Singles Chartifacts:

The fourth No.1 single for 2020 remains the same this week as "Rockstar" for DaBaby and Roddy Ricch logs a third week atop the ARIA Singles Chart in Australia, plus it's now Gold (●) in sales.

With "Rockstar" being only the fourth chart topper for the year it breaks a 2000's era record which has held since 2017, in which that year by June had seen only five No.1 singles, and now this year we've broken that record by only having four pinnacled songs for the year so far. In fact the last year to have only four songs at the top up until early June was 1999, and that year's fifth No.1 was until June 14th (second week of June), so unless something overtakes the top spot next week it looks like 2020 will be surpassing that 1999 record too.

The song for DaBaby and Roddy Ricch is also spending a third week at No.1 in New Zealand and it regains the No.1 spot in both England and Ireland for also a third week at the top of their charts. The song in the UK & Ireland dethrones our current No.2 single in "Rain on Me'' for Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, which has this past week debuted at No.1 in both The U.S.A. and Canada. Plus with Lady Gaga's sixth album debuting at the top of the albums charts it helps her to secure the song's high position, plus she also debuts within the Top 10 at No.8 with her albums third released single "Sour Candy" alongside Korean girl group Blackpink, become their third Top 50 entry and now first Top 10 entry, while for Gaga this is now her 15th Top 10 single in Australia too (tying with the 15 racked up by Ariana Grande).

The top six songs are all on hold this week, with former No.1's "Roses" for SAINt JHN and "Blinding Lights" for The Weeknd at No.3 and No.4 respectively (24 weeks within the T10 for The Weeknd track, now the equal 7th longest of all time), followed by Doja Cat with "Say So" at No.5 and the second Ariana Grande Top 10 placing this week in "Stuck With U" alongside Justin Bieber at No.6.

German producer and DJ Topic (real name Tobias Topic) alongside Swedish singer A7S halve their position from last week and jump up seven places to a new peak of No.7 with "Breaking Me", becoming both acts first Top 10 entry in Australia, while the song has so far hit No.1 in Belgium, No.2 in both Hungary and Poland, No.3 in Scotland, The Netherlands and Germany, with Top 5 placings also in Switzerland and England. With the Lady Gaga debut at No.8 it's followed by a couple of two place drops for both "Death Bed" by Powfu and "Savage" for Megan Thee Stallion to No.9 and No.10 respectively.

UP:
* After leaping back into the Top 20 last week the Harry Styles single "Watermelon Sugar" (HP-12) climbs a further three places to No.16.
* Sam Fischer sees his first Top 20 hit in his native Australia this week as his track "This City" moves up four places to a new peak of No.17.
* The Top 50 entry last week for the Chris Brown and Young Thug song "Go Crazy" has done just that this week, by leaping up fourteen spots to land at a new chart height of No.20. It's now Chris' 17th Top 20 single in Australia and his first since two Top 20 entries in 2019 "No Guidance" with Drake (HP-7, late June) and "Don't Check on Me" with Justin Bieber (HP-20, early July).
* Lewis Capaldi scores three Top 50 entries this week (plus his album returns to the Top 10), and his older entries also rise back up, in his most recent Top 10 entry "Before You Go" (26 to No.22, newly 2x▲Platinum), his first entry "Someone You Loved" (31 to No.24, newly 7x▲Platinum) and his lower fifty floater "Bruises" which after 28 weeks in the lower areas of the Top 100 (it had only ever peaked at No.68) it bursts up the chart thirty-seven places to score a new peak of No.46 and is now 2x▲Platinum in sales also.
* Post Malone's only current Top 50 entry in "Circles" is stable at No.27 this week and newly certified 5x▲Platinum in sales.
* StaySolidRocky sees his first entry "Party Girl" move up eight places to a new peak of No.29.
* With the third Kygo album debuting within the Top 10 this week his recent chart entry "Lose Somebody" with OneRepublic gets a boost of twelve places to a new chart height of No.31.
* Turning around and moving back up this week is "Rover (Mu la la)" for S1MBA & DTG (HP-34), back up four spots to No.36.
* With her new album debuting at No.1 for Lady Gaga the albums first release "Stupid Love" rebounds back into the Top 50, up forty places to No.45.

DOWN:
* Two songs leave the Top 10 this week, first is the second departure from the ten for the Benee and Gus Dapperton track "SupaLonely" (HP-8x2, WI10-10) which is down two spots to No.11 and newly certified ▲Platinum (first certification), followed by another newly ▲Platinum track in "Toosie Slide" for Drake (HP-3x5, WI10-8), also down two to No.12 and also it's first cert.
* Both of Dua Lipa's recent Top 10 entries slip down two places apiece in "Don't Start Now" and "Break My Heart" to No.13 and No.14 respectively.
* Justin Bieber's track with Quavo and "Intentions" drops two places to No.15 and is now 2x▲Platinum in sales (also it's first certification).
* After two weeks at No.15 and two weeks at No.16, the Marshmello and Halsey track "Be Kind" drops down five places this week to No.21, while the solo Halsey entry "You Should Be Sad" falls three to No.32.
* "The Scotts" for Travis Scott and Kid Ink tumbles down eight places to No.25.
* Surfaces sees their former No.10 single "Sunday Best" move down two to No.26 and it scores its first sales cert of ▲Platinum this week.
* The Weeknd track "In Your Eyes" falls back down thirteen places this week to No.28.
* Harry Styles' "Adore You" track rings up its half-year on the charts by falling five to No.33.
* The Doja Cat single "Boss B*tch" slides down nine spots this week to No.34.
* There's a fourteen place slump to No.37 for "Gooba" by 6ix9ine.
* The JP Saxe and Julia Michaels duet "If the World Was Ending" drops six places to No.39.
* The final first-new-cert of the week goes to "Blueberry Faygo" for Lil' Mosey, newly ▲Platinum it drops down eight spots to No.40.
* Don Tolliver's "After Party" is reducing it's numbers by moving down six spots this week to No.44.
* The Maroon 5 single "Memories" is newly 4x▲Platinum in sales and down two places to No.48.
* Katy Perry's "Daisies" wilt again this week by slipping down six spots to No.50.

FURTHER NEW ENTRY:
* #8 - Sour Candy by Lady Gaga with Blackpink

* #49 - Ur So F**kInG cOoL by Tones and I is the third new track for 2020 for the Australian artist, who is also charting with her biggest hit "Dance Monkey" (TW-19) and her first entry for this year "Bad Child" (HP-15, TW-38), while her Bad Child b-side in "Can't Be Happy All the Time" made it to No.19 on the digital sales chart and overall this is her seventh entry (5 Top 50, 2 more in the lower fifty).

Albums Chartifacts:

The sixth studio album for American singer Lady Gaga called "Chromatica" debuts at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart this week, becoming her fourth No.1 album in Australia in the process.

"Chromatica" becomes the 882nd No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2020), the 732nd for ARIA (1983 to 2020), the 520th to debut at No.1, the 20th chart-topping album for 2020 and the 34th for the record label Interscope and their fourth for the year after Selena Gomez, Eminem (both in January) and after her Grammy wins Billie Eilish (February).

Lady Gaga first hit No.1 in Australia with her remixed first album "The Fame Monster" (3 weeks from 5th of April, 2010, newly 6x▲Platinum this week), then her second album "Born This Way" debuted at the top for a two week stay from May 30th, 2011 (it was the #1 album this week nine years ago), then she had two No.2 albums in "Artpop" (2013) and "Joanne" (2016), while also recording a duets album with Tony Bennett called "Cheek to Cheek" (HP-7, 2014), plus her last chart entry was for her debut film "A Star is Born" which sat within the Top 50 last week (79 weeks and running) and it logged eleven weeks at No.1 from the 29th of October, 2018 (10 weeks, then one more week on Feb 11th, 2019 after winning a few Oscar's for the film).

So with all of her weeks at No.1, Lady Gaga has amassed seventeen weeks at the top here, moving her up from equal 38th to now 34th on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums' just behind Bon Jovi (17 weeks from 10 #1 LP's) and just ahead of both John Lennon and Kings of Leon (17 weeks from 3 #1 LP's). She also joins 19 other acts who've all had four No.1 albums here, the most recent for 2020 was 5 Seconds of Summer back in early April.

There has never been an album titled "Chromatica" chart in the past, let alone hit No.1, so this is a first for that word at the top. The new No.1 album also becomes the 310th No.1 Album by an American performer (solo, duo or group, male or female) and the sixth for the year after Selena Gomez, Eminem, Billie Eilish, Green Day and the last was Lil' Uzi Vert in mid-March. For solo female artists this is now the 135th to hit No.1 in Australia and the fourth for 2020 after Selena, Billie and Dua Lipa was the last in late April. In terms of Solo Female American singers Lady Gaga is now fourth on the list for 'Most Weeks at No.1: Solo Female American' with the Top 5 now consisting of Pink (43 weeks), Mariah Carey (20 weeks), Madonna (19 weeks), Lady Gaga (17 weeks) and Taylor Swift (16 weeks).

Rising back up one spot to No.2 is the Harry Styles set "Fine Line", which next week will have spent half-a-year within the Top 10, followed by Billie Eilish with "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?", back up two places to No.3 and newly certified 2x▲Platinum in sales. These are followed by the second and third entries within Top 10 this week, coming in at No.4 is the fourth studio album for U.S. country artist Kip Moore called "Wild World", becoming his fourth Top 50 entry (3 albums and 1 EP), his second Top 10 entry here and now his highest charted album locally, as it enters two places higher than his last album from September of 2017 called "Slowheart" (HP-6).

Returning to the charts for the first time in almost nine years is the third studio album for Cold Chisel called "East", which is celebrating its 40th anniversary of release this past week by returning to the charts at No.5, it's first Top 10 placing since early December of 1980, having originally spent eight broken weeks at a peak of No.2 (six weeks and then another two) and 23 weeks within the Top 10, it now lands its 24th week inside the ten, with it last charting in late July of 2011 hitting No.19 (in early August).

After this are three albums holding steady this week, starting with Dua Lipa and "Future Nostalgia" at No.6, The Weeknd with "After Hours" at No.7 and Post Malone logs a 32nd week within the Top 10 with his set "Hollywood's Bleeding" at No.8, with the album picking up a ▲Platinum sales certification too. Norwegian producer, songwriter and DJ called Kygo sees his third album called "Golden Hour" debut at No.9 this week to become the fourth and final Top 10 entry of the week (and Top 50 entry too). It's also his third Top 50 placing, with his two previous entries being for the albums "Cloud Nine" (HP-13, 2016) and "Kids in Love" (HP-42, 2017). There have already been six singles charting here from the album, the biggest of which was the No.20 2019 single "Higher Love" with Whitney Houston and he is currently charting with "Lose Somebody" alongside OneRepublic which hits a new peak of No.31 this week.

The Lewis Capaldi debut album "Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent" jumps back up eight places to land at No.10, becoming it's third overall week within the Top 10 (#10 upon debut in late May 2019 and No.7 in January 2020), with the set newly certified Gold (●) in sales, and it also has three Top 50 singles from the album as of this week.

UP:
* The first of two of last week's new entries to climb this week is the double EP set for Benee called "Fire on Marzz"/"Stella & Steve", which climbs two places to a new peak of No.19.
* The Seekers new collection "Hidden Treasures Vol.1" leaps up eighteen places to a new peak this week of No.21.
* The two older Post Malone albums are back up this week in "Beerbongs & Bentley's" climbing four spots to No.23 and his first set "Stoney" is back up eight places No.47.
* With a new Top 50 singles chart entry this week for Tones and I her 2019 EP "The Kids are Coming" is back up nine spots to No.26.
* Halsey might have two falling singles within the Top 50 this week, but her latest album "Manic" climbs back up four spots to No.27.
* Climbing best of sets this week are for Cold Chisel (41 to No.28), Eminem (38 to No.30, newly 12x▲Platinum in sales {up from 6xP previously}), INXS (43 to No.33) and Paul Kelly (56 to No.49).
* Dean Lewis' "A Place We Knew" is back up three spots to No.37.
* In the lower fifty albums last week Powderfinger returned to the charts with two of their best of sets at No.67 and No.87, thanks to their recent online concert called "One Night Lonely", and that has also helped their first No.1 album from 1998 called "Internationalist" (peaked Sept. 1998 upon debut) to return to the Top 50 this week at No.40.
* The recent No.1 set for Birds of Tokyo called "Human Design" is back up eight places to No.41.
* Right after which LAUV sees his set "~How I'm Feeling~" rise back up five spots to No.42.
* Niall Horan just issued a new single called "Black & White" from his album "Heartbreak Weather" and that helps the set to rise back up six places to No.46.

DOWN:
* Five albums leave the Top 10 this week, most notably are last weeks top two entries which plummet into the lower depths of the Top 100, in "Notes on a Conditional Form" for The 1975 (HP-1, WI10-1) and "D-2 (mixtape) for Agust D (HP-2, WI10-1), while last weeks other Top 10 debut in "Dissimulation" for KSI (HP-4, WI10-1) tumbles down thirty-one spots to land at No.35. The two other departing albums are less dramatic in the Luke Combs second album "What You See is What You Get" (HP-1x1, WI10-7a) down two to No.11 and "Diamonds" for Elton John (HP-3x5, WI10-32), whilst the set also racks up it's overall second year within the Top 100 (104 weeks, 2 years).
* After climbing back up over the past few weeks the Taylor Swift "Lover" album is this week down three places to No.15.
* The next big tumble comes from the No.1 album from three weeks ago for The Teskey Brothers and "Live at The Forum", which drops down twenty places to No.31.
* The soundtracks to drop this week are for 'Frozen 2' (29 to No.34) and to a larger extent the Queen biopic set 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (28 to No.43).
* After over two years of charting (it's at 116 weeks as of this week) the XXXTentacion album "?" is down one spot and newly certified as ▲Platinum in sales.
* Eminem's best of might have jumped, but his most recent set "Music to Be Murdered by" is down five places to No.39.
* Doja Cat sees an eight place drop to No.50 this week with her "Hot Pink" set.

Top 50 dropouts:

LWArtist - Title
47Future (feat Drake) - Life Is Good
48Billie Eilish - Bad Guy
49Juice WRLD - Righteous
50Meduza - Lose Control
Apologies/let me know if I missed any certs, there were a lot

I think this week is the first time the top 2 albums from last week both drop out of the top 50.
Just days after I said Universal were very slow with accreditations updates, this week's chart is full of them lol.
you got them all Hijinx, UMA has been busy this week haven't they.

Over on the albums charts there are six new UMA certs too, Billie Eilish LP, Post Malone #3, Lewis Capaldi, Xxxt ? and Eminem's Curtain Call which goes from 6xP to now 12xPlatinum in sales.

I've updated this info at the top of the page too.

*amended the INXS info.

Ouch at the debut for Tones & I but it leaves potential for it to climb up the chart in the coming weeks. Also the things you miss from not seeing the lower 50,i thought the lewis capaldi song was new when i saw it top the itunes chart this week so was surprised to see it's been charting for 7 months prior to this week.
If I'm not wrong, INXS' Very Best was certified 6x Platinum in 2016.

Other new certs this week on the various genre charts:

LIFE IS GOOD Future Feat. Drake▲
GODZILLA Eminem Feat. Juice WRLD▲
THE REAPER The Chainsmokers Feat. Amy Shark▲
PIECE OF YOUR HEART MEDUZA Feat. Goodboys▲5

GOODBYE & GOOD RIDDANCE Juice WRLD ●
DIRECT HITS The Killers ●
GOOD KID, MAAD CITY Kendrick Lamar▲
STARBOY The Weeknd▲
THE FAME Lady Gaga▲6

surprised Kendrick is only 1xPlatinum, I know sales are low but GKMC has been making steady progress for 7 years straight.
Kendrick must be closer to 2xP than 1xP. Damn. Hasn't been recertified this week even though it should clearly be 1xP.
chartifacts updated for this week.

Plus I added the extra certs from I.E. and took out the INXS one.
We're in june and have had 4 different number 1 singles so far this year. How many did we have at the same time last year?
wtf @ Starboy?

EDIT: oh it's the album not the single lmao

Jesse '77, we were stuck back on the seventh #1 for 2019 this time last year with "Old Town Road" (7 of 13 weeks), and then there were only three more #1's for the rest of the year (two new ones, and an older Mariah track at EOY)
Thank you bullion boy, stuck was the operative word back then with OTR
Who was certified as 6x P in Australia: 'The Fame' or 'The Fame Monster'? If anyone can answer me, I would be grateful, thank you.
it's The Fame. What it actually means for it is a bit weird because ever since streaming has been in the album chart, TF/TFM have had an uneven relationship and I'm not sure ARIA is 'accurately' distributing their streams.

So i believe the article got mixed up saying it was TFM being certified as 6x P, right? The Fame and The Fame Monster were certified separately in the past, since they chartered individually in Australia, so this update on The Fame's sales (6x P, up from 4x P) doesn't include sales of The Fame Monster (3x P), correct?
When Hijinx is running ARIA, then the charts will make sense again. So how long do we gotta wait
The new cert for The Fame does not include sales of The Fame Monster.

If ARIA is ever hiring chart auditing I would happily apply
lower entries added, plus a heap of extra certs too.
Bulion, do you have Chromatica's sales debut, or at least an estimate of them? Thank you.
check your memo Adelita for an answer.
