Ed Sheeran's domination of the singles chart with his track "Perfect" continues as his multi-duet is at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart for a fifth consecutive week.

"Perfect" helps Ed to climb to an overall time at No.1 in Australia to 26 weeks (from four #1's) moving him up to equal 22nd on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: 1940 to 2018' alongside two 1940's acts in bandleader Sammy Kaye (8 #1's) and minstrel Al Jolson (2 #1's). His next target is the 28 weeks racked up by Justin Bieber, who has had the most weeks at the top during this decade so far, but with a new Justin Timberlake single out on Friday it could take out the top spot next week. The track "Perfect" now becomes Ed's equal second longest running No.1 song here, matching the five weeks achieved by "Thinking Out Loud" (from 20th Oct, 2014), and whilst it is the No.1 streamed song in the country, it's three versions on the digital chart are sitting at No.3 (Beyonce duet), No.10 (solo version) and No.31 (Andrea Bocelli duet falling from 18 to #31).

Camila Cabello is again the No.1 selling digital track with "Havana", which is at No.2 nationally, whilst also on hold at No.3 for a second week is Eminem and Ed Sheeran with "The River". Last week "I Fall Apart" by Post Malone fell down a spot to No.5, now it's back up one place to No.4, whilst his former No.1 "Rockstar" drops down two places to No.6. Reclaiming its former peak of No.5 is the Marshmello and Khalid track "Silence" (up two places), whilst Marsh's second Top 10 entry on the Selena Gomez track "Wolves" rises one place to No.9. Also back up one place each are Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line with "Meant to Be" and NF with "Let You Down" to No.7 and No.8 respectively. Returning to the Top 10, back up three places to No.10 is Portugal. The Man with "Feel it Still" for an eighth non-consecutive week within the Top 10.

UP:
* Maroon 5 with SZA are back up three places to No.11 with "What Lovers Do", whilst SZA's two other chart entries also climb this week in her appearance on the Lorde track "Homemade Dynamite" up four to No.32 and her solo entry "The Weekend" jumping up twenty places to a new peak of No.53.
* Pnau could be headed for their second Top 10 single here, as their new track "Go Bang" is up six places to a new peak of No.13, whilst their first Top 10 entry "Chameleon" rises back up eighteen spots to No.81.
* G-Eazy sees both of his Top 100 entries climb this week, with "Him & I" with Halsey up a single place to a new chart height of No.16 and the first new Gold (●) certification for 2018, whilst G's "No Limit" jumps up thirteen places to a new peak of No.56, whilst Halsey climbs back up on The Chainsmokers track "Closer" (86 to 76), whilst the 'smokers duet with Coldplay in "Something Just Like This" is back up nine to No.51.
* David Guetta and Afrojack with Charli XCX and French Montana climb into the Top 20, up four places to a new peak of No.18.

For the second year in a row, the big box-office hit has landed a Soundtrack at the top of the ARIA Album Charts, as this week "The Greatest Showman" leaps up seven spots to land the fiftieth soundtrack at No.1 in Australia.

After returning to No.1 last week for a 22nd week at the top, Ed Sheeran's "÷ (Divide)" is back down a single place to No.2, which in turn pushes down the Pink album "Beautiful Trauma" and "Revival" by Eminem to No.3 and No.4 respectively. On hold at No.5 is the returning US No.1 album by Taylor Swift in her "Reputation" set, whilst Sam Smith survives another week within the ten as his set "The Thrill of it All" is down one spot to No.8.

Did I just beat the record for worst preds of all time?
Feel like we've had this one before but I dunno

when we did album chart preds we had tied 0's frequently
The Very Best Of Cat Stevens charting at #93 seems to be the 1990 set, given it's probably the one sitting at #16 on the Digital Albums Chart and given it's the 1990 set that was charting at more or less the same spot on iTunes in the past week.
I.E. the reason I wrote about Cat Stevens in the New Entries LP section is that ARIA has it as a new entry, as the catalogue numbers are different. I know like The Wiggly, Wiggly Christmas (which was a new same titled album at the start until they fixed it) and Pentatonix Xmas albums that they are NOT new entries, but ARIA seems to slip up on noticing past entries and so for now I just treat them as new and then inform them of their mistakes.
An article I wrote about the new #1 album in the country:
http://www.monashhq.com.au/hugh-jackman-1-album-oz/
Hopefully Universal do a massive certs update like last year. Despacito, Humble, Thunder, I Don't Wanna Live Forever, Starboy, There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back, Body Like a Back Road, Rockstar, Chameleon, What Lovers Do, Green Light and Sorry Not Sorry all need new certs. Warner also need to update certs for Castle on the Hill, New Rules, Glorious and Feel It Still
Shape of You has overtaken Party Rock Anthem on the BOAT list
