For a second week at No.1 in Australia are Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber with their worldwide chart-topping track "Despacito".

"Despacito" is now at the top in the USA, Canada, England, Ireland, New Zealand and here, only the fourteenth time that all six charts have had the same No.1 in the same week ("Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran was the last time all six matched), and by staying at the top here for a second week, it moves Justin Bieber's tally of weeks at No.1 to seventeen weeks in total, moving him from equal fifth to now outright fifth on the list for 'Acccumulated Weeks at No.1: 2010's; Singles', as he sits two weeks behind the next act on that list, LMFAO with 19 weeks. On the similar listing for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: 1940 to 2017; Singles', JB is now equal fortieth alongside Pink (8 No.1's), The Platters and Ke$ha (3 No.1's each) who have all racked up seventeen weeks at the top in Australia.

Justin is also at No.2 again this week with his appearance on the DJ Khaled track "I'm the One" with the rappers Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil' Wayne, plus its a stable Top 3 this week, as last weeks highest entry for Miley Cyrus and "Malibu" stays at No.3 for a second week. It must be noticed too that the Top 9 songs almost all stay in place this week, the only changes are up next at No.4 and No.5, swapping places from last week, with "Galway Girl" for Ed Sheeran back up one to No.4 and down a spot to No.5 is Harry Styles' "Sign of the Times". The next four tracks are all in the same place as last week, "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran at No.6, "Humble." for Kendrick Lamar at No.7, Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" at No.8 and then at No.9 are Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson with "Symphony". Three weeks ago Niall Horan debuted at No.11 with his second chart entry "Slow Hands", which fell to No.17 last week, and now this week it rebounds back up seven places to land at a new peak of No.10, becoming the former 1D's second Top 10 single here after "This Town" debuted and peaked at No.5 in October of 2016, PLUS we also have Harry Styles within the Top 10, the first time that two of the members of One Direction have been in the ten at the same time, more feats/chart records from the band later in this article too.

* Charlie Puth lands his fifth Top 20 hit this week (from 5 entries) as his current entry "Attention" jumps up eleven places to land at a new peak of No.19, all his previous four entries cracked the Top 10 too.
* Scoring their fourth Top 20 entry is Selena Gomez who appears on the new Cheat Codes track "No Promises", which this week is up seven places to land at No.20, plus it also becomes the producer duo's second Top 20 entry, as their first chart entry "Sex" peaked at No.17.
* Jonas Blue is up ten places to No.29 with his now third Top 30 and fourth Top 40 hit "Mama" which features guest vocals by former The Collective singer William Singe, his second chart entry, as he previously did guest vocals on the Bella Ferraro track "Forget You" (HP-75, late Oct 2013).
* Katy Perry debuts at No.37 with her third entry from her forthcoming album "Witness" this week, and the albums second entry "Bon Appetit" is up one place to its original entry position of No.35 this week.
* Imagine Dragons grab their ninth Top 50 hit this week as their new track "Thunder" rolls up twenty places to a new peak of No.38.
* Harry Styles has two songs within the Top 40 this week, as his self-titled albums second release "Sweet Creature" is up three places to a new chart peak of No.39.
* Last year Logic was a part of the 'Suicide Squad' soundtrack song "Sucker for Pain', now this week he leads his enesmble including Alessia Cara and Khaled into the Top 50 for his second such appearance, as his latest track "1-800-273-2855" jumps up twenty-one spots to land at No.43 this week.
* With a now full weeks worth of sales, the Chris Cornell back catalogue has started to infiltrate the albums chart this week, but two of his bands biggest hits return to the singles chart this week, first of which is the fourth chart entry here and first Top 10 hit for Soundgarden in "Black Hole Sun" (HP-6, peaked late August 1994), which returns at No.49, and then his other major band in Audioslave and their first of three Top 40 hits "Like a Stone" (HP-35, peaked early May 2003) returns at No.74.
* There are two more tracks returning to the Top 100 this week, next is Hailee Steinfeld and "Most Girls" re-entering at a new peak of No.60, and then Cashmere Cat with Ariana Grande and "Quit" is back in at No.82.
* Lord Huron is back up ten places to No.84 with their first entry "The Night We Met", and also rising back up is Drake with "One Dance", up eleven to No.88.

* The only song leaving the Top 10 this week does-so after having debuted within the ten thirteen weeks ago, "Something Just Like This" (HP-2x3, WI10-12) by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay, which is down two spots to No.12.
* After peaking at No.12 last week, the Dean Lewis track "Waves" retreats four places to No.16.
* Ed Sheeran's "Castle on the Hill" leaves the Top 20 for the first time in its twenty chart weeks, down four to No.22.
* Also leaving the twenty for the first time after eleven weeks within, is the Lorde single "Green Light", which reduces eight chart places to land at No.24.
* Calvin Harris sees his three chart entries all move down this week, the first is "Slide", down seven to No.28, followed by last weeks new entry in "Rollin'" which is also down seven places, to No.47, and his third drop is for "Heatstroke", which whilts nineteen spots to No.65, but is now certified Gold (●) in sales.
* After three weeks at a peak of No.25 the Biss N' Eso track "Moments" is down five to No.30.
* Martin Garrix just released a new track with Troye Sivan on Friday (26th May), and his latest chart entry with Dua Lipa and "Scared to Be Lonely" is down seven spots this week to No.31.
* FF8 lead single "Good Life" for G-Eazy and Kehlani is down three to No.32 and now Gold (●).
* Dropping seven spots to No.33 are Jax Jones and Raye with "You Don't Know Me".
* Kaleo drop back down seven places to No.40 with the 'Logan' track "Way Down We Go", and not only is their album up to a new peak this week, this track is newly Gold (●) in sales.
* Also dropping and scoring a Gold (●) certification is Kyle and his first entry "iSpy", which is down six to No.41.
* Two of the four Kendrick Lamar tracks drop this week, with "DNA" down eight to No.42 and then "Loyalty" reduces nineteen chart rungs to No.75, whilst "Humble" and "Love" stay stable at No.7 and No.50 respectively.
* After scoring a new peak at No.37 last week, the Post Malonen track "Congratulations" drops back down this week seven spots to No.44.
* Martin Jensen leaves the Top 50 with his "Solo Dance", down eight to No.51.
* The Chainsmokers also leave the fifty with "Paris", which is down thirteen places to No.54.
* James Arthur drops eleven spots to No.59 with "Say You Won't Let Go".
* Both Amy Shark entries tumble this week, with "Adore" down fourteen to No.66 and her second track "Weekends" falling thirteen places to No.78.
* Ed Sheeran still has the Longest Charted track in ARIA history this week, as "Thinking Out Loud" drops six to No.80 in its 128th week within the Top 100.
* Maroon 5 are at #100 on the Albums chart, and now No.99 on the singles chart with "Cold", which plummets dramatically forty-five places this week.

* #11 - Strip That Down by Liam Payne feat Quavo is the debut single for the final member of One Direction to hit the charts, plus we also have Harry and Niall within the Top 10 this week, and Zayn is down at No.52 (Still Got Time) and No.62 (with Taylor Swift duet), giving us six songs from the bands former members within the Top 100 this week, a new record and an equal record at the same time for the Australian charts. Firstly the new record is 'Most Songs from one group's members within the Top 100', beating the previous record held by The Beatles who did it twice with one song apiece in early 1971 and again in late 1974, so that's the other record they beat too, The Beatles' members only had one song apiece within the Top 100 (and for two {1971} and one week {1974} at that time), now the boys from 1D have six songs in total within the hundred this week alone. I also checked other acts with multiple charting members like Take That (two at one time), Spice Girls (two separate occassions where three members were on the chart at the same time), New Edition (3 members), and both members of Wham! (1990) and Simon & Garfunkel (1973 & 1975) have done it, whilst members of Eurythmics and The Fugees did not ({if anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know}.

* #13 - Bad Liar by Selena Gomez is the second Top 20 entry this week for the US pop singer, as her teaming with Kygo and "It Ain't Me" (HP-4) is down four to No.17 this week, and overall this becomes her seventeenth Top 100 entry and by debuting so high it becomes her highest (solo) chart entry, as her Kygo teaming debuted at No.9 back in late February, and this is her fifth Top 20 hit too.

* #37 - Swish Swish by Katy Perry feat Nicki Minaj is the third single to be issued from her "Witness" album due in a couple of weeks, following on from "Bon Appetit" (TW/HP-35) and "Chained to the Rhythm" (HP-4, TW-70), this new one becoming her 24th Top 100 entry.

* #45 - Crying in the Club by Camila Cabello is the first solo single and third chart entry for the former Fifth Harmony member, who previously cracked the Top 50 on duets "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (HP-33) with Shawn Mendes and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly (HP-22), and she did her first performance of this song at the 'Billboard Music Awards' this past week, and this track is taken from her September due debut album "The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving'.

* #68 - Tired by Alan Walker feat Gavin James is the second entry for the Norwegian producer and DJ, following on from last years "Faded" (HP-2x5, peaked March-April 2016), and the first entry for the Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James.

* #72 - The Way I Are (Dance with Somebody) by Bebe Rexha feat Lil' Wayne is the ninth chart entry for Bebe and the first from her forthcoming album "All Your Fault: Pt.2" (no date known).

Ed Sheeran's third album "÷ (Divide)" returns to the top of the ARIA Albums chart this week for a tenth overall week at the top here, and is now 4x▲Platinum in sales too.

"÷ (Divide)" also builds Ed's tally on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1; Albums; 2010's' to now nineteen overall weeks at the chart-summit for this decade, and by cracking the ten week mark it joins seven previous albums that have achieved that long at the top here, Elton John's "Caribour" (1974), Rod Stewart's "A Night on the Town" (1976), Split Enz at this time in 1980 with "True Colours", John Lennon's last album "Double Fantasy" (late 1980/early 1981), the 1992 Australian Cast Recording for 'Jesus Chris Superstar', Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" (1996) and also that year the Crowded House collection "Recurring Dream-The Very Best of". It also becomes one of only five other albums to crack the double-digit mark at the top here for this decade, the others being for Pink (twice), Adele, and Michael Buble.

So last weeks debut at the top for Harry Styles and his self-titled solo album is down one spot to No.2 this week, whilst the highest new entry for this week is the seventh studio album for Linkin Park entitled "One More Light". It also becomes the bands seventh Top 3 album, with all of their studio albums cracking the Top 3 or higher and overall this is their ninth Top 10 album (seven studios and one remix and one collaboration), plus this is the bands first new album in just under three years (mid-June 2014 was the last one 'The Hunting Party' (HP-3)).

The next three albums are all stable this week, with the 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2' soundtrack at No.4, followed by Kendrick Lamar and "Damn." and "x (Multiply)" for Ed Sheeran at No.5 and No.6 respectively, with Ed's album now notching up its 100th week inside the Top 10 too. And whilst the singles chart saw two returning tracks for the recently deceased Chris Cornell, the albums chart is a much different field, where thirteen albums of his music are within the Top 100 this week alone, from solo, Audioslave, soundtrack work and Soundgarden; whose "Superunknown" album returned at No.78 last week, and this week blasts up seventy-one spots to land at No.7, its first time back within the Top 10 since September of 1994.

One of Chris's many side projects was the band Audioslave, whose first self-titled album returns to the chart at its original debut and peak position of No.8 (25-Nov, 2002) this week, plus the album since last charting has now been re-certified 3x▲Platinum in sales. The Australian duo The Pierce Brothers see their second EP "The Records Were Ours" debuts at No.9 this week, becoming the groups second Top 10 album, as their 2015 entry "Into the Dirt" debuted and peaked at No.10 in early October. The July 2016 album for Blink 182 in "California" (HP-2), returns to the chart at No.10 this week due to it being re-issued as a 2CD bonus edition, the extra CD containing twelve extra tracks.

Will we see five ex-1D members within the Top 50 this week???

In the past (from memory) several bands have given all members a hit, some at the same time, others staggered so as not to intrude on the others' hit.

All four Beatles hit the charts, John, Paul, George & Ringo.

As too all five members of the Spice Girls, whilst only four of the five Take That members have charted away from the band.

George and Andrew from Wham! had hits, but not at the same time too, so can you name any other acts who I should research for this week where all members (or most of them) have charted at the same time (apart from the four I have already mentioned).

Regards, bulion.
Well buls, with Wham! being a duo instead of a band/group, so I'd say there'd be more of them whose members both had solo hits. I'll put my thinking cap on...
With a single minute's thought I can already give you Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart from Eurythmics.
Kiss as far as albums as concerned, which would be a much harder feat!
New Edition might come close in around 1990 (Bell Biv DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Bobby Brown all charted that year)? Another potential one could be the Fugees in 1998...

I did make a clip quiz around the idea of various members in a group having hits, but there aren't that many I could find with memorable songs from three or more members, let alone simultaneously charting hits from them...

Simon & Garfunkel (Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel)
New Edition can be included if the Bell Biv DeVoe trio counts as a solo project. lol. Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and later member Johnny Gill all had hits outside of New Edition.
Swedish House Mafia (Steve Angello, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso)
Angus & Julia Stone (uh... Angus Stone, Julia Stone) - that's if Julia Stone's guest vocals on a Jarryd James hit counts.
Is there a Louis Tomlinson song I'm unaware of; I'm only expecting four of the 1D members to be in the chart this week.
Outkast (Andre 3000, Big Boi) - both have only been guest vocalists on other artists' hits though.
ZAYN probably won't be in the top 50 this week either for what it's worth.
I wasn't sure whether Zayn would last this week or not, though he should still be top 100 which I think Louis isn't now?
Here's another 'dodgy-ish' one: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin went on to form a duo called Page & Plant. They both had solo hits. Plant's were all before the duo was formed and Page's only one was for re-recording his guitar work from an old Led Zeppelin song on a Puff Daddy hit. lol
Indeed, I was just under the impression that this discussion was relating to top 50 hits.
Results from your (and my) above nominations

Wham! - 4 weeks overlap in Aug-Sept 1990

Simon & Garfunkel - both charted together twice in October 1973 and again in October 1975.

Eurythmics - Annie first charted solo in 1988, Dave in 1990, then Annie's breakout 'Diva' album was released in 1992, so NO overlap.

Fugees - only two of the three members charted together at one time, not all three unfortunatetly (blame not enough Wyclef songs charting here).

New Edition - Three of the members charted at once, Bobby, Johnny & BBD in Aug-Sept of 1990.

Spice Girls - Three of the five at once in June-2001, Mel C, Emma & Geri for two weeks.

Take That - Gary & Robbie famoulsy debuted in the same week in mid-August of 1996 with their solo singles, but that's all for the group, as the Mark Owen singles charted between the groups first two solo entries.

Beatles - TWICE all four members charted at once, first time was in May 1971 when John had "Mother", George charted with "What is Life", Paul's first solo entry with "Another Day" and Ringo's "It Don't Come Easy", which all charted together for a single week on 17th May, 1971. They did it agin for longer next time, two weeks in late January of 1975, John'w "Whatever Get You Thru the Night", Paul's "Junior's Farm/Sally G" with Wings, Ringo's "Only You" and George with "Ding Dong".
No Outkast crossovers, Angus & Julia Stones or Swedish House Mafia.

Sorry BZ, I keep thinking the Louis thing is still up high, but its around #230 at the moment.
I think my hangover missed the part where you said "charted at the same time" lol
50HOLD50629Kendrick Lamar - LOVE.

Ed is back on the top of the album charts.

The top 5 this week is:

1. Divide - Ed Sheeran
2. Harry Styles - Harry Styles
3. One More Light - Linkin Park
4. Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix 2 - Various Artists
5. Damn - Kendrick Lamar

BTW two albums featuring the late Chris Cornell Superunknown by Soundgarden and Audioslave are at 7 and 8 respectively.

The top albums by category are:

Australian: The records were ours - Pierce Brothers (debut)
Urban - Damn
Country: Back to us - Rascal Flatts (Debut)
Compilation: So Fresh: the Hits of Autumn 2017
Catalogue: X - Ed Sheeran
Jazz and Blues: Turn up the Quiet - Diana Krall
Classical: Songs without words - Grigoryan Brothers
DVD - Live at the Royal Albert Hall - Adele
Classical crossover: A tribute to Mario Lanza - Mark Vincent
Digital: Divide
One I thought of with 2/3 members, if you stretch the rules to include writing credits: Eminem's "Headlights", featuring Nate Ruess of fun., hit #21 in March 2014 while Sara Bareilles' "Brave", co-written by fellow fun. member Jack Antonoff, was in the top 10. Jack Antonoff is also relevant to this discussion for having co-written ZAYN & Taylor Swift's "I Don't Wanna Live Forever"; can we temporarily replace Louis with him?

Another with a stretch: before forming Young Divas together, Ricki-Lee, Kate DeAraugo and Paulini were all in the top 26 in January 2006. I don't think Emily Williams ever charted with anything, but she and Kate did both appear on the 2005 Australian Idol - The Final 13 album, which debuted while Ricki-Lee's album was also charting at #75. No Paulini to be found there, unfortunately.

Also possibly of interest is that the week The Black Eyed Peas' "Meet Me Halfway" debuted, so did David Guetta's "On The Dancefloor", featuring 2 BEP members: will.i.am and apl.de.ap. I doubt that's happened many times.

(As for the chart I'm interrupting, WD Quavo on 4 songs in the top 50 *.*)

Edit: correction, 5!

I've added this week's ARIA Top 100 Singles chart entries to my site.

Hear them all here - http://top100singles.blogspot.com/2016/12/every-aria-top-100-single-in-2017.html

(Done with a minute to spare before the footy starts)
I rushed the site update for nothing because I actually had half an hour to spare. I forgoat that the Dorkers were playing in Adelaide, not Melbourne today (another hangover brain fart).
Yay for Demi getting another top 20! Pretty crappy top 10 though other than Kendrick and Clean Bandit.

Yess Swish Swish too, and Mama!
I'm finding the top ten fairly good at present, with Despacito, Ed, Ed, Harry and Niall all in there, and there's currently nothing there I actively hate.
Now that one of the worst top 10 hits in the last six months has left the top 10, I'm quite liking the top 10. Probably the best top 10 of 2017 so far
Impressive to see X clock 100 weeks in the Top 10
I want Attention to rise so bad
chartifacts updated.
A roughie in band members charting is Genesis.

Three solo members of Genesis had chart hits during the 1980s plus the band itself. The members were Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel and Mike and the Mechanics.
Another suggestion is the Faces with Rod Stewart and Ron Wood ( who joined the Rolling Stones). It is quite likely that Rod Stewart and the Rolling Stones appeared in the charts at the same time in the late 1970s and early 80s.

When was the last time only TWO Aussies acts were in the Top 50?
info updated, any ideas on my above question?
I'm surprised Starley isn't in the Top 100 anymore even though Call On Me has been lingering inside the Spotify Top 50 for the past two weeks.
It's definitely a mistake. I think the song got re-tagged on Spotify and they lost track of it, even though it should be around #50ish this week. The omissions are piling up at the moment, Pretty Girl, XO TOUR Llif3, Unforgettable, Location and maybe Goosebumps should all be on the chart but aren't.
It probably hasn't happened in decades, buls. The opposite is happening for me recently - when I revise my 2016 EOY list in July, my Top 5 will have four Aussie singles.
I had a look at 2011 and found a very close call - on 2 separate occasions (3 and 17 October), Pete Murray's "Free" was the 3rd highest Australian song, and was #50. The songs ahead were "Somebody That I Used To Know" and "Inescapable". I didn't check many weeks so don't take that as a conclusive answer, but I am surprised it ever went that low; I expected the same as savage.

The current situation is even harsher considering that Dean Lewis seems to spend a lot of time in the UK and wrote "Waves" there with UK producers, and "Moments" relies on a chorus singer who's Irish.

Personally though, if an unremarkable (albeit pretty decent) singer-songwriter track and the least interesting AU hip hop single I've heard this year are the best the chart gatekeepers will accept, I don't mind leaving Australian music as a triple j exclusive
We just need Savage Garden to reform.

With the Genesis cross-charting, never all three at once, Phil, Peter, Mike & Mechanics or even Genesis as a group.

Jan 83 - Peter & Phil
Apr 84 - Phil & Genesis
June 86 - Mechanics, Peter & Genesis
Nov 86 - Peter & Genesis
Feb 87 - Peter & Genesis
Aug 87 - Peter & Genesis
Jan 89 - Phil & Mechanics
June 89 - Phil & Mechanics x 2
Sep 92 - Peter & Gensis

nothing matched for Rod Stewart, Faces or Rolling Stones either.
hope Rita can go straight into the top 20
