Justice Crew spend a second week at No.1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with their second chart-topping single “Que Sera”, the track debuting with Gold sales status, this week though it’s doubled that to achieve ▲Platinum in sales.

The track also equals their previous No.1 “Boom Boom” and its run of two weeks at the top, so if Que Sera stays for a third week it will become the longest run at the top for Justice Crew. And threatening that run are Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea with “Problem” which is spending its second week at No.2, with our neighbors New Zealand the only country to give it a No.1 berth (so far).

Making up a mostly Aussie Top 3 (alongside JC and Iggy) are Sheppard with “Geronimo”, which is back up a place to No.3, whilst ZHU leaps up six places to No.4 with his electro track “Faded”, with Australia the only country (I could find) to be charting this song, and Zhu’s jump in turn pushes Ed Sheeran with “Sing” down two places for a second week, to No.5 this week.

David Guetta, Showtek and Vassy hold at No.6 with “Bad”, whilst Jason DeRulo is down a couple of places to No.7 with “Wiggle” featuring Snoop Dogg. Sam Smith holds onto No.8 for a second week with “Stay With Me”, whilst Milky Chance jump up four places to No.9 with “Stolen Dance”, Australia now the 14th country to make it a Top 10 hit, and lastly the seventh single-titled song within the Top 10, down a place to No.10 is Sia with “Chandelier”, spending its seventh (and possibly final) week within the ten.

NEW PEAKS & MOVERS: Jumping up eight places to a new peak of No.13 is DJ Snake and Lil’ Jon with “Turn Down for What”, which is the only other new certification for the week, achieving Gold (●) in sales. After returning to the ARIA Chart at No.42 last week, and also reclaiming the No.1 spot in the UK for a second week (after Calvin Harris took over for a week), Dutch DJ Mr. Probz and his track “Waves” swells up twenty-seven places to No.15 this week. With the new Michael Jackson album “Xscape” debuting at No.3, the albums lead single “Love Never Felt so Good” featuring Justin Timberlake this week is up to a new peak of No.28 and right behind them, leaping thirty spots to No.29 are Nico & Vinz with “Am I Wrong?”. Illy lands his highest charting single this week, as “Tightrope” is up fifteen places to No.33, beating the No.38 peak of his previous best effort “Youngbloods” (peaked Oct 2013). American Authors climb back up five to No.42 with “Best Day of My Life” and returning to the Top 50, up twenty-one spots to No.48 are Vance Joy with “Riptide”, due to a version being sung on ‘The Voice: Blind Auditions’ this past week, and the track is currently Top 10 in several European countries.

DOWN DOWN: After two weeks within the Top 10, “Fancy” for Iggy Azalea drops back down four places to No.11 after peaking at No.7 last week, and last weeks No.11 debut for Coldplay “A Sky Full of Stars” tumbles down fourteen spots to No.25. After leaping to a new peak of No.16 last week, Idina Menzel and her version of “Let it Go” is back down to No.21 this week, whilst Justin Timberlake is also down five spots to No.23 with “Not a Bad Thing”. Zendaya is down seven spots to No.31 with “Replay” and “Love Runs Out” for OneRepublic, as they fall twelve to No.35. Further drops come via Demi Lovato and her version of “Let it Go” (37 to 52), The Chainsmokers “#SELFIE” (49 to 62), Passenger with “Hearts on Fire” (35 to 65) and now that the ‘Gallipoli’ promos have ceased, Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” falls back thirty spots to No.68, whilst the biggest tumble of the week sees Ricki-Lee down almost sixty spots with “All We Need is Love” (39 to 98).

The top two debuts are by the same group, local Sydney band 5 Seconds of Summer, who enter with “Don't Stop” at No.12 and “Good Girls” at No.19, whilst their former No.1 single “She Looks So Perfect” is on hold at No.20 this week, giving the guys three Top 20 entries for the week, with the last act to have three Top 20 entries in a single week being The Voice 2013 winner Harrison Craig on the week of 24-June-2013. Both of the new 5SOS tracks are taken from their forthcoming “Don’t Stop” EP which is out June 13th, with their self-titled debut album out June 27th. These two new entries become the bands third and fourth Top 100 entry and second and third Top 50 placing.

Jessica Mauboy performed last Saturday night (here) at the second semi-final of Eurovision, becoming the first invited Australian act to perform during the show (she sang her song whilst the votes were tallied), and the song she sang “Sea of Flags” which was written especially for her appearance, debuts at No.40 this week becoming her 19th Top 100 entry and 18th Top 50 entry.

The first taste of the forthcoming eighth studio album for Usher (as yet untitled) debuts at No.44 entitled “Good Kisser”, becoming his 31st Top 100 entry and his 27th Top 50 hit, with his last chart appearance being on the Ludacris and David Guetta song “Rest of My Life” (HP-16, peaked December 2012), whilst his last lead entry was “Numb” (HP-39, peaked late October 2012).

Lower 50: Kiesza jumps up twenty-six places to No.54 with “Hideaway” and another new entry from last week, Tove Lo with “Stay High” is up to a new peak of No.55 this week. Lana Del Rey is back up six spots to No.71 with “West Coast” (HP-44) and the first two of the three returning tracks are both ‘The Voice’ related, with “Stay” (HP-4) for Rihanna back in at No.89 and The Black Eyed Peas return at No.93 with their first No.1 single here “Where is the Love” (HP-1x6, peaked late August 2003), which also benefits from the Joanna Lumley interview with Will.i.am after Tuesday nights episode. The final returnee is at 100, as Skrillex is back in with “Recess” (HP-47).

Tiesto debuts at No.51 with Matthew Koma on the track “Wasted”, becoming his fifth Top 100 entry, and he recently scored his first Top 10 track on the ARIA Singles chart when “Red Lights” went to No.8 in late January of this year. Returning to the charts at No.58 is Linkin Park with “Until it's Gone”, the first single to be lifted from their mid-June due sixth studio album “The Hunting Party” and it becomes the bands 22nd Singles chart entry.

The past several years we have seen the Eurovision winner jump into the charts the week after the show, but this year something a little different has occurred, as the winner from Austria, drag-artiste Conchita Wurst with “Rise Like a Phoenix” does not make the Top 100 this week, but the second and third placed winners do enter the charts. Second placed The Netherlands with their group The Common Linnets debut at No.66 with “Calm After the Storm” and third placed Sweden, the song performed by Sanna Nielsen is “Undo”, and it enters at No.81. The last time a non-winner from Eurovision entered the ARIA Charts was 1996’s eighth placed English entrant Gina G (who was Australian in the first place) with “Ooh Aah…Just a Little Bit” (HP-5, peaked June 1996). The last time two Eurovision songs made the charts was back in 1974 when the winners for that year ABBA made it to No.4 in mid-August with “Waterloo”, the other song to chart from that years contest was the song from the UK “Long Live Love” performed by Olivia Newton-John (HP-11, peaked Sept 1974). Lastly the only other time that two non-winning entries from Eurovision have made the charts was the year prior, 1973, when third-placed UK entrant Cliff Richard with “Power to All Our Friends” (HP-31, May 1973) and second placed Spain and their group Mocedades “Eres Tu” (HP-30, peaked early May 1974 {a year after the show}) both charted, although at different times.

The new entry between the two Eurovision debuts is at No.72, The Janoskians with the ska infused track “Real Girls Eat Cake”, which becomes the local acts third chart entry, having previously charted with “Set This World on Fire” (HP-19, peaked October 2012) and “Best Friends” (HP-30, May 2013).

The eighth studio album for US band The Black Keys “Turn Blue” becomes the bands first No.1 album in Australia, as it debuts at the top of the ARIA Albums chart this week.

“Turn Blue” becomes the 702nd No.1 album in Australia (1965 to 2014) and the 553rd for ARIA (1983 to 2014), and by debuting at the top it becomes the 351st album to enter at No.1. It’s the first time that the Nonesuch record label (through Warner) has achieved a berth at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, and it’s the seventh time that the word ‘Blue’ has appeared at No.1, but the first time that ‘Turn’ has been at the top of the charts.

This new No.1 also becomes the 256th chart-topping album for an American act (Pharrell was the last back in mid-March) and The Black Keys become the 141st American act to reach the top. Plus they’re also the 330th Group to reach the top of the ARIA Albums chart and the 63rd American Group to do so, with the last US group to make it to the summit being in June 2013 when Queens of the Stone Age did so for a week with “…Like Clockwork”.

“Turn Blue” also becomes the seventh charted (of eight studio) album for The Black Keys and now the third Top 10 placed, as their previous album “El Camino” (TW-85) made it to No.3 in mid-February of 2012 and their first Top 10 was “Brothers” (HP-8, May 2010), the bands sixth studio set. And thanks to his national tour, Michael Buble holds at No.2 with “To Be Loved”, the album was spending its fifth and final week at No.1 this week last year.

Michael Jackson debuts at No.3 with “Xscape”, an album of previously un-released material, which includes the current Top 30 single “Love Never Felt so Good” (TW-28) featuring Justin Timberlake, and with the album being released on Tuesday, this position is after only two to three days of sales, but with the new Coldplay album out as of Friday (16th May), Michael might not get to the top next week. This new entry becomes Michael’s 13th studio album, and second posthumous release after “Michael” debuted and peaked at No.10 in December 2010, and “Xscape” also becomes his fourteenth Top 10 album in Australia.

After two weeks at No.1, the ‘Frozen’ soundtrack drops back down to No.4, and climbing back up four places to No.5 are INXS with their “The Very Best of” compilation. Harrison Craig climbs back up a place to No.6 with his “L.O.V.E.” album whilst also up a place, and scoring a new peak of No.7, is Cliff Richard with “The Fabulous Rock ‘N’ Roll Songbook”. The Arctic Monkeys tour helps their current album “AM” back into the Top 10, up five to No.8 and making it a fifth week within the Top 10, the last time it was in the ten was back in mid-February for a single week at #10. After leaping into the ten at No.6 last week, Sol3 Mio and their self-titled album drop back down to No.9 and holding at No.10 for another week is the former No.1 album for Chet Faker “Built on Glass”.

NEW PEAKS & MOVERS: The Eurovision Song Contest for 2014 was held in Copenhagen, Denmark last weekend, and the album for the show scores the series’ its highest chart placing, as the 2014 edition leaps back up eighty-four spots to a new peak of No.13, the 2013 edition made it to No.16 and the 2012 album made it to No.15. And with Jessica Mauboy appearing on the second semi-final singing the song “Sea of Flags” (TW-40), her album “Beautiful” is back up ten places to No.15 this week. “The NightDay” EP for ZHU is up a couple of places to a new peak of No.18 and Avicii is up ten spots to No.24 with “True”. Sarah McLachlan’s latest album “Shine On” debuted at No.87 last week on digital sales, with the physical release helping it this week to jump up sixty-one places to a new peak of No.26 becoming her third Top 30 placing here. Ahead of his shows here soon, Keith Urban is back up thirteen places to No.35 with “Fuse” and also returning to the Top 50 this week are James Blunt with “Moon Landing” (54 to 41), “Native” for OneRepublic (57 to 48) and Rufus with “Atlas” (60 to 50).

DOWN DOWN: The three albums that fall out of the Top 10 this week are all last weeks debuts from within the ten, Lily Allen with “Sheezus” (4 to 12), the highest entry of “So We Can Remember” for Thundamentals (3 to 20) and In Hearts Wake with “Earthwalker” (5 to 29). Iggy Azalea suffered a similar drop last week, and this week “The New Classic” falls seven places to No.21, with Russell Morris down six to No.25 with “Van Diemen’s Land”. The Angels’ two compilation entries from last week both drop down, Volume 1 (Studio Hits) falls thirteen places to No.34 and Volume 2 (Live Hits) suffers a worse drop (38 to 94). Tina Arena’s “Reset” is back down nine to No.45 and the “Love Child” TV Soundtrack falls back seventeen to No.49, whilst also falling out the Top 50 are Asgeir (42 to 53), Paolo Nutini (29 to 57), David Hobson & Rachael Beck (39 to 59), Ben Harper (40 to 73), Disclosure (50 to 74), DZ Deathrays (23 to 75), MKTO (44 to 82), Hugh Laurie’s “Didn’t it Rain” (31 to 93) and leaving from last weeks Top 50 and out of the hundred this week is Ray LaMontagne with “Supernova” (#49).

The fourth album for local long-facial-haired act The Beards debuts at No.30 entitled “The Beard Album”, becoming the bands second ARIA Albums chart entry, as their third set “Having a Beard is the New Not Having a Beard” made it No.63 in March 2012. New at No.36 is the debut album for English singer Foxes entitled “Glorious”, whilst the No.38 entry of “I Never Learn” for Lykke Li is the second album to chart here for the Swedish singer-songwriter, as her second studio album “Wounded Rhymes” made it to No.30 in March 2011.

Another Swedish act in the form of the group Little Dragon debut at No.44 with their fourth studio album “Nabuma Rubberband”, becoming their second charting album in Australia, as their previous release “Ritual Union” made it to No.91 in August of 2011. The final Top 50 entry of the week is the self-titled album for Killer Be Killed, new at No.47. The band is made up of members from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura, Mastodon and The Mars Volta.

Lower 50: Illy lands his highest charting single this week with “Tightrope” (TW-33) and this helps his current album “Cinematic” to jump back up twelve places to No.52 this week. And with the new Michael Jackson album debuting high, his compilation “The Essential” is back up twenty-six places to No.56. “Harlequin Dream” for Boy & Bear is back up thirteen places to No.64 and returning albums this week come from Bastille (#69), the soundtrack for ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ (#71) as the DVD/BR was released here this past week, a third Top 100 placing for The Arctic Monkeys as “Suck it and See” (HP-4) is back in at No.84, ‘The Voice’ 2014 judge Will.i.am is back in at No.88 with his “#Willpower” (HP-9) album, “The 20/20 Experience – The Complete Experience” for Justin Timberlake (#90), “Hybrid Theory” for Linkin Park (#95), “The Number Ones” for The Bee Gees (#97) and finally Paloma Faith with “A Perfect Contradiction” (#98).

Melbourne band Closure in Moscow this week see their second studio album “Pink Lemonade” become their first Albums Chart entry, as it debuts at No.58 this week. The fourteenth studio album for Tori Amos entitled “Unrepentant Geraldines” enters at No.61 becoming her 14th albums chart entry (13 studio and 1 GH set, album #11 didn’t chart here), and it enters one place lower than her previous entry, “Gold Dust” (HP-60, October 2012).

US band Down enter at No.79 with their EP “Down IV - Part II”, whilst the first part made it to No.58 in September 2012, and this becomes the bands fifth albums chart entry overall on the ARIA Charts. The final new entry is at No.87, the sixth studio and first self-titled album for Natalie Merchant, which becomes her fourth ARIA Albums chart entry and her first since 2002’s “Motherland” (HP-83, February 2002).

Really enjoying "Marilyn Monroe" though I do disagree with that terrible hat!

"Love Runs Out" deserves much better success!

RE-ENTRY #1NEW PEAK #133^1548833Illy (feat Scarlett Stevens) - Tightrope

So very pleased at the underwhelming success of "Birthday"

Bought "Tightrope" today
32v4281110Pitbull (feat G.R.L.) - Wild Wild Love <G>

another even number
I wish Birthday was doing better . Shame to see I Got U down too. Yay at this still on an even number
31v724138Zendaya - Replay <P>

I actually really like "Wild Wild Love"

"Replay" I have never honestly played back to back!
30v327106Jessica Mauboy - Never Be The Same <G>

NEW ENTRY #229^3059229Nico & Vinz - Am I Wrong?

The ACI trendsetting lately
"Never Be The Same" is quite difficult to listen to the song in full without wanting to change the song

Am I Wrong? ... Never heard of it...

27v126152Clean Bandit (feat Jess Glynne) - Rather Be <P>2

No big drop this week
Never Be The Same Again is one of her better songs.
Surprised it hasn't been used in more promotion. This is a chart run I feel just for a Mauboy hit.
"Love Never Felt So Good" = A step in the right direction for the Jackson franchise.

"Rather Be" shamefully denied a singular week @ #01! Still awesome...
26v125910DVBBS & Borgeous (feat Tinie Tempah) - Tsunami (Jump) <G>

25v14211Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars

Still shite.
I have hoped & prayed that a real "Tsunami" will wipe out the amazingly shit Tinie Tempah!

"A Sky Full Of Stars" I am yet to hear, however Hijinx has made clear several times it is quite terrible!

23v518810Justin Timberlake - Not A Bad Thing

On a more serious note, "My Love" is utterly sublime! Jess Glynne has attached her name to some seriously great stuff!

"Not A Bad Thing" is making me fall in love again with Justin Timberlake. His music that is! Let's get back to a LoveStoned time.
it's not such a bad thing to do so
22v31994Calvin Harris - Summer <G>

21v5162016Idina Menzel - Let It Go <P>

I have been on board the Calvin Harris train since day DOT! However I am somewhat disappointed that his craft his becoming more & more generic. "Summer" is just okay.

I saw Idina Menzel when I saw the opening of Wicked in Melbourne. One word WOW! So I am pleased "Let It Go" has done well.

(Plz don't be shit)
I am still confused?!? How can 5 Seconds Of Summer be classified as a boyband when they play instruments? "She Looks So Perfect" has grown on me a little...

"Good Girls" ? I am still yet to hear this. I take it Oz Artist Of The Year for this year has already been decided!
No, by then, 5SOS will be so passé and they'll rig it so some up and coming boyband win it

18v414231Pharrell Williams - Happy <P>7

I can fix that matty d, I just need some time
I've always thought of boybands as a group of three or males where all members sing and the music is marketed to teen girls. 5SOS fit that criteria I think

Also She Looks So Perfect just sounds like a One Direction song with a more rockish sound

17HOLD17115Coldplay - Magic <P>

Considering so many songs are being flushed out so quickly it's a shame songs like Happy linger around and take forever to leave.
Thanks Hijinx

5SOS is a boyband the same way Hanson and Bros were in the day
"Happy" still makes me feel Happy so that is a good thing!

I have never really loved or hated Coldplay. Some songs are meh others are ace then others I just enjoy when I hear them. "Magic" fits into the enjoy category.
16v115135Peking Duk - High <P>

I too find Coldplay on the overrated side but I am really enjoying Magic and am finding it one of their best hits to date.
NEW ENTRY #415^2742315Mr. Probz - Waves

Considering we're not even half way through the year I reckon 2014 has been a pretty solid year in terms of great music.

2014 has also been a solid year with Aussie music. Sheppard, Sia, Peking Duk, 5SOS, Iggy Azaela and even Justice Crew. Should make for a decent ARIA awards if it continues.
Peking Duk & Nicole Millar both need to stop what they're doing. "High" is perfection anything further may hurt what you have created!

"Waves" ... yet another song I am unfamiliar with. I'm guessing as it was a UK #01 it might be worthwhile giving a listen to.
Patiently waiting for this to crack the iTunes top 10.
14v21265Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down <G>

Can it make a second week #1 on the ACI? Wait until tomorrow to find out

Sort of surprised how quickly this has been flushed out though.
5SOS are pretty much what Short Stack were years ago, I think
NEW PEAK #313^8211213DJ Snake (feat Lil Jon) - Turn Down For What <G>NEW CERT

Slightly worried this is peaking already
Rita Ora for me really is a surprise package. I have enjoyed all single releases so far. "I Will Never Let You Down" is a really pleasant listen. Though I feel sometimes she is a Rihanna wannabe.

Normally I would dislike "Turn Down For What" with a passion. However getting to see what Lil Jon is like via The Celebrity Apprentice makes me really dig this track.
I'm surprised you enjoy Turn Down For What jinx
NEW ENTRY #512NE TO T1001125 Seconds Of Summer - Don't Stop

it's too much fun

Also this is easily the best of their top 20 entries.
Getting to the point of overkill now
11v47107Iggy Azalea (feat Charli XCX) - Fancy <G>

Interesting to see if this can go #1 on Billboard.
I heard "Don't Stop" on the radio the other day. Hmmm... still undecided. If it has peaked already I might enjoy it a little more possibly.

Seriously fuck me! "Fancy" is so grouse! I have decided that Iggy Azalea & Macklemore & Ryan Lewis must collaborate A.S.A.P. Then Macklemore & Iggy need to hook up! Fuck Yeah!
10v1992Sia - Chandelier <G>

NEW PEAK #49^41349Milky Chance - Stolen Dance

Okay, so I purchased Sia's previous album We Are Born when it finally surfaced & was pleased. Though I don't feel "Chandelier" fits into the same category. I feel as if I should enjoy this more than I actually do.

After seeing "Stolen Dance" swiftly moving up on iTunes I gave the sample a listen. Didn't feel it, can't see why it is rising. Though until I listen in full numerous times an overall conclusion cannot yet be made.
8PEAK HOLD838Sam Smith - Stay With Me

7v2543Jason Derulo (feat Snoop Dogg) - Wiggle

Have only heard "Stay With Me" once on the radio. It instantly drew me in and I wanted more... Same thing happened with "Latch"

Back to serious mode! I am a fan of Jason Derulo I have enjoyed his output to date. BUT "Wiggle" is a big piece of steaming dog shit! Period!
6HOLD645David Guetta & Showtek (feat Vassy) - Bad <G>

5v2331Ed Sheeran - Sing <G>

David Guetta in general just frustrates me... He tends to produce some of the most generic drivel going around and his hair just needs the snip! The lyric video on "Bad" won me over and it should just become the official video. It's homages to Michael Jackson are good whilst being a zombie fascinator it had me glued to the T.V. Let's face it's that chorus...

Gosh, I am still yet to invest any time into "Sing" since it's release. Maybe once it clocks it's 400 I will show some interest. Undecided overall.
NEW PEAK #54^61044ZHU - Faded

Highlights the difference in the AU/UK charts and radio. Over there, with the bubbling pre-orders, radio would have taken notice, here it's clear that no one noticed until it charted, hence the rocky chart run
I will never not be amazed
3^1481Sheppard - Geronimo <G>

Zhu... I'm speechless. I'm hooked on this track. It takes me on a wondrous journey that I just can't get enough of! It needs either a #01 / #02 peak. This coupled with "My Love" why the hell aren't I burning up a dance floor somewhere?

"Let Me Down Easy" I loved from first listen. "Geronimo" had the same effect. I am awaiting a fantastic debut album. I have nothing but praise for this gem!
2PEAK HOLD232Ariana Grande (feat Iggy Azalea) - Problem

Ooh this top 10 is looking pretty good so far...
I think I know why I was almost left out this week

I still don't know why certain songs are denied charting in this day and age, I mean it's not like 10 years ago where singles were pulled from the shelves to "encourage" (more like force) promoted singles to get to #1
12nd Week @ #1121Justice Crew - Que Sera <P>NEW CERT

@matty d but there's nothing denied in the top 50 this week and last week, enjoy these rare times!
I was referring to songs like "dark horse," I know it's random but I can't help bringing it up when 5SOS has 3 entries in the top 20
I have a "Problem" though it's not with this brilliant song it's position! It deserves poll position! Ariana Grande will be abe to build a massive career from this excellent track if she is smart. It's very reminiscent of Christina Aguilera. Iggy's touch just makes a great track greater!

"Que Sera" the meaning being what has to be will be. I already had a putrid hatred for Justice Crew and this abomination has just fuelled my fire and made me seething with anger. How dare Australia show any support for a group that cannot actually hold a tune with the voices they have meaning they cannot perform live. I don't think there's any point to lip synching either. They don't hold a talent to play an instrument or lyrical abilities to write a meaningful track. Sampling is so much more effective. If anyone needs to highlight what is wrong with music today this song is it. It's so very disappointing to see tremendous songs behind one of the worst #01's this country has ever seen. It's not about taste or improvement or how catchy it is. It's about the fact that this is a design to make $'s & I cannot recall in music history anyone with zero talent actually sitting on top the throne!
Jason Derulio, Will I Am, LMFAO, Ke$ha, Milli Vanilli (album chart) just to name a few talent less people who topped the charts
Baha Men?
Okay, let's break it down...

Jason Derulo --> Can clearly sing, as a matter of fact very well.

Will.I.Am --> has written & produced some really good material can also rap.

LMFAO --> They have written & believe it or not are dj's they make the music you are hearing.

Ke$ha --> Continuously writing songs, I believe I have heard some decent live performances from her.

Baha Men --> Once again write their own material, can play instruments & can actually rap.

Milli Vanilli were a sham & the music world turned there back on them when it was found out.

So none of these match the awfulness that is Justice Crew.

There IS not another artist who has sat at the throne who fits in this category.

There are plenty of talentless hacks who have made it to #1. But what's a ridiculous, baseless rant when you try to apply logic.

However, since you seem to be so good at spinning shit, please explain to me the talent of, say, Las Ketchup, Crazy Frog, Nitty and Kid Rock.

Then explain to me why you feel the need to state your opinion as fact, and in such a condescending manner too. It's all subjective, and just telling people your opinion is a fact doesn't actually make it one.
In my opinion the only artist mentioned in the past few posts that would come close to musically talentless is Crazy Frog. The rest all have varying degrees of talent imo, it's just that most have little. But that's just my opinion of course, I'm sure many would disagree

P.S. I think Flo Rida and Pitbull are worse than some of these artists mentioned and I think they'd make a better example of talentless artists who have gone to #1 instead of Will.I.Am or Baha Men
Dammit I had picked Crazy Frog for being mentioned in this thread a good 12 hours later than that
I was going to list a whole lot more, but if Nate can try to defend the likes of Baha Men or not count Milli Vanilli because they were 'found out as a sham' which somehow invalidates him essentially agreeing that they do fit, then surely he can find ways to defend anyone.

Zacco, you never state whether you think Justice Crew qualify as musically talentless or not?
I'd have to yes I think they are, or at least have an extremely low level of musical talent. Calling them just talentless would be wrong, even though I don't pay much attention to their dancing there's no denying they're good at it. Although I suppose it's possible that at least one could sing or play an instrument, but I may never find out

Que Sera being #1 doesn't bother me as much as it does some people. Mostly because I actually like it and it's easily their best effort and it at least sounds like an attempt to make music that doesn't reek of no talent. At least it's not a generic dance-pop party track and at least it has no hideous vocals or noticeable autotune. But Justice Crew are still terrible and don't really deserve to have a record contract so it's still annoying to see Que Sara at #1. Plus it's blocking a much better track from #1.

And I just remembered I forgot to mention Reece Mastin in my last post, I certainly think he's worse than Jason Derulo, Will.I.Am, LMFAO, Ke$ha, Baha Men, Las Ketchup, Nitty, Kid Rock, Pitbull or Flo Rida
Last edited:
bluezombie; "I'm spinning shit" I have seen posted from you a couple of times from you.

If you think my post is condescending that's your interpretation as it's letters in a forum not words out of my mouth.

First off I did not "not count" Milli Vanilli! Anyone who was in the chat the other day clearly saw me type this is just like Milli Vanilli the difference between the two is Milli Vanilli were pretending to be someone else & when it was divulged that this was occurring they were stripped of their awards and it ended their career.

Justice Crew are known to be a dance troupe so they are known not to write, sing, play instruments...
Don't get me wrong I'm sure a couple of those lads do have talent in one of those fields but the concept of Justice Crew is to make a quick buck.

Your suggestions once again fall straight into the same category as all the others mentioned they have talent in the music field!

Justice Crew are still yet to perform any material live...
Que Sera if we look in the scope of just Justice Crew is an improvement. In general it is catchier than some other stuff that has or has not charted it's the who that's attached to it.

I am free to commentate, voice my opinion whether it be positive or negative. I have not put down anyone in particular. I am here to discuss music. I have been here since 2006 and in no way am I going to have you think you can beat me down personally.

I am passionate when it comes to music as are the others on this site and when you attempt to put me down it just makes me reflect on some friends we have lost on the site because of personal attacks.

Just talk about the tunes. Not Me.

I'm certainly not arguing that they're not talentless (nor am I saying they are, I haven't decided ) just that they wouldn't be the only ones, and that it's not a fact. I mean, personally I think Iggy Azalea is terrible and her album is obnoxious and near on unbearable from start to finish, but I'm not going to rant that she's the most talentless person ever just because I don't like her. Obviously a lot of other people do like her.

I can't believe I forgot Mastin too! I was even thinking of reality people to include (but figured they'd get a generic "but they can sing!!!11!!!one!!" defense, so I didn't) but still didn't think of him. I think he's worse than most too; even if I've enjoyed some of his songs, that's in spite of him not because of him.

I don't count Pitbull ftr because his is only a featuring #1.
@Nate: I'll need proof of that, because I feel fairly confident I've never posted those exact words before, even writing them before felt weird because it's not something I generally say.

I wasn't in chat the other day so I don't know what you said there, I was simply going by what you wrote above. "Milli Vanilli were a sham & the music world turned there back on them when it was found out. So none of these match the awfulness that is Justice Crew."

However, if your concept of no talent is that they're designed to make money, then most musical acts have no talent. Certainly the likes of Bardot and Scandal'us would qualify, with the bands formed for a television show.

Justice Crew have recently been on a tour and they performed in my town. I didn't go but I have assumed they performed their songs live, perhaps they don't though. I know a lot of artists don't.

You are absolutely free to voice both your negative and positive opinions. I am not trying to beat you down, however I take exception to you presenting your opinions as facts which you have a tendency to do. Your initial post doesn't do that, but when others presented their own opinions of talentless acts, you argued against them and summed up that there "IS" nobody else who fits the criteria. In the same way that you're free to voice your opinions, others are too. You can disagree, but you should certainly do so in a way that shows respect for opinions that are different.

I wasn't trying to put you down and I'm still not. I hope I've explained this better this time.

Edit: I do still want to know what talent there is in Crazy Frog though.

A lot of the above mentioned songs have had decent chart runs.

Who Let The Dogs Out is a classic. It was huge and a fun party song at the time. I have since heard it at numerous Bulldogs games as well as seen it on wedding videos referring to the men in the bridal party. I think it was a great song and deserved it's chart run at the top.

Justice Crew might be talented in dance more so than singing but the fact both their #1 hits have not been a one week wonder and fell from the chart in a matter of weeks is enough to say it's worthy of the top spot.

I hate it when songs like Reece Mastin, Karise Eden and Dami'In (however you say it) go #1 based on a TV show or due to performing and fall out of the charts within weeks and even fail to make the top 100 year end.

Basing the fact JC have gone platinum this week, I think this has potential to be their biggest hit and possibly a top 5 contender in the year end chart.

So undeserving I disagree, I do agree however, that it's fucked up they scored a record deal when they were a dancing act and are doing better than any singing act from any reality show. Makes the worth of these reality shows pretty pointless.
LOL, I didn't even think of Flo Rida or Pitbull, I was also gonna say Britney Spears but remembered that she started out OK, I think the real discussion here is people who go to #1 WITHOUT using their talents

To me, Justice crew are far from the worst act to top the charts, they're just too generic for me to hate on, now if it was the Janoskians topping the charts then we'd have a winner but thankfully we're moving away from handing success to pretentious shits like them
Seriously why are some taking offence at Nate's opinion or facts or whatever? Take it with a grain of salt and get over yourselves, more important things to worry about than trying to be a superior music critic.
I'll keep saying it until the cows come home, until some of us change our attitudes towards others we will continue to lose valued members of this site, this is not some exclusive boys club.
I don't see anything wrong with what Nate did or said myself. Perhaps we should just accept that people express their own opinions in different ways to others
With fortunately less Justice Crew, the stream is up

Lol Wasted
Good band with proven longevity in the industry at #1 there
It's a bit awkward to do so now with so many posts in between but I have something I'd like to say regarding the issue from last night. I still stand by what I said as it is my opinion however it didn't need to be said and for that I am sorry. I should have just stayed out of it. One of the reasons I've taken a noticeable step back from a lot of things on this site recently is because I had been taking it far too seriously. I had been enjoying things less as a result. Since realising this and taking a step back things had improved and I was enjoying myself more here. However I do still sometimes fall back into old habits and that is what happened last night. It's particularly annoying as a similar situation happened the night before in my real life and I was able to avoid doing so and was quite happy with myself that I had. I wish I had been able to last night. I hope we can all move forward from here.
