Singles Chartifacts:

Holding for a third consecutive week is Canadian singer and rapper The Weeknd with his track "Blinding Lights", the song also logging a second week at No.1 in Ireland and a first week in the UK.

"Blinding Lights" was the lesser debut of the two Weeknd tracks which entered the charts in early December of 2019, with the higher of the two being "Heartless" (HP-10), which fell out of the chart last week after eight weeks within. The song is his first chart-topper in England and is also spending its third week at No.1 in both Norway and Belgium, while it's sitting at No.2 in Germany (former #1 spot for two weeks), The Netherlands (1 week previously), Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

Reclaiming the No.2 spot for a fifth overall week at that peak is the Dua Lipa track "Don't Start Now", which is up two spots from last week, pushing down the Tones and I track "Dance Monkey" to No.3 which is spending its 31st week inside the Top 10 and is now equal first with "Sunflower" by Post Malone for the 'Longest Running Top 10 Single in Australia'. The song is spending a 21st week at No.1 in Switzerland (it's only current overseas #1 slot), and is at No.7 in the U.S.A. for a fourth broken week too, while the current U.S. (4th week) Canadian (3rd week) and New Zealand (2nd week) No.1 single is the Roddy Ricch track "The Box", which here is back up two places to a new peak of No.4.

The second of three stable Top 10 entries this week is the Eminem and Juice WRLD track "Godzilla" which is on hold at No.5 for a second week, while last weeks surging track for it's JJJ #1 placement and Grammy wins in "Bad Guy" for Billie Eilish is back down three spots to No.6 (25th T10 week; equal 3rd longest running Top 10 single of all time in Australia, tied with "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran), and the third and final stable song is "Circles" for Post Malone at No.7 (23rd T10 week; equal 5th longest running Top 10 of all time in Australia at 23 weeks).

Scoring her sixth Top 10 single (2 as solo artist, 4 as guest vocalist) in Australia this week is Halsey as her latest single "You Should Be Sad" jumps up seven places to a new peak of No.8, followed by the second Top 10 single for Lewis Capaldi with "Before You Go", climbing five spots to a new chart height of No.9, the song recently No.1 in England (last week for 1 week) and Ireland (8 weeks from Dec 2019), while reclaiming a Top 10 placing this week is the Billie Eilish track "everything i wanted" which is up one spot to No.10 and scoring a fifth week inside the Top 10.

UP:
* Harry Styles' "Adore You" single is back up four places to No.14.
* Trevor Daniel rebounds a couple of spots to No.18 with his first entry "Falling".
* Benee's N.Z. Top 10 single "Glitter" is up two places here, to a new peak of No.23.

* U.S. female rapper Doja Cat jumps up only four rungs to a new peak of No.43 with "Say So".
* Local band The Rubens score their third Top 50 single here as their new track "Live in Life" rises seven places to a new peak of No.46.
* After leaving the Top 50 last week the song "The Reaper" for The Chainsmokers and Amy Shark is back up this week five places to No.49.
* SAINt JHN's track "Roses" scored a new remix this week from Imanbek, and the song jumps up eleven places to a new chart height of No.53.
* Endor rises one spot to "Pump it Up" at a new peak of No.54.
* YNW Melly's "Suicidal" track moves up five places to a new peak of No.60.
* The highest of the five returning tracks this week is "Lover" for Taylor Swift at No.65, while she also returns at No.85 with "You Need to Calm Down", both returning alongside her new entry at No.31 from her new documentary "Miss Americana".
* The only new entry from last week not to be a Triple J influenced entry was the second single for Ali Gatie called "What If I Told You That I Love You", which is this week up one spot to No.66.
* Older Billie Eilish tracks to climb this week are "Lovely" (77 to No.71) and "Ocean Eyes" (97 to No.90).

* The two final re-entries this week are "Ransom" for Lil' Tecca at No.98 and "Bandit" by Juice WRLD at #100.

* The Maroon 5 "Memories" fade this week four places to No.17.
* There is a heap of one-place-movements in the chart this week, the next highest drop occurs for the Travis Scott song "Highest in the Room" which is down four to No.34.

* Post Malone drops down with "Sunflower" (41 to No.45) and "Wow" (70 to No.84).

* The "Trampoline" track for SHAED and Zayn jumps down eight places to No.52.
* No "Good News" for Mac Miller this week, as that track falls down thirteen spots to No.55.
* Halsey drops down with "Graveyard" (48 to No.57) and "Without Me" (84 to No.96).
* Last weeks new entries thanks to the Triple J Hottest 100 drop back down this week for Mallrat and "Charlie" (50 to No.68), "Robbery" by Lime Cordiale (63 to No.80) and "Heavy Hearted" for The Jungle Giants (61 to No.86).
* "Exit Sign" by The Hilltop Hoods returned last week thanks the JJJ poll, and this week it falls down sixteen spots to No.75.
* Don Toliver's track "No Idea" plummets twenty-five places to No.83.
* DaBaby's "Bop" track falls thirteen spots to No.94.

NEW ENTRIES:
* #30 - Physical by Dua Lipa is the third song and second official released single from the April 3rd due second album for Dua Lipa called "Future Nostalgia". Previously to this new entry the albums title track was dropped in mid-January, while the first and current chart single from the album "Don't Start Now" is back up to its former peak of No.2 for a fifth overall week at that peak. This is now her thirteenth Top 100 and tenth Top 50 appearance in Australia.

* #31 - Only the Young (from 'Miss Americana') by Taylor Swift is a song written at the time of her penning her latest album "Lover", and is about her disillusionment after the 2018 U.S.A. elections, and is now being used over the end credits of her January 31st Netflix documentary called "Miss Americana", which is a doco which follows the singer over the past few years of her life, including the making of her current album, and this also becomes her 50th Top 50 appearance in Australia (48 as lead, two as guest vocalist).

* #61 - Get Me by Justin Bieber Feat. Kehlani is the third track issued from his fifth studio album "Changes" which will drop next week, February 14th, and features his recent No.4 single "Yummy" as well as the already issued song "Intentions". This is now his 61st Top 100 appearance in Australia since he first charted in 2009 with "One Time" (HP-23).

* #67 - Sunday Best by Surfaces are a Texas duo of Forrest Frank and Colin Padalecki who formed in 2017 and issued their debut album "Surf" that same year, their style is in the form of laid-back feel-good music like Sugar Ray or Rex Orange County. This track is taken from their second album "Where the Light is" which came out in late 2019, and their just issued latest single is called "Lazy".

* #72 - Laying Low by ChillinIT is the second entry for the local rapper born Blake James Turnell in Sydney Australia, whose second album "The Octagon" debuts at No.2 this week, while his previous chart entry was with "Freedom" (HP-87) which charted in late August of 2019, thus making this his highest charted entry now.

* #76 - Diva by The Kid LAROI Feat. Lil' Tecca is the first entry for another local hip-hop artist from Sydney, born Charlton Howard in 2003, the rapper, singer and songwriter broke out in 2018 when he won the Triple J Unearthed competition after which he signed with Columbia Records and last year his track "Let Her Go" cracked over 5 million YouTube views.

* #82 - Maniac by Conan Gray is the first entry here for the Lemon Grove, California native who issued his debut EP "Sunset Season" in 2018 before touring in early 2019 as a support act for Panic! At the Disco, while he is set to issue his debut album "Kid Krow" in mid-March (20th), with this track his ninth single to be released, and it has so far reached No.30 in New Zealand.

* #87 - High Fashion by Roddy Ricch Feat. Mustard is now the second entry for the U.S. rapper whose album "Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial" has just gone back to No.1 in the U.S.A. Album charts for a third non-consecutive week this past week, while he is currently sitting at No.4 nationally with his first entry "The Box".

* #92 - Wake Up Call by KSI Feat. Trippie Redd becomes the second overall entry for the UK rapper, YouTube personality and singer who previously charted with "Keep Up" (HP-78, peaked mid-January of 2016, charted for one week only), with this new song so far peaking at No.11 in his home country of England.

Albums Chartifacts:

Local Australian rock band Dune Rats see their third studio album called "Hurry Up and Wait" becomes their second successive No.1 album, as it debuts at the top of the ARIA Albums chart this week.

"Hurry Up and Wait" (Ratbag Records/BMG via Warner) for Dune Rats becomes the 867th No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2020), the 717th for ARIA (1983 to 2020), the 506th to debut at No.1 (1976 to 2020) and the second for the bands label Ratbag Records and their second also, as this week three years ago (13th of Feb., 2017) they debuted at No.1 with their second album "The Kids Will Know it's Bullshit" (1 week only).

This is the first time that both of the words 'Hurry' and 'Wait' have appeared in a No.1 album title, while it's the third for an 'Up' after "Waking Up the Neighbours" for Bryan Adams (4 weeks from 20th of Oct., 1991), "Up" for Shania Twain (1 week on 25th of Nov., 2002) and the last was for One Direction with "Up All Night" (5 weeks from 9th of April, 2012), meaning that one 'Up' has been at No.1 for the past four decades, 1990's, 2000's, 2010's and now the 2020's.

The new No.1 album for local act Dune Rats is now the 237th chart-topping album for an Aussie act (solo, duo, group, male or female) and the first for this year and decade, with the last local act being only seven weeks ago for Cold Chisel (16th of Dec., 2019). Plus this is also the 382nd No.1 album for a group, whether local or overseas, and again the first for a group since Cold Chisel last mid-December. It's also the bands third overall chart entry as their self-titled debut set made it to No.22 in 2014.

It's a 1-2 debut for local Australian acts at the top of the charts this week, as Sydney rapper born Blake James Turnell sees his second album, under his moniker ChillinIT, called "The Octagon" enter at No.2, which in turn becomes his first Top 10 placing as his debut set "Women, Weed & Wordplay" managed to climb to a peak of No.18 and is this week sitting at No.79 in its 56th week within the Top 100.

Eminem's "Music to Be Murdered By" is down one spot to No.3 this week, while it holds for a second week at the top in Canada, with last weeks Grammy-winning Album of 2019 in the Billie Eilish debut set "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go" is this week down three places to land at No.4 after a single week back at the top of the charts last week.

Harry Styles' "Fine Line" set drops down two places to No.5, while his former One Direction band mate Louis Tomlinson sees his debut solo album called "Walls" come in at No.6 this week, becoming the fourth of the five members to land a Top 10 album with their first post-band release, unfortunately Liam Payne's "LP#1" which came out late last year is the only one from the band to NOT land a Top 10 entry for their album, his set debuted and peaked at No.50.

Thanks to a new documentary called "Miss Americana" being issued on Netflix at the end of January, the latest Taylor Swift album (which the doco focuses on her recording of) "Lover" jumps back up eight places to No.7 for a sixteenth week within the Top 10, after which are dropping albums in "Hollywood's Bleeding" for Post Malone (6 to No.8), "Manic" by Halsey (5 to No.9) and the Ed Sheeran duets set "No.6 Collaborations Project" (7 to No.10).

UP:
* With a second Top 10 single from the album occurring this week, the Lewis Capaldi debut album "Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent" is back up one spot to No.15.
* James Blunt was in the country for a quick promo tour this past week, talking about his November 2020 national tour, and this has helped his current album "Once Upon a Mind" to return to the chart this week at No.20.
* After her many Grammy wins last week the Lizzo album "Cuz I Love You" (HP-19) is back up thirteen places to just below her former peak, to No.21.

DOWN:
* There are four albums leaving the Top 10 this week, first of which is the Elton John "Diamonds" collection (HP-3x4, WI10-23a, 4 to No.11, tour finished Jan. 31st) followed by the Tones and I EP "The Kids are Coming" (HP-2, WI10-20a, 10 to No.12) after which is the soundtrack for 'Frozen 2' (HP-2, WI10-8, 9 to No.14), while last weeks highest new entry for the Pet Shop Boys and "Hotspot" (HP-8, WI10-1) is this week biggest plummeting set, down a massive seventy-three places to No.81.

shame Jonas Brothers couldn't be #14 this week, also let Ballin' on the chart pls
And Tell Em I'm Doing Eetswa too.
Here's a question to do with ARIA that got me wondering. Do aria have to pay a fee for licensing or whatever to the record companies to compile the data? ARIA licensed it out to the Australian Music Report in the 80's before taking it in house eventually so that got me thinking.

Any other questions for this week...?

Not unless Vanessa Amorosi, Casey Donovan or Samantha Jade made the top 500. I expect not but thanks anyway.
Hi Bullion. Was wondering if Pearl Jam’s Dance Of The Clairvoyants has made any impact in the top 500 recently and also if any Shakira songs snuck in after Super Bowl performance.
Thanks
Shakira - Hips Don't Lie (#327 streaming)
Shakira - Waka Waka (#355 streaming)
plus Jennifer Lopez - Dance Again... The Hits (#281 on the LP charts)

Nothing at all for the other requests above.
