It's a twelfth week at No.1 for the rap/country infused track "Old Town Road" for the rapper Lil' Nas X and the country legend Billy Ray Cyrus, becoming the longest running chart-leader in almost two years ago.

"Old Town Road" and it's twelve weeks at the top becomes the equal third longest running No.1 song for this decade alongside "Happy" by Pharrell Williams (from January 2014), while this time two years ago the top of the charts were gripped by the track "Despacito" for Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber (22-May to 14-Aug 2017, at this time this was it's 9th week at the top {17th of July, 2017}), which was the last longest running single here. The song is also now the equal 19th longest running No.1 song of all time (1940 to 2019) alongside "Happy" for Pharrell and "Buttons and Bows" for Dinah Shore (1949) and the longest running No.1 for the 2000's (first decade of this century) "Lose Yourself" by Eminem (2002). Billy Ray Cyrus has now amassed 19 weeks at the top from his two No.1 songs, moving him up to equal 38th on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Singles (1940 to 2019) alongside the 19 weeks from two No.1's notched up by LMFAO in 2011. The song also holds the top spot again in Canada (13 weeks) and the U.S.A. (14 weeks).

The entire top four singles are on hold again this week, with the current Irish (3rd week), New Zealand (2nd week) and now English (1st week) No.1 song "Senorita" for Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello stable at No.2 here for a third straight week, while it is the highest streamed track locally this week too (#3 digital), followed by two Ed Sheeran tracks in "I Don't Care" with Justin Bieber and "Beautiful People" with Khalid at No.3 and No.4 respectively, while Ed is back down to only two songs within the Top 10 this week, which might rise next week with his new album issued on Friday, as two more tracks from "No.6 Collaborations Project" enter within the Top 40 this week, making it five songs from the new album now charting, meaning a further ten could enter next week (if his last album's entire track listing charting is anything to go by, that occurred on the 13th of March, 2017).

Debuting at No.5 is "Goodbyes" by Post Malone with Young Thug, becoming the U.S. rappers eighth Top 10 single in Australia and also the second for Young Thug, whose previous entry to the ten was as a guest on the Camila Cabello track "Havana" (HP-1x3, peaked late Nov., 2017), with the song landing in the Top 10 first week also in Belgium (#1), Sweden (#4), England, New Zealand (#5), Ireland (#7) and Norway (#8).

There could be a slight rise next week for the Billie Eilish track "Bad Guy" as she has also issued a version of the song as a duet with Justin Bieber on Friday, while the original is down one spot this week to No.6, followed by last weeks leaper into the Top 10 in the Guy Sebastian track "Choir", which rises three spots to a new peak of No.7 and is the first of four new certifications this week, newly Gold (●) in sales. Down two places apiece are Lewis Capaldi with "Someone You Loved" and MeduZa and Goodbyes with their dance track "Piece of Your Heart" to No.8 and No.9 respectively, while the second entry to the Top 10 this week is the second track for local singer Tones and I with "Dance Monkey", up seven spots to a new peak of No.10 and also it becomes her first Top 10 single in Australia and beats the No.12 peak of her first entry "Johnny Run Away" (TW-16).

UP:
* Blanco Brown's rap/country hybrid track "The Git Up" canters up six spots this week to a new peak of No.13.
* As I mentioned Tones and I scored her first Top 10 this week, while her first entry "Johnny Run Away" is stable at No.16 and now certified ▲Platinum.
* Lizzo returned to her former peak of No.21 last week with "Truth Hurts", which this week climbs three spots to score a new chart height of No.18, and a first week within the Top 20.
* 5 Seconds of Summer performed on 'The Voice' Grand Final this past week singing "Easier", which is back up a couple of spots to No.21 this week, while their No.1 single of 2018 in "Youngblood" rises back up two spots also, to No.50.

* The latest Marshmello track with Kane Brown and "One Thing Right" climbs three to a new peak of No.42.
* Landing her 27th Top 50 single this week is Jessica Mauboy with "Little Things", up twelve chart rungs to a new height of No.46 and becoming her first Top 50 single since her Eurovision single "We Got Love" (HP-31, peaked May 2018), plus she had a new track issued on Friday called "Blessing".
* Another local artist who climbs into the Top 50 with a new track is rapper Illy with "Then What", rising nineteen places from last weeks debut spot to land at No.47, this now is his seventh Top 50 placing of twelve Top 100 entries, and his second for this year as he is sitting this week at No.45 as a guest artist on The Hilltop Hoods song "Exit Sign" (HP-16).
* Andy Grammer could score his third Top 50 single next week if his latest entry "Don't Give Up on Me" continues to rise, as this week it leaps up fourteen places to a new peak of No.51.
* Ed Sheeran not only has the most entries this week at seven in total, but he retains his crown with the 'Longest Charted Single' in "Shape of You" at 131 weeks within the Top 100, the song up one to No.74.
* With a new album for J. Cole debuting at No.2 this week, his singles chart entry "Middle Child" rebounds thirteen spots to No.79, as its the albums first single.
* After tumbling down to No.89 last week, the second Mabel entry "Mad Love" rebounds this week nine spots to No.80.
* All four returning tracks this week dropped out last week, with the aforementioned Miley & Ronson track this is followed at No.94 by "Rockstar" and at No.98 for "I Fall Apart" by Post Malone and also "I Love You" by Billie Eilish at No.95.

DOWN:
* Two songs leave the Top 10 this week with the latest Taylor Swift track "You Need to Calm Down" (HP-3, WI10-3, 9 to 12, newly certified Gold (●) in sales) and "Cross Me" (HP-5, WI10-6, 8 to 14) by Ed Sheeran with Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock, which could return to the ten next week with Ed's new album out now.
* Of the three Drake entries this week, one is on hold and two move down; with his "Money in the Grave" track stable at No.11, his Travis Scott older entry "Sicko Mode" drops five to No.76 and his teaming with Chris Brown and "No Guidance" tumbles ten places to No.22 and is now Gold (●), while Chris' second entry in last weeks newbie "Don't Check on Me" with Justin Bieber slides twelve places to No.32.
* Lil' Nas X bookends the Top 20 this week as his second (and now) final entry "Panini" falls five spots to No.20, while his other recent entry "Rodeo" leaves the Top 100 after two weeks at No.72, and is also this weeks highest dropout.
* The "SOS" for Avicii and Aloe Blacc sails down only four spots to No.31, while the teaming for Avicii and Chris Martin on "Heaven" continues to descend, down eight places to No.48.
* "Woke Up Late" for Drax Project and Hailee Steinfeld drops down seven places to No.33.
* Four of the five Khalid entries this week move down in "Talk" (31 to 36), "Eastside" (36 to 39), "Lovely" with Billie Eilish (50 to 63) and "Better" (53 to 66).
* That "Eastside" track I just mentioned for Benny Blanco with Khalid and Halsey is also logging its one-year on the charts (52 weeks), as too are "Shotgun" for George Ezra (57 to 55) and "Body" by Loud Luxury (70 to 72).
* With a new Young Thug collaborative Top 10 entry this week, his most recent lead entry "The London" drops down thirteen places to No.43.

* Tyler, the Creator and his "Earfquake" departs the fifty also, sliding seventeen places to No.56.
* Taylor Swift's second entry to slide this week is "ME!", down eleven spots to No.58.
* Apart from the "Lovely" duet for Khalid and Billie Eilish, she also moves down with "When the Party's Over" (44 to 57), "Bury a Friend" (59 to 69) and departs with "Wish You Were Gay" (#100, 18 weeks).

* Ava Max's "So Am I" falls nine spots this week to No.83.

In a lull week of releases ahead of a new Ed Sheeran album on the Friday just gone, Billie Eilish regains the No.1 Albums spot in Australia for a seventh week at the top with "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?".

"When We All Fall Asleep..." is now the longest running studio album for an artist (which means this excludes the 11 weeks for the soundtrack to 'A Star is Born') since last April when Ed Sheeran notched up his 27th and final week at the top with "÷ (Divide)", which is sitting at No.8 this week. This seventh week and sixth run at the top for Billie is also not far from Ed's nine separate runs at the top too, while for Billie she once again has the longest running No.1 album for 2019 (so far) and returns for a tenth broken week at the top in New Zealand.

Debuting at No.2 is "Revenge of the Dreamers III" for J. Cole and the record label Dreamville, which is the third collaboration between the two (and first to chart here), with this 18 track album featuring J. Cole with a multitude of acts such as DaBaby, T.I., Vince Staples, Ty Dolla $ign and Young Nudy among the acts appearing on the new set. This is the sixth albums chart entry here for J. Cole and now his third Top 10 placing, plus he has a new solo studio album due out soon called "The Fall Off".

There are three albums climbing up three spots within the Top 10, returning to it's former peak of No.3 is the Elton John collection "Diamonds" (6 to 3), while Pink's "Hurts 2B Human" is up to No.4 (7 to 4) and regaining its No.5 entry peak is the EP for Lil' Nas X with "7" (8 to 5, No.1 in Canada for a 2nd wk). The only surviving entry from last weeks Top 10 entries is the Chris Brown album "Indigo", which here is down three spots to No.6, while it also landed at No.1 in the U.S.A., and the No.1 album from four weeks ago in "Western Stars" for Bruce Springsteen falls two spots to No.7. Two albums return to the Top 10 this week in the soundtrack for the Queen biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (11 to 9, 31st week within the Top 10) and "Free Spirit" by Khalid (12 to 10, 13th week in Top 10).

UP:
* With a new Top 5 singles chart entry for Post Malone, his two album chart entries rise back up, with "Beerbongs & Bentleys" jumping eight spots to No.12, and his older "Stoney" entry is up four to No.39.
* Apart from the Queen biopic, further soundtracks rising this week are for 'A Star is Born' (15 to 13), 'The Greatest Showman' (22 to 18) and 'Moana' (79 to 63).
* There's a new compilation featuring both solo Michael Hutchence and INXS material which enters at No.28, but this also boosts the bands collection "The Very Best" back up twenty spots to No.19, while further best of sets to rise are for Maroon 5 (64 to 49), Guns N' Roses (returns at No.70), Queen (Platinum Collection 83 to 75), Green Day (82 to 76), Foo Fighters (returns at No.79) and Bon Jovi (100 to 87).
* Luke Combs' "This One's for You" is back up three spots to No.20.
* Adele's "25" set climbs back into the Top 30 this week, up seven spots to No.27.
* The Hillsong church had one of their major gatherings last weekend, thus their latest album "People" zooms back up this week forty-seven places to land at No.33.
* With a new BTS video game just issued, their most recent album/EP "Map of the Soul: Persona" is back up fourteen places to No.40, while the soundtrack to that game which entered last week at No.73 is out this week.
* Ziggy Alberts' "Laps Around the Sun" rebounds twenty-three places this week to No.58.
* Elton John also rises with his 1974 set "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", up eleven spots to No.59.

Diana Rouvas did not chart within the Top 500 singles at all this week, maybe next week, maybe not at all.

Any questions this week?

I would love to know what the gap is between #100 and #101 on the album chart

2 units hijinx lol.

Interesting that the #500 on single did 788 units. Two years ago, the #500 did 500 units in July.
Do you know that exactly IE? Because I feel there's even a slight chance that it's less than one, and in that case I can finally lay claim to being responsible for getting something onto the charts (and at the expense of a week for one of the longest running albums on the charts ever)
Oh no that was just a joke (even though that wouldn't be too surprising lol). Bulion will probably be able to tell.
