As I've done in previous years, I'll be tabulating a special chart based on points for singles and albums. There won't be a compilation chart this year as that found its demise last year. In place of that I will post a Te Reo Singles chart instead.

Chart Beat - NZ Music Month 2022

The chart has really slowed down over the last year, especially for older entries. Looking at this years NZ Music Month Chart, there is not too much difference from last years. L.A.B. are the winners with In The Air; that song also topping the chart in 2020. The album chart is even more stable with Six(60) topping the annual list for a third year in a row with Six60(3). Of the Top 10, nine of the albums were in last years list. It's all looking very boring. Last year saw the death of the compilation chart. In it's place I have compiled the Top 10 Te Reo Singles, also based on points.
