Debbi Peterson told me and Pascal that she thought the Atomic Kitten version of their song Eternal Flame was ok - Jonx

Like the original but like this also. The more uptempo is good and vocals very smooth. The video was really good also. 5th UK top 10. 20 weeks in the UK top 100. 211,994 sold while #1. Their second UK#1. UK#1 (2 weeks) and Ireland#2. 400,000 copies sold in the UK.

Their third biggest selling single in the UK.

Quite liked this cover at the time and am more accustomed to this than the Bangles version. Just nice.

Average cover. Human Nature's was better.

TRASH!

Too soppy and dreary for me to like. The same goes for the original.

This is one of Atomic Kitten's best tracks. While their albums can start to feel a bit same-y if you play them start to finish, this really stands out on their first album because it's more of a tender ballad. I felt the more uptempo single remix killed some of the vibe, but it's not terrible.

Was actually expecting worse but it's tolerable.

On one aspect, the vocal performance is more clear on this than The Bangles, though that does reduce the personality a little. I still have a small soft spot for that small bridge that comes in with a cracking good melody though.
