I think I have tuned out of music as a whole in 2020 but am interested to see who people think stands a chance at doing well and possibly topping the hottest 100 this year as the cut off date is only days away? Been a very strange and unusual year all round and the same can be said for music. If Blinding Lights was eligible I could actually see that being a contender for the top spot!
Heat Waves by Glass Animals probably
If Blinding Lights was eligible it would definitely be a great shout - but I definitely concur with Hijinx on this one. "Skin" by Spacey Jane is also another good shout.
no doubt that Spacey Jane are in for a big year but I’m not sure there’s one particular song that stands out as a contender above the rest? They could theoretically get 3 or 4 entries but all below the top 20
For what it’s worth we’ll need to see what’s on the voting list before the contenders emerge this year, but besides “Heat Waves”, there’s a couple from Flume that could feature, maybe Mallrat, The Weeknd or Tamey, or potentially a particular song featuring an Australian politican if it ends up being included by the j’s - could it finally be the year of the meme winning out?

Overall, how are the club bangers doing in the voting? Has the lack of the club and festival scene in the last year been hurting these tunes? Fisher looked pretty low I thought. If I could say one negative self isolating had for me it was not listening to new music as I was hardly driving and being social and a good 90% of the voting list is unheard of for me.

@K8 Energy by Stace Cadet & KLP should do well, maybe not quite top 10 level but top 20 isn't out of the question. The original version has over 15 million streams (as well as numerous remixes - one with 1.3 million plays) on Spotify which is impressive for an Australian track. It's also made the ARIA chart.
Only 350 votes separate the Top 2 songs at the moment...:

Also if it's of interest to anyone, I extracted the voting list from the source code of the voting page, which has 'created_at' fields for every song that presumably relate to when they were added to the list (most of which are 16 Nov 2020, followed by a bunch on 29 Nov - 1 Dec), and there is one song that appears to have been added on 11 Dec, 3 days after voting opened: Megan Thee Stallion - Body (and indeed, like the belated additions to the EOD H100 voting list, Body is not on the PDF). There are a total of 1,278 songs on the list (which is about 200 less than 2019's).
I finally voted!
