Singles Chartifacts:

Toni Watson under her moniker of Tones and I remains perched atop the ARIA Singles Chart tree with "Dance Monkey", which is newly 2x▲Platinum in sales and her highest of her three Top 21 entries this week.

"Dance Monkey" is also logging it's third week at No.1 in Norway and a second week at the summit in Sweden, while it is also within the Top 10 in Finland (#3), Denmark (#9) and New Zealand (#10, up from 17), plus also charting in Ireland (#11), Austria (#31), England (#48) and just debuted in Germany (#39) and France (#70) this past week.

The current No.1 song "Dance Monkey" is now the longest running No.1 for an Australian Female Solo artist this decade, and the longest continual run at No.1 by a local female singer since the 2nd to 5th weeks at No.1 for "Sweet About Me" by Gabriella Cilmi from the 19th of May, 2008 (it initially held the top spot for a single week, before losing it for three weeks to Madonna & J.T.'s "4 Minutes", before regaining the top spot). Plus the Tones and I track is also the third longest running No.1 song here for 2019 behind "7 Rings" for Ariana Grande (the longest previous run at the top for a female singer at 5 weeks) and "Old Town Road" for Lil' Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus (13 broken weeks).

Also cracking the 2x▲Platinum sales status is the former No.1 song "Senorita" for Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, which logs it's seventh overall week at No.2 (in it's 9 weeks its has also had one week at the top and one week at No.3), plus the song remains the top selling track in Ireland (9th week), New Zealand (7th week), England and Germany (6th week apiece). And with the Top 5 singles on hold this week we also see the other former No.1 song in "Old Town Road" at No.3, the song losing it's No.1 crown in America this week, but it does hold for 19th week at the summit in Canada.

Ed Sheeran's duet with Khalid and "Beautiful People" is newly certified ▲Platinum in sales and on hold at it's peak of No.4 for a fifth broken week, while the new U.S.A. No.1 single is our former chart-topping song "Bad Guy" for Billie Eilish, which here is stable at No.5. After three weeks of single digit climbs, this week the Blanco Brown track called "The Git Up" rides up two places to a new peak of No.6 and is also now newly ▲Platinum in sales.

Down a place to No.7 is the Post Malone and Young Thug track "Goodbyes", while last weeks highest entry for newcomer Lil' Tecca and "Ran$om" jumps up seven places to land within the Top 10 at a new peak of No.8, it's same position in America this week, while it is sitting at No.2 in New Zealand (it's highest worldwide position this week). The second and final track to climb into the Top 10 this week is the Marshmello and Kane Brown collaboration "One Thing Right", up three places to a new peak of No.9, and it becomes the sixth Top 10 single since 2017 for the mysterious DJ and producer in Marshmello, who was last within the Top 10 in late April of this year with "Here With Me" (HP-9x2) featuring CHVRCHES, followed by the MeduZa and Goodboys track "Piece of Your Heart", which is down one spot to No.10.

* #22 - Slide Away by Miley Cyrus is the third recent chart entry for the U.S. singer, with this song supposedly about her recent break-up with her now ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, and follows on from "On a Roll" (as Ashley O, HP-86) and her other current chart entry "Mother's Daughter" (HP-21, TW-69), and this new track becomes her 27th Top 100, her 21st Top 50 and now her fourth for 2019 as earlier this year she appeared on the Mark Ronson track "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" (HP-6, peaked in the last week of Dec 2018 and spent the first six weeks of the year within our Top 10).

* #47 - Motivation by Normani is the third entry and first solo chart appearance for the former Fifth Harmony member, whose two previous chart entries both scored Top 10 berths in "Love Lies" with Khalid (HP-3, peaked mid-April 2018) and "Dancing with a Stranger" alongside Sam Smith (HP-6, peaked late March of 2019), with her new track co-written with Ariana Grande and Max Martin.

Albums Chartifacts:

Ed Sheeran regains the top spot in Australia with his set "No.6 Collaborations Project" for a fifth week at No.1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

"No.6 Collaborations Project" also regains the No.1 slot in England (5th week) and holds again in New Zealand (6th straight week), and it becomes the fourth album to regain the No.1 slot on the Albums chart this year after 'A Star is Born' soundtrack (11th of Feb.), Ariana Grande (11th of March) and Billie Eilish (which did it on five separate occasions, firstly on the 29th of April). Ed's fourth No.1 album also becomes now the equal second longest running No.1 for the year, tying at five week racked up one two different runs at the top for Ariana Grande's "thank u, next", with Billie Eilish in the lead at seven overall weeks at No.1 during 2019.

The return to the top for Ed Sheeran gives a rise to his overall weeks at No.1 in Australia, moving him up to outright sixth on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums; 1965 to 2019' to 41 weeks (from four #1 albums), two weeks away from tying with P!nk and five weeks away from Neil Diamond's 1970's total of 43 weeks. On the similar list for this decade (2010 to 2019), Ed now takes the lead on that tally board, surpassing the 40 weeks accumulated for Adele during this decade. Lastly this is third of Ed's four No.1 albums to score multiple runs at the top, with his second set "x (Multiply)" landing six separate runs at the top (8 weeks in total at #1) and his third album "÷ (Divide)" which had nine different runs at the top from 13th of March 2017 until mid-April of 2018 (27 weeks in total), that set is back up one spot to No.10 this week for a 105th week within the Top 10 (2 years and one week).

The 15th studio album for local act King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard debuts at No.2 this week called "Infest the Rats' Nest", becoming the psych-rock acts seventh Top 10 album in Australia, their second Top 10 for 2019 and also their second No.2 set, as they made it this high previously with their set "Flying Microtonal Banana" (early March 2017), while back in early May they made it to No.4 with "Fishing for Fishies".

Last weeks No.1 album here and in England was the Slipknot set "We Are Not Your Kind", which is down two places to No.3, their lowest drop-off from the top spot of their three No.1 albums, their last two sets falling to No.5 ("5: The Gray Chapter", 2014) and No.4 ("All Hope is Gone", 2008, but it did score two consecutive weeks at the top) ,while this new album debuted at the top in both America and Canada this past week. After which is the second and final Top 10 debut this week in another U.S. metal act for Killswitch Engage called "Atonement", which by debuting at No.4 becomes their third Top 10 album in Australia and now their highest charted, beating their two previous Top 10 entries "Incarnate" (LP#7, HP-5, mid-March 2016) and "Disarm the Descent" (LP#6, HP-6, early April 2013), and of the bands eight studio albums this is now their sixth to chart in Australia.

Down a place apiece are the Billie Eilish set "When We All Fall Asleep..." and the soundtrack to "A Star is Born" to No.5 and No.6 respectively, while the second and final Top 10 soundtrack this week is for the remake of 'The Lion King', which falls three places to No.9.
