Singles Chartifacts:

It's a third week atop the ARIA Singles Chart tree for local singer Tones and I with her track "Dance Monkey".

The last Australian act to spent three (or more) weeks at No.1 was Dean Lewis with "Be Alright" at this time last year (5 weeks from 20th August, 2018), the last Solo Female Aussie singer to log three or more weeks was over eleven years ago, "Sweet About Me" by Gabriella Cilma (5 broken weeks from 14th April, 2008).

The top three singles are all on hold again this week, with the current English, German (5th weeks apiece), New Zealand (6th week) and Irish (8th week) No.1 song "Senorita" for Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello stable at No.2 again and another former No.1 in the strangle-holder in America (19th week, new record) and Canada (18th week) and the track "Old Town Road" for Lil' Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus here it's at No.3 again, plus the track is newly certified 7x▲Platinum in sales, the same amount as the first No.1 of the year in "Sunflower" for Post Malone and Swae Lee (TW-24).

America heavy metal act Slipknot sees their sixth studio album "We Are Not Your Kind" become their third consecutive No.1 album in Australia, and it's the bands first new material in just under five years.

"We Are Not Your Kind" becomes the 853rd No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2019), the 703rd for ARIA (1983 to 2019), the 493rd to debut at No.1 (1976 to 2019), the 15th No.1 album for 2019 and the eighth for the record label Roadrunner, with their last being "Misery" for The Amity Affliction (3rd of Sept., 2018), plus the set also enters at the top in England too (#2 in N.Z.).

Slipknot have now had three No.1 albums in a row here in Australia, starting with "All Hope is Gone" (LP#4, 2 weeks from 1-Sept.-2008) and then their last was "5: The Gray Chapter" (LP#5, 1 week on 27-Oct.-2014). With the band now scoring their third No.1 album here they join the list for 'Most Weeks at No.1: Albums (1965 to 2019) at No.138 alongside Keith Urban and Justin Bieber (4 weeks from 3 No.1 Albums).

This is the first time that the word 'Kind' has appeared in a No.1 album title, plus the sixth with 'Your' (the last being 'Dream Your Life Away' by Vance Joy, 15-Sept., 2014), the eighth "Not" (Bon Jovi were the last in Nov., 2016) and only the third with an 'Are' (The 1975 were the last in March of 2016). This new No.1 album becomes the 300th by an American act (solo, duo, group, male or female) and the first NEW chart-topping album by an American act since Bruce Springsteen (24th of June), plus the 378th by an Group (local or overseas) and the fourth by a group this year after Bring Me the Horizon (4-Feb), Hilltop Hoods (4-March) and the last group at the top were BTS (22-April).

After four weeks at the top the Ed Sheeran set "No.6 Collaborations Project" is down a place to No.2 and holds at the top in New Zealand (5th week), while last weeks No.2 debut for The Teskey Brothers is the only one of last weeks Top 10 new entries to remain within the ten, and is down a spot to No.3, followed by a stable No.4 for Billie Eilish and her debut set "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?". The two soundtracks within the Top 10 are back-to-back this week, with 'A Star is Born' bounding back up five places to No.5 and dropping a single spot to No.6 is 'The Lion King' 2019 set.

Fleetwood Mac are currently touring the country, with added Neil Finn taking over for Lindsay Buckingham, and they debut at No.7 with their ninth Greatest Hits collection, the 3 disc set "50 Years - Don't Stop", which becomes the bands' third Top 10 best of sets, and first since "25 Years - The Chain" (HP-2, peaked mid-Sept., 2013), plus overall the bands tenth Top 10 album in Australia.

The fourth studio album for U.S. indie folk band Bon Iver debuts at No.8 called "I,I" and features contributions from James Blake, Bruce Hornsby and Aaron Dessner (from The National), plus it becomes his fourth albums chart entry here and third Top 10, having previously hit the Top 10 with their self titled second album "Bon Iver" (LP#2, HP-2, late June 2011) and "22, A Million" (LP#3, HP-2, mid-October 2016). Returning to the Top 10 are "Diamonds" for Elton John (11 to 9, an overall eleventh week inside the Top 10) and recent tourist here Conrad Sewell with "LIFE" (overall fourth week within the T10), which rebounds a massive fifteen places to land at No.10.

UP:
* With Hugh Jackman touring the country with his live musical shows, the soundtrack to his long charting film 'The Greatest Showman' (88 weeks) is back up three spots to No.12, while the only rising soundtrack this week is for the Queen biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (22 to 15), with the 'Yesterday' set stable at No. 61.
* Dean Lewis' debut album "A Place We Knew" has climbed in certification this week from Gold to now 2x▲Platinum in sales, plus he had two certified singles this week too.

* This past week was the 50th anniversary of The Beatles album "Abbey Road" being released (in England), and it returns at No.55 this week, while originally it first charted here in Australia on the 25th of October, 1969, spending 18 weeks at No.1 upon debut and was the last chart-topping album in Australia for the decade of the 1960's.

Only Human is finally going to debut this week https://twitter.com/ARIA_Official/status/1164028546269892608 I imagine Glitter & Mr. Brightside should be just outside the top 100 if they were let on, which means the top 100 might be accurate this week

(Although I'm a bit suspicious of Lil Tecca's streams being counted correctly still).

It appears that the 2x Platinum accreditation which appeared next to Dean Lewis' A Place We Knew that week was a mistake as the album is back to a more realistic Gold certification on this week's chart:
