The Post Malone and Swae Lee track from 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse' titled 'Sunflower" blooms at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart for a third consecutive week, the song also scores its first certification this week too, newly crowned ▲Platinum in sales.

"Sunflower" is also spending its second week at the top in New Zealand and is the new chart-topping song in both America and Canada this week. The last time a song started the new year off at the top here was back in 2014 when the Pharrell Williams song "Happy" spent the first five weeks at the top (it would go on to rack up twelve weeks at No.1 over three runs at the top), plus that song was also from an animated film too in 'Despicable Me 2'. On the list for this decade's most racked-up weeks at No.1 Post Malone now moves from equal 13th to now equal eleventh alongside Taylor Swift (4 #1's) and Justice Crew (2 #1's) who've both accumulated eleven weeks at the top during the 2010's, and if Post holds for another week he will be the only person with 12 weeks at No.1 (Adele is next with 13 weeks).

The current English (4th week) and Irish (5th week) No.1 song is again the song "Sweet but Psycho" for Ava Max which here is holding at its peak of No.2 for a third straight week, in fact eight of the Top 10 from last week are all stable this week, with Halsey and "Without Me" at No.3 (newly 3x▲Platinum in sales), "Wow" by Post Malone at No.4, the former No.1 for Ariana Grande and "thank u, next" is non-moved at No.5, but the song does rise from Gold sales status to a new certification of 2x▲Platinum in sales.

George Ezra keeps his eye on the target of No.6 again with his track "Shotgun", followed by the only two changes to the Top 10 this week, the Benny Blanco with Halsey and Khalid song "Eastside" is back up one spot to No.7, the track also rises from 3xP to now 5x▲Platinum, plus the song has logged its 23rd week within the Top 10, becoming the equal third longest running Top 10 in Australia, tying with the 23 weeks racked up by "Closer" for The Chainsmokers in 2016/17 (the longest running T10 track is mentioned below in the DOWN section). The song it swaps with is "Shallow" for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, which is down one spot to No.8 and is now her third longest running Top 10 in Australia at 13 weeks, sitting behind "Bad Romance" and "Just Dance" (both 14 weeks) and her longest stint in the Top 10 was with "Poker Face" (15 weeks).

Last week the Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus collaboration "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" achieved Gold in sales, and now this week it is newly certified ▲Platinum in sales and is stable at No.9, while the eighth and final on-hold track for this week at No.10 (for a third week too) is "Sicko Mode" for Travis Scott and Drake, which is now certified 3x▲Platinum in sales.

UP:

Queen retain their lead on the ARIA Albums Chart for a third straight week with the biopic soundtrack 'Bohemian Rhapsody', the set also newly certified ▲Platinum in sales too.

The soundtrack for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' now becomes the longest running of the two No.1 albums for Queen, as their 1976 third album "A Night at the Opera" spent two week at the summit from mid-March, and thus they have now accumulated five weeks at the top in Australia, moving them up on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums (1965 to 2019)' from equal 133rd to now equal 114th alongside other acts who have racked up five weeks at the top like Cold Chisel (from 4 albums), Nirvana, The Black Eyed Peas, Anthony Callea (all from 3 #1's), Michael Bolton, Def Leppard, Diesel, Green Day, il Divo, Shannon Noll, Jack Johnson and Cliff Richard (all with two #1 albums).

Holding onto it's No.2 position again for a third week is the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper soundtrack for 'A Star is Born', which has to wait until March to find out if it has any Oscar nominations, but for now it is also at the top in New Zealand (13th week) and Canada (8th week). The other Top 5 soundtrack again this week is the current UK No.1 album (27th week) in 'The Greatest Showman', which is down one spot to No.4, while the covers album in "The Greatest Showman: Reimagined" drops down two places to No.8.

Let Bene chart, you monsters.
Great to see all those new certs although very disappointed at how high Eastside and Shotgun are
I'm so sick of ARIA not allowing songs to chart. It is absolutely bewildering. 'Soaked' is just the tip of the iceberg
Yeah there's like 7 songs missing this week.
I'm unsure if anyone has asked for this before but does any one have access to the ARIA Streaming Tracks Weekly Chart. Clearly they do one as they released a Top 100 for 2018 which included Tyga "Taste" and XXXTentacion "Moonlight". I agree there looks to be again missing tracks this week **sigh**
I know I've already said that in the past but is it really ARIA's fault?

In the digital era, it was up to record companies to allow songs to chart, so it would be logical if it was the same in streaming.
Will need to check ARIA's code of practice to see if there's a mention of it.
Regardless of who's responsible, it strikes me as a pointless relic of the past. Every other international chart I follow, if a song has done well enough to chart...it charts.

It's hard to really care about the ARIA Chart when you want to root for a song to do well...and it does, but it doesn't appear on the ARIA Chart because someone on the chain is incompetent.
There's a thread called Denied Charting that is someone on this site.
Maybe you can list weekly the songs you believe should be included.
What are these songs?
Also what is with this actual site?

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find an access point via google on my laptop or mobile or work computer.
Selecting threads I often get can’t reach this page.
If you type things in google that should bring up the site they don’t anynore..
After checking the ARIA code of practice, it's up to the record supplier to make a written survey to ARIA.

I agree with you hijinx though. As long as a title performs well enough to chart, it should be on the chart.
I agree with Innocent_Eyes and Hijinx to an extent. There are two songs mentioned a few comments above however that I don't care for at all, and am absolutely fine with not seeing them chart

Surprised to see Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' without an accreditation by now. After all this is its third chart run in 43 years.

Not to mention Shawn Mendes' 'Illuminate' album (unless I've missed something), been out for the best part of 2 years now and still nothing.
There are quite a few under-certified singles and albums i' the charts at the moment.

Bohemian Rhapsody should be 6/7x Platinum and Illuminate Gold, perhaps even Platinum with streaming.
Bohemian Rhapsody could easily be certified more than <Px7>, I reckon. Could possibly be eligible for a 10xPlatinum certification methinks. Maybe their label is just incompetent
