The fourth collaboration and first ever duet between Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber called "I Don't Care" debuts at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart this week, the first time this year a non-American performed song has taken out the No.1 spot.

"I Don't Care" becomes the 1087th No.1 Song in Australia (1940 to 2019) and the 522th for ARIA (1983 to 2019), plus the 122th to debut at No.1 (since the first in 1976) and third to enter at the top for 2019 (the other two were "7 Rings" for Ariana Grande on 28th of Jan., and "Bad Guy" for Billie Eilish on 8th of April), and it's also the 27th No.1 for the record label Atlantic (their last was "Rockabye" by Clean Bandit from 5th of Dec., 2016).

This is the 38th time that the word 'Don't' has appeared in a No.1 title, with the last one being "You Don't Own Me" by Grace (25th of May, 2015 for 1 week), while this is the first time for the word 'Care', with it's closest being "Careless Whisper" for George Michael (4 weeks from 17-Sept., 1984). Both Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber rise in their tallies of No.1 song in Australia, JB now has had six, while Ed has amassed five chart-topping songs, moving them to now equal 21st for Justin and equal 27th for Ed Sheeran in the listing for 'Most No.1 Songs 1940-2019'.

Justin's sixth No.1 also moves him further ahead of fellow country-men Drake and Bryan Adams (4 No.1's apiece) as the Canadian act (solo, male, female, duo or group) with the Most No.1 songs, while Ed Sheeran is now equal first for Solo UK Male Singer alongside George Michael's tally of five No.1's also (Rod Stewart is now second with 4 #1's). Overall this is the 29th No.1 song by a Canadian artist (solo, duo or group) and the 207th by an English act.

For the listing of 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Singles (2010's) the two artists were sitting at No.1 and No.2 on that listing (Ed at #1, JB at #2), and they remain in those spots all-the-while increasing their tally of weeks at No.1 this decade to 30 weeks and 29 weeks respectively, while on the similar overall listing (1940 to 2019) the pair are at =18th (Ed) and 21st (JB), Ed now tied alongside The Black Eyed Peas and Eminem (both 8 #1's) who have also amassed 30 weeks at the top in Australia.

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, this is the fourth collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber, with the pair having co-written "Love Yourself" in 2015 and Major Lazer's "Cold Water" in 2016, plus the recent chart entry "Earth" for Lil' Dicky (TW-28) where they both have vocal sections in the song, and now the pair are singing together on the new No.1 song, which has also debuted at the top in England, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Scotland and Sweden (so far) and here is the No.1 digital song and it comes in at No.2 on the streaming chart (but then only four songs have debuted at No.1 on the streaming chart, two Beiber's, a Sheeran and a Swift track).

After four weeks at No.1 the Lil' Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus track "Old Town Road" is down one spot to No.2 but it holds its lead on the streaming chart and has three versions selling on the digital chart at No.2, No.10 and No.25, while it is still at the top in New Zealand, America (both 6th week) and Canada (5th week). Billie Eilish and her former No.1 song "Bad Guy" is down one spot to No.3, and last weeks highest new entry for Shawn Mendes with "If I Can't Have You" along with "3 Nights" for Dominic Fike are stable this week at No.4 and No.5 respectively.

The Taylor Swift track "ME!" with Brendon Urie halves its position from last week and is down three spots to No.6, while the just released debut album for Lewis Capaldi dropped on Friday, and his first single "Someone You Loved" rebounds five places to a new peak of No.7 and an overall third week within the Top 10 (it logged two weeks at No.10 from the end of April). The second and final new peak inside the ten is for Avicii and Aloe Blacc with "SOS", up a notch to No.8, while falling two places apiece are former No.1 songs "Sucker" for the Jonas Brothers and "Sunflower" by Post Malone and Swae Lee to No.9 and No.10 respectively, while "Sunflower" logs its 29th consecutive week inside the Top 10, still the longest ever run within the ten.

UP:

* Bazzi lands his third Top 40 single in Australia as his latest entry "Beautiful" rises twelve spots to land at a new peak of No.37.
* After losing the No.1 spot in England this week to Ed and JB, the Stormzy track "Vossi Bop" here rises three places to a new peak of No.39.
* Local artist Tones and I jumps up seventeen places to land at No.40 with "Johnny Run Away", while she issued a new track on Friday called "Dance Monkey".
* The Kygo & Rita Ora theme from 'Pokemon: Detective Pikachu' is up six spots this week and into the Top 50 at No.45 becoming the ninth Top 50 for Kygo and the thirteenth for Rita Ora.
* With the new Ed Sheeran debut at the top, his 100+week entries rise back up this week in "Perfect" (67 to 60 at 115 weeks) and "Shape of You" (87 to 76 at 123 weeks) which is again the 'Longest Charted Song'.
* Two of last weeks new entries rise to new peaks this week in "Piece of Your Heart" by MeduZa (79 to 61) and local singer Ruel with "Painkiller" (68 to 63).
* After six weeks of charting (so far) the collaboration between Why Don't We and Macklemore in "I Don't Belong in This Club" is up to a new peak again, this week to No.78.
* After half a year of charting the Ellie Goulding track "Close to Me" (HP-25) has fallen out, while her most recent track "Sixteen" (HP-77) rises back up to No.92 this week.
* The only returning track to the chart is at No.98, "Peer Pressure" (HP-68) for James Bay and Julia Michaels.

DOWN:
* The two songs leaving the Top 10 this week are "Talk" by Khalid (HP-4, WI10-10) down one spot to No.11 and last weeks debuting song "Homicide" for Logic and Eminem (HP-6, WI10-1), falling six places to No.12.
* All of the Post Malone entries drop back down this week after his tour here has finished, starting with "Wow." (11 to 13), then "Better Now" (46 to 55), "I Fall Apart" (58 to 67), "Rockstar" (60 to 69) and "Psycho" (71 to 84).
* All twelve entries for Billie Eilish drop down this week, the eleven outside of the Top 10 are "Bury a Friend" (14 to 17), When the Party's Over" (16 to 20), "Wish You Were Gay" (22 to 27), "Lovely" (30 to 36), "My Strange Addiction" (39 to 52), "You Should See Me in a Crown" (47 to 62), "All the Good Girls Go to Hell" (53 to 65), "Ocean Eyes" (61 to 66), "Bellyache" (66 to 77), "I Love You" (73 to 80) and "Xanny" (70 to 86).
* P!nk remains within the Top 20 with "Walk Me Home" (17 to 19), while her No.1 albums' title track "Hurts 2B Human" falls sixteen places this week to No.81.
* After leaping into the Top 20 last week the Lil' Dicky track "Earth" declines back down the chart nine spots to No.28.
* Ariana Grande has three Top 100 entries this week, but only one within the Top 50 as "7 Rings" is down three places to No.30, while she departs the fifty with "Break Up With Your Boyfriend, I'm Bored" (48 to 56) and her third entry is "thank u, next" (64 to 68).
* The Halsey track "Without Me" dips four spots to No.38, while her teaming with BTS on "Boy with Luv" drops down eleven spots to No.42.
* The former No.1 for Dean Lewis and "Be Alright" is down six spots to No.43, while his newest entry "Stay Awake" falls nine places to No.47 and is the first of two new certifications this week, now Gold (●) in sales.
* The Khalid and John Mayer track "Outta My Head" is down eight places to No.48, while Khalid also descends with "My Bad" (63 to 70).
* George Ezra's track "Shotgun" is only down one spot to No.53, while his other entry "Hold My Girl" falls eight to No.99 and is newly certified ▲Platinum.
* With most of the major descending tracks in the lower fifty already mentioned above, the next major drop occurs for Alex Benjamin with "Let me Down Slowly" which falls fourteen places to No.88.
* Blackpink plummets twenty-eight spots to No.90 with their second entry here "Kill This Love".
* Rapper YNW Melly is down again this week with "Murder on My Mind", falling seven places to No.93.
* Potentially the new Marshmello entry with Tyga and Chris Brown might not even make the Top 50 (let alone the Top 10 like his previous entries), as "Light it Up" drops again for a second week, down fourteen places to No.97.

FURTHER NEW ENTRIES:
* #1 - I Don't Care by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber

* #41 - You Little Beauty by Fisher is the second entry for the local Aussie artist born Paul Fisher, who took his former ARIA Dance Charts No.1 song "Losing it" to No.35 back in February (after it was at the #2 song on the annual Triple J Hottest 100 poll), and this new track contains a sample of Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation", which was also used by Black Box (1989 and 1990), Marky Mark, Cappella (both in 1991), Moby (1993), Cevin Fisher (1999), Chase & Status (2008), Cash Cash (2013) and last year by Flo Rida.

* #51 - Beer Never Broke My Heart by Luke Combs is the first taste (or swig) of new material from the recent tourist here, with this being his first Top 100 singles chart entry, but he has charted several times in the past over on the digital sales chart with "Beautiful Crazy" (HP-20, 14-May, 2018) and "Must've Never Met You" (HP-13, 11-June, 2018).

* #79 - Summer Days by Martin Garrix feat. Macklemore & Patrick Stump (of Fall Out Boy) is the tenth overall Top 100 entry here for Martin, while the song has so far cracked the Top 20 in Belgium, The Netherlands, Hungary and New Zealand, while also charting well in Ireland (#25), Slovakia (#32) and Sweden (#39).

* #94 - Falling Like the Stars by James Arthur becomes the seventh entry here for the English singer (six as lead, one as guest vocalist), with his last entry being a cover of "Rewrite the Stars" with Anne-Marie (HP-67) late last year.

-----------------------==\/==------------------------
P!nk's "Hurts 2B Human" holds for a third week at the summit of the ARIA Albums Chart this week, plus it is newly certified Gold (●) in sales.

All three of this years No.1 albums by solo female artists have now logged three or more weeks at the top, five for Ariana Grande and three for Billie Eilish and now P!nk, while P!nk now sees her tally of weeks at No.1 here rise to 43 weeks in total (holding at 5th on the 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums 1965-2019' listing) and for this decade she has now notched up 32 weeks at the top (holding at No.3 on the 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums {2010's}), while "Hurts 2B Human" also holds for a third week at the top in England.

That former Billie Eilish No.1 set in "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" is on hold at No.2 in Australia, while she just performed in New Zealand this past week where the album has gone back to the top there (fourth overall week) and it also reclaimed the summit in Canada too (3rd overall week). Local country singer Lee Kernaghan sees his seventeenth studio album called "Backroad Nation" come in at No.3 this week, becoming his tenth Top 10 (9 studios and 1 best of) and third Top 3 album in Australia, plus his third successive Top 3 album after 2015's "Spirit of the ANZACs" (HP-1) and 2017's "The 25th Anniversary Album" (HP-2).

There are four Aussie acts within the Top 10 this week, and the second and third are back to back in The Seekers and "Farewell" down one to No.4 and current tourist Dean Lewis with "A Place We Knew" which is up one spot to No.5. The fourth and final local singer is David Campbell who is up four spots to a new peak of No.10 with "Back in the Swing", possibly due to last weekend being Mother's Day, plus it becomes his sixth Top 10 album here and first since his 2016 stage production album of "Dream Lover - The Bobby Darin Musical" (HP-9, peaked early Oct 2016).

Falling two places apiece are Khalid with "Free Spirit" (4 to 6), recent tourist here Post Malone with "Beerbongs & Bentleys" (5 to 7) and Rob Thomas' "Chip Tooth Smile" (7 to 9), while the soundtrack for the Queen biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is back up one spot to No.8, and could be joined soon by the soundtrack for the Elton John film 'Rocket Man' in the next few weeks (it opens in cinemas on May 30th).

UP:
* The soundtracks rising this week are 'A Star is Born' (12 to 11), 'The Greatest Showman' is stable at No.16, but the 'Reimagined' edition jumps up nine spots to No.38, with the final rising s'track being for 'Black Panther' (86 to 77).
* With a new No.1 song entry for Ed Sheeran his three studio albums all rise this week in "÷" (18 to 15), "x" (39 to 32) and his first set "+" (68 to 58).
* The Hilltop Hoods have two Top 50 entries this week in their latest album "The Great Expanse" (20 to 17) and then their "Drinking...Walking...Restrung" (57 to 48).
* Luke Combs climbs back into the Top 20 to No.19 with "This One's for You" as he lands his first singles chart entry this week with "Beer Never Broke My Heart" (which is NOT on this album).
* With a tour and promo work this past week for Amy Shark, her album "Love Monster" rises four spots to No.21.
* With the Elton John biopic coming at the end of the month he sees this week a rise for his most recent best of collection "Diamonds" (which also had a vinyl release last week, and an expended edition on CD this Friday 17th of May), which is up eleven spots to No.22, with his 1974 classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" strolling up nine places to No.68.
* Further Greatest Hits sets to climb back up are for Queen (GH 30 to 28, Platinum Collection 51 to 43), Eminem (38 to 33), Maroon 5 (46 to 44), P!nk (returns at No.57), ABBA (Gold & More returns at #74), John Farnham (returns at #76), Bee Gees (returns at #78), Green Day (93 to 80) and Missy Higgins (returns at #98).
* Tickets for the October 2019 tour by Morgan Evans went on sale recently, and his last album "Things That We Drink to" returned to the chart last week, and this week it leaps up fifty-one spots to No.29.
* The Thursday night broadcast and pre-show TV events for Eurovision (semi-final 1) fell into this past weeks sales figures period, and thus the 'Tel Aviv: 2019' album for Eurovision returns at No.47 this week, whereas next week it will zoom up the chart thanks to this weekends second semi-final and then Grand Final.
* Ziggy Alberts' "Laps Around the Sun" logs its half-a-year on the charts by rising back up nine places to No.52.
* Further returning albums are "Love is in the Air" for The Ten Tenors (#62, for Mothers Day), current tourist here and this years Grammy winner for 'Album of the Year' in Kasey Musgraves with "Golden Hour" (#63), Guns N' Roses' "Appetite for Destruction" (#94), Shawn Mendes' "illuminate" (#95) and another Mum's Day favourite in "Love" by Michael Buble (#100).
* Last weeks debut of the first album for U.S. rapper Tyla Yaweh and "Heart Full of Rage" is this week up fifteen spots to a new peak of No.70.
* Vance Joy's debut album "Dream Your Life Way" logs its 200th week within the Top 100 this week and is back up a place to No.93.

* Just like the singles chart, there are two dropouts from the Top 10 this week, starting with last weeks returning set of "Don't Smile at Me" by Billie Eilish (HP-6, WI10-3a) down four to No.14 and last weeks highest new entry and this weeks U.S.A. No.1 album "Father of the Bride" (HP-8, WI10-1) for Vampire Weekend, plummeting here nineteen spots to No.27.
* BTS drop down seven spots to No.18 with their former No.1 EP "Map of the Soul: Persona".
* Hillsong United fall a further eight places this week to No.23 with "People".
* ScHoolboy Q and his three week old entry "Crash Talk" slides down eleven places to No.34.
* The soundtrack for 'Guardians Vol.1' drops nine spots to No.30, with other falling soundtracks being for 'Guardians Vol.2' (66 to 75) and 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse' (75 to 91).
* Both of Beyoncé's Top 100 entries drop into the lower fifty this week in "Lemonade" (34 to 51) and her live set "Homecoming" (67 to 83).
* Further third week entries to hold again this week are "The Balance" for Catfish & the Bottlemen (32 to 54), Paul Kelly's "Live at the Sydney Opera House" (55 to 71) and "Designer" for Aldous Harding (56 to 96).
* Now that their tour here is over the Human Nature album "Romance of the Jukebox" plummets back down thirty-eight spots to No.60.
* The Rolling Stones latest collection "Honk" drops down twenty-three places to No.64, with further falling best of sets being by The Wiggles (65 to 66) and The Foo Fighters (92 to 97).
* Last weeks Top 20 entry for Amon Amarth and "Berserker" descends sixty-seven places this week to No.86.
* Three albums leave the Top 100 from last weeks Top 50, starting with the Ruby Fields debut from No.26 and "Permanent Hermit/Your Dad's Opinion for Dinner", followed by the Bad Religion set "Age of Unreason" (#28) and also Juice WRLD's second set "Death Race for Love" (#45).

FURTHER NEW ENTRIES:
* #3 (LP#17) - Backroad Nation by Lee Kernaghan

* #12 (LP#5) - Confessions of a Dangerous Mind by Logic was a surprise release on Monday or Tuesday for the U.S. rapper, containing last weeks Top 10 single "Homicide" with Eminem (HP-6, TW-12), and earlier release "Keanu Reeves" (HP-92), while this is the sixth Top 100 albums chart entry here (five studios and one mixtape), plus also his fifth Top 50 entry (four studios and the mixtape).

* #25 (LP#4) - Here Comes the Cowboy by Mac DeMarco is the Canadian singer-songwriters fourth studio album and it becomes his third albums chart entry here (2 studio albums and one mini-LP) and it lands within his usual chart-region here, having previously charted with "This Old Dog" (LP#3, HP-23, mid-May 2017) and prior with his mini-LP "Another One" (HP-24, mid-August 2015).
