** The three coloured vinyl releases are in Oxblood (Red), Purple and Baby Pink.

It's now a thirteenth straight week at No.1 for "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee with guest vocalist Justin Bieber, becoming the second longest running No.1 this decade and this century.

"Despacito" might only be the fifth No.1 for 2017 (this time last year we were up to 13 #1's), and is only the second for the year in Germany, but the song has now logged enough weeks at the top to be the second longest running No.1 for this year (2017) and for the decade and century, surpassing the 12 weeks that "Happy" for Pharrell Williams achieved in 2014.

And for vocalist Justin Bieber it becomes his 28th accumulated week at No.1 (the most for this decade), which on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: 1940 to 2017', he is now equal 20th alongside Olivia Newton-John who has also amassed 28 weeks at the top from five No.1 singles (hers were between Oct 1971 and June 1991, so almost twenty years, whereas Bieber's have been from Sept 2015 to now). The other thing that the song does is move up the list for 'Most Weeks at No.1: Singles, 1940 to 2017' to be now equal thirteenth on the list, alongside "Hey Jude"/"Revolution" for The Beatles (1968), "Gangsta's Paradise" for Coolio (1995) and two songs from the 1940's "Don't Fence Me in" for Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters (1945) and "You'll Never Know" for Vera Lynn (1943).

There was a new Pink single released on Friday entitled "What About us", which could debut at No.1 next week, but the current No.1 selling digital track is sitting at No.2 nationally (both for a third week), "Thunder" for Imagine Dragons, whilst the new No.2 streamed track of the week (#9 digitally) is the new Macklemore song "Glorious", which is up two places to a new peak of No.3. Mack's climb pushes last weeks No.3 and No.4 tracks down a place, with the new UK No.1 single in "Feels" for Calvin Harris with Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Big Sean down a spot to No.4 and now certified ▲Platinum in sales, with Liam Payne and his "Strip That Down" single dips a place to No.5 and newly 2x▲Platinum in sales.

The third and final track on hold within the Top 10 this week is "Wild Thoughts" at No.6 for DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, whilst landing his first Top 10 entry (solo or guest vocalist) is French Montana who is up four places to a new peak of No.7 with "Unforgettable". Kesha just released her first album in almost four years on Friday entitled "Rainbow", and the first track from it in "Praying" is down a spot to No.8 and lands its first certification, achieving Gold (●) in sales. Moving up one place to a new peak of No.9 is Sam Hunt with the No.3 digital track this week "Body Like a Back Road" and down two places to No.10 is Niall Horan with "Slow Hands", which cracks the 2x▲Platinum sales mark this week.

* Maggie Lindemann climbs two places to a new peak of No.12 with her track "Pretty Girl".
* Could we see finally see three former 1D members in the Top 10 next week, or will Niall's hands be replaced by the now highest charted single for Louis Tomlinson in "Back to You", which this week rises seven places to a new peak of No.13.
* Hailee Steinfeld is on hold at No.18 for a second week with the second 'girl' track within the Top 20 this week in "Most Girls".
* Dua Lipa lands her fourth (from four entries) Top 20 single in Australia this week as "New Rules" climbs six places to a new peak of No.20.
* Also on hold this week are two Demi Lovato tracks in "Sorry, Not Sorry" at its peak of No.24 and her Cheat Codes appearance in "No Promises" (HP-17) at No.33.
* After debuting last week at No.53, the Willy William & J. Balvin track "Mi Gente" leaps up fifteen places to land within the Top 40 at No.38.
* A couple of weeks ago Khalid's track "Location" peaked at No.41, but this week it breaks through into the Top 40, climbing five spots to a new peak of No.39, whilst his appearance on the Logic track "1-800-273-8255" (HP-43) is on hold at No.83 and he also has the highest new entry this week.
* Last weeks highest entry was "I Like Me Better" for Lauv, which this week climbs five places to a new peak of No.45.
* Cracking the Top 50 for the first time in its six week Top 100 chart run are Axwell/\Ingrosso with "More Than You Know", up four to No.48.
* Rudimental and James Arthur are up two spots to a new peak of No.55 with "Sun Comes Up".
* Future is on hold at No.56 with his "Mask Off", which is now 2x▲Platinum in sales.
* After sneaking in at #100 last week, the Morgan Evans track "Kiss Somebody" flies up forty-one places to land at No.59 this week.
* Charli XCX's homage to "Boys" is up one place to a new peak of No.60 after debuting last week.
* That new Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna video clip for "Loyalty", which helped bring the track back into the Top 100 last week, helps it again by seeing the song climb fourteen places to No.65.
* A couple of weeks ago the MØ track "Nights with You" (HP-65) was set to drop out, but now a second week of rising sees it up nine to No.71.
* Sigala and Ella Eyre jump up eleven places to a new peak of No.81 with "Came Here for Love".
* Ed Sheeran again retains the 'Longest Charted Song' record as "Thinking Out Loud" is up five places to No.86 in its 138th week within the Top 100.
* Calvin Harris picks up a second certification this week, but this time it's down at the other end of the Top 100, as "Rollin'" with Future and Khalid is back up three to No.94 and now Gold (●) in sales.
* The only returning track this week also benefits from a long overdue video-clip, Lorde's "Perfect Places" (HP-44) returns at No.96.

* After six weeks within the Top 10 "Mama" (HP-7x2, WI10-6) for Jonas Blue and William Singe is down two places to No.11 this week.
* "Humble" for Kendrick Lamar is down four places to No.23, leaving the Top 20 for the first time in its nineteen weeks on the chart.
* The first major drop of the week occurs down at No.47, as the Ed Sheeran track "Galway Girl" falls eleven places to No.47, with Ed's other big drop being for "Happier" (77 to 89).
* Last weeks debut for Skrillex and Poo Bear in "Would You Ever" drops down eight to No.63.
* The track "Human" for Rag'N'Bone Man drops thirteen places to No.80 and after a single week back in, his "Skin" departs from No.86.
* Two more of last weeks debuts which drop this week are a twenty place slide for the new track by Snakehips entitled "Either Way" featuring Anne-Marie to No.84 and the second Macklemore song within the Top 100 this week "Marmalade", which is down eight spots to No.90.
* Three weeks ago there were sixteen tracks by Linkin Park in the Top 100, last week it fell to just three and this week there are two, with "In the End" down twenty-nine places to No.91 and "Numb" falls thirty spots to No.95.

* #57 - Young, Dumb and Broke by Khalid is the fourth Top 100 entry this week for the 19 year old US rapper born Khalid Robinson, with "Location" up to a new peak of No.39, plus he is on the current Logic (#83) and Calvin Harris' "Rollin'" (#94) tracks too, plus his debut album leaps into the Top 25 this week too for the first time here.

* #77 - OMG by Camila Cabello feat Quavo is the fifth chart entry overall and currently her third Top 100 entry, as her other solo hit at the moment is "Crying in the Club", which is down one to No.40 and her appearance on the Major Lazer song "Know No Better" (HP-34) is up one to No.37, that song also featuring Camila's new guest rapper on "OMG", Quavo; who this week has the four Top 100 appearances, he is also featured as a guest on tracks by Liam Payne (#5) and DJ Khaled (#19).

Ed Sheeran is now up to week NINETEEN at No.1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with his third album and third No.1 "÷ (Divide)".

The set "÷ (Divide)" is now the equal tenth longest running No.1 album in Australian Chart history, as at this time twenty years ago the self-titled debut album for Savage Garden had already racked up sixteen of its total of nineteen weeks at the top (final week was 12th of October, 1997), and the first 19 week-run at No.1 was for the Creedence Clearwater Revival set "Cosmo's Factory" (1970/1). The other thing that Ed Sheeran achieves this week is that he has racked up 28 overall weeks on the Australian Albums Chart, making him now outright 14th on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums; 1965-2017', surpassing the 27 weeks achieved by Skyhooks, with his next total to beat being Elton John and Michael Jacksons' totals of 30 weeks.

A slew of older albums push ALL but one of last weeks debuts (there were six in total) out of the Top 10 this week, with November tourist Lorde and her second album "Melodrama" jumping back up nine spots to No.2 after spending a single week outside of the Top 10 (T10 total now 7 weeks). Racking up a fourteenth week within the Top 10 is "DAMN." by Kendrick Lamar, also up nine places to land at No.3, whilst the 'Moana' soundtrack blasts back up twenty-two spots to No.4 and a 15th week within the ten. Three weeks ago the 'Baby Driver' soundtrack peaked at No.5, then last week it fell to No.10, now this week it rebounds back to its former peak of No.5.

Currently holding the No.2 single in the country for a third week are Imagine Dragons, whose third album "Evolve" jumps back up twelve places to land at No.6, and a fifth week inside the Top 10. Two more albums are on hold this week, with former No.1 "Lust for Life" by Lana Del Rey at No.7 and Linkin Park's "One More Light" at No.9, whilst last weeks highest entry (and the new US & Canadian No.1 album this week) "Everything Now" by Arcade Fire drops eight places to No.10. The only debut within the Top 10 this week comes in at No.8, and is the debut album for the Sydney based electro/hip-hop duo Boo Seeka, made up of Ben Gumbleton and Sam Croft, who won the Triple J Unearthed competition in 2015.

* Ed Sheeran's first two albums climb back up this week, with "x (Multiply)" leaping back up twelve spots to No.11 and his debut set "+ (Positive)" (#1 this week on 13th August, 2012) is back up six to No.25.
* Tyler, The Creator debuted in the Top 10 three weeks ago with "Flower Boy" at No.8, then fell to No.39 last week, but this week he rebounds twenty-seven spots to land at No.12.
* Two Adele albums rise back up this week, with "25" up ten to No.14 and "21" moving eight to No.60.
* Both 'Guardians of the Galaxy' soundtracks rise this week, with Volume 1 up fifteen to No.17 and Volume 2 rising thirteen to No.20, but expect Vol.2 to rise more next week as the DVD and BR of the second film is released on the 21st of August here.
* Calvin Harris' "Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1" is up six places to No.19.
* The self-titled Harry Styles album is back up thirteen spots to No.21 as a new single was just issued.
* Landing his first Top 25 appearance and its fourth week within the Top 50, the Khalid album "American Teen" this week blasts up thirty-four spots to a new peak of No.22.
* The Chainsmokers debut set "Memories... Do Not Open" is back up ten spots to No.28.
* Shawn Mendes' tour edition of "Illumination" was released at the end of August for his late November visit here, the set rising twelve to No.30 this week.
* Two Drake sets rise back up this week, with "More Life" rising eleven to No.39 and his "Views" up ten places to No.85.
* Cracking the Top 50 for the first time in its 13 weeks chart run is "Stoney" for Post Malone, up ten places to a new peak of No.49.
* Best of collections for acts that rise this week are by Queen (61 to 50), INXS (60 to 53), The Wiggles (62 to 58) and Red Hot Chili Peppers (84 to 80).
* The soundtrack for "Beauty and the Beast" is back up thirty-three spots to No.56.
* The new Top 20 single for Dua Lipa helps her self-titled album to rise eight places to No.74.
* The 1992 "Live" album for AC/DC is back up eleven places this week to No.81.
* The Guns N' Roses "Appetite for Destruction" set jumps back up sixteen spots to No.84.
* The only returning album this week occurs at #100, "Anti" for Rihanna.

* All five albums leaving the Top 10 this week debuted within it last week, first up is Dan Sultan with "Killer" (HP-5), down eight to No.13, followed by The Voice winner Judah Kelly and "Count on Me" (HP-3), down fifteen spots to No.18, after which the drops get worse and similar; "Paranormal" (HP-4) by Alice Cooper, "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" for Passenger and the compilation "Beautiful-A Tribute to Carole King" all descend twenty-three spots each to No.27, No.29 and No.31 respectively.
* Vera Blue drops seven places to No.24 with her "Perennial" set.

This week sees Ed Sheeran at #1 on the album charts plus 4 chartbusters felling out the top 5. Another chartbuster is at #6.

Without further ado, the top 6 are:

1. Divide - Ed Sheeran
2. Melodrama - Lorde
3. Damn - Kendrick Lamar
4. Moana - Soundtrack
5. Baby Driver - soundtrack

The top album by categories are:
Australian: Never too soon
Urban: Damn
Country: Count on me - Judah Kelly
Compilation: So Fresh the Hits of Winter 2017
Catalogue: X - Ed Sheeran
Jazz and Blues: Together - Michael Ball and Alfie Boe
Core Classical: Mountain - Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra
DVD: Black and White Night 30 - Roy Orbison
Classical Crossover: Wish you were here - Pink Floyd
Digital - Divide
6. Evolve - Imagine Dragon.

Never too soon by Boo Seeka is the only debutant album.

It is probably not a view universally shared on this forum but I think that the inclusion of streaming data has really improved the ARIA album charts.

Glen Campbell has three best of collections within the Top 100 albums this week, the lower two are at #52 and #86.

Despacito still looks as if it could break or tie the all time record for time at #1.

The top songs by category are:

Dance: Feels - Calvin Harris

Glen Campbell's Greatest Hits is number 41 on the album chart but debuted at number 2 on the digital albums chart,
Glad that Despacito spent a 13th week at the top and held off Thunder.

Albums sales will be fun to look. How many of them have done 4 figures lol?

Don't know where to put it but it looks like we're not going to have an Australian #1 this year. Is this the first time that this has happened?
It most recently happened in 1998 and 1999. Between Truly, Madly, Deeply and Mascara there were no Australian #1s.
Since the beginning of the '60s, 1996, 1993, 1989, 1978 and 1964 also had no Australian #1s. An interesting thing I found while looking for this is that the longest consecutive run of Australian #1s is in 1991 when it went Tingles EP -> The Horses -> Don't Go Now -> Grease Megamix -> Read My Lips.
Well, I wouldn't call the Grease Megamix an Australian single on account of Oblivious Neutron-Bomb. Both John Travolta and the movie it's from are American.
