Last year, this was my official chart. This year, it's more of a side project that I'm continuing out of interest as I've decided to do a real personal chart this year. But I thought I would at least still post the Top 10 for those interested parties, along with other interesting info like Biggest Mover, Biggest Dropper, Highest Debut and the Dinosaur Award for Longest charting song.
This chart is compiled by combing the charts from the following countries:
Australia New Zealand United Kingdom Ireland United States Of America Canada
Points are awarded in an inverse system where a song at #1 gets 100 points and a song at #100 gets 1 point and then it's all combined.
Feel free to ask where or if your favourite song is charting. This chart will typically be updated every Tuesday evening.
TONIGHT (I'M LOVIN' YOU)
Enrique Iglesias featuring Ludacris and DJ Frank E

Horrible to see Firework at #1. The Time is better, but nothing amazing. Great to see Only Girl & What's My Name so high, Raise Your Glass is fine but nothing amazing either. Nice to see Like a G6 still top 10, along with Just the Way You Are, F**k You and Dynamite. Don't like Just a Dream.
Billionaire, Higher and Magic are all great. Christmas Lights is terrible, and the same goes to I Gotta Feeling.
With the release of Grenade in the UK this week and the mid week chart suggesting a #1 debut there. I would say that Grenade can stop BEP recaling the number one crown. Katy was lucky this week, she held BEP off by one point.
I thought you would be happy with the new #1 anton. It was a close contest for biggest dropper this week but Miami 2 Ibiza just edged out Little Lion Man (which was last week's greatest gainer ironically).
Hey, Soul Sister is no longer in the chart, dropped out I think in the last week of 2010.
I reckon Britney might have lost her opportunity at #1, that's the unfortunate thing about big debuts ... although she hasn't debuted in the UK yet has she so maybe she still has a shot! Great top three though, sad that The Time is still in there haha!!!
Ouch for Olly Murs. Is Pretty Girl Rock anywhere in the top 100?
Britney debuted this week in the UK and missed the top spot of this chart by 6 points. The gap between her song and Grenade in the UK and Ireland is what stopped her from claiming her #1 and unless the filmclip can help her rebound I agree, she has lost her spot.
Mumford and Sons are charting in the lower end of the Canadian and US Top 100 and at the lower end of the NZ Top 20. I'm just about to update this week's chart. So I'll provide all Aussie acts after that post.
Enrique debuted in the UK and Irish chart this week. I can't stand the unnecessary swearing version, but the loving version I don't mind. But it is no I Like It. And this is Enrique's 1st #1 ever on my chart I believe.
Moment 4 Life is sitting at 22 (UK), 47 (Ireland), 22 (USA), 56 (Canada). Moment 4 Life just missed out on debuting the previous week. I fully expect Born This Way to be #1, with the only positive being that it at least stops Rihanna getting another blasted #1 on this chart.
wow heapsa movement in the top ten, great to see gaga at #1 (although it was expected). nice debut for glee, any other glee tracks in the top 100??? nice jump for little lion man, i take it that's due to the us charts. nice to see whip my hair drop out too
Adele's success has surprised me. I don't know her or any of her songs and here she is top 10!
Can I have info for all the debuts and Aussie songs please? (If it's not too much). It seems like all the "Biggest Droppers" are songs that drop out of the chart. The last song to not do that was Stay The Night.
thanks billybrett yes need you now is great! Price tag should go up next week possibly top ten!!! Great to see Adele but I wish Someone Like You was doing better worldwide! Wow Teenage Dream has had decent longevity and will probably end up outlasting California Gurls! That's kinda good...
Hey I notice some songs have circles next to these. Are these Gold? Last edited:
@antonnlan - Plans is in the Top 10 of longevity but there are plenty of songs sitting above it that are currently refusing to budge. It is charting in NZ, but only just so its existence on this chart is always by a thread as it is hovering in the 31-40 range in NZ.
Nice to see Rih up to #1, but not nice to see Gaga losing it. We share a top 2 I like everything else in the top ten, some to different amounts than others. Nice debut for Brit. Whereabouts are F**k You, On the Floor, Blow, E.T., Just Can't Get Enough and Written in the Stars this week, if you don't mind? tia.
i am so happy to see Just a Dream leave the chart! It's also good to see Need You Now re-enter. So BillyBrett, in terms of the New Zealand chart, does this chart consider last Monday's one or the one that was just put out yesterday (where Glee - Thriller/Heads Will Roll was #38)?
Also can I just see what number any other Glee tracks are, and also the position of Katy Perry please?
Yeah I was a bit disappointed in its placing BUT it may get a slight re-emergence when the episode screens in the UK and Ireland. That's what has helped Thriller/Heads Will Roll last a month on this chart.
nice jump for on the floor! brilliant! also good to see e.t. into the top ten and rolling in the deep move up too! Can i see what other Glee songs are on the chart this week, and can I please request any other Katy Perry in the top 100 please Billybrett. Thanks.
I quite like the top 9, the Biggest debut and climber, biggest drop and the dinsosaur that is Lady A. Can I please request Jess Mauboy, Keri Hilson, Nicole Scherzinger and Nicki Minaj's places please? Thanks
D Man - Yes it was a huge jump for GaGa, but a bit of a shock with its overall placement. This time last week I thought she would have jumped to #1, then as positions were revealed I was expecting her to land at least at #3, so landing at #5 was very unexpected. And I'm slightly happy with its position being that 'low'
Tracy Chapman's surprise debut is due to renewed interest in the song in the UK and Ireland thanks to some audition on Britain's Got Talent. Last edited:
oh wow i haven't commented in a little while! great to see katy perry move up! get her to #1!!!!! especially over the stinking lazy song. great to see till the world ends move up!
Wow for the jump for Run The World and even more wow for Dynamite! Need You Now needs to r/e asap!
What other Katy Perry songs are charting please BillyBrett, also are there any kiwi artists on the charts (Avalanche City, Brooke Fraser, The Naked and Famous off the top of my head) and any Glee songs on the chart. thank You.
The main problem for Rolling In The Deep in the UK is that Adele chose to perform Someone Like You at the Brit Awards, in what many people thought was a memorable moment. This meant Someone Like You overshadowed the official single being used to promote 21. Someone Like You hit the top based upon that performance and only after it hit the top spot was it determined an official single, as opposed to an album track lucky enough to chart. Someone Like You though did help Rolling In The Deep move back up the chart and hang around, but the UK were too in awe of Someone Like You to get Rolling In The Deep up to the top.
Plus the performance of Someone Like You caused the UK to go a bit nuts with Adele, which helped her get the buzz going in the US which then because she had 'made it in the US' allowed her to achieve success elsewhere.
And Glee definitely helped Rolling In The Deep get to #1 in the US a lot sooner than it might have had without Glee.
It was actually North America that was generous as the US and Canada saw it move up the charts. Everywhere else it dropped. But the fact it is charting in all 6 countries within their Top 40 helps keep it in the Top 10.
The Potbellez re-entered the NZ chart this week to go back up the charts.
Nice rise for The Edge of Glory and great to see Last Friday Night into the top ten and Super Bass move up. Can I please check the Adele positions as well as any further Katy Perry tracks. Thanks BillyBrett.
