New Zealand producer and rapper Jawsh 685 alongside Jason DeRulo maintain their No.1 position this week for a second stay at the summit of the ARIA Charts with their mash-up single "Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)".

The song is also on hold at the top in Jawsh's native N.Z. for a third week and a second week in England, as well as topping in the charts so far in Norway, Sweden (2 weeks apiece) and Austria, while it's also sitting this week at No.2 in The Netherlands, Finland, Ireland, Switzerland and Belgium.

With only one other New Zealand act having hit the top in Australia this century, this current N.Z. No.1 is now the longest running chart-topper this century for an act from the land of the long white cloud, beating the single week achieved by Evermore on January 22nd, 2007 with "Light Surrounding You". And the second week at the top for "Savage Love" also becomes the equal longest running No.1 song for Jason DeRulo, as his first chart-topping song here was "In My Head" for two weeks from February 22nd, 2010, and his two further No.1 songs in "Talk Dirty" (Aug 2013) and "Trumpets" (Dec 2013) both only spent a single week at the summit of the chart here.

No songs enter or leave the Top 10 this week, and eight of the Top 10 tracks are on hold too, so after the current No.1 song we have two former chart-topping songs in "Rockstar" at No.2 (#1 in Ireland for an 8th week and the U.S.A. for a 5th week) and "Roses" for SAINt JHN at No.3 (#1 in Canada for a 5th week), while holding their peaks again this week are Topic with "Breaking Me" and Harry Styles with "Watermelon Sugar" at No.4 and No.5 respectively.

The Weeknd's long running No.1 single "Blinding Lights" is at No.6 again, logging a 29th week within the Top 10, which makes it now the equal third longest running Top 10 entry in Australia of all time, tying with the earlier 2020 29 weeker "Don't Start Now" for Dua Lipa. "Rain on Me" for Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande is stable at No.7, followed by the only two moving songs within the ten in "What's Poppin'" for Jack Harlow up one spot to a new peak of No.8, swapping places with "Rover (Mu la la)" for S1MBA and DTG, down a spot to No.9, after which the Chris Brown and Young Thug entry "Go Crazy" holds the No.10 spot again this week.

UP:
After leaving the Top 10 last week the Benee track "SupaLonely" is back up two spots to No.11, with other rising Top 20 entries being for "Break My Heart" (15 to No.13) and "Don't Start Now" both by Dua Lipa (17 to No.16), "Death Bed" by Powfu (16 to No.15 and now 2x▲Platinum). Thanks to new remixes the Marshmello and Halsey track "Be Kind" (HP-15) is back up three to No.17, "Dance Monkey" for Tones and I is back up five spots to No.19 and the newer entry for Nea and "Some Say" leaps up thirteen places to land at a new peak of No.20.
Brando climbs again within the Top 30 with his first entry "Look Into My Eyes", up three to a new chart height of No.24, while the song is newly Gold (●) in sales, followed by two cover songs rising back up one spot in "ily" for Surf Mesa and "Pump it Up" for Endor to No.28 and No.30 respectively.
The second entry for Regard and "Secrets" with RAYE rebounds two places this week to re-peak at No.33 for a second week, with the next new peak occurring for The Hilltop Hoods latest entry "All Good?", up one spot to a new peak of No.45, while another local act in Amy Shark sees her new single "Everybody Rise" leap up forty-one spots to land within the Top 50 at a new peak of No.49, thanks to her mentoring on The Voice this past week.

DOWN:
There are no songs leaving the Top 10 this week, and only one track which dips within the Top 20 as "Stuck with U" for Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber is down one spot to No.12, while JB's "Intentions" track is on hold at No.18 this week. After three weeks at a peak of No.19 the song "Party Girl" for StaySolidRocky is down three places to No.22, but newly certified Gold (●) in sales with the fourth and final Top 50 cert this week going to the Doja Cat song "Say So", down two places to No.27 and now 3x▲Platinum.
Post Malone's "Circles" twirl down four places to No.34, last week's new entries drop down into the Top 30 with Guy Sebastian's "Standing With You" falling twelve to No.35 and the highest entry in the BLACKpink song "How You Like That" tumbles twenty-eight spots to No.40. In between those two falls is The Kid Laroi with Juice WRLD track "Go", which is down four places to No.36. With the new Regard song rising again his first entry "Ride it" travels down eight places to No.42, while Halsey's "You Should Be Sad" declines five to No.43.Two tracks falling four spots apiece are "In Your Eyes" for The Weeknd and "Live in Life" for The Rubens to No.44 and No.46 respectively.

NEW ENTRIES:
* #25 - The Woo by Pop Smoke feat. 50 Cent & Roddy Ricch {contains a sample of "Candy Shop" by 50 Cent}
* #32 - For the Night by Pop Smoke feat. Lil' Baby & DaBaby
* #48 - Dior by Pop Smoke {Gold (●)} are all taken from the debut and posthumous album for New York rapper born Bashar Barakah Jackson, and who was killed in a home invasion in February of this year (in Los Angeles). "Dior" was first issued as a single earlier in 2020 and was first heard on his debut mixtape "Meet the Woo" as well as appearing on his new album which is No.1 here this week. With his passing in February, his mentor 50 Cent took over the finalizing of his album and called in a heap of rappers to help finish the set.

* #31 - Wash us in the Blood by Kanye West feat. Travis Scott is the lead single from the November due tenth studio album for Kanye called "God's Country", and is a song in response to the recent protests around the world (but mostly America) for the movement Black Lives Matter, and this new entry becomes the 44th Top 50 entry for him (34 as lead, ten as guest) and is his first entry here since a slew of tracks from his "Jesus is King" album entered in November of 2019 including the songs "Closed on Sunday" (HP-19), "Selah" (HP-18), "Oh God" (HP-21) and "Follow God" (HP-7).

Albums Chartifacts:

The debut and posthumous album for American rapper Pop Smoke is the new No.1 album on the ARIA Charts, called "Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon".

"Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon" becomes the 885th No.1 album in Australia (1965 to 2020), the 735th for ARIA (1983 to 2020), the 523rd to debut at No.1 (1976 to 2020), the 23rd No.1 album of the year (2020) and the 14th for the record label Republic and their third for the year after The Weeknd (March) and Drake (May). The album has also landed first week at the top in New Zealand, Ireland, Norway and The Netherlands (so far).

Pop Smoke (born Bashar Barakah Jackson) was born in New York in July 1999 and was killed in a home invasion in Los Angeles in February of 2020, and he had issued two mixtapes while he was alive, the second of which "Meet the Woo 2" is up to a new peak of No.24 this week (seven weeks charting so far), and the new No.1 album was finished by his mentor 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) along with a slew of famous rappers like Lil' Baby, DaBaby, Quavo, Swae lee, Future, Roddy Ricch, Tyga, Lil' Tjay and 50 Cent himself, with three tracks landing within the Top 50 singles this week also.

This is the third time that the word 'Shoot' has appeared in an album title, the first was Elton John's "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player" (April 1973, 3 weeks) and the last was the Motor Ace album "Shoot This" (August 2002, 1 week), the sixth title with the word 'Stars', the last being the Bruce Springsteen set "Western Stars" (1 week on 24th of June, 2019), the first time for the word 'Aim' and the fourth for a 'Moon' rising at the top of the charts, with "Blood Moon" for Cold Chisel the last celestial event at No.1 here back on December 16th, 2019 (1 week stay).

The new No.1 album also becomes the 311th by an American Performer (solo, duo, group, male or female) and the 251st by a Solo Male Artist (local or overseas). Pop Smoke became the 158th American act to hit the top here and also the 51st Solo Male Artist from The U.S.A. to make it to No.1 in Australia. Plus this is the sixth Solo Male Artist to make it to the top this year after Harry Styles, Eminem (both in January), Lil' Uzi Vert, The Weeknd (both in March) and Drake (May).

Coming in at No.2 is the fourth live album for local psychedelic-rock outfit King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard who enter with "Chunky Shrapnel", and by coming in at No.2 it becomes their highest placed Live album of the four that have charted so far, as back in January they charted with three live sets, the highest of which was the No.6 peaking "Live in Adelaide '19". Overall this is the band's tenth Top 10 album locally and their 19th Top 100 entry overall, plus their third No.2 album after "Flying Microtonal Banana" (March 2017) and "Infest the Rats' Nest" (Sept 2019), all of which are their highest charted.

After two weeks at No.2 the latest Bob Dylan album "Rough and Rowdy Ways" is down one spot to No.3 and logging a third week within the Top 10, this is his slowest declining album since "Modern Times" in September 2006 spent four weeks within the Top 10 (1-4-5-9), which became his longest running Top 10 album since 1983's "Infidels" (HP-6, 5 weeks within the Top 10). Harry Styles' second album "Fine Line" is down one spot to No.4 with his 30 week running Top 10 album, followed by last weeks No.1 set "Music from the Home Front" which after two weeks at the top is down four places to No.5, becoming the longest running compilation album since 2000's Olympics set (3 weeks). Billie Eilish and her debut album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go" is also down one spot to No.6.

The soundtrack to the historical stage musical "Hamilton" sees its 2016 score return to the chart at a new peak of No.7 this week thanks to the staged, live recorded and screened version of the play to streaming services this past week (Disney+), and so by returning at No.7 it lands its first week within the Top 10 and has surpassed the No.42 peak the album achieved back in June of 2016. This is followed by the Lady Gaga album "Chromatica" down two to No.8, and after ten weeks at No.8 the Post Malone set "Hollywood's Bleeding" is down one spot to No.9 and logging its 37th week within the Top 10, beating his previous albums 36 weeks for "Beerbong's & Bentley's" (TW-23), and holding onto the No.10 spot is the Dua Lipa set "Future Nostalgia".

UP:
The albums from 10 to No.17 are all on hold this week, of note though is the one-year anniversary (52 weeks) of the fourth Ed Sheeran album "No.6 Collaborations Project" at No.14. Lewis Capaldi is back up one spot to No.18 with his debut album, followed by a set which debuted at No.1 on the 24th of April this year and then the following week fell out of the Top 100 in The Smith Street Band and "Don't Waste Your Anger"; and now this week it makes a grand return by re-entering at No.19 thanks to a physical vinyl release of the album. Also jumping back up into the Top 20 is the Dean Lewis set "A Place We Knew" (39 to No.20).
With his posthumous debut album entering at No.1 this week the seven week old mixtape for Pop Smoke called "Meet the Woo 2" jumps up nine spots to a new peak of No.24. The Vika & Linda best of set "Akilotoa (Anthology 1994-2006)" fell forty places last week to No.50, and now this week it rebounds twenty-one spots to No.29 with other rising collections being for Eminem (45 to No.37) and INXS (42 to No.41).
Three soundtracks rising this week are for 'Frozen 2' (38 to No.30), 'The Greatest Showman' (47 to No.33), and last weeks lower fifty entry for the Will Ferrell & Rachel McAdams homeage film "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga", which jumps up eleven spots to No.44. The debut EP for Billie Eilish in "Don't Smile at Me" is back up fourteen to No.34. Post Malone's first album "Stoney" rebounds six spots to No.43, thanks to a physical release the Neil Young album "Homegrown" (HP-17) rebounds fifty-one spots to No.45 and also rising back up into the Top 50 are Juice WRLD with "Goodbye & Good Riddance" (56 to No.45), "The Kids are Coming" EP for Tones and I (53 to No.47) and "Free Spirit" for Khalid (57 to No.48).

DOWN:
Leaving the Top 10 this week are three albums, starting with the biggest drop into the lower fifty for the highest entry from last week "Mordechai" for Khruangbin (HP-4, WI10-1), as well as the other new entry from last week for HAIM and "Women in Music Pt.III" (7 to No.35, WI10-1) and after two weeks the Ocean Alley set "Lonely Diamond" (HP-3, WI10-2) is down twelve spots to No.21.
BTS see their latest album "Map of the Soul: 7" drop down one spot to No.22, and during the upcoming week they are issuing an expanded edition of the album, so it might rebound next week (or be classed as a new entry), the XXXTentation album "?" drops three to No.27, Halsey's "Manic" set dips five to No.31, falling collections are for Cold Chisel (32 to No.36), Maroon 5 (28 to No.38) and Queen (35 to No.49), and finally the Eminem set "Music to Be Murdered by" drops six places to No.50.

NEW ENTRIES:
* #1 (LP#1) - Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon by Pop Smoke

* #2 (Live#4) - Chunky Shrapnel by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

* #7 (re-entry) - Hamilton - An American Musical, Broadway Cast Recording

NO FURTHER NEW ALBUMS ENTRIES THIS WEEK.

Safe to say there should be a rise from amy shark next week as she's a mentor on the voice. The Veronicas will probably debut next week as well (if they didn't this week)
chartifacts updated for this week.
Old Town Road has also gone 12x Platinum on the Urban Chart.
With the current state the chart is in I have no doubt a solution is being sourced to remedy the situation.
It's as I've previously mentioned. The same sale being counted over and over.

What I've previously discussed with someone is that after a certain quantity of streams from a particular account for a certain song the account should purchase the song automatically. Meaning that future streams don't count towards the chart. Also this song purchase should have 100% of the profit of that singular sale.
Of course Streaming Accounts identification would require review and the actual streaming number i didn't come up with.

Usually i do agree with you nate but morally you can't do that streaming idea. Other than that you're not making much sense to me with your point. The top 7 songs all being non movers does kinda suggest something of a problem. I will say you are more of an optimist than me thinking that a solution to as you call it the state of the current chart being sourced. I don't think that will happen..record companies don't see things as being broke,so why would they or ARIA want to fix it.
It’s a suggestion, you can also do anything with terms & conditions.
I think the problem is bigger than ARIA and one mans idea.
There’s always a different way of consumption so I’m thinking ahead.
I wonder how many Juice WRLD songs will chart next week
lower entries updated for this week, with a heap more Pop Smoke tracks and two other non-pop-tracks, plus Willie Nelson charts with his 70th album and Paul Weller with his 15th solo release. Plus the one more new cert already mentioned.
