Singles Chartifacts:

Holding onto the No.1 spot for a second week is the David Guetta and Bebe Rexha dance track "I'm Good (Blue)", with the song also taking the top spot in England and Canada this week too.

After five weeks of different No.1 songs at the top, the French DJ and American singer see their Eiffel 65 infused track "I'm Good (Blue)" log a second stay at the top in Australia, while it has held for a third week in Norway and also second week in Switzerland, plus it has risen to No.1 in England, Canada, Denmark and The Netherlands for it's first stay in all four regions.

The song is also at No.2 in Ireland, Sweden and Finland, while it's remained stable in Germany (No.3), New Zealand (No.4) and jumped 46 to No.31 in the U.S.A. this past week. David's overall weeks at No.1 in Australia have now increased to 10 weeks, moving him up the listing for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Singles (1940 to 2022)' from equal 71st to now equal 68th alongside Suzi Quatro, The Seekers, Del Shannon, Roxette and Nelly.

The entire top three is on hold this week, with "Super Freaky Girl" for Nicki Minaj at No.2 and "I Ain't Worried" by OneRepublic at No.3, while both songs also pick up new sales certifications of Gold (●) (for Nicki) and ▲Platinum (for 1Rep) respectively. Nicki's song also logs a fifth straight week at No.1 in New Zealand this week, while her Rick James swept track also rebounds to No.3 in the U.S.A. too.

The only song climbing within the Top 10 this week is the six-week-running Irish No.1 single for Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal with "B.O.T.A. (Baddest of All Time)", which rises three places to a new peak of No.4 here, while the song has also climbed into the NZ Top 10 this week (11 to No.7) and debuted in Canada (No.82). This is followed by the highest new entry for the week at No.5, BlackPink with "Shut Down", the second Top 10 and Top 5 single from their second album "Born Pink" which lands at No.2 on the ARIA Albums Chart this week, with the new entry now becoming their third Top 10 placement in Australia.

Leaving the Top 5 for the first time in almost half-a-year, down two places to No.6 is the Harry Styles track "As it Was", which is also logging it's 14th week at No.1 in The U.S.A. this week, and the song's 25th week within the Australian Top 10 now makes it the equal 13th longest running Top 10 locally, while the still front-runner on that listing at 85 weeks is "Heat Waves" for Glass Animals, which this week dips one spot to No.7.

Down three spots to No.8 is the current NZ No.2 single for Chris Brown and "Under the Influence", while the recent Canadian No.1 track for Nicky Youre and dazy with "Sunroof" (CA.TW-2) dips one spot here to No.9 after three weeks of holding at a peak of No.8, after which Steve Lacy's "Bad Habit" logs a tenth week within the Top 10 by dipping one place to No.10.

UP:
UK rapper Central Cee started his Australian tour this past week (Sept. 22 in Melbourne) and will continue for the next two weeks here and in New Zealand. His highest charted entry locally "Doja" is back up one spot to No.16, but will more likely move back up more next week after he has performed more shows around the country. The only other climbing track within or into the Top 20 is an eleven place rebound to No.18 for BlackPink's "Pink Venom", which leaps back up thanks to their new album coming in at No.2. "Cold Heart" for Elton John and Dua Lipa remains on hold at No.14 and is newly 7x▲Platinum in sales, while "Stay" for The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber remain at No.15 for the fifth time in the past six weeks (since August 22nd {Sept. 12th it was at No.14}).

The new track "Forget Me" for Lewis Capaldi rises three places to a new peak of No.21 this week, with the song dipping to No.2 in England after debuting at the top last week, while the 'Club Tropicana' infused video clip sees the song also sit at No.3 in Ireland and climb to No.22 in New Zealand this week. Ed's "Bad Habits" climb back up one spot to No.25, while the second single from Beyoncé's latest set and "Cuff it" (HP-24) leaps eighteen places to land at No.29, as the Teena Marie "Ooh La La La" interpolated track also jumps to No.5 in New Zealand.

Billie Eilish will be finishing up her Australian tour this coming week, playing Melbourne on Monday and Perth later in the week, which has helped her single "Happier Than Ever" to jump up eighteen places this week to land at No.32, while she joins the namesake-song league as rapper Armani White sees his first ever Top 50 placement with his track "BILLIE EILISH", which has jumped up twenty-seven spots to land at No.42, the tracks highest placement anywhere in the world this week.

Possibly due to it's inclusion in the ads for the upcoming Ch.10 show 'The Real Love Boat', the Lizzo single "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)" has jumped this week seven places to a new peak of No.34, while the last two climbing tracks within the Top 50 are "Sweater Weather" for The Neighbourhood, up one to No.38, followed by a three place rise to No.39 for "Levitating" by Dua Lipa.

DOWN:
Four weeks ago the Elton John and Britney Spears track "Hold Me Closer" debuted at No.1, and now this week the song departs the Top 10 after three weeks within it, down one spot to No.11, giving Elton two tracks and two duets within the Top 20 this week. Dipping one place each are Post Malone and Doja Cat with "I Like You (A Happier Song)" (now ▲Platinum) and "About Damn Time" for Lizzo to No.12 and No.13 respectively, while two four-place drops occur within the Top 20 for Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" (13 to No.17) and "Vegas" for Doja Cat (16 to No.20).

Luke Combs has two Top 50 entries this week after his mass return last week, with "The Kind of Love We Make" down one spot to No.22 and now Gold (●) in sales, while his second Top 50 placement this week is "When it Rains it Pours", which falls seven spots to No.43. Jack Harlow and "First Class" leave the Top 20 for the first time in its 24 week chart run, falling five places to No.24, while Joji's "Glimpse of Us" drops six places to land at No.26 (also out of the T20 for the first time), and Harry Styles' "Late Night Talking" drops down five spots to No.28.

With one Beyoncé track rising, she falls down with her other Top 50 entry this week, as "Break My Soul" falls six spots to No.33, "Another Love" for Tom Odell drops five to No.35, followed by a four place dip to No.36 for "Ghost" by Justin Bieber which has now accumulated one-year within the Top 100 (2 weeks initially from March 29th, 2021; and then 50 weeks since it's return on Oct. 18th, 2021). Three further falls occur for team-up/duet tracks for Mac Miller and The Temper Trap with "Love Lost" (33 to No.40), "Sway My Way" for R3HAB and Amy Shark (35 to No.44) and "Jimmy Cooks" by Drake and 21 Savage (38 to No.47).

FURTHER NEW ENTRIES:
* #5 - Shut Down by BlackPink (YG Entertainment/Interscope)

* #48 - Hotel by Montell Fish (Lord's Child) is the first chart entry for the Pittsburgh, America rapper and songwriter, who first started issuing material in 2015. The artist was born Montell Frazier, and took the 'Fish' moniker at the age of 17, with the artist specializing in lo-fi soft pop, chill hip-hop, and R&B that glorifies God.

* #50 - Bound 2 by Kanye West (Def Jam) is a 2013 track from Kanye's "Yeezus" set and was issued as the albums second and final single, originally charting locally on December 2nd, 2013 debuting and peaking at No.56 and logging three weeks within the Top 100. So now the song which interpolates the 1971 track for Ponderosa Twins plus One and "Bound" scores a new peak at No.50 and it's first Top 50 berth. PLUS (thanks to hijinx for the hint), it now also gives Kanye West a Top 50 placement in Australia from ALL thirteen of his studio albums, as the 'Yeezus" set only ever had two songs from it chart, the other being "Black Skinhead" (HP-58).

Albums Chartifacts:

The third studio album for local artist Meg Mac called "Matter of Time" has taken out the No.1 spot in Australia this week.

"Matter of Time" (EMI Australia) becomes the 958th No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2022), the 809th for ARIA (1983 to 2022), the 593rd to debut at No.1, the 28th chart-topping album for 2022, and the 31st for EMI (since their first in 1981), with all thirteen of the past No.1's for EMI (direct) being by Australian acts (since January 1993), while their last was with the Birds of Tokyo No.1 set "Human Design" on May 4th, 2020.

This is now the first No.1 Album locally for Meg Mac, who has also now garnered her third successive Top 10 album, as her first set "Low Blows" debuted and peaked at No.2 in July of 2017, while she last charted with her second set "Hope" (HP-9, June 2019). This is also the first time that the word 'Matter' has appeared in a No.1 Albums' title, while it's the eighth for the word 'Time', the last being Gang of Youths in March of 2022 with "angel in realtime", plus Meg's third album has also taken out the top spot on the vinyl sales chart this week too.

This new No.1 Album for Meg Mac is also the tenth by an Australian Act to make it to the top during 2022, and after last week's Parkway Drive at the top, and 5SOS issuing a new album on Friday, it could be a three-weeks run of Aussie artists at the top. Overall this new No.1 album also becomes the 275th No.1 Album by an Australian Act (solo male or female, duo or group), the 153rd by a Solo Female Artist (local or overseas; fifth for 2022), while Meg Mac is also the 132nd Solo Female and the 19th Solo Australian Female Artist to make it to the top.

The tussles for the top spot this week was between local artist Meg Mac and two Asia-based artists in BlackPink and NCT 127, who both see their new albums enter at No.2 and No.3 respectively. BlackPink see their second album "Born Pink" (UK No.1) lands at No.2, the same position their debut set "The Album" entered and peaked at on October 12th, 2020, while the album has now seen two Top 5 singles in "Pink Venom" (TW-19, HP-1) and "Shut Down" which debuts at No.5 this week. The rock-pop all boy group NCT 127 see their new album "2 Baddies - The 4th Album" come in at No.3, becoming their first Top 10 entry and second charted album after "Sticker - The 3rd Album" (HP-16, Sept. 27th, 2021).

Logging a fifth straight week of sitting at No.4 is The Weeknd's collection "The Highlights", followed by a second week at No.5 for Harry Styles' "Harry' House" (No.13 vinyl), with the rest of the Top 10 made up by only two artists; Luke Combs (future tourist) and Billie Eilish (current tourist). After announcing his tour for August of 2023, last week saw all three of Luke's album return to the Top 10, where they remain for this week, with his latest album "Growin' Up" down three spots to No.6, followed by "This One's for You" (7 to No.8, it's first ever run of two successive weeks within the Top 10 during it's 236 weeks on the chart {that's about 4 and-a-half years}) and "What You See Ain't Always What You Get", which also dips three spots to No.9. The other dual artist within the Top 10 is Billie Eilish whose two studio albums climb back into the ten thanks to her current national tour, which will wind up in Perth this coming week. Her second set "Happier Than Ever" is up four spots to No.7 (WI10-15) and her debut release "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" moves up three spots to No.10 (WI10-87).

UP:
Ed Sheeran and his "= (equals)" set moves back up a spot to No.1, while Daniel Johns' former No.1 "FutureNever" rebounds ten places to land back within the Top 20 at No.18. There are six non-movers and six climbing albums within the Top 50 this week, with further climbs being for tourist Billie Eilish and her EP "Don't Smile at Me" which is back up eighteen spots to No.37 (it's first Top 50 placement since January 3rd when it was at No.48), while Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" is back up four spots to No.41.

DOWN:
Leaving the Top 10 this week are five albums, starting with "SOUR" for Olivia Rodrigo (HP-1x8, WI10-69), which leaves the Top 10 for the first time in it's 70 week chart-run, plus the album is newly 2x▲Platinum in sales. The four further dropouts all entered the chart and the Top 10 last week, with the new Canadian No.1 Album for Ozzy Osbourne and "Patient Number 9" (HP-2, No.4 vinyl) down twelve spots to No.14, last week's No.1 entry for Parkway Drive and "Darker Still" falls fourteen places to No.15, the Robbie Williams new redone collection "XXV" (No.3 vinyl) falls eleven spots to No.19, but with him in the country at the moment on a promo tour, playing the AFL Grand Final on Saturday and announcing a 2023 national tour, he should either climb back up one stabilize next week.

Both Eminem collections are within the Top 20 and fall two places each this week, with 'Curtain Call: The Hits" down to No.17 and "Curtain Call 2" to No.20, followed by falling best of sets for Maroon 5 (20 to No.21), Elton John (27 to No.31) and Foo Fighters (29 to No.39). Beyoncé drops out of the Top 20 for the first time with her "Renaissance (Act 1)" set, down six to No.22, while also dropping six places to No.29 is Harry Styles' "Fine Line".

"Look at Me: The Album" for XXXTentacion falls to its lowest position of No.30 this week (LW-25), while Taylor Swift is down to only three albums within the Top 50 this week, "1989" (30 to No.32), "folklore" (stable at No.34) and "Lover" (37 to No.38), after which The Kid Laroi sees his "F**k Love" mixtapes also hit it's lowest chart spot, down two this week to No.40, while his "Stay" duet partner Justin Bieber leaves the Top 40 for the first time with his "Justice" set, dropping seven places to No.46. The last big drops occur for Kane Brown with "Different Man" (17 to No.48) and leaving from last week's Top 10 is Marlon Williams' "My Boy" (HP-10).

* #28 (LP#2) - Travelling Heart by TC Cassidy (Rivershack) is the first chart entry for the local country singer, with this set coming in at No.2 on the ARIA Country Chart, and becoming her first new album since 1994's self-titled set (the only other album of her's I could find).

* #42 (LP#1) - Girl of My Dreams by Fletcher (Capitol) is the debut studio album for the American singer, who first appeared on the U.S. X-Factor Season 1 in 2011, issuing her first EP of solo material in September of 2016, and now after two further EP's she has landed her first album within the Top 50, while the set has landed in New Zealand's Top 10 at No.9.
