Singles Chartifacts:

Justin Bieber takes out the No.1 ARIA Singles spot this week with his three week old entry "Peaches", which becomes his seventh chart-topping track in Australia.

"Peaches" featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon (Def Jam) becomes the 1101st No.1 Single in Australia (1940 to 2021), the 536th for ARIA (1983 to 2021), the third No.1 for this year, the tenth for the record label Def Jam (and their first since "Love Yourself" by JB for seven weeks from Dec 14th, 2015), and as I mentioned earlier the seventh for Justin since he first hit the top in September of 2015 with "What Do You Mean?" (4 weeks).

Justin's last stint at the top in Australia was alongside Ed Sheeran on "I Don't Care" (1 week) on May 20th, 2019, while he has also previously appeared at the top on "Despacito" (13 weeks from May 22nd, 2017) with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, "I'm the One" (2 weeks from May 8th, 2017) the DJ Khaled track, while his first No.1 teaming was with Major Lazer on "Cold Water" (2 weeks from August 1st, 2016), and his second ever No.1 here was with "Love Yourself" (7 weeks from Dec 14th, 2015), his first one is mentioned above. This takes Justin's tally of weeks at No.1 here to thirty in total, placing him equal 20th on the overall listing for 'Most Weeks at No.1 (1940 to 2021)' alongside The Black Eyed Peas, Eminem (both with 8 #1's) and Ed Sheeran (5 #1's), plus as this is his seventh No.1 too, he moves up the list for 'Most No.1 Singles (1940 to 2021)' to equal 19th alongside 1940's singer Vera Lynn, 1950's crooner Eddie Fisher and also with seven is Taylor Swift.

Mr. Bieber is also occupying both top spots on both the singles and albums chart this week, as his latest album "Justice" climbs back into the No.1 Albums position, making this the first time that he has held the top of both charts in Australia, while it also becomes the 135th time that this chart feat has occurred. The last time this happened was back on December 21st, 2020 when Taylor Swift held the top of both charts, while the last Canadian artist to achieve this was The Weeknd on March 30th, 2020, both for a single stay at the top.

Another chart anomaly occurs this week in that a piece of fruit in "Peaches" occupies the No.1 singles spot, with the last edible song to appear in a No.1 song title could possibly have be "Roses" for SAINt JHN (April 2020) or Post Malone with "Sunflower" (Jan 2019), {both items can be eaten, the seeds from the sunflower, the petals from the rose}, I did also find some "Wasabi" for Lee Harding (19th of Dec, 2005) {which is REALLY the last previous food item at No.1}, and a cover by Madonna of "American Pie" (6th of March, 2000), the actual last fruit-based No.1 song I could find was "Lady Marmalade" for Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil' Kim & Mya (14th of May, 2001) {as Marmalade is an extraction from Oranges}. This is also the first time that the word 'Peaches" has appeared in a No.1 song title, while it's not the first 'Peach' to chart, previously we've had entries from 112 (Peaches & Cream, HP-24, 2001), the previous highest charted was "Peaches" for the Presidents of the United States of America (HP-13, 1996), while the first was from Prince in 1993 with "Peach" (HP-28).

Justin Bieber's new No.1 also becomes the 32nd chart-topping single from a Canadian artist, and the song is also sitting at the top this week in New Zealand (3rd straight week) and his homeland (2nd week), while both of those locations also has his album at No.1 this week too, as it stays for a second week in Canada and returns to the top in N.Z.

So the six-week-stretch for "Heat Waves" by Glass Animals is over as the song drops to No.2 this week, while it does pick up a third ▲Platinum sales certification in the process. But what could become the new No.1 song either next week, or in the next few weeks is the current UK, Irish (2nd week) and America (debuted at the top) No.1, and here it jumps up thirteen places to land first week within the Top 10 at No.3 is the latest Lil' Nas X track called "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)", which now becomes his second Top 10 entry in Australia, as this time two years ago his first big hit "Old Town Road" had jumped from 18 to No.2 (chart dated April 15th, 2019), the following week it would begin a thirteen week broken run (four weeks and nine weeks) at the top locally.

Local rapper Masked Wolf climbs to a new peak again this week with "Astronaut in the Ocean", rising to No.4, while the song lands at No.1 spot in Bulgaria for the first time, while after peaking at No.2 in Austria it's down to No.3 this week, with further No.4 placings in Finland and Switzerland, No.6 in New Zealand and Canada, No.5 in Germany, No.8 in Portugal and up to a new peaks of No.12 in America, No.14 in Ireland and No.18 in England, plus the track scores it's first sales cert this week and is newly Gold (●) in sales.

Also scoring their first certification, but achieving ▲Platinum first time around is "The Business" for Tiësto which is down one spot to No.5 after five broken weeks at a peak of No.4. Declining three spots to No.6 is The Kid Laroi with his worldwide hit "Without You", becoming the new longest running Top 10 entry for this week, having spent it's entire 18 weeks charting within the ten. There are two stable Top 10 entries this week at No.7 for Pink with "Cover Me in Sunshine" and at No.9 for the HVME remix of the Travis Scott track "Goosebumps". Former No.1 single "Drivers License" for Olivia Rodrigo is down two places to No.8, but she debuts just outside of the Top 10 this week with her new entry, while also dropping two spots, to bookend the Top 10 this week, is Justin Bieber with "Hold On" to No.10.

TOP 20: Riton and Nightcrawlers see a one place rise to a new peak of No.12 with "Friday", followed by a stable No.14 for Cardi B's "Up", which is now Gold (●) in sales, with the only other rising Top 20 entry being The Weeknd back-to-back with his dropping "Save Your Tears" to No.18 and his 71 week old entry "Blinding Lights" back up two places to No.19.
TOP 30: Also rising one spot to a new chart height is "Your Love (9PM)" for ATB with Topic and A7S to No.21, while the only other riser is the classic "Dreams" for Fleetwood Mac, leaping back up eight to No.27.
TOP 40: After entering the Top 50 last week the Maroon 5 and Megan Thee Stallion teaming "Beautiful Mistakes" rises four places to a new peak of No.36, while holding for a second week at a peak of No.37 is the AJR entry "Bang!", and with her new album scoring the highest new entry this week the Demi Lovato and Sam Fischer duet "What Other People Say" jumps up five places to a new peak of No.39.
TOP 50: Three songs are on hold within this chart region, and five tracks rise, starting with "Lasting Lover" for Sigala (43 to No.41), followed by a newly Gold (●) certified entry "Best Friend" by Saweetie and Doja Cat back up three to No.42. "Dance Monkey" for Tones and I returns to the Top 50 by jumping back up nine places to No.43 after three weeks outside of the fifty, after which rising back up are "Lemonade" for Internet Money (47 to No.44), and also re-entering the Top 50 is "Rockstar" for DaBaby (55 to No.48) after two weeks out, the song also scoring a 5x▲Platinum sales cert.

TOP 20: After returning to the Top 10 for one more week, the Dua Lipa track "Levitating" (HP-4x3, WI10-19) is back down one place to No.11, and after peaking at No.12 last week the Giveon entry "Heartbreak Anniversary" drops back down three to No.15, followed by the other Top 10 Albums chart debut this week in Lil' Tjay and "Calling My Phone", which drops down five places to No.16.
TOP 30: Down three places each are two Justin Bieber entries in "Anyone" (19 to No.22, newly ▲Platinum) and "Holy" (27 to No.30). "Streets" for Doja Cat is also down three to No.23 and the Ava Max entry "My Head and My Heart" dips two places to No.28 and is now Gold (●) in sales.
TOP 40: After two weeks of rebounds, the Amy Shark and Keith Urban entry "Love Songs Ain't for Us" is this week down five places to No.38, after which there's a one place dip to No.40 for the former No.1 song "WAP" for Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, the song now after 35 weeks of charting has finally been sales certified as 3x▲Platinum, it's first ever certification.
TOP 50: Only one song drops down within the Top 50 this week in the Kali Uchuis entry "Telepatia", declining three places to No.45. Falling hard out of last weeks Top 50 are the redone Taylor Swift track "You All Over Me" (#34), two Justin Bieber entries in "As I Am" (#36) and "Unstable" (#41), plus the CJ entry "Whoopty" (#48), which scores is first ever certification too, newly ▲Platinum in sales.

* #13 - Deja Vu by Olivia Rodrigo (Geffen/Interscope) becomes the second chart entry for the former Disney star, after her six week running No.1 song "Driver's License" (TW-8) which started at the top in January of this year. This will be the second single lifted from her forthcoming (May 21st) debut album "*O*R", plus her former 'High School Musical: The Series' single "All I Want" went ▲Platinum during March (it didn't crack the Top 100 locally).

* #47 - Body by Russ Millions and Tion Wayne (Atlantic) is the first Australian singles chart entry for the British rapper born Shylo Batchelor Ashby Milwood in 1996, which according to the ARIA singles page this week, jumps up from 103 last week to land first week within the Top 50 at No.47. The song has so far peaked at No.12 in his homeland, becoming his fourth entry there since his first entry in 2018 "Gun Lean" (HP-9).

Albums Chartifacts:

Justin Bieber returns to the No.1 spot this week with his sixth album "Justice" for a second week at the top in Australia.

"Justice" was first at the top two weeks ago (March 29th) and also returns to the top in New Zealand and holds a for a second week at No.1 in his homeland of Canada. He also holds the No.1 singles spot in those countries and Australia with his song "Peaches", making Justin topping both charts the 135th time this has happened locally, and a first for JB. It's also the second time that Mr. Bieber has returned to the No.1 spot here, as his first chart-topping album "My Worlds" was at the pinnacle twice for a single week apiece on the 3rd and 24th of May, 2010 (the album was No.1 in Canada this week in 2010 {2 of 4 weeks}).

Justin Bieber takes his tally of weeks at No.1 in Australia to six weeks in total, moving him from equal 121st to now equal 107th on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums (1965 to 2021)' alongside local act John Butler Trio (6 weeks, 4 #1 LP's). The returning No.1 album also becomes the second for 2021 to reclaim the top spot, after Dua Lipa did so for a second week on March 22nd with her "Future Nostalgia" album, which is back up two places this week to No.2.

Apart from the two debuts within the Top 10, all of the albums climb in or into the ten this week, with The Weeknd's "The Highlights" collection rebounding five places to No.3, The Kid Laroi's mixtape and EP is back up three to No.4, followed by a second five spot jump for Harry Styles' "Fine Line" to No.5. Pop Smoke rises three places to No.6 with his album "Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon'', followed by a four place climb back into the Top 10 for an overall 83rd week inside of the ten for Billie Eilish and "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go" to No.7.

Demi Lovato scores the highest new entry of the week with her seventh studio album "Dancing With the Devil... The Art of Starting Over" coming in at No.8, the same position her sixth album "Tell Me You Love Me" debuted and peaked at in October of 2017, while overall this is her sixth albums chart entry and her third Top 10, as her fifth set "Confident" made it to No.3 back in October of 2015.

Entering right after at No.9 is the second album for American rapper Lil' Tjay called "Destined 2 Win", which lands fifty places higher than his first album "True 2 Myself" (HP-59) achieved on October 21st, 2019, thus this becomes his first Top 10 album in Australia, helped by the recent No.3 single from the set "Calling My Phone" (TW-16) and also it's second entry "Headshot" (HP-70, April 5th, 2021). Rising back up seven spots to land at No.10 is this week's No.5 selling vinyl album "Rumours" for Fleetwood Mac, landing it's fifth week within the Top 10 during the ARIA chart period, and it was last within the Top 10 here at No.9 on the 26th of October, 2020 (prior to that it spent three weeks within the ten in May and June of 2011 peaking at No.2).

TOP 20: Elton John's "Diamonds" rises four to No.11, with other risings collections being for Maroon 5 (HP-17) 20 to No.18 and Eminem's "Curtain Call: The Hits" (23 to No.19), while Eminem also cracks a 2x Diamond sales certification this week for his 2002 album "The Eminem Show", only the second album to ever achieve such a sales feat after Michael Buble's "Christmas" album.
TOP 30: Luke Combs' first album "This One's For You" rises back up five to No.21, the Queen biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' rebounds fourteen places to No.24, the Arctic Monkeys "AM" set leaps ten places to No.25 (#3 vinyl LP this week), as too does the INXS "Very Best of" (37 to No.27). The first Harry Styles self titled album is back up five to No.26, while Taylor Swift's "1989" is back up four spots to No.28.
TOP 40: Lime Cordiale's "14 Steps to a Better You" leaps back up twelve chart rungs to No.31, followed by a three place rise to No.33 for the Sam Smith set "Love Goes", while Taylor again rises with an older album in "Lover", up twelve places to No.36.
TOP 50: Dua Lipa's first album is back up five spots to No.41, followed by a five place climb to No.42 for The Weeknd's "After Hours" set (those two artists are also back-to-back at No.2 and No.3 higher up the chart), while the recent No.10 singles chart peak for the Bruno Mars project Silk Sonic has helped his older album "Doo-Wops and Hooligans" to jump back up ten spots this week to land at No.43. Also rising from last week's lower fifty are collections for Green Day (51 to No.45) and Bon Jovi (66 to No.46), while Post Malone rises back up seven spots to No.50 with his second album "Beerbongs and Bentleys".

TOP 20: The first two of four albums to leave the Top 10 this week is the Lana Del Rey album "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" (HP-2, WI10-2) down six to No.12 and "The Bitter Truth" (HP-3, WI10-1) for Evanescence, down fourteen places to No.17. The only other drop is Taylor Swift down two places to No.15 with "evermore", landing just ahead of her stable No.16 entry "folklore".
TOP 30: With eight climbing albums and one stable Lewis Capaldi at No.29, the only falling album within this chart region is Spacey Jane with "Sunlight", back down six places to No.30 after leaping from 39 to No.24 last week.
TOP 40: The two other Top 10 dropouts this week fall into the Top 40 this week, both new entries to the chart in "Clouds (The mixtape)" by NF (HP-5, WI10-1) down twenty-eight spots to No.32 and last weeks No.1 entry for local act Skegss and "Rehearsal" (HP-1, WI10-1) plummeting thirty-nine places to No.40. The 'Hamilton' cast recording slides back down seven spots to No.34 after returning to the Top 50 last week thanks to its Sydney stage opening, and The Wiggles "We're All Fruit Salad" collection declines four spots to No.37.
TOP 50: Benny Blanco's repackaged "Friends Keep Secrets 2" set which returned to the chart last week at No.39 (former peak of No.55 in January of 2019) is down only five spots this week to No.44, while also falling five to No.49 is Miley Cyrus with her "Plastic Hearts" album. Last week's high placed albums to fall hard this week were by Tomahawk (#18 debut), Tame Impala (#19 return), Troye Sivan (#28 return) and Troy Cassar-Daley (#30).

* In regards to my edible analogies regarding the No.1 spot, feel free to offer other food items that were No.1's in Australia.

Here's one...
"Eat it" by Weird Al Yankovic, 1 week in 1984.
"The Ketchup Song" by Las Ketchup in 2002.

(I could've gone with WAP, but it's not a food group I'm aware of).

savagegrant sent me this list yesterday...

lower entries updated and three more new certs, all major rising in P's

No answers to my question above yet?
Here are some I can think of:

The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever
Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby
Seal - Kiss From A Rose
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Las Ketchup - The Ketchup Song
Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Pink & Mya - Lady Marmalade
For the record The Ketchup Song was No.1 in australia in 2002 not 2001.
thanks Jesse'77, fixed that date and added a heap more titles from SG1!
