Just to let you all know, Nickelback does NOT debut this week. I will ask Warner this week when they will be including on the charts.

Oh dear...that stuffs my little game up!
Also, hello to everyone on board this week. I did get back a bit late from the airport, so thanks Chri8 for filling in for me.

I will be posting the winners of the ARIA's after the show tonight, so watch that thread for the overall winners.

I hope everyone is well this week too
I don't see The Living End being strong contenders at this years Aria's. Maybe if they had released more singles they'd have a better shot. Their single was released rather late so I don't see them winning much but good luck to them if they do win.
A lot of negative slopes so far!!! Can't see much changing so far

29 down 3 from 23 - No Air - Jordin Sparks

Debuts up next....
The Veronica's should preform a mix of all 4 singles they have relased over the past year at tonights Aria's. Just like Sneaky Sound System did last year.
I'm glad to see No Air drop. It's been around for way tooooooooo long.

28 - I Hate This Part - The Pussycat Dolls

* Second single from their current No.8 album "Doll Domination", and is the follow-up to the No.2 single, "When I Grow Up".

* It becomes their 8th Top 40 single overall, and the girls were at the XBox Sounds at the Sydney Opera house this past week (Oct 15th).
dido Rhys
Is the final new entry is not part of top 50 chart?
OMG, I absolutely love this song. I was wondering who sang it. I love The Pussycat Dolls. They release a great tune everytime. Looks like this will be another top 10 hit for them.
27 - Fall for You - Secondhand Serenade

* Debut single for John Vesely who goes by the name of Secondhand Serenade, and comes from Menlo Park, California.

* His second album "A Twist in My Story" is due to be released here soon.

This is an awesome song. I would like to see this rise.
Yeah, I head this song too during the week and I rate it also.
26 up 1 from 27 - Black and Gold - Sam Sparro

* Nominated for 5 ARIA Awards tonight, "Single of the Year", "Best Male", "Breakthrough Artist-Album", "Breakthrough Artist-Single" and "Best Pop Release".

Black & Gold should rise back into the top 20 next week after tonights performance at The Aria's.

Good to see Empire Of The Sun will score a new peak this week.
25 up 3 from 28 - Walking on a Dream - Empire of the Sun

* The album "Walking on a Dream" is in the Top 10 for a second week, at No.10 this week.
The Presets have already won a few awards, in the pre-show
is that right??
24 down 4 from 20 - Forever - Chris Brown

* New single out next week called "Superhuman", featuring guest vocalist Keri Hilson.
does anyone know when the red carpet starts??
Forever is another song which is long overdue for a bit of declining action. I find it a rather annoying song.
The Living End, opening the show?? really??

i wanted Gaby or The Presets, oh such a shame.

Gaby might close the show.
23 down 1 from 22 - In the Ayer - Flo Rida

MTV's coverage starts at 3:30 our time Brandon
Hey Bulion,

So, this Thursday, the New Releases for Nov 2008, will
be posted, right??

can't wait until Thursday.
Apart from MTV, cause i don't have foxtel or a tv guide.

Does anyone know what time Network 10 will
commence broadcasting, or is everyone else watching
60 minutes instead??
A.R.I.A broadcast starts at 7:30 our time on network 10 Brandon. Delayed
cool, thanks.

Do you still use M4B Central charts, Beanster??

I still use it, but i've been busy so i had no time
to post my charts, will post charts tommorow.

Aria awards aftermath, will have cause turbulence in the charts next week.
Yeah i'm processing my 11th consecutive as we speak.
22 down 5 from 17 - Cry for You - September

* After 10 weeks in the Top 20, September falls down to No.22, but she's paying a visit to Australia at the end of October.

yes Brandon, I'll do the November NR schedule on Thursday.
thats no good that it fell
hope promotion brings new peak and album out nov 15!! cant wait!!
Bad timing for September to come in October. She's appearing down the road from me. Better get the album so I know more than this one!
September is coming to Australia.

Is her new album "Orbits" out yet??
21 down 3 from 18 - When I Grow Up - The Pussycat Dolls

september's satellites was released physically in aus back a long time ago
did it enter the charts at all? even in dance charts?
Kanye West ""Love Lockdown" physical single,
any release date??

Xtina's single "Keeps Gettin Better"'will be out on Mon 27th,
along with Dido and many others.
So, pre-Top 20...

This is how many places everyone has been away from their predictions so far (i decided you get 1 freebie...so every that said Nickelback are safe).

20 up 1 from 21 - I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry

* After her loud and lively performance on Rove last week, this single climbs up one place, but her album "One of the Boys" is up 10 places to a new peak of No.11 this week.

* Anton and Brandon predicted this one to be here
19 up 4 from 23 - Poker Face - Lady GaGa

* CD Single for this one is out next week.

* Her album "The Fame" cracks the Top 10 albums chart this week, coming in at No.7.

* l! and BillB got this one right.

***good one Jabba*** what a stuff-up he just did...
Did Jabba just say Sex On Fire is #1?
yeah, Jack, I thought that! Great!
agree agree he keeps talking over p!nk!!!!
wow!! do the single version n album version contribute together? because poker face is only on the edge of 20 throughout the week in itunes
Well that is the end of the guessing game for #1 single.
Yes he did. He said Kings Of Leon have knocked Pink from the top. Only Jabba would do something stupid like that. Why does Nova keep him on if he's so pathetic?
What a dickhead you are Jabba!
And yes colin both the single and album version are included, just like for T.I. "Whatever You Like" the clean and explicit versions are included which is why it is charting higher than most of us think.

16 down 3 from 13 - Dance Wiv' Me - Dizzee Rascal

* Last week's biggest climber falls back down 3 spots this week.

* only Colin predicted this one to be here.
A few decling songs which is goot to see. Hopefully Disturbia tumbles.

15 up 9 from 24 - Use Somebody - Kings of Leon

* They are No.1 on the album charts for a fourth week and possibly last week, as AC/DC's new album "Black Ice" is out this weekend.

* five people put this at No.16, but no one put it at No.15.

There will 2 new entries to the Top 10 this week.
i like Use Somebody better than Sex Is On Fire
running back and womanizer enters top 10!?

* there are 2 equal biggest rising singles
I missed out, what did Pink say, about her losing
the No.1 spot?
I have hated all T.I.'s previous songs but I do like this one. It's very catchy.
I bought the album "Paper Trail" and it's fantastic!!

Currently No.1 in America.
that two T.I. predictions correct in a row for me...heh heh!
For a rap song, suprisingly I like "Whatever You Like" too. Shame to see Jordin fall.
Now, the red carpet has commenced in Sydney.

* Rebecca & BillB got this one right
"Live Ya Life", 2nd single from T.I features Rihanna.

The video will out soon.

* After 8 weeks inside the Top 10, Rihanna drops down 2 places to No.11.

* 8 out of 14 predictors put this in this spot.

Jessica Mauboy - No.7

Britney Spears - No.6
I couldn't agree more BB
Sarah Palin was on Saturday night live,
along with Tina Fey.

10 down 2 from 8 - Shake it - Metro Station

* Could this be the last week inside the Top 10 for these shakers?

* Nate, ..., Rhys and Chri8 got this one right.
Brandon, how on earth will Jessica Mauboy be lower than Britney?

For starters, Jessica Mauboy has a physical contributing where Britney doesn't and furthermore, Jessica has been higher on Itunes all week than Britney, before and after Britney was deleted for that one day.

No way will Britney be higher than Jessica Mauboy.
Delta Goodrem, won an Aria award.

Highest selling album, is that correct??
Anything is possible, on the Aria charts.

14 weeks in the top 10 for Shake It. Always knew Metro Station would be a big hit.

what oes christopher mean by the love heart
I was calculating how many places away everyone was from their predictions on Sunday's show. Just for a different outcome. But as many had Nickelback in their predictions and they were unfairly not allowed to chart I let everyone have a freebie, so everyone's song that was out the most from your predictions was taken off the tally. The "loveheart" just meant that I hadn't taken the "freebie" off your total yet. Everyone else had chosen Nickelback and had been taken off.

Don't worry, I'm not falling for anyone on this site!...heh heh.
