Singles Chartifacts:

The smash single for Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion called "WAP" retains the Australian No.1 Singles spot for a fifth week.

"WAP" is also No.1 again in New Zealand for a fifth week, while it logs a fourth week in Canada, a third week in England and returns for a second week at the summit in the U.S.A.. The last female led rap single to hold this long was the Salt-N-Pepa No.1 song "Let's Talk About Sex" which logged four weeks at the top from January 26th, 1992, making this current No.1 the longest run for a female rap song.

The new No.1 single in both Germany and Ireland this week is sitting at No.2 here for a third consecutive week in the second entry for 24KGOLDN called "Mood", after which is a new peak at No.3 for the Joel Corry and MNEK track "Head & Heart", up one spot, and in turn it becomes the second track to peak at No.3 for MNEK after his guest appearance on the Zara Larsson track "Never Forget You" from late 2015.

Joel Corry's climb is actually a swap with last week's No.3 single and former No.1 "Savage Love" for Jawsh 685 and Jason DeRulo which is down one spot to No.4, followed by the third and final stable track within the Top 10 this week in "Breaking Me" for Topic at No.5. Back up one spot apiece are "Watermelon Sugar" for Harry Styles, "Rockstar" for DaBaby and Roddy Ricch (cracking 20 weeks within the Top 10 this week) plus "Laugh Now Cry Later" by Drake and Lil' Durk to No.6, No.7 and No.8 respectively. These three tracks rise due to a three place drop to No.9 for the Pop Smoke track "Mood Swings", while back up one spot to No.10 for a 25th week inside the ten is the SAINt JHN track "Roses", becoming now the equal seventh longest running Top 10 track of all time in Australia.

UP:
Tate McRae continues her climb up the charts with her first entry "You Broke Me First", which this week rises three spots to a new peak of No.12, followed by a massive thirty-four place leap to No.13 for the Internet Money track "Lemonade". Two further new peaks within the Top 20 occur for Jason DeRulo's latest single "Take You Dancing" jumping up seven spots to No.15 and Pop Smoke with Lil' Baby and DaBaby has a four place climb to No.16 with "For the Night".
Sia's track "Together" was performed on the Masked Singer Finale this past week by the whole cast, and the track is now up three spots to a new peak of No.27, followed by another three place climber in "Ain't it Different" for Headie One, which also lands a new chart height at No.28. Amy Shark's latest entry called "Everybody Rise" previously peaked at No.32, and this week it rises back up four spots to land at a new peak of No.31, while Ava Max just issued her new album "Heaven & Hell" on Friday and the current single from the album in "Kings & Queens" leaps up eleven spots to secure a new peak of No.33. The final new peak within the Top 50 this week is for the Machine Gun Kelly track with blackbear called "My Ex's Best Friend" which rises twelve places from last week to land at a new chart height of No.41, becoming his third Top 50 placing locally.

DOWN:
One song leaves the Top 10 this week and that's the first new No.1 single for 2020 for The Weeknd called "Blinding Lights" which is down one spot to No.11, and after 36 weeks within the Top 10 it still holds the record for the second longest running Top 10 of all time in Australia. After two weeks at No.1 in America the BTS track "Dynamite" is down to No.2 over there; here their No.2 entry drops five places to No.17.
Conan Grey leapt to No.13 last week with his track "Heather", which falls back down eight spots this week to No.21. And while Juice WRLD's "Come & Go" is stable at No.14 this week he does drop down with his two other Top 50 entries in "Smile" (25 to No.32) and "Wishing Well" (32 to No.38). The BLACKpink and Selena Gomez track "Ice Cream" takes a fourteen place slump to No.40 this week, the Marshmello and Halsey track "Be Kind" drops five to No.43. Saweetie's "Tap In" track drops back ten places to No.47 and the three week old entry for Calvin Harris and The Weeknd called "Over Now" falls seven places this week to land at No.50.

NEW ENTRY:
* #48 - OK Not to Be OK by Marshmello feat. Demi Lovato (Joytime Collective) becomes the twelfth Top 100 and eleventh Top 50 entry for the mystery DJ from the U.S.A. and his third entry for 2020 after "Be Kind" (TW-43) and on the Juice WRLD track "Come & Go" (TW-14), while he also has a new album due out soon called "Joytime IV". For Demi this is her 14th Top 50 placing and her sixth as a guest artist plus her second entry for 2020 as she teamed with Sam Smith for "I'm Ready" (HP-25, late April 2020).

Albums Chartifacts:

The eleventh studio album for American goth-metal act Marilyn Manson called "We Are Chaos" is the new No.1 album in Australia this week, becoming his second here overall.

"We Are Chaos" becomes the 891st No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2020), the 741st for ARIA (1983 to 2020), the 528th to debut at No.1 (since the first in 1976), the 29th No.1 album for the year and also the first for the record label Loma Vista through Concord/Caroline and Universal.

It's been 21 years and 51 weeks since Marilyn Manson was last at No.1 in Australia, as their third album "Mechanical Animals" spent a week at the top on the 27th of September, 1998 (almost 22 years exactly) but this is not the widest gap between No.1's, Bob Dylan had a 26 year and eleven month gap between October 1979 (Slow Train Coming) and September 2006 (Modern Times). This is also the second 'We Are' titled album at No.1, as Slipknot back in August of 2019 went to the top with "We Are Not Your Kind" for one week, while it's the first time that the word 'Chaos' has appeared in a No.1 album title.

This new No.1 album by M.M. is also the 316th by an American Act to hit the top here (solo, duo, group, male or female) and the 395th by a Group (local or overseas), while for 2020 its the fourth by a group from America. For Marilyn Manson this new entry also becomes their seventh Top 10 placing and their first since their tenth set "Heaven Upside Down" (October 2017, HP-4).

The sister duo of Vika and Linda Bull land their second top two album for 2020 this week as their girls' sixth studio album and first in fourteen years called "Sunday (The Gospel According to Iso)" comes in at No.2 this week, as back on the June 19th, 2020 chart they debuted at the top with their first anthology album "Akilotoa (1994-2006)", and this new entry now becomes their third Top 10 album locally. During this years lockdown's the pair have been doing online weekly/Sunday gospel songs via social media, and this resulted in the album of 13 tracks being issued, with songs such as "Amazing Grace", "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Sinnerman" among them.

Taylor Swift is back up one spot to No.3 with her "folklore" album, while the current New Zealand and Canadian (both six weeks) No.1 album for Pop Smoke "Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon" is here back up two places to No.4, followed by a stable No.5 for Juice WRLD and "Legends Never Die". On Thursday night Harry Styles announced he has had to cancel his November 2020 tour of Australia, so this weeks rise of four places to No.6 for his second album "Fine Line" could see it next week leave the Top 10 after 40 weeks (I think his pending tour could've kept the album higher, and the disappointed fans might revolt and drop the album down the charts; we'll see next week I guess).

After one week out of the ten, this week sees the return to the Top 10 and up four places to No.7 for the Billie Eilish set "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" for a 74th week inside the ten, while last weeks return to No.1 for the compilation set "Music from the Home Front" drops down seven places to land at No.8 this week. Katy Perry's "Smile" is down two places to No.9 and descending eight spots to No.10 after re-entering at No.2 last week is the Powderfinger album "Odyssey No.5 (20th Ann.Ed.)".

UP:
Luke Combs is sitting just outside of the Top 10 with his two albums this week, with his second set and first No.1 album "What You See is What You Get" up two to No.11 and his first album "This One's for You" rising three to No.12. Ed Sheeran also has two albums within the Top 20 again, his third set Divide is up five to No.13 and his fourth album "No.6 Collaborations Project" is back up five to No.20.
Post Malone rebounds four spots to No.16 with "Hollywood's Bleeding", while he's also back up with "Beerbong's & Bentley's" (33 to No.27) and his first album "Stoney" (55 to No.48). Dua Lipa's second album was recently issued as a remix/DJ set, and it's back up six to No.18 while her self-titled set rises back up seven to No.37.
Older Taylor Swift albums rising are for "Lover" (26 to No.22) and "1989" (35 to No.32), after which rises occur for Lime Cordiale with "14 Steps to a Better You" (27 to No.23), 'The Greatest Showman' (31 to No.24), the Lewis Capaldi album (29 to No.25), "Astroworld" by Travis Scott (37 to No.26), "?" by XXXTentacion (38 to No.28) and the Spacey Jane set "Sunlight" (42 to No.33).
Polo G and his set "The Goat" rises back up five to No.36, the self-titled Harry Styles album is up nine spots to No.38, Lady Gaga's "Chromatica" rises five to No.41, Drake's "Scorpion" scuttle's back up ten spots to No.44 and Jason DeRulo's collection "Platinum Hits" is back up seven spots to a new peak of No.45.

DOWN:
Three albums leave the Top 10 this week, all of them new entries from last week, starting with the San Cisco set "Between You and Me" (HP-3, WI10-1) down sixteen spots to No.19, after which the0 "Slim and I" soundtrack for Slim Dusty (HP-8, WI10-1) plummets thirty-four places to land at No.42, while the Wil Wagner set "Spiralling" (HP-9, WI10-1) leaves the Top 50 this week.
The Weeknd slides down fourteen places to No.30 with his set "After Hours", while The Killers set "Imploding the Mirage" declines fourteen places to No.35. Further albums dropping out the Top 50 this week into the lower fifty were new entries from last week for The Rolling Stones (#17), Big Sean (#22, the U.S. No.1 album this week), Rex Orange County (#28) and 6ix9ine (#39).

FURTHER NEW ENTRY:
* #1 (LP#11) - We are Chaos by Marilyn Manson (Loma Vista/Concord)

* #2 (LP#6) - Sunday (The Gospel According to Iso) by Vika & Linda (Bloodlines)

* #40 (LP#2) - Two Kids and a Radio by Melody Moko (Melody Moko/MGM) is the second album and first chart entry for the local singer/songwriter born and raised in Adelaide, who has also lived in QLD and NSW and toured America in 2019 with Catherine Britt. Her first set from 2017 was called "The Wreckage".

Now we just need to get Keith Urban to change his name to Keith Hip Hop/R&B

tinascousin, this link *may* be updated later in the week, keep an eye out http://cdn.aria.com.au/echarts/chart_aria.pdf (thanks to Grogsta for posting it in last week's thread)
If anybody wants the pdf Top 50 Albums and Singles chart for this week, memo me with your email address and I will pass it on.
