Billie Eilish maintains her No.1 throne at the top of both ARIA Charts this week, with her single "Bad Guy" holding for a second week, while it also takes out the top spot in Canada (1st week).

17 out of the 27 female artists who have held the top of both charts have done so for more than one week (this total does not include male-female duets, multiple female collaborations or duo's who hit the top of both charts), with the prior three being Ariana Grande (2 weeks from 18th of Feb, 2019), Adele (2 weeks from 30th of Nov, 2015) and Ellie Goulding (3 weeks from 23rd of Feb, 2015). And last weeks six Top 10 entries for Billie Eilish is now reduced by half this week as she manages to hold three songs within the ten, apart from "Bad Guy" there is also "Buy a Friend" (from 3 dropping to 8) and "Wish You Were Gay" (from 5 down to 9).

This time last year we were about to finish with our second No.1 for the year of 2018, as a series of single week No.1's occurred in late April for Drake (knocking himself off the top) then Ariana Grande, Post Malone, a returning Drake and then Childish Gambino (up to May 21st), and now this year we have NOT had a single track staying only one week at the top, but five songs with multiple weeks at No.1.

There could be a new No.1 next week as stampeding his way up to No.2, hurdling sixteen spots, is "Old Town Road (I Got Horses in the Back)" for Lil' Nas X which is helped up the charts by former No.1 holder Billy Ray Cyrus appearing on a new remix of the track. This newer version helps the song to jump to the top in America (15 to 1), New Zealand (10 to 1), Ireland (also 15 to 1) and it jumped in the U.K. from 39 to No.2, plus is the new No.1 streamed song in this country (17 to 1) and has it's solo and Billy Ray remixed version at No.25 and No.14 respectively on the digital singles chart.

Six weeks ago The Jonas Brothers returned to the chart with their song "Sucker", which is down one place to No.3, plus they also have a new song entering the lower fifty this week too. Post Malone will be touring here in a couple of weeks, and he maintains two songs within the Top 10 again this week with "Wow." stable at No.4 and former No.1 "Sunflower" with Swae Lee, drops down one spot to No.7 in its 24th week within the Top 10 making it now the equal second longest running Top 10 ever in Australia, and next week if it stays within the Top 10 it will tie with Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" at 25 weeks (2017-18) and with his tour here starting April 26th in Perth, it could be within the Top 10 for a further three or four weeks taking his song up to either 29 or 30 weeks potentially.

Khalid debuts at No.2 with his second album "Free Spirit" this week, which helps the albums first five issued tracks to climb back up, with recent Top 10 entry "Talk" jumping back up six places to land at a new place of No.5 and its seventh overall week within the ten. With three Billie Eilish tracks leaving the Top 10 this week there's a rebound of three spots for the Dominic Fike track "3 Nights", back up to No.6, while the third and final Top 10 entry this week is now the fifth of six entries to make it to the Top 10 here for mystery DJ and producer Marshmello who has teamed with CHVRCHES for the song "Here With Me", which now becomes the first Top 10 entry for the group also.

UP:
* The Sam Smith and Normani duet "Dancing with a Stranger" rises back up two spots to No.12 and is the first of two new certifications, now 2x▲Platinum in sales.
* The Khalid rise continues with "My Bad" (30 to a new peak of No.14), "Better" (HP-6, 40 to 17), on the Benny Blanco track "Eastside" (31 to 30), "Saturday Nights" (HP-27, 65 to 41), his duet with Billie Eilish and "Lovely" (56 to 45) and last weeks entry from the new album "Self" (93 to 92).
* Lewis Capaldi jumps up seven spots to a new peak of No.19 with "Someone You Loved", which is holding for a seventh week at the top in England (it lost it's Irish summit hold to Lil' Nas X).
* Last week after only a few days on sale the Ariana Grande and Victoria Monét track "Monopoly" snuck into the chart at No.89, and now with a full weeks worth of sales it bullets up this week sixty-eights spots to a new peak of No.21.
* Ava Max is back-to-back with herself this week, as her debut entry "Sweet But Psycho" rises one spot to No.26 and her newer entry "So Am I" jumps up six spots to a new peak of No.27.
* Neneh Cherry's daughter Mabel and her first entry "Don't Call Me Up" jumps ten places to a new peak of No.28.
* Hilltop Hoods' newer entry "Exit Sign" veers up nine places to a new chart height of No.34.
* After sliding down last week the second entry for A Boogie wit da Hoodie and "Swervin" is back up eight places to its former peak of No.44.
* Alec Benjamin rises three spots to a new peak of No.57 with "Let Me Down Slowly".
* After two weeks at No.70 the Amy Shark track "Mess Her Up" rises ten places to a new peak of No.60.
* Local artist Tones and I is up nine spots this week to No.64 with her first entry "Johnny Run Away".
* On hold at No.86 in it's 118th week on the chart is the 'Longest Charted Single' in "Shape of You" for Ed Sheeran.

DOWN:
* ALL three songs leaving the Top 10 this week are Billie Eilish tracks, two of which debuted within the ten last week, but first is her former No.10 song which rebounded to a new peak of No.7 last week in "When the Party's Over" (HP-7, WI10-3a) down four spots to No.11, then dropping hard are "All the Good Girls Go to Hell" (HP-8, WI10-1) down seventeen spots to No.25 and more-so "Xanny" (HP-10, WI10-1) dropping twenty-eight places to land at No.18.
* Billie is also down with "My Strange Addiction" (12 to 33), "You Should See Me in a Crown" (16 to 36), "I Love You" (20 to 55), "Ilomilo" (23 to 56), "Listen Before I Go" (29 to 66), "8" (35 to 76) and older tracks "Ocean Eyes" (78 to 81) and "Bellyache" (83 to 87) plus she also leaves the chart from No.54 with "Goodbye" (this weeks highest Top 100 drop out).
* Ariana's "7 Rings" holds at No.13 this week and she drops down with "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" (17 to 22) and her current albums title track "thank u, next" (46 to 52).
* The Halsey former No.2 single "Without Me" is down one spot to No.29 and newly certified 5x▲Platinum (and it sits one place above her appearance on the Benny Blanco track "Eastside" at No.30), plus her appearance on the Yungblud track "11 Minutes" falls down seven places to No.58.
* The Dean Lewis track "7 Minutes" falls six spots to No.31, while he also declines with "Be Alright" (34 to 37) and his newer track "Stay Awake" (44 to 48), both 7 and Stay got video releases on Friday too.
* Falling ten places to No.47 is the Calvin Harris and Rag'N'Bone track "Giant".
* Last weeks entry for YNW Melly and "Murder on My Mind" falls this week six places to No.63, while entries from last week leaving this week are "Hustle" for Pink (#69) and "Friends" for Flume (#72).
* The Cardi B and Bruno Mars collaboration "Please Me" drops down seven places to No.65.
* The newer entry for George Ezra and "Hold My Girl" falls ten spots this week to No.71.
* The other Benny Blanco entry with Selena Gomez and J. Balvin in "I Can't Get Enough" is down eight spots to No.79.
* Juice WRLD drops to only two songs within the Top 100 this week with "Robbery" (81 to 88) and "Lucid Dreams (97 to 100) and leaves after two weeks of charting with "Fast" (#87).
* Lady Gaga's "Always Remember us This Way" drops eleven spots to No.91.
* With one track rising for A Boogie wit da Hoodie, his older entry falls in "Look Back at it" (88 to 98).

NEW ENTRIES:
* #18 - Kill This Love by Blackpink is the title track from the second just issued EP by the four-piece all-girl group from Korea who have previously charted once here, as guest artists on the Dua Lipa track "Kiss and Make Up" (HP-33, Nov 2018), so by debuting at No.18 this week this song becomes their second Top 50 entry and now highest charted single here.

* #20 - Outta My Head by Khalid with John Mayer
* #61 - Don't Pretend by Khalid feat. SAFE
* #80 - Bad Luck by Khalid
* #90 - Right Back by Khalid are all taken from the second album for the now 21 year old from Fort Stewart, Georgia, with nine of the 17 tracks from his new set within the Top 100 this week, as these four new entries join already charting titles "Talk" (TW-5), "My Bad" (TW-14), "Better" (TW-17), "Saturday Nights" (TW-41) and "Self" (TW-92), plus this is now John Mayer's second highest charted song, he hit No.13 with Fall Out Boy on a cover of "Beat it" in April 2008

* #54 - Cool by The Jonas Brothers follows the brothers' recent and first No.1 single here "Sucker" (TW-3) and this new track is the second single from their forthcoming fifth studio album (no date or title known as yet), plus this new track also becomes their tenth Top 100 entry in Australia (since 2006).

* #85 - Kills You Slowly by The Chainsmokers is the now second single issued from the duos forthcoming third album (no date known as yet) called "World War Joy", which follows on from their recent No.13 track "Who Do You Love" with 5 Seconds of Summer (TW-23), plus the boys also issued another remix on Friday for their song "Hope" with Winona Oak (Parker Remix), and overall this is the pairs 19th Top 100 entry here.

* #96 - I Don't Belong in This Club by Why Don't We feat. Macklemore is the second overall and first lead artist entry for the five-piece boy band, having previously charted on the Logan Paul track "Help Me Help You" (HP-90, 12th of June, 2017), they also hit No.10 last September with their first album "8 Letters".

* #97 - Just You and I by Tom Walker is the second entry here for the Scottish singer who hit No.20 for two weeks in mid-October of 2018 with his first major hit "Leave a Light on", and this new track is also taken from his current album "What a Time to Be Alive" and has hit No.3 in England, plus he will be performing this new song on the Graham Norton Show which will screen here next Friday (19th of April {it screens in England tonight, Sat 13th of April}), which will have flow on effects here to the 29th of April chart.

----------------------==\/==-----------------------
Billie Eilish maintains her No.1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart with her debut studio album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?".

Billie's 'Sleep' album also holds for a second week in both England and New Zealand, plus the album also debuted at the top of the Album Charts in both America and Canada, making it the 27th time that all FIVE Album summits have matched, the last time was at the end of February this year when Ariana Grande held all five locations (Oz, NZ, UK, USA and Canada) with her "thank u, next" set. This time last year we were just cracking out fourth No.1 for the year (with Kylie's "Golden" debuting at the top {April 16th, 2018}) and this year we have racked up seven chart-topping albums.

What potentially could have knocked Billie off the top spot was the second studio for now 21 year old singer Khalid, as this week his new set "Free Spirit" debuts at No.2, becoming his third albums chart entry (2 LP's and 1 EP), his second Top 10 and now his highest charted album, beating the No.9 peak of his almost half-a-year old EP "Suncity" (HP-9, TW-95, 23 weeks charted), and his first album "American Teen" (HP-13, TW-22, 101 weeks charted).

Dean Lewis hold at No.3 for another week with his debut album "A Place We Knew", while this past week ARIA released on their website the vinyl albums EOY sales chart, which had the top selling vinyl album for 2018 being this weeks' national No.4 set for Queen and their "Greatest Hits" (5 to 4), while the band are also still within the Top 10 with the soundtrack to their biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" (7 to 6) and "The Platinum Collection" (9 to 7).

Ariana Grande's "thank u, next" album is down one spot to No.5, and after the two Queen albums at No.6 and No.7, the second of three soundtracks is stable at No.8 in the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper album "A Star is Born", and the third and final film-set is the retuning-to-the-10 in "The Greatest Showman", which is up three spots to No.10 and spending a 65th week within the ten. In-between those two soundtracks are Hilltop Hoods with their latest album "The Great Expanse" which after a vinyl resurge last week is back down seven places to No.9 this week.

UP:
* The Billie Eilish EP "Don't Smile at Me" is ten places lower than her current No.1 album as it rises back up to No.11 this week.
* Eminem's "Curtain Call: The Hits" is back up two spots to No.20 (with his "Kamikaze" set stable at No.19), with other rising collections being by INXS (35 to 34), Elton John (Rocket Man 43 to 38, One Night Only 65 to 59), Queen (GH2 58 to 51), The Wiggles (62 to 53), ABBA (Gold 92 to 68 and More 84 to 74), Fleetwood Mac (Very Best of stable at No.70 at 502 weeks in the chart), Foo Fighters (85 to 73) and Green Day (returns at No.85).

* #12 (LP#14) - Black and Blue Heart by Russell Morris is the fourteenth studio album for the Australian music legend since his first set 'Bloodstone' (HP-12) in 1971, and after three recent albums of blues material, this new set is more rock orientated, with a national tour commencing in Darwin from April 12th (this past Friday), running through until late June. * #25 (LP#6) - Amidst the Chaos by Sara Bareilles becomes her fourth chart entry here and now her highest charted also, beating the No.49 peak of her first entry here "Little Voice" (LP#2, HP-49, late June 2008), while she has also placed two more albums onto our charts in "The Blessed Unrest" (LP#4, HP-73, July 2013) and "What's Inside: Songs from Waitress" (LP#5, HP-90, November 2015).

* #29 (LP#3) - Morbid Stuff by PUP is the third album for the Canadian punk four-piece and now their first to chart here in Australia.

5SOS and Julia Michaels' "Lie To Me" has also gone Platinum this week
Jonas Blue's Rise is now quadruple platinum and Peking Duk's Sugar is now Gold.

Old Town Road got 488k streams yesterday on Spotify. I may be wrong but it may be the highest daily streams for a non Christmas song.

at Mallrat’s concert in Sydney this week she announced that Groceries had gone platinum. idk if that’s new, just thought i’d post it here.
ARIA still has it gold so yeah I'd say it is new.
bulion, Blackpink also charted #61 on 25 June 18 with Square Up EP
thanks NofZ for that.

That info was not on their discography page when I looked it up yesterday while writing my column (it has since been added to the wikipeadia page now by someone).

I only had limited access to some of my files yesterday as I was writing my column offsite, so I couldn't access many of my spreadsheets with chart info on them, thankfully was the only issued (so far) to arise.

Also with the new certified titles, if they're not on the report I get Saturday morning, then I can't post them sorry. I only get T100 singles and albums charts and that's it, so if they're certified on another chart after 5pm on Sat, then thank you for informing us all.
This is probably the happiest I've been with a top 10 in some time, the top 6 particularly.

Fingers crossed for "Old Town Road" going to number one next week though!

I'm curious though, and sorry if this has been answered already, but if both versions (original + Billy Ray Cyrus remix) of "Old Town Road" get enough sales/streams etc., do both versions make the charts, or just the higher selling version? And if it is just the higher selling version, do the sales/streams etc. reflect just just that version of the song or of both songs?

Cheers in advance!
They're just both combined under one (admittedly it's not obvious because the original was #2 on Spotify on its own and Billie was so far ahead that the remix wouldn't make the difference), so as long as ARIA don't miscount anything it'll almost certainly be #1 next week.
Good to know! Thank you!
Why hasn't "Think Of Me" by the Veronicas charted in the top 50 or top 100?

I'm so confused because it's been in the top 40 all last week?
I assume you mean top 40 on iTunes? Digital sales have capsized and are nothing compared to streaming now. Birds Of Tokyo's "Good Lord" was #2-#3 on iTunes all week and is #2 on the digital tracks chart, but with low streaming (so far) that's only enough for #50 on ARIA.

"Think Of Me" was #12 on digital tracks and #105 on ARIA last week. It fell to #26 on digital tracks this week, but only fell 1 spot on the Australian artists chart, so it might still be close to the top 100.

I was going to say that whether it improves on streaming will depend on if it gets on Spotify's Hot Hits Australia playlist, but I just noticed it actually has been added! Probably a solid chance of cracking the top 100 in the next few weeks then.
Think Of Me cracked the Spotify top 200 last night in fact.
Veronicas "Think of Me" fell to #132 this week (1948 total, 751 DL (#26) and only 1197 streamed)

@Hijinx ah I only looked at Kworb which hasn't updated yet so I didn't see! Thanks bulion for the info. Surprising to see G-Eazy & Blueface so 'high' when it's not top 200 on Spotify, Apple Music or iTunes.

Poor 1999, In My Mind and ZEZE all dropping out the same week
