Erst ohne jetzt mit X-tina - und oh Wunder - sie gibt diesem Nerdy-Song eine besondere Note ... ganz ohne Vokal-Spagat ... denn sie begleitet nur.<br><br>Und auch beim Live-Auftritt hielt sie sich angenehm zurück - brauchte nicht kreischen - und zeigte so etwas wie Seele ... das soll mit einer höheren Note belohnt werden.

I really really like it.<br><br>EDIT: OK I'm beginning to dislike it, it's emotional but has no oomph so doesn't really have the effect that it intends to have. Totally agree with alleyt! Christina has always had a tendency to oversing the majority of her songs, so it's great to hear her sing a song in this way. Definitely adds to the emotion of this song. Great listen and definitely a future worldwide hit. |

Hate this deathly dull piece of crap! So tiresome and a chore to sit through. One of the most boring ARIA chart hits of the decade so far. There is nothing remotely interesting about this and it's almost as innocuous as a Voice performance. The inclusion of Christina is absolutely laughable and the hilarity I get from it is probably the only redeemable thing about this. You can barely tell that she makes the slightest contribution and this version barely differs from the one without her.<br><br>It's a real shame television advertising has helped this get to #1 on iTunes and most likely #1 on ARIA as well because imho it's incredibly unmemorable and if it gets there it will probably go down as one of the most forgettable #1s ever in Australia. Hoping it disappears quickly but I'm doubtful that will happen...

If you don't agree, hear the version without her. Fact is, that this song is number one on the Download Charts of the USA. This taps into similar territory of Christina Perri's 'Jar of Hearts' a while back. A song that uncharacteristically I like because, unlike so many ballad hits in the charts, it doesn't come across as cliched in both a musical and lyrical sense. It does lack a bit of energy though behind the production at least, but I can forgive that for a song that I wasn't expecting to think much of anyway. 3.5 |
