Hovering at No.1 for a ninth "Stay" this week in Australia are local rapper and singer Kid Laroi with Canadian Justin Bieber, one of nine countries to make it a chart-topping song this week.

"Stay" remains again at No.1 in New Zealand for a ninth week, becoming their second longest running Aussie performed chart-topper since "Dance Monkey" for Tones and I logged eleven broken weeks at the top in N.Z., while the song is also again at the top in Norway (8 weeks), Canada (6th week), Sweden (4 weeks), Austria (3rd week), Denmark, Finland and The Netherlands (2nd week in all locales) and a fourth week as the No.1 song on the World Chart, while the track drops to No.2 in America, Germany, remains at No.2 in Ireland and Switzerland, climbs to No.3 in France, drops to No.4 in England and holds a No.6 peak in Portugal for a second week.

In 2020, two songs racked up eleven weeks at No.1, "Blinding Lights" for The Weeknd (late Jan to mid April) and "Mood" for 24KGOLDN (early October to early Jan 2021), but they also had broken runs at the top, with 'Lights' scoring ten initial weeks (27-Jan to 30-March) and then on more week (on April 20th), while 'Mood' had three runs at the top (5-Oct to 26-Oct, 16-Nov to 14-Dec and then 4th & 11th of January, 2021). Suffice to say that "Stay" holding a ninth consecutive week makes it the second longest continual run at No.1 for this decade, while for local Aussie acts, the last No.1 to stay for nine weeks was by Justice Crew with "Que Sera" in 2014 (12-May to 7-July), while the only other Aussie act to log nine weeks at No.1 was a pre-ARIA No.1 for Olivia Newton-John alongside John Travolta and "You're the One That I Want" (2 weeks on June 26th & July 3rd, then seven consecutive weeks from Aug 21st, 1978), and "Stay" has now joined 27 other tracks since 1940 to rack up nine weeks at No.1.

Not only is "Stay" the second longest overall No.1 for this decade behind the two 11 weeks runs I mentioned before, but on the tally for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Singles; 2020's' Kid Laroi is in outright second with ten overall weeks and Justin Bieber is now equal No.1 with the most amount of time at No.1 this decade, tying with Olivia Rodrigo (2 #1's and 11 weeks), plus JB this week ties with Madonna's 40 weeks at No.1 record on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Singles (1940 to 2021), from his eight overall chart-topping appearances (lead and guest vocalist),

For the eleventh time in 2021, a slew of new tracks from a major artists new album has swamped the Top 50 Singles Chart, but this time Drake has goose-stepped all over the chart with TWENTY new entries, surpassing last weeks record breaking 19 achieved by Kanye West, while the album's 21st track has most likely landed in the lower fifty, whereas Kanye had 19 in tracks within the Top 50, he did land 27 within the Top 100, of which Drake has not this week (I'm only assuming as I haven't seen the full report). Below is a list of the eleven acts and dates for 2021 when we've seen a mass debut from a new album...
March 29, Justin Bieber
April 19th, Taylor Swift
May 24th, J. Cole
May 31st, Olivia Rodrigo
July 5th, Tyler, the Creator
July 26th, Pop Smoke
August 2nd, The Kid Laroi
August 9th, Billie Eilish
August 30th, Lorde
Sept. 6th, Kanye West
Sept. 13th, Drake

Drake land's five new Top 10 debuts this week with tracks from his sixth studio album called "Certified Lover Boy". Coming in at No.2 is "Girls Want Girls" (with Lil' Baby), followed at No.3 by "Fair Trade" (feat. Travis Scott), after which are "Champagne Poetry" at No.6 (samples "Michelle" by The Beatles), "Way 2 Sexy" (with Future and Young Thug, sampling "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred) at No.7 and "Papi's Home" at No.8 (samples "Daddy's Home" as performed by Jordan). These new Drake entries become his 19th to 23rd Top 10 entries in Australia, and he last appeared in the Top 10 on March 15th, 2021 with "What's Next" which debuted and peaked at No.7, alongside two further tracks that week in "Wants & Needs" (#15) and "Lemon Pepper Freestyle" (#26).

After eight weeks of sitting at No.2, Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits" this week drops down two places to land at No.4, while the song remains at No.1 in both England and Ireland for an eleventh week, plus he issued another new track on Friday called "Shivers". This is followed by a two place dip to No.5 for the Elton John and Dua Lipa track "Cold Heart" (PNAU Remix), with the song this week rising to new peaks in both New Zealand (#9) and England (23 to No.11).

The only one of Kanye West's Top 10 debuts from last week to score a second week was his highest entry in "Hurricane", which this week drops down five spots to No.9, followed by something which causes hurricanes...heat waves. The top and tail of the Top 10 are on hold this week, with "Heat Waves" for Glass Animals remaining at No.10 here. The song is also in the same chart position in both New Zealand and England, where after 43 weeks within the UK T100 the song is spending it's first week in the UK Top 10. In Oz the song is scoring it's 32nd week within our Top 10, becoming the outright third longest running Top 10 entry in Australian Chart History, rising above the 31 weeks racked up by "Sunflowers" for Post Malone and "Levitating" for Dua Lipa.

* There are more stable tracks within the Top 50 this week than climbing tracks, with the two Top 10 non-movers being No.1 and No.10, the only song to rise within or into the Top 50 is the first No.1 song of the year for Olivia Rodrigo and "Driver's License", back up ten places to land at No.48.

TOP 20: The first of five Top 10 dropouts this week is the Lil' Nas X and Jack Harlow track "Industry Baby" (HP-5x3, WI10-6), down five spots to No.11, with two further fallouts landing within the Top 20 in "Good 4 U" (HP-1x5, WI10-16) for Olivia Rodrigo down seven to No.15 and Måneskin with their cover of "Beggin'" (HP-3, WI10-10), tumbling ten spots to No.17, with the fourth and final non-Drake Top 20 entry being a nine place slump to No.20 for Billie Eilish with "Happier Than Ever".
TOP 30: Drake has three T30 new entries, as too does Doja Cat, who is down into the T30 with "Kiss Me More" (14 to No.21), "Need to Know" (12 to No.22) and "Woman" (26 to No.30), while Kanye West sees two Top 10 dropouts in "Jail" (HP-5) and "Off the Grid" (HP-9) after a single week within the Top 10, both falling to No.24 and No.26 respectively, while in-between those two at No.25 (down from #18) is "Levitating" by Dua Lipa.
TOP 40: Drop down tracks within the T30 are Ed Sheeran's "Visiting Hours'' (16 to No.31), "Montero" for Lil' Nas X (23 to No.32), "Dreams" by Jolyon Petch (21 to No.34) and ten place falls for both "2055" for Sleepy Hallow and "Save Your Tears" by The Weeknd to No.35 and No.37 respectively.
TOP 50: Kanye West is down from 19 to four Top 50 entries this week, the last of which to survive for a second week within the fifty is "Moon" (15 to No.43), while around that entry are three Aussie acts in Clinton Kane with "I Guess I'm in Love'' (33 to No.42), "Without You" for Kid Laroi and Miley Cyrus (32 to No.44) and "Missing Piece" for Vance Joy (28 to No.45, newly▲Platinum in sales). The Weeknd's "Take My Breath" falls twelve chart rungs to No.47, Tom Grennan with "Little Bit of Love" drops thirteen spots to No.49 and down ten places to land at No.50 is Olivia Rodrigo's "Traitor" (now▲Platinum).

The albums 21st track is called "The Remorse", and it has probably landed in the lower fifty this week, while for Drake this is the first time since his fifth album "Scorpion" on July 9th, 2018 that he has thrown so many song onto the chart, back then it was 21 songs within the Top 100, eleven of those within the Top 50 and four within the Top 10. So he surpasses that total by landing 20 Top 50 entries and five Top 10 placements.

* #27 - Don't Shut Me Down by ABBA (Polar Music/UMA)
* #39 - I Still Have Faith in You by ABBA (Polar Music/UMA) is the first new music from the Swedish pop act since their last chart entry of "Under Attack" (AMR.HP-96, February 1983), while for the ARIA Charts this is their fourth and fifth Top 100 and third and fourth Top 50 placements, while overall these two new entries become their 31st and 32nd chart entries in Australia since their first in November of 1973 with "Ring Ring" (AMR.HP-92), which charted eight months before "Waterloo" won Eurovision in 1974. These two new tracks from the foursome are the first taste of an album due in early November, with the group's previous ARIA Singles Chart entries being "Dancing Queen" (HP-37, peaked late Nov 1992 {charting again as re-entry in July 2008 reaching No.58}), and then when the Meryl Streep musical film 'Mamma Mia' was screening, the band scored two further re-entries in "Mamma Mia" (HP-48 on July 21st) and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)" (HP-64, July 21st, 2008).

Albums Chartifacts:

Canadian artist Drake sees his sixth studio album "Certified Lover Boy" become his fourth No.1 Album in Australia, comprising three studio sets and one mixtape.

"Certified Lover Boy" (OVO Sound/Republic) becomes the 925th No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2021), the 775th for ARIA (1983 to 2021), the 561st to debut at the top and the 25th No.1 for the year plus the 18th for the record label Republic (second this year after Taylor Swift on April 19th), while Drake previously hit No.1 with "Views" (1 week on May 9th, 2016), "Scorpion" (3 broken weeks on July 9th and 16th and again on August 20th, 2018), and last year he spent two weeks at the top with his mixtape "Dark Lane Demo Tapes" (11th & 18th of May, 2020). The album has also debuted at No.1 so far in England, Ireland, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Lithuania and Norway, plus No..2 in Sweden and Italy.

This new No.1 set for Drake gives him seven accumulated weeks at No.1 from his fourth chart-topping albums, moving him up to equal 93rd on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums (1965-2021) alongside The Police and Justin Bieber (7 weeks from 4 #1's), while Drake's fourth No.1 album also puts him alongside Kanye West, who achieved the feat last week, who along with 5SOS, Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon and Justin Bieber have all scored their fourth No.1 sets during this decade. Drake also notches up his third week at No.1 this decade, moving him to equal third on the list for 'Most Weeks at No.1: 2020's; Albums' alongside Billie Eilish (3 weeks from 2 #1's), above them are AC/DC (4 weeks), Olivia Rodrigo (7 weeks) and Taylor Swift has the most with nine weeks from three No.1's this decade.

This is the first time that the word 'Certified' and 'Boy' have appeared in a No.1 Album title, although there were two former 'Boy' infused albums in Elton John's June 1975 album "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" (5 weeks) and "Starboy" for The Weeknd (1 week on Dec. 5th, 2016), while for 'Lover' this is the second after Taylor Swift with "Lover" (1 week on Sept. 2nd, 2019). For Canadian artists, this is the 35th No.1 Album by an act from Canada (solo male or female, duo or group) and the second for this year after Justin Bieber for three weeks in March, April and May, while for Solo Male Artists (local or overseas) this is the 264th in total. Of the twelve Canadian act to have made it to No.1 in Australia, Drake is now tied in second place with the most No.1 albums at four alongside Justin Bieber, while ahead of them both on five apiece are Celine Dion and Michael Buble, while scoring three each are Shania Twain and The Weeknd.

Last week's No.1 entry for Kanye West and "DONDA" is down one place this week to No.2, with the set landing at No.1 in both The U.S.A. and Canada this past week. After which is the second of three Top 10 entries this week, coming in at No.3 is the seventeenth studio album for Iron Maiden called "Senjutsu" (Japanese for 'Tactics & Strategy'), becoming their third consecutive Top 3 studio album in a row and their fourth Top 10 placed album overall. The group last charted with "The Book of Souls" (LP#16, HP-2, Sept. 2015) and "The Final Frontier" (LP#15, HP-2, August 2010) six and eleven years ago respectively, while they did chart two live albums between this new and their last studio albums, "The Book of Soul: Live Chapter" (Live#12, HP-17, Nov. 2017) and "Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City" (Live#13, HP-52, Nov. 2020)

The two stable albums within the Top 10 this week are "SOUR" for Olivia Rodrigo and "Planet Her" by Doja Cat at No.4 and No.5 respectively, with last week's No.2 entry for Bliss N' Eso and "The Sun" dipping four spots this week to No.6. Swapping places are Billie Eilish with "Happier Than Ever" back up one place to No.7, while Kid Laroi's "F**k Love" sets are down one to No.8, followed by a two place rebound to No.9 for the Dua Lipa second album "Future Nostalgia" for a 46th week within the Top 10. Debuting at No.10 is the fifth studio and Top 10 album for Imagine Dragons called "Mercury - Act 1", which keeps their Top 10 track record complete (five from five), but breaks their run of No.4 peaking album (so far), as their first four albums all made it to No.4, their debut set "Night Visions" climbed to that chart height, but their next three album all debuted and peaked first week at four.

TOP 20: With Guy Sebastian performing his latest single "Believer" while he's a mentor/judge on 'The Voice' last week, his last studio album "T.R.U.T.H." rebounds forty-six spots this week to leap from No.58 to No.12, having also leapt from 69 to No.26 on August 30th, with the album last this high up on the Albums chart on January 11th of this year. Eight-member South Korean boy-band Stray Kids see their second album "NoEasy" leap forty-five places to land first week within the Top 50 at No.14, thanks to it's physical release last week, the album having logged two weeks in the lower fifty at No.61 and No.55 in the past three weeks. But outdone by both acts is a rebound back into the Top 100 at No.18 for the ABBA compilation "ABBA Gold & More", thanks to the group issuing two brand new songs last week, which hit the Top 50 singles chart this week at No.27 and No.39. The album last landed within the Top 100 on May 25th, 2020 (#75)
TOP 30 & 40: No climbing albums in either chart region.
TOP 50: Two albums climb back up into the Top 50 this week in the self-titled debut set for Harry Styles, rising twenty spots to No.43 and the Cold Chisel collection "The Best of: All for You" up eight places to No.48.

TOP 20: Two of the four Top 10 dropouts land within the Top 20, as last weeks No.3 entry for Halsey with "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" (HP-3, WI10-1) falls down eight spots to No.11 and the Lorde third set "Solar Power" (HP-1x1, WI10-2) is down four to No.13. Justin Bieber's "Justice" album drops four spots to No.16, while slipping five to No.20 is the Ed Sheeran third album "÷ (Divide)".
TOP 30: Both Luke Combs' albums drop two places each, with "What You See is What You Get" down to No.21 and "This One's for You" slipping to No.27, while the debut Billie Eilish album "When We All Fall Asleep..." is also down two spots to No.23, it's equal lowest position last achieved for a single week on the Dec, 28th, 2020 chart. Pop Smoke's "Shoot for the Stars..." is down three to No.29, followed by the third Top 10 dropout for CHVRCHES and "Screen Violence" (HP-6, WI10-1) falling twenty-four spots to No.30.
TOP 40: Juice WRLD's "Legends Never Die" drops down six places to No.36, while the Slim Dusty compilation "Gone Fishin" falls eleven spots to No.39, with last weekend's Australian Father's Day possibly keeping it within the Top 50 this week.
TOP 50: Falling five to No.41 for it's first Top 50 berth since June 21st is the XXXTentaction set "?", while dropping seven places each are the Green Day "GH: God's Favourite Band" and Bruno Mars' "Doo-Wops and Hooligans" to No.45 and No.46 respectively. Kanye's 2010 set 'Dark Twisted Fantasy' falls back down four to No.47, with the Post Malone set "Hollywood's Bleeding" falling five to No.50. The fourth and final Top 10 dropout was last weeks No.10 entry for OneRepublic and "Human" (HP-10, WI10-1), with further big falling albums from last week being for Gretta Ray (#13), The Bronxs (#16), Trippie Redd (#31) and Ngaiire (#32).

Fascicle chart the last two weeks, might aswell call it a streaming chart now or better still knock it down to a Top 20 because everything else is irrelevant to the mainstream
Driver's License can't have gone up 25 places if it was at #58 the previous week and be at #48, It went up 10 places this week (double checked on aria's website)
Chartifacts updated for this week.
Legitimately could not tell you my thought process there
Legitimately impressed that even with the Drake album bomb, Glass Animals managed to hold their spot and stay in the top 10. Must have been a strong week for "Heat Waves" (or a weak week for the other top 10 entries that slid below it, probably mostly Kanye drop-offs from last week).

Also, has there ever been a week before where the bottom 10 tracks from the previous week (spots 41-50) all dropped out?
It happened the week Prince died: https://australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&id=46578#103

Not saying that is or isn't the last time, it's just the first one I found
As is always the case, TikTok is discovering a hit song they discovered months ago (and months ago before that, so around the world Heat Waves is more popular than ever before, which always splashes over even if it's already been a hit 4 times here. Perhaps soon they'll discover Levitating again.
lower entries updated, plus five more certs added to this weeks list.
Just an FYI, if it matters to you, that there's no way "A-O-K" debuted based on the version with 24kGoldn, because that was only released on September 10
