There's nowhere else i can really post this but the chart on this site for 5th may 2002 is not correct. Looking at the aria report on pandora and looking at the version posted here 'Something' by lasgo is missing at #29 (up from 37 the previous week) and in the following weeks chart is listed as a re-entry. As a result all the songs from westlife downward should be pushed back a place with puretone's 'addicted to bass' not being in the top 50 at all.
One minor thing I noticed yesterday is that Divinyls' "The Collection" is shown charting in 1991-92, but it wasn't released until 1993. That chart run should actually be for their "Essential" compilation (listed as "The Essential Divinyls Collection" in the spreadsheet I have, so I can see where the error came about).
That is correct re: Divinyls, 392414. I had to make note of that when updating the chart references on the Divinyls Discography wikipedia page.
Another error involving Divinyls - 'I Touch Myself' debuted in the top 50 at #45 on the week that Traveling Wilburys' 'She's My Baby' (which peaked at #58) is listed in its place - though I'm pretty sure I mentioned that in the other thread.
Kylie's 'Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi' chart run is also split in two, with the 1988 part listed as 'I Still Love You (Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi)' as though it was a separate release, and the 1989 part listed as 'Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi', debuting in January 1989.
Then there's the weeks in tally error that doesn't take into account the one or two-week Christmas break on the chart every year prior to 1997.
May or may not be a mistake and even if so it won't be corrected, but the albums chart w/c 18th september lists james taylor's album at #49 as being 'classic songs' whereas i have the top 150 albums for that week and that lists it as 'taylor made - greatest hits' . I'm going with the information i have though i could be wrong
^ Which year is that? The ARIA database has a lot of errors on it, due to the way titles are assigned a code. If it's from 1990 or later, I can check with the ARIA Report (which has fewer errors).
I thank you for uploading it as i should probably thank you for uploading this one https://imgur.com/7bAYMxa and the one i posted in the aria peaks outside the top 100 thread
I don't know if you'd call these errors but certainly unexplained. Motiv 8's 'Rockin' for myself' has two sources having it's debut at #41. The ARIA report from that week in 1994 and Rage followed suit listing it the same. However ARIA's database lists it debuting at #40. About half a dozen or a bit more positions on that chart are different from the original chart. Nugs asked for a chart history years ago for Motiv 8 and this is one instance where it's listed as debuting at #40
Also for the chart dated week commencing 1st april 1996 the positions of 'Aeroplane' and 'Bulls On Parade' are reversed with the former now reflected as peaking at #36 and the latter debuting at #35. I call these inconsistancies as it's difficult to determine which is the corrrect source. I can't see ARIA re-calculating the figures on both those charts though anything is possible
